Hidden Valley Resort is located among the Laurel Mountains in southwest Pennsylvania. The resort offers season passes for skiers and snow boarders; as of 2010, an adult full-season pass cost just under $350. There are a total of 26 ski slopes and trails at Hidden Valley Resort that range in difficulty from novice to double diamond. In the summer months, the resort offers mountain biking trails and four-seat paddle boat rentals on Lake George. Several area attractions are ideal for families, including Living Treasures Animal Park and Caddie Shak Family Fun Park.

Camelback Mountain Resort
Camelback Mountain Resort is located in the Poconos region of eastern Pennsylvania. The resort is home to more than 30 ski trails, most of which are designed for novice skiers. Beginner, intermediate and advanced skiers will all find trails for their skill levels. All trails are lit to allow for night skiing. Lessons for both adult and children skiers are offered at the resort, and there is a snowboarding lesson program in place for adults and children as young as 3 years old. Snowtubing at Camelback Mountain Resort allows riders to chain up to five tubes together for the trip down the mountain.

Ski Sawmill Family Resort
Ski Sawmill Family Resort is located in the northern region of central Pennsylvania. The resort has 13 trails and a tubing area, as well as three lifts to accommodate skiers. Tubers can use the tube tow lift to get back up the mountain. Private and group ski lessons are offered at the resort; as of 2010, private lessons were $40 per hour and group lessons started at $20. In the summer, groups of 10 more more can arrange canoe trips and rental of paintball equipment and mountain bikes. Ski Sawmill Family Resort offers multiple lodging options, two of which are appropriate for families: the chalet cabins and the mountain inn.
