Wear protective gear when playing paintball.
The object of paintball is to retrieve the flag of your opponent and bring it back to your base camp without being "shot" by your opponents. The capsule used as ammunition in the paintball gun is made of gelatin and filled with water-soluble paint. There are a variety of colors to choose from, and properly filling your paintball gun with them is vital to your team's success.
Instructions
1. Learn the safety precautions for paintball before playing or preparing your equipment. Remember that the paintball is shot under pressure similar to a bullet and can cause serious injury when protective garments aren't worn or when shot at close range.
2. Put the paintball ammunition into the gun's cartridge. Feed the paintballs into the cartridge horizontally. Fill the cartridge to the top.
3. Hold the paintball gun in your shooting hand. Grip the pump on the gun with your other hand and pull it back as far as it will go, and then push it forward as far as it will go. This loads the paintball ammunition into the chamber of the gun, waiting for release. The back-and-forth motion required for dropping the ammunition in the chamber must be one fluid movement.
4. Adjust the velocity of the paintball ammunition with a flathead screwdriver. Make sure the chamber of the gun is empty of ammo and put the safety lock on. Use a flathead screwdriver to turn the screw clockwise to increase velocity. Turn the screw counterclockwise to decreases velocity.
