Buy A Cheap Mini Cooper

The Mini Cooper is a subcompact coupe manufactured in Oxfordshire, England. Popular in the United States during the '60s as a countercultural icon, it returned to the United States in 2002 under BMW's direction.

The main strategy to finding a cheap Mini is to search used cars ads, particularly where the demographic matches. For example, both Craigslist and the Mini have an element of counterculture to them, which would draw current owners to list their car there, and to expect like-minded buyers to be looking. You should be able to find a 2005 or earlier model for under $10,000.

Instructions

1. Search your local Craigslist listings. Go to craigslist.org and find your location on the right side of the screen. Once you're at your geographical location's main page, enter "Mini Cooper" in the "Search Craigslist" box. After your screen is populated with ads, enter "3000" in the left box for "Price" and click "Search." This will filter out ads that are for accessories, instead of cars.

2. Search the used car ads in Cars.com. Select "Mini" for the "Make," not "Cooper." One of the model choices is "Clubman," which refers to the wagon version, a 2-door sedan with a longer wheelbase and spacious interior. You do not have to make a model selection in order to run a search.

3. Try eBay Motors. Specify your location radius and price range in your search. You may find a "Buy It Now" option for Minis selling for less than $10,000.
