Sports Trade Associations

Sports trade associations promote ways to market the sport.

Businesses operating in specific sports create and fund sports trade associations. These organizations participate in public relation activities on behalf of the activity they represents. The main focus of these associations has always been standardization, according to the Paintball Sports Trade Association. Most also host conferences and networking events. Directed by elected officers and governed by bylaws, several are non-profit organizations.
