Disassemble The Hpa Regulator In A Crossfire

The HPA regulator is located directly in front of the CO2 tank.

The HPA regulator is the part of a paintball gun which releases a precisely measured burst of propellant when you pull the trigger. In the Crossfire paintball gun, it is located between the CO2 tank and the firing chamber of the gun. The HPA regulator can be removed from the tank and disassembled using a few common tools.

Instructions

1. Purge the tank of all pressure by pressing the flat end of a nail into the pin of the outlet valve until gas stops escaping.

2. Heat the collar which connects the HPA regulator to the tank using a heat gun or hairdryer. This will melt the thread-locking compound which holds the regulator and tank together. Wrap a piece of rubber around the valve and twist it off using vice grips.

3. Boil a small pot of water. As soon as it starts to boil, remove it from heat. Hold the HPA regulator in the hot water for two to three minutes.

4. Wrap a piece of rubber around the hex assembly at one end of the regulator and clap it firmly in a bench vice. Wrap a second piece of rubber around the top half of the regulator. Twist the two halves apart using vice grips.

5. Pull the two halves apart carefully, and empty the components out onto a clear work space.
