An Airsoft gun is a toy replica of the real thing.
An Airsoft gun is an exact replica of a real weapon that shoots plastic BB-size pellets powered by a spring or compressed air. The guns are used in Airsoft games in which players enact war-like scenarios, firing the pellets at each other. You can customize an Airsoft gun so its magazine can hold more pellets than the manufacturer intended. You need a few common tools, but no special skills or expertise. The custom-made magazine clip you make will work in the Airsoft gun just like it did before, but will not need to be reloaded as often.
Instructions
1. Remove the magazine clip from the bottom of the Airsoft gun's handle. Put the Airsoft gun aside.
2. Place the magazine clip on a table with the clear side facing up.
3. Remove the screws from the top left and right sides of the magazine clip with the Phillips-head jeweler’s screwdriver. Remove the screws from the bottom left and right sides of the magazine clip.
4. Pull the black plug out of the bottom assembly of the magazine clip with the tweezers. Put the black plug aside.
5. Pull the bottom assembly off the magazine clip with your fingers. Put the bottom assembly aside.
6. Insert the tip of the flat-edged jeweler’s screwdriver into the seam between the two shells of the magazine clip. Lift up on the tip of the screwdriver to separate the two shells. Pull the clear shell off the bottom shell. Put the clear shell aside.
7. Remove the two rods from inside of the bottom shell with your fingers. Dispose of them in the trash.
8. Cut off the plastic rail that is inside of the bottom shell next to where the two rods were, using the utility knife. Dispose of the plastic rail in the trash.
9. Sharpen the point of a pencil with a pencil sharpener. Cut the pencil in half with the blade of the utility knife.
10. Place the piece of pencil, sharpened end up, into the space formerly occupied by the two rods.
11. Put the clear shell back on the bottom shell. Put the bottom assembly back on the two shells. Reattach the black plug. Reattach the screws.
12. Insert BB pellets into the magazine clip in the normal fashion. Put the magazine clip back into the bottom of the handle of your now customized Airsoft gun.
