Faribault, MN offers memorable camping experiences
Faribault offers a mix of activities for campers. Visitors can take a hike at Riverbend Nature Center, ski or ride a horse down the Sakatah Singing Hills Trail and paddle or fish on the many area lakes. There are three golf courses, a BMX track and a paintball facility in town. Faribault also hosts the Faribault Area Airfest and Balloon Rally and the Tree Frog Music Festival. Nerstrand State Park and Sakatah Lake State Park are a short drive away.

Roberds Lake Resort and Campground guests can do all of the usual lake and campground activities, but the facility offers several features targeted to anglers. Fishing boat and pontoon rentals are available and a fish-cleaning house is on-site. The campground owners also provide lake maps and fishing tips.
Guests can find firewood, groceries, a breakfast and lunch counter, snacks and souvenirs at the lodge. The campground has 49 RV sites with electric, water, sewer and cable TV hookups. Eleven sites offer just electric and water hookups. Eleven furnished cabins area available for rent. There are no designated tent sites. Daily, weekly, monthly and seasonal rates are available. Pets are allowed in the camping area only.

Camp Faribo Campground and Seasonal RV Park has daily activities and special theme nights, including movie night and sundaes on Sundays. Visitors can enjoy an outdoor pool, game room, and basketball and volleyball courts. Visitors can also rent bikes or kayaks for use on the 10 lakes within a 15-minute drive. The campground has 71 campsites for either tents or RVs. Most sites have electric, water and sewer. Guests will find hot showers, restrooms, a laundromat and an RV dump station. Other on-site services include groceries, snacks, firewood, propane and RV supplies.

Winjum's Shady Acres Resort and Campground
Winjum's Shady Acres Resort and Campground caters to those who don't always want to rough it. A bar/restaurant with a full menu is on-site for when visitors have had too many campfire hot dogs. The campground is located on Roberds Lake, and pontoon and fishing boats are available for rent. The resort has eight docks for boats and fishing. RV sites include electric, water and sewer. Tent camping is permitted adjacent to the RV sites. There are no separate facilities. Furnished cabins are also available. Toilet and shower facilities are available. Pets are allowed for an extra fee. The campground also offers firewood, propane, gas, beer, ice and other supplies.
