You can make your own body armor and shield out of craft materials.
If you are interested in making a knight costume for Halloween, a class play or a role-playing game, it can be challenging to make the costume look authentic with basic household materials. One solution is to make body chainmail armor out of soda-can tabs and a shield that appears to be constructed out of metal.
Instructions
1. Lay 40 soda-can tabs side by side on a flat surface.
2. Thread a needle, and stitch the soda tabs together by sewing through the holes.
3. Lay a second row of 40 soda-can tabs side by side above the first row.
4. Sew the second row of tabs together by stitching through the holes.
5. Sew the first row to the second row.
6. Repeat these steps until you have 30 rows of 40 tabs. This will create the front of the chainmail body armor.
7. Repeat the entire process to create the back of the chainmail body armor.
8. Lay the front of the body armor onto the back of the body armor.
9. Sew halfway up each side to create armholes.
10. Sew in 3 inches from each side along the top to create a head hole.
11. Cut out a 3-foot oval from cardboard.
12. Apply craft glue to one side of the oval.
13. Cover the glue with aluminum foil. Allow the glue to dry completely.
14. Use the eraser end of a pencil to draw designs into the foil.
15. Cut out a rectangle from cardboard measuring 3 inches high by 6 inches long.
16. Hot-glue the short ends of the rectangle to the back of the shield. These will be the handles.
17.Allow the hot glue to cool completely before using the shield.

"Delta Force: Land Warrior" is the third game in the "Delta Force" first-person shooter franchise for PCs. Unlike most games in this genre, "Land Warrior" requires tactical skills, as rushing into a mission will lead to certain failure. How you choose your weapon and equipment load-out before each mission will dictate how the mission plays out. Squad members join you on some missions, giving you the option to issue orders to them.
Character Selection
"Delta Force: Land Warrior" has five different characters for you to pick from, and you can reselect them before each mission. Read the mission briefings carefully and study the maps displayed during the briefings. Pick a character whose strengths will be able to help you out during the mission in question. For example, if the mission calls for the assassination of a certain enemy, pick Sergeant Daniel Lonetree. He is the best sniper in the group and will go for a long-range kill.
Using the Terrain
Realism comes into play with this game, as it only takes a few shots to kill your character. Study the mission maps and use the terrain to your advantage. Never approach an enemy encampment across an open plain, as your enemies will spot you from miles away. Instead, make use of whatever cover you can find and scan the area thoroughly before making a move. Use the crouch command to keep a low profile when no cover is available.
Equipment Selection
Take the right tools for the job when you choose your equipment before each mission. If the mission calls for you to stealthily eliminate a target, leave the grenades and machine guns; instead, take a sniper rifle or other silenced weapon. If you find that you made a bad weapon selection, save your game and return to the mission menu. Click your saved game, and then select new equipment. You will continue from where you last saved with the new equipment available. This also has the added bonus of refilling all your ammunition.
Cheat Console
Press the tilde key (left of the "1" key on the keyboard and underneath the "Esc" key) to open the cheat console. Only use this as a last resort when you are really struggling with the game, as it will remove the challenge of the game. Type "kariya" and press "ENTER" to receive unlimited ammunition for all your weapons. Type "roy" to make your character invincible when you need to get out of a tight spot.

If you ever wished that you could see as clearly at night as during the day, then your wish has finally come true. Thermal goggles are the answer to seeing clearly no matter what the visibility around you may be. If you are considering thermal goggles for recreational or job-related use, then be sure that you understand how and why the technology works so that you can purchase the pair best suited to your needs.
Function
Thermal goggles use the relative heat of the objects around you to show you clear outlines of the terrain--both living and non-living--in your immediate area. They can be adjusted to your preferences when it comes to colors and contrasts so that you have a perfectly clear view of the area around you whether it is daylight, foggy or black and pitch. Thermal goggles fit closely to your head so that your hands are both free at all times.
Features
Thermal goggles are somewhat bulky just because of the technology embedded in the device. However, they have thick, canvas or rubber straps to hold them in place, or can be attached to a helmet or other headpiece so that you can work with your hands entirely free. They fit securely around the eyes so that you are not distracted or confused by external factors.
Effects
When you are wearing thermal goggles, your vision will feel normal although all the colors will be off. However, some details will be missing because there may not be enough of a temperature differential for the goggles to distinguish them. For example, ground texture may be hard to see, although you should easily be able to see raised areas, rocks, and other potential tripping hazards.
Benefits
Thermal goggles have a big advantages over other limited visibility tools. They can be used under almost any conditions, and when there is absolutely no light. Also even if it is very bright outside, foggy or smoky or there are other weather conditions that would interfere with conventional night vision goggles, thermal vision goggles work the same way that they always do. Also, with thermal vision goggles it is very easy to detect the presence of living creatures even when they are lying perfectly still and are otherwise camouflaged because their body heat will give them away.
Types
Thermal goggles come in several models. The most common one is shaped like a pair of binoculars and fits over the eyes. However, there are also thermal cameras and other types of imaging devices that record what you are seeing as you see it. Thermal goggles also come in hand-held versions that can be placed in front of the eyes, then removed quickly and easily to get multiple perspectives.
Misconceptions
Many people think that thermal goggles are only to be used by law enforcement and military personnel. However, in reality anyone can use and enjoy thermal goggles. They can be ordered off the Internet or purchased in many hunting and outdoor equipment stores. They can be quite expensive, but the lower-quality sets can cost as little as $50 (see Resources below).
" is one of four maps that appear in the "Prestige" and "Hardened" editions of "Call of Duty: Black Ops." The enemies on this map are Nazi zombies who attack in relentless hordes. Vending machines where perks are available for purchase give players a better chance, but with a two-gun limit per player it is easy to be overrun by zombies. However, a glitch allows players to carry more than two guns on this map.
Instructions
1. Play until you have enough points to buy the extra weapon you want, as well as any perk.
2. Walk up to a "perk-a-cola" machine with a "bouncing betty" (the mine) in your character's hands. If your character has more than one "bouncing betty," put the other ones down elsewhere. If your character does not have any, one can be found on the left or right balcony of the map.
3. Place the "bouncing betty" on the ground in front of the vending machine and select the "buy" option as soon as the character's hands are not visible. The character will drink the perk and appear to be empty-handed.
4. Buy the new weapon that you want to use in addition to the two the character already has. Do not press the "change weapon" button before the new weapon has been bought or this trick won't work. Once you have your new weapon, it can be used until your character is killed, after which the trick must be repeated.

Fill helmet bowls with chips, cheese puffs, pretzels and popcorn for all day snacking satisfaction. Order pizza from local favorite Tony's Place. If the birthday boy wants to head out for the day, instead, take the group to the arcade at Inman's Recreation Center. The center also has party rooms and bowling, if the mood calls.

Whether you're a group of two or of two hundred, Airsoft offers participants a way to enjoy a fast-paced, exciting combat simulation game. While any number of variations are available, there are a number of highly popular game scenarios.
Game Basics
In any Airsoft game, whether played individually or in teams, the basics remain the same. If you are shot, or tagged, you are out. Being shot usually results in a player leaving the field of play for the duration of the round, though some games may change this.
Because there is no paint-splatter similar to paintball, all players are expected to truthfully report if and when they are hit. This honor system is part of the game, and cheaters are not tolerated for long.
Beyond these basic elements, an Airsoft game can take almost any form. With varying numbers of people, shuffling of teams and individuals, and changing game objectives, there is an infinite flexibility to Airsoft, and no list of game variations can ever be comprehensive.
MilSim
Many players and teams enjoy simulating military operations, called MilSim. With its emphasis on detailed gun replicas, Airsoft is perfectly suited to this practice, so any game variation might employ the use of military tactics, equipment and jargon. Any scenario that simulates military action can be considered MilSim.
Team Skirmishes
The most common Airsoft games are team skirmishes. Airsoft games might be played in large or small groups, and the use of teams is common. Very often, two teams will engage in a skirmish that has no defined objectives other than defeating the other team. The simplicity of these scenarios makes for highly flexible game play and many groups will never adopt further game types.
Free-for-All
Unlike team skirmishes, a Free-for-All match will usually be played without teams. Players are solo combatants, competing against everybody else. Game play is swift and chaotic as every player is out for himself. The last person still in the game wins.
Seek and Destroy
In the team-based game of Seek and Destroy, one team will hide or take a position far from the opposing team. After a designated amount of time, the second team will then begin searching for the first, taking out their players as they go. The hiding team will try to stay alive as long as possible. The last team with players on the field wins.
Capture the Flag
A popular game both in Airsoft and paintball, Capture the Flag is structured just like the childrens game, with two competing teams each trying to find and steal the opposing team's flag. In some variations of this game, when a player is tagged out, he can return to a designated base and re-enter play.
King of the Hill
A siege-based game, King of the Hill has one team defend a designated position, such as a hill or bunker, against the other team's attack. If the attacking team takes control of the hill, roles switch and the first team goes on the offensive.
Commando Raid
Another team-based game, Commando Raid pits two teams against each other, each with its own designated base. Between the two teams is a flag, which must be collected and deposited in the enemy base. This creates competition on two fronts, first to seize the flag, and then to attack or defend the base.
Hostage Rescue
Hostage Rescue is a stylized attack-and-defend game. One team defends a base in which it holds an unarmed "hostage." The opposing team's objective is to attack the base, retrieve the hostage, and exit the base successfully. In some variations the hostage is off limits as a target; in others, he is fair game.

Coin collecting is a hobby that anybody can enjoy. It's a rewarding feeling when you have bought a coin, especially if you have searched for that coin for years. Finding Morgan Silver Dollars is often a challenge but, with these easy tips, you'll be buying them in no time.
Instructions
1. Buy a coin book for the current year, which lists the value of a Morgan Silver Dollar. One of the best books for this is The Official Red Book, A Guide Book Of United States Coins 2009. It's a must have for anyone who wants to buy Morgan Silver Dollars or any other kind of coin. The price of a Morgan Silver Dollar varies due to it's fineness, how many were made, mint mark and the year. For example, a 1921 Morgan Silver Dollar that has a very fine value will cost you $28.00 on the other hand an uncirculated Silver Dollar of the same year will cost $75.00. These prices are from a 2007 coin book, so prices right now are higher.
2. Begin searching in places close to home. First asking the family's elders like parents, grandparents, uncles and aunts is a good idea. Most of the time they have old Morgan Silver Dollars saved somewhere. Make them a decent offer and more than likely they will sell their Morgan Silver Dollar coins.
3. Go to a pawnshop; it's another great place to find cheap Morgan Silver Dollars. Make a list of the Silver Dollars you would like to purchase before you go. Sometimes the Morgan Silver Dollars you are looking for are priced at a lower value because they have not been appraised properly. Always check the containers they have filled with silver dollars and other coins; it might be time-consuming to check them one at a time, but it's well worth it if you make that find.
4. Flea markets and swap meats are other places to find cheap Morgan Silver Dollars. Many coin collectors go to flea markets to sell their coins such as Morgan Silver Dollars. Some are more than willing to trade one of your coins for one of their coins. If you have two of the same Morgan Silver Dollar, a trade can be made for another Morgan silver Dollar of a different year. On the other hand, others just want to get rid of what they have so they 'll sell at a low price.
5. Looking through your newspaper classified ads can be a good source for finding many things, including Morgan Silver Dollars. If nobody is selling any at the time, place an ad saying that you are willing to pay for any silver dollars they are willing to part with.
6. Finally, on-line auctions such as eBay are great places to find Morgan Silver Dollars. Just place a bid on the silver dollar of your choice and wait. Always keep a close eye on the Silver Dollars you want to buy, most of the time the auction will last a few days. Placing your bid toward the end of the auction will ensure you a better chance of winning the coin at hand.

Military SWAT training is available to military police and special operations forces.
Military SWAT training takes many forms. Some of it depends on the branch of the military service in question, though all have SWAT-style teams in their military police forces. These teams receive general SWAT training applicable to the law enforcement role of the military. Specific SWAT training involves the special operations role of each military service, though. For example, Navy special warfare units have certain training needs. Army units, such Delta Force, have others.
Considerations
Because of mission and law enforcement needs, the military trains certain units in SWAT techniques.
All four military services have certain missions within the military's special operations structure or military police field, including SWAT-style operations. The Army role includes having a number of units dedicated to special operations. These include Rangers, Special Forces (Green Berets) and Delta Force. The Navy has units within its SEAL teams (SEAL Team Six, especially) dedicated to SWAT-type operations, in many cases. The Marines also have a special security forces regiment recapture tactics team (RTT).
Delta Force
Delta Force SWAT training includes stealthy infiltration tactics.
Formally known as the 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta (SFOD-D), Delta Force would almost seem to be totally dedicated to missions that use SWAT-style techniques. It's also one of the two primary units dedicated to counter-terrorism. Because of that, its training activities include a heavy dose of SWAT-specific courses. These include learning special methods of entry (MOE) to enter a room and then engage in close quarters battle against an enemy. It also involves learning stealth infiltration tactics.
SEAL Team Six
Navy SEAL SWAT training focuses on certain counter-terror techniques.
The Navy's Special Warfare Development Group (NSWDG, or DEVGRU) is more popularly known as SEAL Team Six. Along with the Army's Delta Force, SEAL Team Six is responsible for conducting counter-terrorism operations outside the country, though almost all SEAL teams contain counter-terrorism platoons. DEVGRU spends much more time and effort on its specific counter-terror missions than the other teams, though. SWAT-specific training includes special demolitions, protecting high-level personnel, sniper training and stealthy insertion and exfiltration activities.
Marine Corps Recapture Tactics Team (RTT)
Marine Corps SWAT training includes sniper skills instruction.
The Marine Recapture Tactics Team is also called the Security Force Close Quarters Battle (CQB) Team. It's totally dedicated to the SWAT mission, and its specific mission focus is on anti-terrorism rather than counter-terrorism activities. The RTT spends much time training its members in sniper skills, protecting personnel at high-risk of capture and in close quarters battle. It also has the mission of training other fleet Marine Force units in anti-terror techniques and processes.
Military Police SWAT Training
Military police forces also have special special reaction teams (SRTs) that receive SWAT training.
Outside of these special operations units, all four military services also have special reaction teams (SRTs) within each of their military police (MP) branches. They're the law enforcement counterpart to civilian police force SWAT teams. All of the services send their MP-type personnel to train at the Army's military police school at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. To receive this training, enlistment and education in a military service's law enforcement career field is required.

Body armor is a necessity for police and military personnel.
A military flak vest or body armor is considered part of the uniform for many police departments and for members of the military, like soldiers, sailors, marines and airmen. Non-police and non-military individuals may buy bulletproof vests for their own use.
Materials
At one time, bulletproof vests were almost exclusively made of Kevlar, a synthetic material, and often reinforced with ceramic or metal plates for greater protection. These vests were quite heavy. Many wearers valued vests according to their weight. Improved technology has allowed some lighter-weight materials such as Spectra to be used in bulletproof vests.
Testing
The National Institute of Justice inspects and tests body armor for effectiveness. Vests are rated for types and velocities of bullets and knives they will deflect or absorb. Some vests are compact, covering only the torso to the waist. Others provide more coverage, protecting the shoulders, neck, and groin. Additional products for arms and legs are available.
Price
Bulletproof vests have a limited lifespan of a few years if they are worn daily. However, used body armor in excellent condition is widely available and more affordable than new armor. New military-style vests sell for as much as $1,600, while other styles cost just a few hundred dollars. Used vests can be found for as little as $100.
If you don't know him, you should. Miss J. Alexander, known simply as "Miss J." is the lady-in-waiting for Tyra Banks, the host of "America's Next Top Model." When Miss J. isn't busy supporting Tyra's ego, he is the sassy and fierce runway coach for the wannabe supermodels on the show. Before his stint with Tyra, Miss J. coached Naomi Campbell, Kimora Lee and other big names in fashion.
Instructions
Rocking the Runway
1. Examine the runway on which you are about to walk. You do not want to imitate Jael's disastrous prolonged fall on "America's Next Top Model." Check for cracks, crevices, bumps, inclines and declines. Walk the route and look closely at the spot where you will make your turn.
2. Choose your shoes. Miss J. loved Elyse's look in Cycle 1 of ANTM, but chided her for not wearing heels. In the beginning, hit the sweet spot between comfort and style. Aim for a 2-inch heel, and make sure it's not the first time you have worn the shoes. The soles on new shoes are slippery, though you can scuff them up or put a little tape on the bottom.
3. Show attitude and exude inner strength. Miss J. advises, "When I look at a girl, I'm looking at her for body, for movement. She can be as ugly as the bottom of my shoe, but if she can walk, and have confidence, and look good, that's all that matters for this. You can turn that ugly into beauty." Keep your shoulders back and jut your pelvis forward.
4. Walk with force and energy. Miss J. says, "My motto is, walk like it's for sale and the rent is due tonight." Land on the ball of your foot and keep a straight line. When Miss J. watched the models in a runway challenge, he consistently reminded them, "When you walk, take the center."
5. Avoid looking down. The temptation is to check your path, but supermodels must maintain their forward-facing gaze. Take a tip from spinning ballerinas and focus on a single point. Just make sure that your focal point is not the crowd. Your body should lead and your head should follow.

ReadyBoost is a new feature of Windows Vista that makes it easy to increase your standard system memory with a simple flash drive. This eliminates the need to go out and spend a fortune on dedicated memory, which may not even be compatible with your motherboard, or simply may not be enough to fulfill your computer needs. ReadyBoost gives you the flexibility to choose the type of memory expansion you want depending on the type of removable component you use.
Instructions
Use ReadyBoost On Windows Vista
1. Start Windows Vista as you normally would. Administrative privileges are not required to use ReadyBoost.
2. Insert the removable memory option you've chosen to use for ReadyBoost. This could be a SD card or a USB flash memory drive, for example.
3. Wait for Windows Vista to detect the device.
4. Click the Start menu button once the device has been detected, then click the "Computer" tab.
5. Right-click on the flash memory drive icon in the display. The drive letter will likely be the last listed, and it will be labeled as "Removable Disk X:," the X being the appropriate drive letter.
6. Click on the "Properties" menu tab.
7. Click the "ReadyBoost" tab along the menu bar.
8. Click the "Use this Device" bubble in the window. This will enable ReadyBoost for the currently selected drive.
9. Adjust the slider to the appropriate level of memory you wish to use on the drive. The maximum allowed by ReadyBoost is 4GB, but you can change the level of system memory usage based on your particular drive.
10. Click "Apply" to save your changes and enable ReadyBoost.
Airsoft teams compete on a variety of different terrains.
Airsoft players group together in teams to practice their favorite extreme sport. Members of the teams compete in simulated combat battles with imitation firearms. These weapons fire plastic pellets at high velocity in a similar fashion to their real-life counterparts. Airsoft battles usually take the form of team events because a single match between two players, commonly known as a duel, does not last long or require much planning. Any player may join an airsoft team, but the responsibility of accepting a new member rests on the current players in the group.
Instructions
1. Visit your local airsoft or paintball arena. These businesses typically appear in your local phone directory. PBReview.com offers a listing of arenas by state, and most paintball centers promote airsoft teams as well.
2. Check the center’s public boards or sign-up sheets. Most centers offer a bulletin board solely for posting notices about recruiting teams or players looking for teams. Some may even have a sign-up directory with contact information for all competition-level groups.
3. Contact the airsoft group’s leader and let her know that you would like to join the team. List your qualifications, such as awards or contests entered and won, and your dedication to the sport. Many teams like to recruit brand new players to the sport since such players can more easily adapt to the group’s tactics and rules.
4. Match your schedule to the training and event times of the team. A player may technically be considered a team member as soon as he is on their roster list, but he won’t be around for long if he fails to attend required training or matches.

Just light any other sight, a laser sight needs to be adjusted to ensure it is targeting correctly.
Hunting rifles that are equipped with laser sights give the shooter an advantage over using traditional gun scopes. When installed and in use, a laser sight will give the hunter an instant indication of where he is aiming. Laser sights can be mounted on shotguns, rifle or handguns. Just like any other targeting aid, once you have mounted the laser sight, you need to adjust it to make sure it sights correctly.
Instructions
1. Set a target at a distance of 100 yards.
2. Turn the laser sight on and place the rifle on a shooting stand or on a sandbag to keep the rifle steady.
3. Aim the rifle so the laser dot is in the middle of the target, and fire a round.
4. Insert an Allen key into the laser sight and slowly turn the nut until the laser dot is lined up where the round entered the target. Your laser sight is now sighted and ready to be used.
5. Load your rifle and collect the items you normally take with you on your hunting excursions. Position yourself, and do not turn the laser sight on until you are ready to take a shot.
6. Turn the laser sight on, aim the rifle, and when the laser dot is in the location you want, take the shot.

The sport of paintball makes for an exciting video game concept.
A game that is played in real life with marble-sized paintballs fired from guns, the whole idea of the sport of paintball is one that lends itself well to today's world of video gaming. Some of the top manufacturers in the industry have attempted to capitalize on fans of the sport by creating video games that allow gamers to get a feel for the sport without even having to leave their living room -- but some of these games have been more well-received than others.

A functioning paintball gun is essential for good gameplay.
When playing paintball, your ability to shoot when necessary is essential for an effective offense. Out in the open, the threat of your ready-to-fire paintball gun is a deterrent from opponents carelessly announcing their positions by shooting at you. If your paintball gun won't recock itself, you have been stripped of your ability to play a good, offensive game. You will need to fix your paintball gun or play defensively. Off the field, examining your paintball gun is less stressful.
Instructions
1. Take cover if in an active game. You need to assess the reason why your paintball gun won't recock.
2. Remove the hopper containing the paintballs if you are using a CO2-powered paintball gun. Hold down the trigger. If noting happens, you are likely out of air. If you hear a rapid clicking, this also indicates you are low on air.
3. Go back to the staging area and get a new CO2 canister if your game rules allow for it. Move rapidly from one cover area to another so avoid being hit by an opponent. If your game rules do not allow you to go back to the staging area, avoid being hit for the rest of the game by practicing prudent defensive techniques. Do not stay in one place for too long, and if you are being shot at, move quickly.
4. If outside of an active game, remove the hopper from your CO2 paintball gun. Check to see whether your air is running low by pulling the trigger. If you hear rapid clicking, you are likely out of air. If nothing happens, your gun may be jammed and will need to be examined further.

Paintball is a high action sport involving Co2 powered guns that shoot balls of paint at very high speeds. This sport requires the use of protective head-gear, and sometimes camouflage clothing if playing in a field. The sport of paintball has gained in popularity over the years, evidence of which can be found across the country in numerous paintball clubs, paintball sports fields, and paintball shops. If you're a paintball enthusiast, then opening your own paintball store may be a dream come true for you.
Instructions
1. Inquire out about any municipal ordinances, permits, or licensing that you may need to sell this equipment in your local area, as areas may have different laws pertaining to the sale of air powered weapons or toys. Contact your local chamber of commerce, or law enforcement agency to inquire about the laws of your area.
2. Lease or rent a small location in a strip mall, or in a shopping center of your local area. Try to pick a location near a sporting goods store, an Army/Navy surplus store, or in a popular shopping center in your hometown. These are ideal locations that those interested in paintball may frequent.
3. Acquire paintball supplies. You can find wholesale producers of paintball equipment at various locations online such as ActionVillage.com, or at the Paintball Association website-Paintball.com. You'll need to have a lot of paintballs in various colors, replacement hoppers to hold the balls, Co2 cartridges, carrying cases, popular brands of paintball guns, helmets and goggles, and camouflage apparel as well.
4. Print up fliers and business cards and place them in sporting goods stores, gun shops or other similar locations. Ask the owners or managers for permission to place your business cards and fliers in the store. You can offer a trade (of sorts). For example, you can direct your customers to their shop for hunting supplies, and the other store owner can recommend your store for paintball supplies.

The Tippmann X7 is a capable, rugged paintball marker
The Tippmann X7 is a paintball marker manufactured by Tippmann. Tippmann is known for selling rugged, affordable entry level paintball markers. The Tippmann X7 is the most advanced model carried by Tippmann. It is available in several different trim levels and can be highly customized like many of their other paintball markers.
Air Source
The Tippmann X7, like many other paintball markers, is designed to utilize CO2, compressed air or nitrogen. These three different air sources are available in bottled form and can be used on the Tippmann X7 with no modifications. It is recommended to use compressed air or nitrogen though due to their consistency. Both compressed air and nitrogen provide more consistent bursts of air than CO2 does. CO2 air sources can also lead to extra wear on the internal parts of the Tippmann X7.
Paintball Caliber
The caliber of paintball used in the Tippmann X7 is .68. Caliber refers to the size of the paintball. Although most paintball markers utilize .68 caliber paintballs, not all manufacturers do. When purchasing paintballs for the Tippmann X7 it is essential to only purchase .68 caliber paintballs. No other size of paintball will shoot from the Tippmann X7.
Rate of Fire
The Tippmann X7 is capable of firing at 15 balls per second. To sustain this rate of fire, the Tippmann X7 is equipped with a hopper that automatically agitates the paintballs. The hopper holds the paintballs above the marker and allows gravity to feed them into the marker. The agitating portion of the hopper helps prevents paintballs from sticking to each other. This helps promote the high rate of fire.
Effective Range
The Tippmann X7 is capable of firing paintballs more than 150 feet. Since paintballs are extremely lightweight, it is recommended to shoot at targets at a much closer range. Since the Tippmann X7 shoots paintballs at a high velocity, usually around 300 feet per second, it is also suggested to not shoot at targets that are too close. Many paintball fields limit players from shooting at targets less than 10 feet away.
Naruto: Rise of a Ninja" isn't just a fighting game. It's also about exploration. Throughout the game, you can freely roam your hidden ninja village. Along the way, you'll get quests, awards and achievements. One of the many achievements you can get for exploration is unlocked when you reach the top of the Hokage mansion. To get up there, you'll need to follow a circumspect route, including running across a lake and leaping over balcony rails parkour style.
Instructions
1. Go to the southwest corner of the village. You'll find a lake there, near where your companion Sasuke hangs out.
2. Concentrate to power up your Chakra all the way, and then run onto the lake. Head northeast across the water until you find a small bay and a fisherman waiting on the shore. Get onto the shore to recharge your Chakra.
3. Run directly east until you hit a dead end. Turn north and follow the passages until you discover a secret gate. Enter the gate to get onto the railed walkway adjacent to the Hokage mansion.
4. Follow the walkway until you're immediately next to the Hokage mansion's roof. Jump onto the railing, and then immediately jump onto the roof. Run up the roof until you reach the summit, where you'll get an achievement.

Airsoft is a game similar to paintball in which teams engage in mock combat. Unlike paintball, however, the replica firearms used shoot 6mm plastic rounds instead of paintballs. The length of airsoft games can go from short-term skirmishes that last a few hours to historical re-enactments that can last for days. Airsoft is also used for training purposes by some police and military units.
What are airsoft grenades?
Airsoft grenades are key to any player's arsenal, and tie in with the realism factor of the sport. You'd use grenades in airsoft just as you would in actual combat - to take out several enemy troops at once, a fortified position or a key target such as a machine gun or a sniper - while providing minimal exposure to yourself. Most airsoft grenades have a range of about 20 feet and they can be tossed by hand or fired by grenade launchers.
Making your own airsoft grenades
While you could buy airsoft grenades with your other equipment, you also can make your own. Get plastic Easter eggs, small fire crackers, masking tape and plastic BBs. Separate the two halves of the egg and make a hole in the bottom of the egg big enough to put the firecracker fuse through. Put the firecracker inside the egg with the fuse through the hole, and fill the shell almost to the top with BBs. Put two 3-inch pieces of masking tape together and put the tape over the top of the egg, sealing the BBs in. Now you're ready for some airsoft.

Long-time divers frequently end up with old SCUBA cylinders that can no longer be used for various reasons. Perhaps diving is a long-forgotten hobby or the tanks may have failed inspection. Often, these tanks end up gathering dust in a garage because there are no clear instructions on dispose of them.
Visual Inspection
Most local dive shops offer annual visual inspections to their customers. These inspections, called Visual Inspection Program (VIP) ensure that each SCUBA cylinder is in proper condition to be filled. During a VIP, a qualified technician checks for rust inside the tank or for the telltale signs of a crack that's beginning to form.
Tanks that show evidence of internal rust are sent out to be "tumbled." The tank is filled about halfway with a cleaning solution and tumbling media. Tumbling media consists of small, rough particles that slough rust off of the inside of the tank. Most tanks can be salvaged through this process, unless the damage has become too severe.
Hydrostatic Testing
Hydrostatic testing is a more complex test that must be performed every five years on SCUBA cylinders. During the test, the tank is filled with water and submerged in a pressurized, water-filled chamber. That way, if the tank ruptures, it will be less dangerous because it is filled with water instead of highly compressed gas.
A tank that fails this inspection rarely can be salvaged. Once it has ruptured, the tank is no longer useful. At this point, it's time to find a place to scrap the tank.
Local Dive Shop Disposal
When a tank fails hydrostatic inspection, or when visual inspection reveals damage too significant to be affected by tumbling, local dive shops often take charge of the cylinder's disposal.
Failed tanks are marked with an "x" to indicate that they are condemned. Valves are removed for resale, as these are often in fine shape. The cylinders themselves are then sold to scrap metal dealers.
Scrap Metal Dealers
You can bypass your local dive shop and go straight to the scrap metal dealer. It's important that they are empty and the valves removed so that it's obvious the cylinders pose no danger. Scrap metal dealers typically pay by the pound. A garage full of unwanted or unusable tanks could be turned into cash swiftly.
Tanks simply can be delivered to the dump or recycling center. Some individuals at these drop-off locations refuse to accept cylinders, however, in the mistaken belief that they are hazardous. These items, when empty, are benign; it's the intense pressure of the compressed gas that makes the tank volatile, so an empty tank poses no more risk than any other metal waste.
Creative Uses
Creatives can try repurposing an old SCUBA tank for new use. Wiring a cylinder for a light bulb can create an interesting conversation-piece lamp. A cylinder that's been cut in half might make an excellent planter. The possibilities are endless if you're willing to get your hands dirty and have a little fun.

Homemade toy guns are often referred to as "airsoft" in homage to the imitation weapons made by the Japanese in the 1990s. You can make your own airsoft-type gun that will fire as rapidly as you can blow out a breath. A few household items are all that is needed, as are some plastic pellets from a hobby store. Adult supervision is also required if you are underage, since a drill will be used.
Instructions
1. Put the soft cloth on a table. Open the lid of the medicine pill bottle. Remove the pills from the medicine pill bottle. Put the pills safely away. Put the lid back onto the medicine pill bottle.
2. Stand the medicine pill bottle on the soft cloth with the bottom facing up.
3. Drill a small hole in the center of the bottom of the medicine pill bottle, using the portable drill.
4. Sand the sides of the hole that was drilled by moving the drill bit around the inside of the hole. Remove the drill bit from the hole.
5. Put the medicine pill bottle on its side on the soft cloth with the bottom facing to the right.
6. Cut the plastic drinking straw in half. Discard one of the halves. Put one end of the plastic drinking straw into the hole in the bottom of the medicine pill bottle.
7. Push the plastic drinking straw about two inches into the hole.
8. Apply bonding glue around the hole to secure the plastic drinking straw to the bottom of the medicine pill bottle. Let the bonding glue dry for six hours.
9. Drill a hole in the side of the medicine pill bottle, using the portable drill.
10. Sand the sides of the hole that was drilled by moving the drill bit around the inside of the hole. Remove the drill bit from the hole.
11. Remove the lid from the medicine pill bottle. Put 15-20 plastic pellets into the medicine pill bottle. Close the lid back onto the medicine pill bottle.
12. Put a couch cushion on the floor against a wall.
13. Hold the medicine pill bottle so that the "barrel" of your automatic airsoft gun is aimed at the cushion and the hole in the side is facing up
14. Place your mouth against the hole in the side.
15. Blow out your breath in short, quick breaths to fire pellet after pellet from your automatic airsoft gun at the couch cushion.
16. Continue "firing" your automatic airsoft gun until you run out of plastic pellets.

It may be too cold to play outside at night in the winter, but the weather is usually perfect for outdoor play at night in the summer. Temperatures begin to cool down after dinner and people begin to look for something they can do. Whether you have a few buddies over, or you are looking for something to do on family night, these games are perfect.
Paintball
Paintball is actually better played at night. This is because it is a game of hunting down the enemy. You can use the darkness as a cover and sneak up on your opponent. You will need paintball equipment as well as safety equipment. All participants must wear goggles to protect their eyes. Helmets are a good idea and all participants should wear several layers of clothing to soften the blow of the paint. You will need to scout out your location ahead of time. You want lots of room to roam around, but you also want plenty of places to take cover. There are two ways to play paintball outdoors at night. You can form teams or you can play individually. To play with teams you will want to capture members of the other team by shooting them with paint. When all of the other teams members have been captured, your team wins. To play individually, it is last man standing wins.
Name That Constellation
This game is perfect for a night with a clear sky. Everyone can get a blanket or sleeping bag, and a flashlight, and take it outside. Lay down and play "Name That Constellation." Each person should shout out a constellation and show everyone where it is. The individual who shouts out the most correct constellations wins. When the game is over, each player should find stars to create their own constellation. They can then name their own constellation. This can be a lot of fun and players can come up with some pretty crazy constellations.
Optional: Have a star map available to check the accuracy of the player who finds a constellation.
Jail
Children, teens and adults can have fun playing jail at night. All you need is a tin can and a large yard with places to hide. One person is designated as the jailer. The jailer must place a tin can in the middle of the property where the game is being played. All players must agree on a space to be designated as a jail. The jailer then counts out 60 seconds before looking for the criminals. When the jailer spots a criminal he must shout out, "I found XXX". Say the person's name and then they have 10 seconds to get to the tin can and kick it. The jailer should try to prevent them from reaching the can. If they don't reach the can in time, they must make their way to the jail. If they do kick the can, they get to remain in the game and hide again. The game is over when the last player is thrown in jail. A new jailer can then be chosen.

The Hasbro toy company produces several lines of Nerf blasters that shoot soft foam darts. The darts come in a number of sizes. The blasters are powered by spring or air, and they range from single-shot to fully automatic battery-powered models. Constructing your own simple Nerf blaster from wood is a simple, fun project.
Instructions
1. Screw the boards together to form the frame. Cut the end of the one-by-two across the long side of the width at a 45-degree angle. This board will be the grip. Screw the grip board into the flat side of the two-by-four "barrel" board. Make the joint along the right -- rear view -- side of the barrel board.
2. Drill through the "barrel" board. Holding the "pistol" frame in your hand, drill all the way through the length of the horizontal board. The hole should be made on the left -- rear view -- side of the two-by-four board. Drill the hole, using a bit slightly larger than the diameter of your wooden dowel. Then use a bit only slightly smaller than your wooden disc to drill from the front 8 inches back into the two-by-four. Now you have a large diameter hole through the front 8 inches and a small hole through the rear 2 inches of your 10-inch two-by-four.
3. Attach the disc to the dowel. Insert a small screw through the center of the wooden disc and into the end of the dowel.
4. Cut your spring so that it is about 6 inches long at rest. Use a set of pliers or scissors to cut the spring so it will fit entirely into the large-diameter hole. Use a spring that is smaller diameter than the disc but larger than the dowel.
5. Insert the spring into the large hole, then insert the dowel. The end of the dowel without the disc should enter the large end of the hole first. Pressure from the spring will keep the dowel from exiting the small-diameter hole.
6. Push the disc down in the hole. This will cause the other end of the dowel to exit the small-diameter hole. Fasten a small eye screw into the end of the dowel as it pokes out of the rear of your pistol. When you release the dowel, it should be drawn back into the small hole until the eye screw makes contact with the 2-by-4. The spring will still be under slight pressure.
7. Test fire your Nerf blaster. Place a Nerf dart into the large-diameter hole. It should be slightly loose so that it can slide further back when the spring is compressed. Grip the handle with your right hand, and pull back on the eye screw with your left hand, compressing the spring. When you release the screw, the spring will expand, forcing the disc forward and launching the dart out of your homemade Nerf blaster.

All-terrain vehicles, or ATVs, have evolved for many enthusiasts from a hobby to extreme sport. The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) defines an ATV as a vehicle that travels on low-pressure tires, with a seat that is straddled by the operator, along with handlebars for steering control. ATV enthusiasts have made recreational riding into a lifestyle, many exploring the nation for challenging new trails. Cherry Creek, in Northern Utah, is a recreational mecca for serious ATV riding and welcomes thousands of new riders, both expert and novice, each year.
Little Sahara
Wheel Tracks in the Sand
In the Sevier Desert lies 124 square miles of sandy dunes with 10 miles of trail that is dubbed one of the largest in the state. The remnants of the receded Sevier River, Little Sahara features 700 foot Sand Mountain, four large campgrounds, a visitor's center and its largest peak, Maple Mountain. It is usually filled with enthusiasts and is open year-round. A permit is required, and there is an $8 entry fee.
Coffee Peak Trail
Just off of Richfield Pioneer Road, 11 miles of dirt and rock road along the narrow ridge tops makes up Coffee Peak Trail. The steep drops on either side and semi-rough terrain make it a potentially dangerous trek but astounding views of Scipio Lake, Willow Creek Canyon, Chalk Creek Canyon and Beehive Peak are well worth the risk.
Vernon Reservoir Trails
The Tooele Valley of Cherry Creek is home to Vernon Reservoir and its numerous dirt trails bordering it. Aside from the good fishing it offers, the remote, desert-like trails offer a challenging ride, several mines and nice views along the way.
Jacob City
Between the towns of Ophir and Stockton is the trail to the old and vacated mining town of Jacob City. The steep terrain and rutted route can be a hazard to the land of barred and unused ore mines and tunnels, buildings and foundations once used to prevalently.

There are many reasons that lead individuals to purchase a shotgun--from hunting to personal or home defense. Buying a shotgun is moderately difficult and actually requires very few steps. However, the biggest step involved may actually involve the decision-making process to determine which shotgun will most adequately fit the buyer's needs.
Instructions
1. Determine the type and gauge of shotgun to be purchased. Shotguns are available as single-shot break-open models, side-by-side or double barrels, over-and-under barrels, pumps and automatics. Shotguns are also commonly available in .410, 20, 12, and 16 gauge. The gauge will correspond to power as well as shoulder kick.
2. Fill out the required paperwork for a criminal background check. Make sure to fill in all information to the best of your knowledge and do not omit any information. A fee will typically be involved with running the background check.
3. Purchase the shotgun once the background check returns clear. Most stores will accept various types of payment, with the exception of personal check. Keep in mind that paying for a firearm with a credit card and defaulting on the card by failing to pay can be considered a criminal act and may be punishable by law.
4. Purchase any needed accessories with the shotgun such as a case for storage or transport, shotgun shells, hearing protection, eye protection and targets. As with almost any sport, there are myriad accessories available for purchase.
Woodsball is a game of strategy and unique tactics.
Woodsball, or woods paintball, is a popular form of the recreational sport that can be played in any natural outdoor setting. A key aspect in woodsball is that the playing field has large boundaries and sometimes no boundaries at all. In any game of paintball, teamwork and strategy are important for success.
Setting Up a Pod
In woodsball, there may be times when movement around the course is at a minimum. If you know you are going to be positioned in a bunker or behind a wall for a longer period of time, set up an additional pod. A pod is a canister that holds extra paintballs and is usually worn on a holster around the waist. Place the pod in front of you to make for a quick and easy change when your ammunition runs out.
Sliding
Sliding is useful in woodsball when moving from one position to the next. When approaching a position behind a bunker, wall or tree, tuck one leg under the other and slide into the area, similar to sliding into a base when playing baseball. This helps you avoid being an easy target for an opponent when making a run.
Set-up Shooting
Set-up shooting is useful in woodsball as well as any form of paintball. This style of shooting involves timing and patience. First, you must identify where your opponent's shots are coming from. Once the location is identified, find a position that gives you the best chance of a successful shot while not exposing your body. You can usually expect a break in shooting from your opponent, so the second your opponent rests, take your shot. The set-up shot can be very successful, especially if the opponent remains in the same area and continues to pop out from his cover in the same spot.
Bunker Shot
If you notice an opponent firing from a bunker in a particular direction, wait for him to either become focused on shooting in one direction or duck into the bunker for cover. Once he does either of these, run to the opposite side of the shooter's bunker and fire off a quick, unexpected shot at close range. If an opponent is stuck in a bunker, he is primarily in a defensive mode, so he may not be able to look in all directions and locate you charging in from the opposite side.
Leap Frogging
Teamwork is the key to success in any style of paintball, especially woodsball. Leap frogging is a technique involving two people. The teammates pick out a designated line of trees and bunkers to use as cover. Teammate A will run to the first location and start to fire shots as Teammate B covers him. A few seconds later, Teammate B will follow to that same location and identify where shots are coming from. Once he arrives to the location, Teammate A takes off to the second location as Teammate B fires off a round in the original location. The process continues up the field as the two players help each other and pick off opponents as they advance up the playing field. A good distance for a trailing player to follow a lead player is about 20 tp 25 feet.
Equipment
Camouflage is a helpful way to remain unseen in woodsball. If you do not have a camouflage suit, any darker clothing with a mixture of black, brown and green is beneficial to mix in with the color of the woods. As for a paintball gun, use a 12 to 14 inch barrel when playing woodsball. It is better to use a shorter barrel to avoid branches and shrubs getting in the way at any time.
Listen to Your Surroundings
A player's listening skills could be one of the most useful weapons in woodsball. Not knowing where your opponents are shooting from immediately puts you at a disadvantage. First, always listen to where shots are coming from and how often the shots are being fired. Second, listen for the sound of rustling leaves or the breaking of branches as this is a clear signal of a player's location and movements.

The Wild West is an important part of American culture.
The American Wild West conjures scenes of cowboys drinking hard in saloons and fighting gun battles on the dirt streets of an old town in the imaginations of people around the world. The tools a cowboy used included his horse, a bottle of whiskey and a six-shooter on his hip. However, the weapons of the Wild West were not just limited to pistols.
Colt .45 Pistol
The Colt .45 was a single-action revolver that fired .45-caliber shells. The cylinder held six bullets, and it would fire after the user pulled back on the hammer and pulled the trigger. Since the original Colt pistols were single-action, the user had to pull back on the hammer after each round was fired to rotate the cylinder. Billy the Kid used a Colt .44, which was a more powerful version of the Colt .45 pistol.
Coach Gun
The coach gun was a type of shotgun used by coach drivers and messengers during the 1800s. The shotgun had two side-by-side barrels that were 18 inches in length. The coach drivers carried this weapon to fight off bandits and outlaws or Native Americans who attempted to rob the coach. The route for coaches was dangerous and stretched almost 2,800 miles from Missouri to California. The coach gun was effective at close range but was at a disadvantage when used against rifles when they were fired from a distance.
1873 Winchester Rifle
The 1873 Winchester Rifle was a popular weapon in the Wild West. The 24-inch long barrel and .45 caliber rifling made it lightweight and effective at long distances. The Winchester 1878 Rifle was used by the Texas Rangers for patrolling the border with Mexico and for hunting outlaws within Texas borders. Famous cowboys such as Butch Cassidy, Buffalo Bill Cody and Pat Garrett all carried the Winchester 1878.
Sharps Sporting Rifle
The Sharps sporting rifle was a .52 caliber single shot rifle used primarily for hunting buffalo. During the 1880s four great buffalo herds roamed the Great Plains, with an estimated combined 22 million buffalo. They were hunted at first for meat for the railroad workers, but as buffalo hide became more popular for use in products such as luggage, the number of buffalo decreased sharply due to over-hunting and poaching. The Sharps rifle was a popular choice for buffalo hunters as the great herds were decimated.
Never have the right MOLLE pouch for your airsoft or paintball gear? Here's sew your own MOLLE pouch with PALS webbing.
Instructions
1. First, get your sewing machine set up with the right needles and thread. See my article on "Sew Cordura Nylon and Webbing" in the Resources section of this page.
2. Cut your Cordura fabric material, velcro and webbing to size. Lay everything out to double check your measurements. Now sew on your Velcro hook and loop tapes.
3. Sew the PALS webbing on the front piece of the pouch. MOLLE webbing is made from 1" webbing with 1" spaces between them. The webbing is sewn down every 1.5". I start at the bottom of a column, sew up to the top, then sew down and back up again. This triple stitching locks the thread in place.
4. Sew the MOLLE webbing on the back piece of the pouch. For small MALICE clips use be three solid rows of 1" webbing. For large MALICE clips make two rows of webbing, a 1" space and then two more rows. If you just sew five solid rows of webbing it will work for either size MALICE clip. I went nuts on this pouch and covered the back with 7 rows of webbing.
5. Start assembling the pouch. Line up the bottom left corner of the front and back pieces and secure with a binder clip. Line up the top of the front piece with where it will fall on the back piece and use another clip. Now Z fold the rest of the front piece material to make a pleat. Sew it down.
6. Line up, fold and sew the right side.
7. Line up the center of the bottom edges of the front and back pieces and secure them. Form a Z fold on the left and right of the bottom edges as you did for the sides. Sew it down and now your pouch is almost done.
8. Now finish the pouch by sewing binding tape along the bottom, sides and flap of the pouch to cover the raw edges and prevent them from fraying.
