Performance
The Horton Dakota is made for those crossbow enthusiasts who love the power and feel of a recurve style crossbow. The Dakota offers 175 pounds peak draw weight and can send an arrow flying over 300 feet per second. This, combined with a Talon, ultralight trigger, makes the Horton Dakota a deadly match for quick moving game.
Design
The design of the Horton Dakota gives the shooter an ideal hunting or target shooting experience. The crossbow comes equipped with a machined aluminum riser and metal sight bridge. Limb tips are recurve style and are reinforced to withstand enormous pressure and string tension. The crossbow also comes equipped with a weaver style scope mount for adding optics, and some are equipped with a scope for an additional charge.
Dimensions
The Dakota has a length from stock to tip of 36 inches and a bow width of 37 inches. This makes the Horton Dakota easily maneuverable through thick terrain for perfect shot placement when you need it most. With a lightweight design of just 8.5 pounds, the Horton Dakota is easily carried in the field and can drop large game with a well placed shot.
