Free Military Puzzles & Game Ideas

Military games and puzzles can be a fun way to spend an afternoon, especially if you are interested in seeing what military tactics can be like. There are many different games you can play; some of them can be played outdoors or indoors. If you prefer to sit and do puzzles rather than play a military game, there is a fun and easy way to make puzzles out of any military picture you want.

Capture the Flag

Capture the flag can be an exciting game to play and can really make you feel like you are on the front lines. The object of capture the flag is pretty simple: capture your enemies flag and return it to your base without being "tagged." Setup is really simple--all you need are two objects to designate as flags and you can find a large open area like a park or in a forest to set up "bases." Make them as far apart as you want. There are rules you can add to the game like "once a person is tagged they are out for a certain period of time." There are also other variations you can make to the game, like using paintball guns or water balloons instead of tagging.

Craft Puzzles

Craft puzzles are simple puzzles that you can make yourself out of paper or cardboard or anything else. They are not traditional in the sense of "snapping together" like regular puzzles; but if you have a child who enjoys puzzles or if you want to have a "fastest" puzzle contest, then this might be a fun thing to do. To make a craft puzzle all you need is a "printer" and a pair of scissors. You can also use a photo or something that you already have--anything military related that you don't mind cutting up. Simply cut the photo into different shapes and sizes. Mix all of the pieces up and you have a puzzle that can be put back together. You can find many different military pictures online to print out to make puzzles out of.

Last Man Standing

Last Man Standing is a fun game you can set up in a variety of different ways and can help you feel like you are "battling in the military." The object of last man standing is to have two teams, armed with anything from paintball guns, to water balloons, or anything else that you wish to play with (remember to be safe when playing and do not use anything that could cause injury). Pick a place to play like a large field or a forest and set boundaries as well as two starting positions, one for each team. Try to "tag" your opponent with whatever you are using. Once they are tagged they must sit out and wait until everyone on their team is tagged out. Once an entire team is eliminated, the other team gets a point. You can play to as many points as you want.
