Fresno Summer Camps For Kids

Summer fun can extend to an afternoon at the park.

Summer fun is a time for making memories, new friends and experiences. Kids are out of school for weeks at a time, so parents can use the summer break to blend supplementary education with entertainment and provide their children with lasting impressions. Fresno hosts non-traditional summer camps that offer parents options for making sure their children are stimulated.

KidsPark

For parents who are looking for a classic summer camp environment with a twist, the KidsPark center features year-round day care for both pre-school and school-age youngsters. KidsPark creates special activities built around a specialty theme for its camps. Crafts and treats are all based around the specific theme. This facility takes an innovative approach to blending creativity and daycare by sectioning off the space in "areas." From the Activity Area, where kids can let their independence and imagination run wild, to the Sports Court, where they can literally "run" wild playing games such as catch and four-square, there is a variety of options for kids to enjoy.

Kids are able to learn prepare and cook foods based on pre-selected themes such as "Summer Treats to Beat the Heat." Young chefs-in-training can extend their experience and join the Chefs Club to receive discounts on birthday parties and special events as well as attend classes weekly.

Fresno Chaffee Zoo

For kids who are wild about animals, a summer trip to the Fresno Chaffee Zoo is optimal. The zoo has a program menu for campers as young as 18 months and extends to young adults up to 17. This camp also offers themed-based week-long programs all with animal education and exploration in mind. Older camp attendees can take advantage of zookeeper matching, where they have the opportunity to visit select animals on site. From tortoises to exotic birds, there are a host of animals that can be researched and explored at the zoo for kids of all ages and interests.
