Bosch Dishwasher doesn't drain water. Drain pump is working. Tubes are not clogg
The problem I have is kind of different. I bought a new drain pump and the problem persists. I dont know what to do anymore. No, tubes are not clogged. The drain pump is working. The filter is very clean. But the water still doesnt drain after the full cycle. What can be? You did not provide the model number for your dishwasher so it's impossible to talk about anything specific. I had a similar problem with my Bosch and it ended up being the main control board. There many parts other than the pump that are in the loop for draining the water. There are several good online appliance parts suppliers that have drawings and instructions for many repairs. If the electric drain pump is suspect ...... you would use a volt meter to check for line voltage on the two wires that go to the motor. Since I don't know where you are located I don't know what you mains voltage is. You said the drain pump was working ? How did you check it. You could remove the line from the sink trap and try again. There is also a check valve at the end of the pump where it attaches to the sump. That could be stuck shut. I am not saying that the problem is the main control board. I just mean that there are many components in the system that can cause the problem. In my case it was the control board but in your case it could be some other, hopefully less expensive part. Testing to find the bad part is usually a much less expensive way to fix a modern appliance than throwing parts, which as you know can get expensive. You didn't get the model number correct. I suspect it's the second because of the voltage. BTW, here in Brazil the voltage is 127v. You said the drain pump was working ? How did you check it. Well, I replaced with a new one and I made it function outside the dishwasher. I held it on my hand while the helice was spinning. The old one is working as well. I saw it working. And it was normal. You could remove the line from the sink trap and try again. I have removed completely the line where the water drained go to the sewers. I've even made an object travel across that line to be sure that it's not obstructed. There is also a check valve at the end of the pump where it attaches to the sump. I will just replace parts until that machine is fixed. I'm not worried with money. It's a matter of honour now! What a minute...... you confirmed the motor is actually turning, the drain line is clear and the check valve is not stuck. That would leave some kind of clog in the sump. The control board sends power to the pump so if the pump was working it's not the board. I would remove pump and try pouring water into bottom of unit to see if it comes out pump opening. Have you seen the pump working while wired into the machine? I assume the same pump is used to send the water throughout the machine to actually do the washing. Is it working for that step in the process? Assuming it works for the cleaning step, have your verified that the drain cycle also causes the pump to spin? Are you in a position to disconnect the drain line and feed it out to the yard or something to watch any sort of draining and rule out a clogged drain? Hopefully the experts will correct any of my logic; 1) If you do not hear the motor spin, then it is not getting power (since you verified that it can spin when actually getting the power needed, we know it isn't jammed). Could be bad wiring to the pump, or bad control board. 2) If you hear the motor spin during a wash cycle, but water doesn't actually move about the unit, then there is an interior clog or an internal hose is not correctly connected to the pump. 3) If the wash cycle works correctly, if the pump does not spin for the rinse cycle, then you have a problem with a switch or control panel as it relates to that cycle 4) If wash cycle works correctly and the pump does spin for the rinse cycle, but no water comes out, then there is something wrong with that specific plumbing (valve not opening, or a clog).
