New Jersey has plenty of restaurants that make mealtime fun for kids.
The Census Bureau estimates that in 2008 roughly 25 percent of New Jersey's population was under the age of 18. The Jersey shore offers plenty of fun activities for the entire family, but kid-friendly venues are not limited to the shoreline. CB Huntington Railroad Restaurant
CB Huntington is located in the family entertainment center, Blackbeard's Cave, which offers paintball, jousting, batting cages, a driving range, go-karts, archery, a kiddie park and video game arcade. The restaurant's lively and fun interior follows a train theme with colorful pictures and large murals. Weekly entertainment specials include local bands and mystery murder shows.
The menu offers an assortment of appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers, pizzas, fajitas, quesadillas and sides as well as beef, pasta, poultry and seafood entrees. Adults enjoy the prime rib, shrimp scampi and chicken marsala, while young ones prefer a grilled cheese sandwich, mozzarella sticks or chicken fingers from the kids' menu. An all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet is available on Sundays.

Duffer's Restaurant
Duffer's has a prime location in Wildwood just three blocks from the beach and within walking distance of the Wildwoods Convention Center. An 18-hole miniature golf course is lighted for evening play and features a princess castle and larger-than-life shipwreck. A large arcade is featured indoors where kids collect tickets to win a variety of prizes. Kids are kept entertained even during the meal with an electric train that runs through the dining room and a colorful player piano.
Duffer's offers an extensive menu featuring fresh seafood, steaks, ribs, chicken, burgers, sandwiches and wraps. Children generally speed through their meal selected from the kids' menu so that they can enjoy a sundae, banana split or ice cream cone from the old-fashioned ice cream parlor.

Medieval Times
Medieval Times offers a prix fixe kid-friendly dinner show with plenty of knights, horses and jousts. Guests are seated stadium-style around the large arena where intricate choreography is carried out by both horses and knights. The venue is authentic in most every detail from drawbridges to stone castle walls.
A costume-garbed waitstaff serve the meal, which consists of soup, potatoes and chicken, ribs or a Portobello mushroom and a dessert. The kids enjoy eating with their hands, as no utensils are offered, while cheering for their favorite knight. After the show, many of the characters come out to the lobby, offering plenty of picture-taking opportunities.
