Tippmann Sniper Barrel Vs Tippmann Pathfinder Barrel

Extended barrels increase range and accuracy of paintball markers.

Tippmann Sports LLC is a major manufacturer of paintball markers and accessories. The company's 98 Custom marker is among the best-selling paintball guns on the market. The Tippmann A-5 and X7 are popular tactical and compact markers. Tippmann paintball markers are supplied with a stock 8 1/2-inch or 9 1/2-inch barrel. Shooting distance and accuracy may be increased by adding an aftermarket extended barrel such as the Tippmann Pathfinder or Sniper.

Length

Tippmann's Sniper barrel is available in 14-inch and 16-inch lengths. The Pathfinder is supplied in 14-inch length only.

Threads

The Pathfinder barrel is available in a single model threaded for compatibility with Tippmann A-5, X7 and other brands of markers. It is not compatible with the Tippmann 98 Custom marker. The Tippmann Sniper barrel is available in two models for compatibility with both the A-5 and X7 and the 98 Custom marker.

Construction

The Pathfinder and Sniper barrel are one-piece construction and milled from from 1-inch aluminum barrel stock. Both barrels are honed and polished.

Enhancements

The Tippmann Pathfinder is a standard closed-muzzle barrel with no venting. Sniper models feature a large multihole muzzle break to vent propellant gas, increasing accuracy and decreasing noise.
