Make A Simple Paintball Gun

The sport of paintball may be played in many arenas, on different kinds of fields and with all kinds of expensive equipment. But there's a way to make a simple paintball gun you may use around your home to practice or just have fun with.

Instructions

1. Get some ?-inch PVC pipe in Schedule 40. (Schedule 40 refers to the thickness of the PVC walls of the pipe.) Cut a barrel about 12 inches long out of your piece of PVC pipe. Clean the inner and outer sections of each end so that there are no burrs. Now, take a threaded connector that has a glue fitting on one end and glue it to one end of your barrel.

2. Buy a threaded gas on-and-off valve with a handle. Put pipe dope on the threaded end of the barrel and screw it into one end of the gas cut-off valve. Take another threaded connector that has a glue end and screw the threaded end into the other end of the gas cut-off valve. Cut a piece of PVC pipe about 4 inches long and glue it into the fitting.

3. Purchase a glue-threaded female cap and glue it onto the 4-inch end. This is where you connect your air valve. Screw your air valve into the female end. Put pipe dope on the threaded end of the air valve to prevent air leakage when you make a simple paintball gun.

4. Charge your gun with air after you finish making a simple paintball gun. Put about 40 lbs. of air in your paintball gun. Slide a paintball down into the end of the barrel and turn the handle on your gas valve to the "on" position to discharge the paintball.
