PMI's Black Maxx is a low-priced paintball pistol sold from 2000 to 2005. The Black Maxx became popular as an affordable entry-level marker; it brought many beginners into the sport. It is made almost entirely of lightweight polymer plastics with a black, nonglare finish. The barrel length is 9 inches and the marker uses standard 20-oz. CO2, nitrogen or compressed-air tanks as propellant. The manufacturer recommends regular cleaning of the Black Maxx and provides a takedown procedure to disassemble the marker.
Instructions
1. Remove the propellant tank and remove all paintballs from the marker. Insert the barrel plug in the barrel and keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction.
2. Rotate the elliptical switch on the rear of the grip frame 180 degrees to unlock the grip frame.
3. Separate the grip frame from the rear of the marker body and pivot the grip frame downward on its hinge to open up the marker.
4. Pull the cocking knob all the way back and slide the bolt/hammer assembly out the rear of the gun.
5. Unscrew the barrel in a counterclockwise direction and remove it from the marker.
