A chair is fixed to an automated rail that takes you up and down, making it easier on your hips, knees and ankles. If minor problems arise with your stair lift, troubleshoot them yourself before phoning a technician.
Instructions
1. Ensure the seat is in the proper riding position for your model if the unit will not work properly.
2. Remove any obstacles on the stairway that are blocking the footrest or the carriage safety panel if the lift is not functioning. Ensure nothing touches the chair or the safety panel during operation.
3. Check the fuses or circuit breakers if you have no power to the lift and reset or replace them if necessary.
4. Run the carriage down the length of the rail until it's touching the lower charge contact if the battery is low. The unit can still go down on a low battery, but not up.
5. Plug the charger into a live outlet and always park the carriage at one end or the other and not in the middle, so the battery will charge when not in use.
