Get Rid Of A Double Chin Without Surgery

A toned, youthful looking body is wanted by everyone, and it's not just toned abs or legs that we want. We want the face, chin and neck to look toned also. A double chin, however, seems to be the hardest area to tone up. You don't have to run to a surgeon, though, and spend thousands of dollars. There are a few exercises you can do at home to firm up your chin, and you can try a chin wrap made at home to give a temporary face lift, all without surgery.

Getting Rid of a Double Chin With Exercise


1. One of the best ways to get rid of a double chin is through exercise. The chin is an overlooked area when it comes to an exercise or fitness program. To begin your exercise, sit in a straight chair with your spine pressed against the back of the chair.


2. Relax your shoulders and don't strain your neck.


3. Tilt your head back. Point your chin toward the ceiling.


4. Open your mouth slightly, and press your bottom jaw out toward the ceiling even further. (Your bottom teeth will jut out farther than your top teeth). Hold this position for 10 seconds.


5. Relax the jaw for 5 seconds, then repeat. Work up to 15 repetitions.


Getting Rid of a Double Chin With a Chin Wrap


6. Grapefruit oil is used in many home detox recipes, as it aids in drawing toxins out of the system. If you have a chin that is exceptionally large, this process may not give you such noticeable results, although it will give some.


7. Add 8 drops of essential grapefruit oil to 1/3 cup of olive oil. Stir.


8. Dip a cotton ball in the mixture, and then rub the mixture on your chin, covering your entire chin.


9. Wrap your chin in plastic wrap, starting at the top of your head, then down around your chin. Continue wrapping until your chin is completely wrapped tightly. (Make sure that the wrapping is done evenly, as the tightness of the wrap will make a difference in the outcome).


10. Wrap a towel around your wrapped chin, and relax for 45 minutes, keeping the chin area warm.


11. After 45 minutes, remove the plastic wrap and rinse the oil off your chin with warm water. Pat dry.


Tips Warnings


The chin exercise can be done anywhere, from when you're stuck in traffic to sitting at your desk.


Grapefruit oil is strong and caustic, so do not apply it directly to the skin without the oil base as it can burn.
