Get your 18-year-old involved in his own live-action video game with a paintball party. Fort Red Rock Paintball offers a 2-hour private party with up to eight people for $200. Additional guests are $25 each. Guns, masks and 200 paintballs are provided, but refreshments must either be brought or purchased from the snack bar. If you want a late-night firefight, $560 will buy a private nighttime party for up to 16 people.

Roller Motion Skate Party
Roller Motion Skate Center, which is located 14 miles southwest of Birmingham's city center, is available to rent for private birthday parties. A rollerskating party may seem childish at first, but zooming around a rink to music with up to 50 friends can be a lot of fun. The cost is $225 plus tax to rent the arena for 2 hours. Skate rental, admission, soft drinks and paper products for up to 50 people are included in the rental fee, however, food and cake are not provided.

Pool Party at the Birmingham Swim League
You can't go wrong with a good old-fashioned pool party. The pool at the Birmingham Swim League pool can be reserved for $60 an hour, with a 2 hour minimum. One lifeguard per every 15 guests must be hired for the duration of the party at $20 per hour. Tables and chairs are available, but other items such as food, decorations, paper goods and favors are not provided.
