Build A Pvc Paintball Gun

A paintball gun, also known as a "marker" gun, is designed to shoot a projectile that splatters paint upon hitting its target. You can make your own paintball gun--using PVC pipes and a few hardware and car repair parts--that will rival those made commercially. You also will need some experience in cutting PVC pipes, which means adult supervision for children. Once assembled, no target will be safe from your PVC paintball gun.

Instructions

1. Put newspaper down on a work surface. Mark the two PVC pipe Ts "A" and "B" with the black marker pen. Mark the two straight ends of the "A" PVC pipe T as "Ax" and "Ay." Mark the perpendicular end of the "A" PVC pipe T as Az."

2. Repeat this procedure with the other ("B") PVC pipe T, marking the two straight ends "Bx" and "By" and the perpendicular end "Bz."

3. Cut two foot-long pieces from the six-foot-long PVC pipe, using the plumber's saw.

4. Wrap plumber's tape around the ends of the two foot-long pieces of PVC pipe that were just cut.

5. Put one of the foot-long pieces of PVC pipe down on the newspaper horizontally.

6. Attach a PVC pipe elbow onto one end of one of the foot-long pieces of PVC pipe. Put the other PVC pipe elbow onto the other end of the foot-long piece of PVC pipe.

7. Twist the PVC pipe elbows so that they are both pointing downward. Apply primer around the seam of the PVC pipe elbows. Let the primer set for about four minutes. Apply bonding glue around the seam of the PVC pipe elbows. Let the bonding glue set for three hours.

8. Place the other foot-long piece of PVC pipe down on the newspaper horizontally. Attach the "Az" end of the "A" PVC pipe T to one end of the foot-long PVC pipe. Attach the "Bx" end of the PVC pipe T to the other end of the foot-long PVC pipe.

9. Rotate the two PVC pipe Ts so that the form a box-like shape. Apply primer around the seams of the PVC pipe tees. Let the primer set for four minutes. Apply bonding glue around the seams of the PVC pipe Ts. Let the bonding glue set for three hours.

10. Attach a PVC pipe nipple to the "B" PVC pipe T's "By" end. Apply bonding glue around the PVC pipe nipple where it meets the "By" end. Let the bonding glue set for three hours.

11. Screw the PVC pipe ball valve onto the PVC pipe nipple.

12. Screw the PVC pipe barrel to the PVC pipe ball valve.

13. Drill a hole in the PVC end cap with the portable drill by enough to let the tire replacement valve be inserted into it.

14. Insert the tire replacement valve into the hole in the PVC end cap. Apply bonding glue around the tire replacement valve where it meets the PVC end cap. Let the bonding glue set for three hours.

15. Cut a nine-inch length off of the six-foot PVC pipe with the plumber's saw. Attach one end of the nine-inch length of PVC pipe to the "Ay" end of the "A" PVC pipe T. Apply bonding glue around the nine-inch length of PVC pipe where it meets the "A" PVC pipe T. Let the bonding glue set for three hours.

16. Attach the PVC end cap onto the free end of the nine-inch length of PVC pipe. Apply bonding glue around the PVC end cap to secure it to the PVC pipe.

17.Leave the PVC paintball gun you have just made on the newspaper overnight so that the bonding glue can set completely.
