Whip our your scrunchies and spandex, it's time for a reunion. Hearken back to your high school heyday with fun -- and sometimes competitive -- reunion games and activities. They will help break the ice with the people you haven't seen in more than 20 years, whether it was your longtime crush, your middle school bully or the enemy cheerleader. By the end of the night, you'll be able to forget your differences and have a good time reconnecting.
Trivia Contest
Compile your trivia questions from your favorite pop culture references and quiz your classmates. You'll need a charismatic host and score sheets for everyone to write down their answers. Include albums and song titles from your favorite artists -- Bon Jovi, Bonnie Tyler, Pat Benatar, Cindi Lauper, Madonna, Ozzie, Joan Jett, Journey, David Bowie, Metallica, Queen, Van Halen. Add fun facts about 1980s television shows and movies, the birth of MTV, events of the Ronald Reagan era, and hairdos and fashion trends. Try to avoid asking questions about dates -- no one wants to remember his age at a reunion.
Movie Game
Play a movie that your friends loved in high school. This works best if there's another room or nook off the main party area. Think about classics like "The Breakfast Club," "Say Anything," "Sixteen Candles," "Pretty in Pink," Ferris Bueller's Day Off" and "Who's the Boss?" After viewing the movie, pass out a questionnaire about minor details and glitches in the film and the lives of the actors. Encourage competition.
Disco Dancing Contest
Relive the fun of the prom with a dance contest to your favorite disco oldies. Go over the rules beforehand -- just like in high school -- so the dancers know what they're being judged on. Ideally, the prom king and queen will judge. Think about an appropriate prize for the person or couple with the best moves. For instance, try to get tickets to the touring 1980s jukebox musical "Rock of Ages."
Baby Picture Match-up
Compile photographs from your classmates. Ask everyone for a baby picture and a photo from high school. (A yearbook photo is fair game.) The more teased hair and shoulder pads, the better. Number each photo and post all the baby pictures together and all of the high school pictures together on large separate posters. Hand out paper for everyone to match up who's who.
