The National Hockey League's Minnesota Wild has seen their fair share of success both on and off the ice since the organization's inception as an expansion team in 2000. Officially licensed Wild hockey jerseys are popular attire not only in the arena on game day but out in the community as well. Fans that purchase or are planning on purchasing a jersey in home, away or third-jersey colors may want to have it customized with a personalized name and number.
Instructions
1. Log onto Wild.NHL.com, the team's official website, if you're planning on purchasing your jersey online; this allows you to make your purchase directly from the team's official NHL store. Alternately, purchase your jersey in person at many sporting goods retailers. Scroll to the bottom of the Wild's page and click on the link "Shop.NHL.com"; for other online retailers, scroll through their selection to find Wild jerseys. Clicking on the Wild's page opens a new window that displays the team's jersey styles.
2. Browse through the selection and find the style that appeals to you; realize the jerseys are offered in Replica and Authentic, each with varying price tags. Click on the jersey you like. Select which size you prefer from the appropriate drop-down box. You'll then be prompted to customize the jersey by clicking on the "Customize It" step.
3. Type in your desired name and number into the provided fields; take note that you can't customize your jersey with the names of retired players or players that don't currently play for the Wild. Type in your desired number in the field; alternately, select the name and number of current players from the "Pro" drop-down box and select if you'd like the "C" or "A" applied to the jersey to indicate captaincy.
4. Click "Review & Purchase" to finish the transaction by providing your credit card info and mailing address details. Other forms of payment may also be accepted. Realize the customization process may take a few weeks to complete; generally, most fans receive their orders within 4 to 6 weeks. Be advised: As of 2011 a $55 fee is applied to the jersey's price.
