Full-hookup campsites include 30- or 50-amp service, water, sewage, a picnic table and fire ring. Cabins have fully-equipped kitchens and private bathrooms, some with Jacuzzi bathtubs. Resort amenities include an outdoor swimming pool, playground, covered picnic pavilion, basketball and shuffleboard courts, horseshoe pits, hiking trails and an Internet cafe. Resort services include bathrooms and shower houses, a laundry facility, propane filling station, convenience store and a chapel. Campers can dine on-site at The Happy Acres Restaurant and Wildlife Lounge or grab snacks from the ice cream parlor. Happy Acres Resort is pet-friendly and is open year-round.

Jim Thorpe Camping Resort


The Jim Thorpe Camping Resort is situated on 28-acres of wooded forest in the small town of Jim Thorpe, less than an hour north of Allentown. The resort offers 139 campsites suitable for tents and RVs, as well as 17 camping cabins. Full-hookup campsites include 30- or 50-amp service, water, sewage, cable television access, a picnic table and fire pit. Cabins sleep up to six people in one bedroom. Resort amenities include an outdoor swimming pool, children's wading pool, playground, covered picnic pavilion, game room, hiking trails and a trout nursery. Resort services include bathrooms and shower houses, a laundry facility, propane filling station, sanitary waste station, convenience store and gift shop. Several restaurants are located three miles east of the resort. Jim Thorpe Camping Resort is pet-friendly and is open from April through October.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort


Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort is located on 63 wooded acres in Quarryville, nearly a half-hour south of Lancaster. The resort offers 157 campsites suitable for tents and RVs, as well as 40 rustic and full-service cabins. Full-hookup campsites include 30- or 50-amp service, water, sewage, cable television access, a picnic table and fire ring. Although all cabins feature an outdoor water faucet, picnic table, fire ring, charcoal grill and air conditioning, full-service cabins also include a kitchenette and private bathroom. Pets are not allowed in cabins. Resort amenities include a 40,000-square-foot. water park, pedal kart track, jumping pillow, video arcade, playground, fishing pond, basketball and shuffleboard courts, horseshoe pits, hiking trails, a paintball field, a wireless Internet hot-spot and a covered pavilion. Resort services include bathrooms and shower houses, a laundry facility, propane filling station, sanitary waste station, convenience store, gift shop and golf cart rentals. Several restaurants are located less than five miles north of the resort. Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort is pet-friendly and is open from April through October.
