Paintball Fight Games

The sport of paintball makes for an exciting video game concept.

A game that is played in real life with marble-sized paintballs fired from guns, the whole idea of the sport of paintball is one that lends itself well to today's world of video gaming. Some of the top manufacturers in the industry have attempted to capitalize on fans of the sport by creating video games that allow gamers to get a feel for the sport without even having to leave their living room -- but some of these games have been more well-received than others.

NPPL Championship Paintball 2009

Based on the sport's league of the same name, NPPL Championship Paintball 2009 was released on November 18, 2008 for the Sony PlayStation 2, Sony PlayStation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii. Up to 14 players can compete online in NPPL Championship Paintball 2009, giving video gamers the opportunity to experience heated paintball match-ups from the comfort and safety of their own living room. Over 35 separate paintball tournaments are featured in NPPL Championship Paintball 2009, meaning players get the chance to work their way up through the ranks. NPPL Championship Paintball 2009 was developed by Activision and has been rated "Everyone 10+" by the Electronic Software Rating Board.

Greg Hastings' Tournament Paintball Max'd

Greg Hastings' Tournament Paintball Max'd is available for the Sony PlayStation 2, Microsoft Xbox, Nintendo DS and Nintendo Gameboy Advance. Released throughout 2005 and 2006, this is a team-oriented shooter that accommodates one to four players on the same console or up to ten different players online. Developed and published by Activision Value, Greg Hastings' Tournament Paintball Max'd has been rated "Everyone 10+" by the Electronic Software Rating Board.

World Championship Paintball

World Championship Paintball is a Sony PlayStation 2 exclusive title. It was developed by THQ and Coresoft and was released on January 7, 2008. Graphically, the game is very colorful, although the geometry seen within the game is really quite simple and not very eye-catching. World Championship Paintball has been rated "Everyone 10+" by the Electronic Software Rating Board.

Splat Renegade Paintball

Splat Renegade Paintball was released on October 11, 2005 and is available for both the PC and the Microsoft Xbox. It includes support for one or two players in offline play and up to 14 players in online play, which can make for some pretty intense paintball fights. Online game play modes include competitive, cooperative, and team-based. Splat Renegade Paintball was developed by Take Two Interactive and Cat Daddy Games, and was given a rating of "T for Teen" by the Electronic Software Rating Board.
