Summer Programs For Kids In Arizona

Camp Shane has horseback riding for kids.

Arizona's summer programs have a large range of activities that appeal to kids. The Raising Arizona Kids magazine says that summer camps help kids develop social skills and stay active. Many camps are co-ed and promote physical activities, but they also have activities like board games for kids. The best programs for kids depend on kids' interests, physical strengths and location.

Nike Baseball Camp

Kids who love baseball will enjoy the Nike Baseball Camp summer program. The camp is for kids ages ten to eighteen years old. Kids train at Embry--Riddle University and overnight campers stay in the dorms. No matter what the kids' skill levels are, kids get plenty of practice and guidance over the course of five days. Experienced coaches teach in classes of ten or less students. Kids are separated into different ability groups and learn about nutrition and college baseball. Both the overnight program and day program campers get a Nike shirt. All campers should bring proper equipment, including a bat and helmet.
