Paintball guns that fire automatically rely on a tank of compressed air to power the firing mechanism. You can make your own air compressor fill station by adapting a scuba tank purchased from a sports supply or fishing store. You will also need a few other supplies from the sports supply or fishing store as well as some items commonly found around the house. No extensive mechanical skills are required, but adult supervision is necessary if you are underage since silicone paste will be used when making your air compressor fill station.
Instructions
1. Stand the scuba tank on a work surface. Loosen the screw on the side of the Paintball valve adaptor with the Phillips screwdriver.
2. Slide the end of the Paintball valve adaptor closest to the screw over the end of the scuba tank's nozzle. Tighten the screw on the side of the Paintball valve adaptor with the Phillips screwdriver.
3. Apply silicone paste around the end of the Paintball valve adaptor where it covers the nozzle of the scuba tank. Let the silicone paste set for an hour.
4. Turn the valve on the scuba tank clockwise. Listen for any air escaping from the scuba tank's nozzle. Apply more silicone paste if any air is heard after turning off the air by turning the valve on the scuba tank.
5. Push the nipple of the Paintball fill tank against the nozzle at the end of the Paintball valve adapter. Slowly turn the valve on the scuba tank that is now a Paintball air compressor fill station two or three times clockwise.
6. Wait until the hissing at the end of the Paintball fill tank ceases to indicate that it is filled.
7. Turn the valve of your Paintball air compressor fill station counterclockwise until it can't be turned anymore.
8. Slowly remove the Paintball fill tank from the nozzle at the end of the Paintball valve adaptor. The Paintball fill tank is now fully charged and ready for action.
