Unfog Goggles

Unfog Goggles

Swimming is a popular summer pastime. However, chlorine in swimming pools can irritate eyes, and it is sometimes hard to see in lake water because sand can be stirred up. Swimming goggles can be a good solution for these problems, but the difference in body temperature versus the colder water can cause the lenses to become foggy. Keeping goggles fog free is not difficult, but it might require a bit of trial and error to find the best method.

Instructions

Saliva Method

1. Take goggles off and put a generous amount of saliva on the inside and outside of each lens.

2. Use a finger to rub saliva around the lenses.

3. Rinse the lenses thoroughly with cold water.

4. Put goggles back on and press them firmly to your face to create an airtight seal.

Baby Shampoo Method

5. Place a small drop of baby shampoo on the inside and outside of each lens.

6. Rub baby shampoo around entire surface of both goggle lenses.

7. Rinse baby shampoo with cold water.

8. Put goggles on and and press them firmly to your face to create an airtight seal.

Anti-fogging Solutions

9. Place two drops of anti-fogging solution on the outside of each lens.

10. Spread solution across each lens using a clean cloth.

11. Allow solution to dry thoroughly before using.
