Build An Airsoft Minigun

An "airsoft" weapon refers to any homemade weapon that fires a projectile and resembles the imitation weapons first created by the Japanese in the 1980s. You can make your own airsoft-type minigun from a few items commonly found around the house. No mechanical expertise or gunpowder is needed. You will have to purchase a projectile to shoot from a hobby or toy store.

Instructions

1. Hold the plastic disposable pen by the back end in one hand. Hold the pliers in the other hand.

2. Clamp the jaws of the pliers around the barrel point at the front end of the pen. Pull the barrel point off the front of the pen and throw it in the trash.

3. Hold the pen by the front end in one hand. Clamp the jaws of the pliers around the cap at the back end of the pen. Pull the cap off and throw it away.

4. Pull the plastic tube out of the front end of the pen and throw it away.

5. Hold the mechanical disposable pencil by the back end in one hand. Clamp the jaws of the pliers around the barrel point at the front end of the pencil. Pull off the barrel point and throw it in the trash.

6. Pull the plastic tube out of the front end of the pencil with your fingers. Remove the lead from the tube and throw it away.

7. Cut a slit in one end of the plastic tube with the utility knife. Insert an end of a rubber band into the slit. Apply a drop of bonding glue to the slit and let it set for an hour.

8. Insert the free end of the plastic tube into the back end of the plastic pen. Stretch the rubber band towards the front end of the pen. Place the loop of the rubber band over the front end of the pen.

9. Wrap a piece of duct tape around the rubber band at the front end of the pen to hold it in position.

10. Go outside in your backyard. Place a plastic pellet in the back end of the pen. Aim the end of the pen at a tree or rock.

11. Pull the plastic tube out of the front end of the pen with your fingers. Stop pulling when you can feel the tension of the rubber band. Release the plastic tube to fire the plastic pellet.
