Things To Do In Mont Tremblant

The Mont Tremblant ski season begins in November.

Mont Tremblant, part of the province of Quebec, is situated in the Laurentian Mountains 80 miles north of Montreal. It is a resort village that attracts tourists from all over the world. The area offers hiking trails, mountain bike races and beach activities through the summer months. During the winter, Mont Tremblant boasts a myriad of outdoor snow activities such as skiing, horseback riding, dog sledding and ice climbing.

Summer Activities

The birds of prey show is a great way to experience trained falcons.

Mont Tremblant is the highest peak in the Laurentians. Experience a panoramic gondola ride during the summer, or hike through trails to the summit of the mountain to witness incredible views of the lake, pedestrian village and the surrounding areas.

The "Birds of Prey" show takes place on the summit and is a great way to experience trained falcons or to become an apprentice falconer. The "Under the Weather" exhibit at the summit offers tools to understand the weather phenomena through an exhibit that zeroes in on the climate and how it is evolving.

Through the summer months catch the Quebec and Canada mountain bike race, les rythmes Tremblant, which showcases musicians in concert and the Tremblant international blues festival. Mini-golf, the adventurers club for children, tennis club and beach activities are also available.

Winter Activities

Enjoy a dog sledding excursion through forest, mountain or valley trails.

Mont Tremblant opens the downhill ski and snowboard trails each winter in November. There are 14 state-of-the-art lifts, as well as 18 ramps, rails and jumps. Mont Tremblant boasts 19 novice runs, 30 intermediate runs and miles of expert terrain.

Winter activities also include snowshoeing, guided nature tours, ice fishing, ice skating, cross-country skiing and ice climbing. Horseback riding through the snow and dog sledding excursions through forest, mountain or valley trails are also available. Experience sleigh rides, tubing, snowmobiling and paintball or visit the spas and Scandinavian baths apres ski.

Indoor Activities

Mont Tremblant has a variety of indoor activities. The aqua club offers indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs and a fully equipped fitness center. The kid's club is a daycare center with many physical and social activities to suit all children.

Dining

Mont Tremblant has dining options to satisfy various tastes and health choices. Before skiing or during a ski break choose from among four cafeterias for a satisfying and cost efficient meal. Those with lighter appetites can eat at the bistros, while those who prefer more traditional meals can dine on grilled foods and fondue at the ski restaurants.
