The Spyder Pilot is used for paintball sports.
The Spyder Pilot ACS is a semi-automatic paintball gun, also known as a paintball marker. ACS refers to the Anti-Crop System the gun comes equipped with. You may need to remove the main bolt in the Spyder Pilot for regular maintenance, cleaning or repairs. It is always a good idea to become familiar with the structure and parts of this device before you attempt to take it apart or remove any pieces.
Instructions
1. Remove the air tank from your Spyder Pilot before starting this procedure.
2. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the feedneck on your Spyder by unscrewing the two screws that hold it in place in a counterclockwise direction. Put these screws in a safe place, such as your pocket.
3. Hold the paintball gun by the handle and locate the silver top cocking knob that sticks out the top of the gun. Pull this knob out and put it to the side.
4. Grab the silver quick release pin on the left side of the air gun and pull it out. This pin holds the rear cocking bolt in place.
5. Loosen the lock screw on the end of this bolt in a counterclockwise direction to make it a bit easier to pull out.
6. Pull the rear cocking bolt on the rear of your Spyder all the way back. You may have to pull pretty hard to accomplish this step because there is ball bearing inside the gun that puts pressure on the spring inside. Once you have released this bolt, the pieces in this section of the gun can be separated.
7. Continue with the cleaning, repairing or maintenance of your Spyder.
