Pocono Mountains Event Planning

Enjoy skiing in winter.

The Pocono Mountains are one of the most popular outdoor vacation spots in the Northeast. They are located in the northeastern corner of Pennsylvania, covering more than 2,400 square miles. The Poconos offer four seasons' worth of fun, including endless outdoor activities in the spring and summer months, cabins retreats and trail blazing during the fall, and skiing in the winter. Some prior event planning will ensure that visitors get the most from their Pocono Mountain experience.

Plan a Family Vacation

The Pocono Mountains are the perfect place for a family vacation offering NASCAR racing, mountain biking, paintball, water parks, wild animal parks and much more. With so much to do, start planning a family vacation early to maximize the experience. First, decide how many days you will be spending in the Pocono Mountains. A week is recommended. Next, decide the activities that you and your family want to participate in and then make a tentative schedule. Be sure to leave room for free time to relax and bond with one another.

Plan a Wedding

If you're planning a wedding in the Pocono Mountains, there are a few details to be considered. The bride and groom must be 18 years of age or older. The application for the marriage license can be found through the office of Clerk of Orphans' Court at any Pennsylvania courthouse, and must be completed in person. It takes a maximum of three business days for the license to come available. The officiate must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. There are a plethora of wedding locations like the Brookview Manor Inn in Canadensis, The French Manor in Sterling and The Mountaintop Lodge in Pocono Pines. The best time of year for an outdoor wedding in the Pocono Mountains is between May and October.

Plan a Couple's Retreat

The Pocono Mountains are a convenient option for many couples who are looking to steal away from the daily grind of life. The Poconos are renowned for their romantic bed and breakfasts that cater to couples. Other ideas for couples include indulging in indoor and outdoor spas, enjoying miles of nature trails and snuggling down in log cabins furnished with a hot tub, sauna and fireplaces.
