Ground effects or body kits help to alter the exterior of your 2006 Saturn Ion, whether you have a two- or four-door model. Razzi makes two kits for the 2006 Saturn Ion. The first ground effects kit fits four-door versions of the Ion and offers a subtle lowered effect as well as styling. The 135-200 kit comes with front and rear bumpers and side skirts. The second kit fits two door versions of the 2006 Ion and is called the 132-100. The kit also comes with front and rear bumpers as well as side skirts, but with more aggressive styling such as angular cutouts in the bumpers as well as a lower look overall. Both kits feature parts made of Razzi's ABS composite plastic material.

Extreme Dimensions
If you are looking for a sportier look for your Ion, Extreme Dimensions makes a Racer ground effects kit for two-door models made between 2003 and 2007. The kit comes with front and rear lips to replace the car's stock bumpers, as well as side skirts. Extreme Dimensions makes all of the parts from a combination of resins, fiberglass and plastic the company calls Duraflex. The kit comes with metal mesh to put in the front lip's opening to prevent road debris from hitting the radiator, as well as a hardware-mounting kit and instructions.

RKSport
RKSport makes an eight-piece ground effects kit for the 2006 Saturn Ion. The kit includes new front and rear bumpers for the Ion, as well as a hood with a functioning air scoop, side skirts and a three-piece rear wing. All of the kit's parts are made of hand-laid fiberglass. The kit also provides a large metal screen that is trimmed to fit in the large opening on the kit's front bumper. According to RKSport, the kit gives the Ion a rally racer look.
