Rod And Gun Clubs Near Syracuse New York

Rod and gun clubs give gun owners a chance to practice their skills.

The greater Syracuse and Central New York region gives hunters and sportsmen many opportunities to practice their skills. Some require membership in the National Rifle Association; some offer gun safety programs. Rod and gun clubs provide a safe environment for firearms practice, and you can find dozens in and around Syracuse.

Liverpool Rod and Gun Club

The Liverpool Rod and Gun Club is centrally located among the towns between Syracuse and Oneida Lake. Active participation in the club is a must; membership requires you to attend at least three club meetings per year in addition to member fees (as of 2010) of $115 for the first year, and $80 afterwards. Club facilities include ranges for both pistols and rifles. You must be a member or accompany a member to use the ranges (up to three guests per member at a time). However, the club also offers winter rifle, rimfire rifle and IR 50-50 leagues for members and nonmembers alike. To join, attend the next monthly meeting; excluding December, it's always on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m.
