Detroit Pistons Training Camp Tour
The Detroit Pistons NBA basketball team offers youth an opportunity to enhance their basketball skills alongside professionals. According to the camp's website, children in grades 1 to 11 are able to participate in the four-day event, which will help them with their ball-handling and defense skills, among others. The tour will stop at a variety of cities in Michigan in 2010, including Brighton, Cheboygan and Plymouth.

St. Thomas A'Becket Vacation Bible School
St. Thomas A'Becket, a Catholic Church in Canton, Michigan, will have a rainforest-themed vacation bible school the summer of 2010, which will explore one parable each day. SonQuest Rainforest offers children adventures as well as an opportunity to live out the teachings of Jesus. The school also give children the opportunity to create crafts, sing songs and play games. It is available to children in pre-kindergarten to fifth grade.
