Get A Sponsor For A Team

Little league teams need sponsors to help with the expenses of the team.

Teams of all kinds look for organizations to become sponsors for them. A sponsor pays a specified amount of money which is used by the team for expenses. In return, the team provides advertisement for the sponsor. Teams, ranging from little leagues to professional basketball teams, need sponsors. A team generally forms a committee which meets together and determines the ways in which they will find sponsors.

Instructions

1. Determine the sponsorship duties. Prior to finding a sponsor for a team, the committee must determine what the duties of the sponsors will be. Typically, sponsors have only one duty which is providing a specified amount of money. This amount of money is determined by the committee by calculating how much money is needed and how many sponsors are needed. The total amount of money needed is divided by the number of needed sponsors. This amount becomes the duty of the sponsor to pay.

2. Decide what advertising will occur. Often times, the type of advertising offered in exchange for a sponsorship, is done through printing the sponsor's name on the team's shirts. Another type of advertising commonly done is by printing a list of all sponsor's names in a thank-you ad in the local newspaper. For larger teams, more extensive advertising is conducted.

3. Send letters. Sending letters to potential sponsors is one avenue used to get sponsors. The letters should announce to the potential sponsors what the organization is looking for in a sponsor, the cost of the sponsorship and the advertising that will be done in exchange. Include in the letter, that a follow-up phone call will occur and ask the potential sponsor to consider choosing this form of advertising.

4. Make phone calls. Another way to get sponsors for a team is by making phone calls. Create a list of local organizations that are potential sponsors. Begin calling each one stating who you are and what you're looking for.

5. Visit local businesses. Going door to door is another method that works well for obtaining sponsors. When choosing this method, be sure to have a flyer or brochure that explains what the sponsorship involves. Leave the flyer with the business after conducting a brief meeting with the owner or manager.

6. Make follow-up calls. After letters and phone calls have been made, follow up with each business that has not agreed yet to become a sponsor. Be sure to answer any questions they have and thank them for considering this activity.

Load The Airsoft G608

Airsoft guns are very similar to regular firearms.

The Airsoft G608 is a firearm replica airsoft gun intended for recreation. Airsoft guns are non-lethal and are used for target practice and competition, much like paintball guns. The Airsoft G608 is patterned after a military assault rifle, and operates much the same way. Instead of using bullets, it uses plastic pellets. The procedure for loading an airsoft gun is very similar to the steps for loading a magazine-fed firearm, with the main difference being that airsoft guns use non-lethal ammunition.

Instructions

1. Push the magazine eject button on the left side of the Airsoft G608, just above the trigger well toward the back of the gun. This button allows you to eject the ammunition clip. The safety lever is located to the front of the magazine eject button. You'll have to eject the old magazine before inserting a new one.

2. Pull the old magazine from the gun while still holding down on the magazine eject button.

3. Release the magazine eject button and push the new magazine into the slot of the gun until you hear a clicking noise.

Nerf Wars Rules

Nerf Wars Rules

Nerf war games are played with Nerf launchers. These battles can erupt in fields, playgrounds and anywhere foam-launching devices may be used. Some games that can be played using Nerf launchers are capture the flag, deathmatch and infection. These games require forming teams and can be played with small or large groups of people.

Capture the Flag

Objective: In Capture the flag or CTF flags are placed in two bases, one for each team. The teams try to steal the flag from the opposite team's base and bring it back to their own base while the flag is still in their own base. Doing this earns the team a point. When one team gets to three points, the game is over.

Players: CTF requres two teams of equal size. Five players on each team is the smallest number of people that can play the game.

Field: The field for CTF needs to be very specific. There must be two areas that can be bases for the two teams. The play area has to be medium to small in size due to the amount of running needed to get the flag back to the other base. It must be symmetrical so no team has an advantage over the other. The last criteria for the play area is there should be multiple paths between the bases so there is a possibility for flanking to the other base.

Preparation: According to Nerf-Wars.com, CTF requires a lot of preparation and should only be attempted by someone who has considerable experience planning Nerf wars. The organizer has to coordinate a large group of people and a set up an area that is symmetrical.

Deathmatch

Objective: In deathmatch, players are organized into two teams. Each team tries to shoot the other team while avoiding foam darts from the other team. There are no sides to the field, so players can kill or be killed anywhere. There are two rules for being hit in deathmatch: The first is when someone gets hit, the player must sit out until the round is over. When all members of one team are out, the round is over. The team with members still on the field gets a point. The other rule is each person has three lives. The first two times a player gets hit the player has to leave the field for 15 seconds. After 15 seconds, the player can enter again. After the player gets hit the third time, the player is out for the round.

Players: Deathmatch is a two-team game. There has to be a minimum of four players for two teams of two. Having more players can make the game last longer and make it more complex. Make sure you have a way to tell friend from foe. This could be colored shirts or a band that goes around team members' arms.

Field: Deathmatch requires a field of medium to large size. If the field is bare, the battle can be similar to the tactics of 1812. The field can also have lots of obstacles for team members to hide behind and get flanking positions on the enemy.

Preparation: A group of people can spontaneously decide to have a Nerf war deathmatch, or they can plan it in advance. Deathmatch can be played anywhere.

Infection

Objective: Infection can sometimes be called Zombie. During infection, one player is chosen to be the infected or zombie. The infected tries to hunt down the other players. When the infected hits another player the person is then infected and must then hunt down other players. When only one player remains, another round begins with the last man standing as the infected.

Players: This game can be played with as little as three players or a maximum of 20.

Field: Infection can be played on any medium to large field. There should be enough space that when most players are infected, there are still enough places to hide. This game is best suited for an outdoor field with trees and boulders as obstacles.

Preparation: As this game can be played with as little as three players and a maximum of 20. It does not require much preparation time.

Modular Tactical Vest Assembly Instructions

Modular Tactical Vests (MTVs) are used primarily by the U.S. Marine Corps for body armor. The MTVs protect the wearer from ballistic threats including bullets, explosives and shrapnel by utilizing multiple armor types. The two armor types are Small Arms Protective Inserts (SAPI) and Enhanced Small Arms Protective Inserts (ESAPI). The armor layers are comprised of Kevlar, Twaron, SpectraShield, ceramic cores and ballistic fiber. Proper assembly of MTVs is required for proper protection.

Instructions

1. Place the cummerbund face down with all three tabs facing each other and place the three hole adapter over the tabs. Weave the cable through all three holes.

2. Thread the quick release table through the grommets, and select the final grommet based on where you want the quick release cable to be located. The quick release cable will terminate on the left or right side of the top or bottom of the MTV; choose the most convenient spot for you. Now lace the bungee cord through the cummerbund and the three hole adapter.

3. Insert all hard armor plates into their respective pockets, ensuring that the soft side is facing inwards. The hard armor plates will go in the outside pockets. Close all cummerbund tabs over the pocket inserts and attach hip pads if desired.

4. Place all soft armor inserts in their respective inner pockets, connect all shoulder buckles, then insert the front and back ESAPI plates into the upper exterior pockets. Now put the MTV on and have another individual adjust the shoulders using the Velcro straps.

5. Connect the cummerbund to the MTV straps, connecting all straps. Ensure that the cummerbund is right-side-up and close all flaps. Adjust the bungee cord to ensure a snug fit and cut off all but 4-6 inches of the bungee cord.

6. Place the collar assembly over your head, ensuring that it is centered and flat. Affix it to the MTV using the upper tabs, then attach the throat protector. Inspect the fit of the MTV, checking for gaps in areas that should be protected. Adjust the bungee cords and Velcro placements to ensure a tight, proper fit.

Set Up Laser Sights On A Crossbow

Use the laser scope for accuracy in hunting and target shooting.

Using a laser sight on a crossbow improves the accuracy of your shot. This makes for better hunting or target shooting. The key to gaining this increase in accuracy is in the set-up and alignment of the laser sight. Once the sight is mounted, head to the target range and begin the process of aligning and zeroing in the accuracy of the laser sight.

Instructions

1. Mount the laser sights according to the maker's installation instructions. Many crossbows come with the sights installed. If not installed, there will be instructions for the proper assembly of the crossbow and sight.

2. Load a quarrel into the crossbow and face the target. Look at the laser sight to find the two adjustments: the windage dial that controls the horizontal adjustments and the elevator dial that controls the vertical adjustments.

3. Look through the sight and find the red dot in the center of the sight. Your laser sight may have a three-dot system instead of a single dot. Cock the crossbow and take a shot at the target, aiming for the center.

4. Notice where you shotr landed in relation to the center. If the quarrel went to the left, turn the windage dial so the dot centers to the right of the sight. If the quarrel went too far to the right, turn the windage dial so the dot aligns further to the left of the sight.

5. Turn the elevator dial to the right to lower the sight if the quarrel went higher than your desired target. Turn the elevator dial to the left to raise the sight if it went below your desired target. Take another shot and check the adjusted laser sight. Continue to make these adjustments until you have the laser sight set to your needs.

Make A Ball Point Pen Explode

Sure looks innocent, doesn't it?

Ball point pens are extremely useful tools, but have an unfortunate habit of exploding all over the nearest clean (usually white) cloth surface. Ink is notoriously hard to expunge from absorbent surfaces, making this a very real threat to your laundry.

However, if you're in the mood to actually try to make a ball point pen explode, you'll want to make use of a physics phenomenon known as "thermal expansion," wherein the ink inside the pen gets so hot that it expands beyond the confines of the pen itself.

Instructions

1. Uncap the ball point pen and set the cap aside.

2. Lay the ball point pen in an area that gets an unusually high level of ambient heat. This could include the dryer, in full sunlight or under a heat lamp of some kind.

3. Stand a little distance away to avoid getting ink on yourself.

The heat will cause the molecules of ink inside the pen's cartridge to expand beyond the cartridge itself, eventually bursting through the seams of the pen's construction and getting insoluble ink absolutely everywhere.

Build A Tippmann Sniper Paintball Gun

Paintball is a sport that is here to stay. It's difficult to resist sneaking through the woods and letting your paintballs fly as you mark your targets. Of course, having a good, accurate gun helps. A sniper gun is even better. Build your own Tippmann sniper paintball gun with the help of this eHow.

Instructions

1. Find a barrel that increases your accuracy when you are building a Tippmann sniper paintball gun. The barrel should not be more than 16 inches, and should match the size of the paintballs that you'll be firing from the gun. Make sure the threading of the barrel you purchase matches that of your gun.

2. Choose paintballs that will work well with your barrel when you are building a Tippmann sniper paintball gun. A down and dirty test is to drop the paintball down the barrel. If the paintball sticks, it's too small; it doesn't stick at all and just rolls, it's too small. The ball should go through the barrel easily--but not too easily.

3. Consider adding a regulator when you are building a Tippmann sniper paintball gun. The regulator will help regulate the CO2 your gun fires each time, making it consistent. Regulators can help to make your gun shoot more accurately.

4. Polish the contact points on your Tippmann marker when you are building a Tippmann sniper paintball gun. Because the Tippmann markers often arrive from the factory with paint residue on the rear bolt, front bolt and the receiver, it can cause friction and lessen the gun's accuracy.

5. Add a sight when you build a Tippmann sniper paintball gun. This will help you be more accurate with your Tippmann sniper paintball gun.

6. Make your Tippmann sniper paintball gun more versatile by adding a remote kit, cammo and a stock. Since you want to be able to crawl quickly while approaching your target, the remote will make your marker lighter while the cammo helps to conceal you. The stock can make your Tippmann sniper gun more stable.

7. Lower the trigger pull when you are building a Tippmann sniper paintball gun. You can swap the spring of the trigger with that of a mechanical pencil. You have to make sure the spring is the right length so it fires consistently. You should find out whether this is illegal at your paintball range before making this modification.

Make A Paintball Gun From Scratch

Make a Paintball Gun From Scratch

Paintball guns, also known as "marker" guns, shoot a projectile that bursts when hitting the target. A paintball gun must have a firing mechanism that will ensure that the projectile fired doesn't burst prior to finding its target. You can make your own paintball gun using some common household items and a few parts from a hardware store. Your homemade paintball gun might not be pretty as one commercially made, but it will fire a projectile just as effectively.

Instructions

1. Put newspaper down on your work surface. Place a empty plastic soda bottle down on its side on the newspaper, with the neck of the bottle facing to the left.

2. Hold down the empty plastic soda bottle with your left hand while pushing one of the blades of the scissors through the bottom with your right hand (reverse this for "lefties").

3. Enlarge the hole by twisting the blade of the scissors in the hole. Stop twisting the blade when the hole is about the same size as the hole at the end of the neck at the other end of the empty soda bottle.

4. Insert the tip of the hose coming from the bicycle pump into the hole at the bottom of the soda bottle. Wrap duct tape around the hose where it meets the bottle.

5. Apply glue from the hot glue gun around the bottom of the soda bottle to adhere the hose of the bicycle pump into the hole. Let the hot glue set for about five minutes. Reapply the hot glue and let it set again for five minutes.

6. Screw one end of the PVC pipe into the PVC pipe valve.

7. Push the other end of the PVC pipe into the hole in the neck of the soda bottle. Stop pushing when the PVC pipe valve lies flush against the neck of the bottle.

8. Apply hot glue around the neck of the bottle to adhere the PVC pipe valve to the neck. Let the hot glue set for five minutes.

9. Turn the valve on the PVC pipe valve to the "closed" position.

10. Pump the bicycle pump about twenty times.

11. Insert a paintball projectile into the open end of the PVC pipe valve.

12. Aim the paintball gun at a target; for example, a tree or bush in your backyard. Release the PVC pipe valve to shoot a paintball at the target.

Make A Paintball Field Fence

Paintball fields can vary greatly in their size and terrain. Some paintball fields are set in the woods while others are in open fields. Regardless of the location, all paintball fields must have visible borders and easy-to-see fences. While plenty of materials can be used for this fence, using yellow tape is the quickest and cheapest way to mark the field. Yellow tape will last for many years and is easily visible. Also, if you decide to change the boundaries of your course, this fence is easy to remove and replace.

Instructions

1. Locate a plot of land that you want to use for paintball. Make sure you have permission to use this piece of land. Suitable areas for paintball fields usually have plenty of trees, large rocks, streams and other obstacles. Also, try to find a piece of land that is relatively flat. It is safer to play on flat land than a steep hill.

2. Wrap the yellow tape around a sturdy tree and tie a knot about 4 feet off the ground. This will serve as the start of your fence. Walk along the boundary of your field and wrap the yellow tape around a tree about every 10 feet. This will prevent the tape from sagging. Every time you wrap the yellow tape around a tree, drive a nail into that tape to prevent it from falling down.

3. Drive a stake into the ground using a hammer to create a post wherever there is no tree available. Once the stake is firmly in the ground, wrap the tape around the post like you did with trees. Drive a nail through the yellow tape into the post. This will prevent it from falling off.

4. Create a boundary by completely encompassing the field in yellow tape. When the roll of tape runs out, tie it off on a tree and start using a new roll of tape on the same tree.

5. Tell your friends and everyone else using the field that yellow tape designates a boundary. This will ensure that they stay in bounds.

What Kind Of Airsoft Gun Is Good For A Beginner

Spring action guns are usually a good choice for airsoft beginners

Individuals who are new to the Airsoft sport should begin with a spring action gun. These Airsoft guns have to be cocked after every shot, but are reliable and easy to use. In addition to the ease of use, the spring action Airsoft gun is relatively cheap. For most beginners a cheap gun is a great way to decide whether or not you are interested in the sport and willing to invest more money. The spring action guns are usually pistols, and many are modeled after well-known handguns, although there are some rifles. It is best to get familiar and comfortable with these before moving on to the more expensive and complex electric guns.

Desert Eagle .44 Magnum

The Desert Eagle .44 magnum is an inexpensive spring action gun that is capable of shooting at 290 Feet per Second (FPS). The gun holds 28 BB’s. The Desert Eagle .44 magnum is lightweight, accurate and inexpensive. During the year 2010, these guns range in price from about $24 to $30.

Crossman SASR36 Tactical

The Crossman SASR36 Tactical is a spring action rifle with a removable stock and an adjustable fore grip. The Crossman SASR36 has an LED flashlight and a crosshair sight. The gun is capable of shooting at 240 to 260 FPS. You are able to attach scopes or lasers to a rail on the top of the gun and it will hold 20 rounds.

Walther P22

The Walther P22 is a replica of the actual Walther gun. This spring action Airsoft gun shoots 6mm BB’s and holds 20 in each clip. The gun is capable of shooting at 260 FPS. The Walther P22 also has a rail for mounting a laser site. It is a lightweight single action handgun and is very affordable.

Crossman Stinger P9

The Crossman Stinger P9 is a reliable spring action gun. This single shot handgun has a magazine that holds 12 BB’s. This gun is capable of shooting at 275 FPS. As of 2010, this gun typically sells for between $22 to $28.

Galaxy MP5K-PDW Version

Once you have familiarized yourself with the spring action guns and have gotten used to loading them and firing them, you may want to upgrade to an electric gun that offers more power and versatility. When just starting out with a more high-powered gun, the Galaxy is a good rifle and it is moderately priced for an electric Airsoft gun. It can hold up to 200 rounds, shoots at 340 FPS and is accurate up to 220 feet.

Keep Clothes From Balling Up In The Dryer

Clothes may ball up in the dryer, but this can be prevented.

Due to a clothes dryer's tumbling action, wet clothes sometimes ball up, which means they will take longer to dry and will come out wrinkled. This happens frequently with natural fabrics such as cottons, and can cost extra time and money--you'll need to iron to get the wrinkles out and you will have to run the dryer longer to get the clothes fully dry. A simple solution exists to prevent your clothes from balling up in the dryer. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Purchase dryer balls. These balls are often sold as natural, non-chemical clothes softeners, but they also prevent clothes from balling up in the dryer.

2. Grasp clothing items, one item at a time, from your washing machine when the wash cycle has finished and shake them out. According to laundry tips found on the LG website, shaking clothes out before placing them in the dryer will help prevent them from balling up.

3. Place the laundry in your dryer. Put the dryer balls in with the clothes and run the dryer as normal.

Get Wwe Logos

The infamous WWE logo has changed through the years as wrestling went through the 1990s "Attitude Era" and the WWE went through a name change. Wrestling fans may want to use the logo for live event signs, bedroom decorations or just personal projects. Getting the WWE logo and other WWE logos like wrestler names and symbols is fairly easy and can be done a number of ways. The method depends on your specific purpose for the WWE logo.

Instructions

Pay Per View Logos

1. Find WWE pay per view logos at WWE.com. Click on the pay per view link and find the corresponding pay per view name like the Royal Rumble. The WWE logo is also featured on almost every one of the wallpapers and can be found on the main page of WWE.com

2. Download the largest resolution wallpaper of the paper view logo that you want. Even if this size does not match your desktop, it does not matter because you are simply using the wallpaper for the logo.

3. Import the picture in photo editing software. Programs like Paint Shop Pro and Adobe Photoshop are perfect for taking the logo.

4. Use a selection tool to highlight the area around the poster. Copy and paste the logo into a blank project slate. If possible, render the background translucent. If your software does not do that, leave the background black or white.

5. Save the logo as a new photo. Use it for printing or in other photo projects you plan on creating.

Wrestler Logos

6. Visit Fathead.com and click on the "WWE" category on the main website. Fatheads are wall decals that can stick and be removed from almost any type of wall. The WWE collection features a decal of the WWE wrestler and extra decals including the wrestler logo and WWE logos.

7. Choose the WWE wrestler you want a logo for. While the website does not feature middle-rank superstars like Shelton Benjamin and The Miz, as of early 2010 the website did have logos for superstars like Triple H, John Cena and The Undertaker.

8. Choose from a full-sized Fathead or a Junior Sized Fathead. The Junior Sized Fathead is about half the wrestler size, but it still features the same sized logos and decals.

9. Click on the shopping cart link and enter your shipping and billing information to finalize the purchase. Use a scanner to copy the wrestler logo for further use on your computer once the package arrives.

Homemade Paintball Armor

Learn make homemade paintball armor.

Paintball battles combine the thrill of team sports with the excitement of high-speed projectiles, without the danger of shooting real firearms. Even so, taking a paintball to the body, even with a few layers of clothing, can really hurt. Layering is one of the most effective ways to shield your skin from paintball welts, but several layers can be cumbersome and uncomfortable in hot weather. Fortunately, there is a lightweight alternative that will significantly decrease the pain resulting from well-aimed paintballs.

Instructions

1. Place your shower curtain on a flat working surface.

2. Cut away the curtain's topmost strip lined with hook holes using a pair of sharp scissors. On some curtain models, these metal brads often jingle when moved, which could easily give away your position during a paintball battle.

3. Wrap the shower curtain around your torso just under your armpits. Make a small mark where the edge overlaps with the rest of the curtain and another mark at waist level. Cut the curtain at these marks and tape the edges together, thereby creating a sleeve similar to a tube-top. This section will protect your chest, abdomen and most of your back.

4. Cut out a 2-foot-by-2-foot square in the shower curtain and then cut an 8-inch circle in the center of the square. Insert your head through the circle. Tape one side of the square to the top front edge of the previously created chest and back armor. Tape the opposite side of the square to the top rear edge of the same armor. This piece of armor will protect your shoulder blades and collarbones.

5. Wrap the shower curtain around both upper arms and cut to size, much like the first piece of armor. Cut the pieces out, wrap them around your arms and tape the edges together to make upper arm armor. Pull down the upper chest/back armor over your shoulders and tape it to your upper arm armor. Doing so will protect your shoulders and upper arms.

6. Repeat the procedure in Step 5 to create lower arm armor, thigh armor and lower leg armor. Connect these pieces to the central pieces of armor using strips of duct tape. Apply dirt to the underside of these strips to avoid getting them stuck to your clothes.

Buy Fisherprice Infant Toys

Fisher-Price has a nice line of infant toys including rattles, teethers, activity toys and stuffed animals.

Instructions

Rattles and Teethers

1. Consider the age of the baby you are shopping for. You can buy almost any infant toy for a newborn, because he or she will grow into it.

2. Be sure to buy something that a baby over 6 months old will be interested in. Rattles and teethers won't have as much use as other toys.

3. Notice the rattles and teethers available. The Bear Dumbbell ($3), Dog and Puppy Teether ($5), and Juggling Lion ($8) are safe, bright toys that babies will enjoy.

4. Note that the Peaceful Planet Sunflower Rattle ($5) makes rain noises. The Sweet Squeaks Toys ($4) are soft, squeaky toys in the shape of food, such as ice cream cones, pies and muffins.

5. Be aware that most of the rattles and teethers are designed for ages 3 months to 1 year.

Stuffed Animals

6. Look at the types of stuffed animals Fisher-Price makes for babies ages 0 to 3 years. The Peaceful Planet line offers cute animals such as a bunny, a mouse and a chipmunk.

7. Note that all of these toys make sounds on a motion-activated basis. Some also have motion-activated lights. The Peaceful Planet Soothing Sounds Bear has sounds and lights and costs about $14. The animals without lights are $6.

8. Check out the Cozies Cuddly Toys - soft, stuffed animals with satin trim in the $10 price range. Another popular animal is the Bright Expressions Sight, Sound and Touch Wiggle Bug ($6). This colorful bug vibrates when baby touches it.

Activity Toys

9. Be sure to look at the activity toys Fisher-Price makes. The Activity Center attaches to a crib and has eleven activities and five sounds for baby to enjoy. It is for ages 4 months to 1 year and costs about $14.

10. Check out the lights and sounds of the 1, 2, 3 Sing Along Puppy ($30), which also attaches to the crib. This item also converts to a walker and is for ages 4 months to 2 years.

11. See that the Slumbertime Soother has music and nature sounds and is designed to help baby sleep. It comes with a remote control so the parent can reactiviate it without going into baby's room. This is for ages 0 to 3 years and is well worth the $25 pricetag. It is the winner of an Oppenheim SNAP award.

12. Note that the Musical Lights 'n' Sounds Gym (ages 0 to 2, $30) and the Activity Links Gym (ages 0 to 2, $19) provide toys that hang above baby as he or she plays on the floor.

13. Consider another interesting floor toy - the Bright Expressions Kick 'n' Crawl Playhouse. This starts out as a play quilt for young babies and converts to a crawl-through play tunnel for crawlers (ages 0 to 12 months, $28).

Ideas For A Clean Bachelor Party

Today's bachelor parties rarely resemble the traditional gathering of the groom's friends, strippers and many cases of beer. There are many options for bachelors who want to have clean parties. In fact, today's bachelor parties often include the bride and her friends as well.

Adventure

Plan an outdoor adventure like camping, white water rafting, paintballing, sky diving, skiing, boating or hiking. There are even companies that plan adventure bachelor parties for you (see resources). You can also organize a road trip to your hometown, college town or to a tourist site like an amusement park or the Grand Canyon.

Sports

Visit a sporting event in style. Take a limousine and get box or front row seats. Another option is to play sports yourselves. Plan a trip to a golf resort, or organize a softball game. Include the bride and her friends if you find that you need more people.

Luxury

Have a feast at an upscale restaurant. You can also try many different restaurants by visiting a different one for each course. Another idea is to plan a weekend (or week, if possible) in a city or at a resort that you have always wanted to see. A trip is an ideal way to spend some quality time with your friends before being married.

Nostalgia

Gather favorite childhood board games like Risk, Monopoly, Stratego and Sorry and have a game night. Enjoy snacks and candy from that era as well. Planning a movie marathon is another nostalgic idea. A third idea is to rent out an arcade or a Chuck E. Cheese and relive childhood birthday parties.

Make War Games

War games evolved out of military planning where commanders simulated battles on a map before committing to a strategy. Although the planning had deadly consequences on the battlefield, the act of playing out battles on a table top was fun. Once in the hands of civilians, war games gained rules and props, and grew more sophisticated. Warhammer and Axis & Allies are direct descendants of those table-top war games. You can develop your own war game.

Instructions

1. Decide on the number of players. The number of players will affect rules, pace of game play and the shape of the playing field. Consider existing table-top games: Chess is a classic two-player game; up to five players can play Axis & Allies. Rounds will last longer with more players (a round has passed when all players have taken a turn). Players take their turns one after another in war games. If each player takes a five-minute turn in a six-person game, the result would be 30-minute rounds. Each player would have to wait 25 minutes until his turn. Depending on how much happens during a round, the wait could be boring.

2. Set the scope of combat. Will game pieces represent soldiers or squads? D&D Minis has players control individual heroes and monsters; in Axis & Allies, a tank represents a whole armored division. The scope also plays into the setting of combat. Will players fight in a field like in Warhammer, or across continents like Axis & Allies? The scope will set your game pieces and playing field. Individual pieces work well in smaller venues, but imagine the annoyance of placing 5,000 pieces for a Roman legion.

3. Develop an overview of how combat will play out. Will one piece capture another, or must a piece be surrounded before capture? In Warhammer, dice are rolled to determine the results of a skirmish. War games typically avoid the combat-through-movement strategy of games such as chess in favor of context-based luck. Specific rules for combat can wait until later, but work out an idea as a guide.

4. Decide on how pieces are moved. Will pieces have fixed movements like in chess or will the movement be based on an assigned ability like in D&D Minis and Warhammer? Fixed movement works well in chess because of the confined board, but larger fields demand variable- or score-based movement. In D&D Minis, a "speed of 2" means that a piece can move up to two squares. Other pieces in D&D Minis have higher speed scores and can cover more squares in a turn. Some war games like Warhammer cite movement in inches since there is no obvious grid. There are also special rules in Warhammer for moving pieces as squads and regiment formations. You want a general idea of how players will move their pieces and how it is incorporated in their turn.

5. Determine the technology level of your war game. Axis & Allies takes place during World War II, so players control submarines, jets and tanks along with rifle-bearing infantry. Warhammer is set in a high-fantasy world, so the majority of combat is up close with some magic and catapult support. The technology level of your setting will guide your rules for weapon effectiveness and range. All of the armies of your war game should be close in technology to avoid unfair advantages.

6. Develop themes for player armies. The two sides in chess represent opposite armies, the armies of Warhammer represent species, and Axis & Allies pits nations against each other. A thrilling war game is one in which the players can identify with their army. Giving your armies personality will endear them to players.

7. Choose whether or not to create a hobby within a hobby. Axis & Allies uses small, plastic pieces with minimal details. Warhammer utilizes sculpted figurines that are meant to be painted. Many players have picked up Warhammer and other miniatures games because of the detailed models and the opportunity to paint them. However, some potential players are turned off by model building and painting. You do not have to sculpt incredible models to design a war game, but it is something to consider in development.

Building and painting miniatures is a hobby unto itself that could broaden the appeal of your game. However, sculpting is an art and takes a lot of time even for professionals. If you are not a skilled sculptor, take the opportunity to reach out and connect with someone who is, and is interested in developing a war game.

8. Decide whether to create a game with everything included or require players to collect and piece together armies. Axis & Allies can be played right out of the box. There are alternate models available, but they do not affect game play. Warhammer centers around collecting, building and painting miniatures with starter sets available as well. D&D Minis also has a collectible aspect, although its miniatures are already painted.

Encourage people to play your game, then present options to expand game play later. New war games have a better chance of success if they start out as self-contained sets. The time and money it would take to develop and release collectible miniatures could be too much of an up-front investment for you and the players.

9. Write rules for winning the game. Warhammer 40k has several victory conditions ranging from eliminating the opposing army to holding territory after a set number of rounds. Once you know where you are going, you can begin the journey to designing your war game.

10. Write the rules for the game. By now, you should have an idea of how you want pieces to move and attack. Develop the rules that govern actions in the game. Does the player roll dice and if so, how many times? Are coins involved or a system similar to paper-rock-scissors? Set up some stand-in game pieces then proceed with a mock battle. What do you want players to be able to do each turn? The core game play of war games involve fielding troops, movement and attack. The "attack" part of that triad is what will take the longest to develop. Start small then work outward.

Start with one soldier against another. What will represent Soldier A's attempt to kill Soldier B? Does Soldier B get a chance to react or will he have to wait his turn? Decide if the soldiers are by themselves or part of a larger squad. Does that squad receive additional bonuses for outnumbering the opposition? What other factors might affect battle?

Incorporate the rest of the field. Does the presence of certain units affect others? How far away can archers attack, and do they have to worry about hitting their allies? Test your rules as you write them. When you make additions or alterations, start small then work outward again to see how everything was affected by the change. You will not have a solid system on the first shot, so keep refining the rules until you have a war game that is fun to play and look at.

Set The Lpr On Etek Paintball Guns

A gas-powered Etek paintball gun (AKA paintball marker) can vary the velocity of the fired paintball capsule. To change the velocity, adjust the low pressure regulator (LPR) while shooting a marker. The procedure affects the tension of the springs inside the gun and does not require the use of any tools. The Etek's warranty is not voided by doing this.

Instructions

1. Put on the protective eyeglasses as a safety measure. Take your Etek paintball gun out to a shooting range. Stand at the firing line across from a target.

2. Bring the gun up to a firing position. Loosen the LPR knob at the bottom front of the gun by rotating it counterclockwise. Continue rotating the knob until it comes out of the gun.

3. Reinsert the knob into the gun. Rotate it three turns clockwise.

4. Insert the tip of a Phillips jeweler's screwdriver into the screw in the center of the knob. Rotate the screw a full turn clockwise.

5. Fire the gun. Note the strength of the impact at which the paintball capsule strikes the target. Rotate the screw one-quarter turn clockwise and fire again. Continue to do this until you are satisfied with the velocity of the gun.

6. Fire the gun another seven times at half-second intervals. Place the gun aside now that it has been adjusted. Remove the protective eyeglasses.

Sell Old Aluminum Scuba Tanks

Scuba tanks must be inspected to determine whether they can be sold for diving use or for scrap.

Scuba diving is a gear-intensive sport. Equipment upgrades often create the need to get rid of old gear. Most scuba gear is relatively straightforward to sell, but there is less guidance available for the sale of scuba tanks, which require periodic inspections. The condition of the tank will dictate whether it can be sold for diving or for scrap. To determine the status of an aluminum tank for diving is not a do-it-yourself activity, you will need to hire trained experts that use specific equipment for the task.

Instructions

Determine the status of the tank

1. Determine the dates of the most recent visual inspection and hydrostatic test of the cylinder. The most recent visual inspection date will be on a sticker on the tank. If the inspection was more than a year ago, then it needs a new inspection.

2. The date of the most recent hydrostatic test will be stamped into the metal of the tank. A test needs to be performed within the last five years to be considered current.

3. A tank that has been condemned will be stamped with an "x" to indicate that it is no longer safe for diving.

4. By now you've identified the condition of the tank and need to decide to sell it (1) as is with or without current inspection and test, (2) after first updating the tank to a current test and inspection, and (3) as is for scrap metal.

Selling a tank For diving

5. A tank with a current visual inspection and hydrostatic test date can be filled and used for diving. To sell the cylinder, try online postings, newspaper classified ads, bulletin boards at dive shops in the area, or local dive clubs and mention the current status of the tests.

6. If the visual inspection is older than a year, then you'll need to get the tank inspected at a local dive shop. The inspections are performed by a qualified Visual Inspection Program (VIP) technician, who checks the inside and outside of the tank for cracks, pitting and corrosion.

7. If the tank fails visual inspection from oxidation or corrosion, the dive shop can send the tank out to be "tumbled." The tank is partially filled with a cleaning solution and small, rough particles that slough oxidation off of the inside of the tank.

8. If the hydrostatic test was performed more than five years ago, a new "hydro" is required to assess the structural integrity of the tank. During the hydro, the tank is filled with water and overpressurized in a water chamber.

Selling a tank for scrap

9. If you don't want to go to the trouble of updating a tank with a current visual inspection and hydrostatic test or have a condemned tank, then you can sell it to a scrap metal dealer.

10. Take the cylinder outside or somewhere you can work without interrupting others. Emptying a cylinder will produce a loud hissing noise.

11. Empty the gas out of the cylinder by turning the knob to an open position. Leave it open until all the gas has drained out of the tank.

12. Remove the tank valve by unscrewing it from the tank neck. Keep the valve and sell or give it to a dive shop.

13. Deliver the empty cylinder without the value to a scrap metal dealer. They will typically pay by the pound for metal scrap.

Paint Face Masks

Simple, yet striking results can be achieved by using only two or three colors of paint when decorating masks.

Mask-making is fun for children and adults alike, and it is a great family project. Painting face masks can fit into most any holiday, from Mardi Gras masks to Easter bunny masks to Christmas elf masks. Mask blanks made of paper, pressed cardboard, plastic, foam and paper mache are readily available from arts and crafts retailers. All you need are a few simple, inexpensive materials and your imagination to create a painted face mask.

Instructions

Decorating the Face Mask

1. Prepare your work area by covering it with newspapers or plastic sheeting or repurpose an old shower curtain for a table covering. Fill a water bucket and have plenty of rags or paper towels for wiping up spills of water or paint. Set up brushes, paints and markers.

2. Prepare the mask blanks for painting by covering them with a coat of gesso. Plastic masks should be sprayed with a coat of plastic-fusion spray paint in white or black, or the plastic mask can be roughed up with a bit of sandpaper, then covered with gesso. Allow the prep coat to dry thoroughly.

3. Begin the decorative painting of the mask. It is helpful to find pictures of patterns, designs or specific types of masks --- for instance Northwestern American Indian or African masks --- to use as examples for your mask. Allow all painted decorations to dry. Tole, china, stencil and other painting techniques can be used to make your mask unique.

4. Spray the painted mask with two to three coats of clear acrylic spray paint, allowing each coat to dry one hour between coats. This step must be done outdoors or in a well-ventilated area to prevent adverse effects of paint fumes.

5. Further embellishing of the mask can be done by adding decoupage designs, glitter, feathers, sequins, gems or ribbons. Masks may be mounted on a handle for hand-carrying use. Elastic or ribbon may be added at the sides of the mask to tie the mask to the head. Masks may also be used for wall decorations by adding a hook or hanger on the back of the mask.

Clean An Apv Crossfire

The APV exhaust valves on your Crossfire snowmobile can become worn and dirty over time, requiring cleaning. Carbon deposits can build up on the valves, causing them to stick or operate inefficiently. The frequency at which you need to clean the APV exhaust valves will vary depending on driving conditions and the type of oil you use in your Crossfire's engine. Using basic hand tools and brake parts cleaner, you can help make your APV exhaust valves operate in a smooth manner again.

Instructions

1. Remove the plastic cover that sits on top of the APV valve's servomotors to gain access to the pulley mechanism that's used to open and close the valves during engine operation.

2. Remove the black steel cable of the APV valve assembly by pulling up on the retaining clip.

3. Pull the cable housing down to create some slack in the APV's wire-driven open and closing mechanism.

4. Remove the metric bolts that attach each valve to the exhaust cylinder. Clean the valves individually by spraying them with brake parts cleaner, then wiping them down. Use a wire brush to clean off any carbon deposits or dirt that may remain on the valves.

5. Reinstall each valve after you've cleaned, following the disassembly instructions in Step 4 to begin cleaning the next APV valve. Repeat this cleaning process until you've finished cleaning and reinstalling all of the APV exhaust valves.

How Old Do You Have To Be To Purchase An Air Soft Gun

Airsoft and paintball guns may have different legal status

Laws concerning Airsoft guns vary between states; in some cities, they're banned outright. Paintball guns are subject to different federal laws. At least one state, Illinois, treats both kinds of gun as "air rifles" or "air-guns."

National Law

Air-rifle sports can be dangerous. Wear eye protection at all times.

Federal law prohibits the sale of Airsoft guns to anyone under 18. There are no federal age restrictions on the use or possession of Airsoft guns, but local laws may apply. Sale, use, and possession of paintball guns is unrestricted under federal law.

Local Law

Airsoft guns are illegal in New York City, Chicago, San Francisco and Washington D.C. You must be 13 or older to buy a paintball gun in Illinois, and 18 or older in Delaware and New Hampshire. There may be additional city or county restrictions on paintball and Airsoft guns; check your local laws.

Warning

If questioned by police, immediately let them know if you have an air-gun

Many states and municipalities have restrictions on the transport, possession, sale and use of Airsoft guns. These restrictions may or may not apply to paintball guns as well. See Resources for details on finding local laws.

How Does The Paint Ball Gun & Tank Work

A paintball marker and tank.

Paintball has a popular recreational sport since the 1980s. It is usually enjoyed casually, played among a group of friends, but organized paintball tournaments are a popular way to participate in the sport. Paintball guns are referred to as "paintball markers" to distinguish paintball equipment from ordinary rifles and shotguns. Paintball markers also function differently than hard-projectile guns, using compressed gas, rather than gunpowder, to generate propulsion.

Paintballs

Surprisingly, paintballs do not contain paint. Paintballs consist of a soft gelatin coating surrounding a core mixture of vegetable oil and food coloring. The gelatin used to cover paintballs is the same type of gelatin found in jelly. Paintballs are produced by a manufacturing process similar to making vitamin capsules and beads, using much of the same equipment. Paintballs are nontoxic and biodegradable.

Paintball Marker Parts

The general framework of a paintball marker--a handle, barrel and trigger--is similar to a hard-projectile gun, but the similarities end there. In place of a clip or magazine to hold shells or bullets, a paintball marker features a large bowl-shaped feeder, also referred to as a hopper. The feeder stores unfired paintballs. A compressed-gas tank is attached to the paintball marker, supplying the marker with gas through an air line.

Propulsion Mechanics

After a paintball is fired, a new paintball drops into the marker from the feeder. The compressed gas in the tank pressurizes the marker. When the trigger is pulled, an internal hammer slides forward behind the pressurized chamber, sliding an exhaust valve into place over the chamber. The gas rushes out of the chamber and through the exhaust valve, propelling the paintball out of the barrel.

The Tank

Although carbon dioxide, or CO2, is commonly used for as the source of compressed gas, ordinary compressed air may also be used. Some paintball enthusiasts prefer compressed nitrogen to carbon dioxide, because nitrogen is a more stable element. Tank sizes vary from 4 ozs. to 20 ozs. A larger tank allows for longer play before refilling, but shouldn't increase the power of the gun. Most paintballs fire at 250 feet per second to 280 feet per second. Tournaments don't allow paintball velocities to exceed 300 feet per second.

Marker Types

Paintball markers come in a variety of shapes and sizes, but generally fall into one of two basic categories. Pump-action markers require a user to manually pump between shots to reload the next paintball and reset the hammer for firing. Pump-action markers are available in pistol and rifle shapes. Semiautomatic paintball markers automatically reload a paintball and reset the hammer mechanism after a shot. These markers can be refired simply by pulling the trigger.

Build Bunkers For Paintball Or Airsoft

Participating in paintball or Airsoft gun "war games" involves avoiding being hit by projectiles while firing at the "enemy." You can build a homemade bunker to protect your position from advancing troops. You will need a few supplies from a hardware store and a few common household tools. Check with the umpires of the "war game" before making your homemade bunker to ensure that using it doesn’t break any of the game’s rules.

Instructions

1. Stand a wooden pallet on its end. Measure down 10 inches from the top right edge of the wooden pallet. Make a mark with the pencil. Measure up 10 inches from the bottom right edge. Make a mark with the pencil.

2. Screw one side of a piano hinge to each of the marks on the right side of the wooden pallet with the electric screwdriver.

3. Stand the other wooden pallet on its end. Place the wooden pallet against the right side of the first wooden pallet.

4. Place the left side of the wooden pallet against the right side of the first wooden pallet.

5. Place the free sides of the piano hinges against the side of the second wooden pallet. Screw the piano hinges into the second wooden pallet with the electric screwdriver.

6. Angle the second wooden pallet at a 90-degree angle. Crouch down behind your homemade bunker. The angled side should be on your right.

Start A Personalized Stationary Business

Set up a stationary business.

In today's fast-paced world, people are often too busy to take the time to pay attention to detail. Everyone is in a rush, and the important things are often overlooked. When a birthday, holiday or even a wedding come around, the average person doesn't have the time to search for that perfect gift, card or invitation. Stopping at the local convenience store to quickly pick up a generalized item for this occasion is impersonal but not uncommon.

Instructions

1. Research the types of printing processes. Laser printing, letterpress, engraving, calligraphy and foil stamping are popular options. Also, it is important to test many textures and types of paper, such as matte, gloss, photographic, cotton, vellum, linen and recycled. Choose those that suit you best.

2. Create a business plan with goals. Where would you like your business to be in 5 years? Most lending institutions will require a business plan so that they know what you are going to do with the money before they lend to you.

3. Purchase the items you will need for your business. Equipment is the most important and biggest investment. You will need to have a computer, printer, letterpress, templates, stamps and embosser, depending on what type of stationary items you plan to sell. Also handy to have is packaging supplies, a digital camera and an answering system (or voicemail). Of course, you must have paper and ink. Purchase a graphic design software program to start creating your designs and ideas. Popular programs are Adobe Photoshop, Paintshop Pro and CorelDRAW Graphics Suite.

4. Create many samples of your work and a website. On the site, include an "About Me" page that includes the types of stationary that you offer. Upload photos of your samples. Make sure to include a privacy clause to ensure that the customer's information will always be handled with the utmost confidence. It is crucial to note that you can personalize your stationary to match a customer's specific needs.

5. Contact USPS, FedEx or UPS to determine costs and pick-up/delivery times. Set up an account, if possible, to guarantee fast, convenient shipping. You may be offered a discounted price for a bulk amount of orders.

6. Start advertising your business. You can place an ad in your local paper, Cragislist, eBay, Yellow Pages and Etsy.com, which is an online homemade goods marketplace. Always remember, your best customers will come from word-of-mouth and referrals, so excellent customer service will ensure that you are in business for many years to come.

Replace Dye I3 Lenses

Paintball enthusiasts usually wear masks like the Dye i3.

Paintball is a game in which players try to hit each other with round dye-filled capsules propelled from air guns. The capsules weigh only about 1/8 ounce but travel at up to 300 feet per second, so gloves and masks are standard equipment for players. Dye Matrix makes and sells paintball guns, loaders and other equipment including the i3 and i3 Pro paintball masks. The company recommends that players "immediately replace any lens that has taken a direct hit from 10 feet or closer."

Instructions

1. Peel the top of the rubber goggle frame up and away from the top lens tab of the old lens with your thumbs. The lens tab is under the logo. The lens attaches to the mask with 10 tabs on the edges of the lens.

2. Roll the goggle frame over all the tabs on the top of the lens. Pull the goggle frame out of all tabs and remove the lens.

3. Moisten the tabs on the new lens with water. Leave the protective film on new lenses during installation.

4. Pinch the nose portion of the goggle frame and insert the two nose tabs into the frame. Push the bottom tabs into the frame with your palm.

5. Push the right and left tabs into the rubber frame by pressing with your palm.

6. Roll your thumb from over each tab in the rubber frame. Ensure that each tab feels flush with the frame. Peel the protective coating from the lens.

Their sights are attached to the top of a rifle and have a wide glass lens, allowing the shooter to keep both eyes open during the firing of the weapon. Inside the lens is a red dot that only the shooter can see. Once correctly sighted in, the shooter only needs to place that dot on his target to make an accurate shot. EOTech sights have been adopted as standard equipment by the U.S. Special Operations Command, the State Department, the FBI, the special operations forces of many countries and many other entities, including individuals.

Instructions

1. Decide whether you need a holographic sight. While they are extremely accurate and difficult to damage, they are also a far cry from a traditional rifle optic. Traditional optic sights have magnification. The EOTech sight does not offer this as a standard feature, though it can be purchased for additional dollars. A traditional optic sight leaves little room for difficulty in placing the crosshairs on the target and generally requires the shooter to use only one eye. With an EOTech holographic sight the red dot can sometimes be difficult to see. Proper positioning of the eye in relation to the EOTech sight is essential.

2. Know the purpose for the rifle and optic. The buyer must have an accurate picture of the intended use of the holographic sight: EOTech offers different sights for military use, police forces and hunting. The features and benefits of each different model are customized to the end user. Prices vary greatly depending on the model chosen.

3. Choose the correct EOTech model. Does the user need night vision compatibility? Will magnification be required? Two different mounts are available for the magnification, one easy to modify for close-range shooting and the other taking some time to adjust. The power of the magnification, either 3X or 4X, affects price, as does the type of magnification mount chosen. Another issue in picking a model is deciding on the type of battery that operates the sight. Several models require batteries that may require some work to find. Other models use AA batteries, which are easily purchased.

The EOTech website (see Resources) offers a four-step questionnaire to help the buyer narrow the list of choices.

Airsoft Gun Laws & Regulations

Airsoft is an exciting, fast-growing sport that lets you and your friends shoot it out with safe, authentic-looking guns. Unfortunately, those authentic looking guns carry some unique risks of their own, and several laws and regulations have been put into place to address those risks.

Licensing and Minimum Age

In the United States, there is no license required to purchase or own an Airsoft gun. There are, however, age restrictions that may bar some minors from purchasing guns or equipment. Some states and cities make it illegal for anyone younger than18 to purchase or own an Airsoft gun, while others may require the signature of a parent or guardian before selling to anyone younger than 18. While these restrictions may vary from state to state, or even store to store, it's always a good idea to have an adult present if the buyer is younger than 18.

Visual Identifiers

Federal law requires the barrel of any replica gun or similar toy to be marked with a bright orange tip. This highly visible marking is used to prevent people from confusing Airsoft guns with real firearms.

Many online retailers selling guns manufactured outside of the United States will not have these orange tips. While it is legal in some states to own an unmarked gun, owners should be aware that the display or use of these guns may carry heavy penalties.

In some parts of the country, such as New York, Airsoft guns are required by law to be visually distinct and easily distinguishable from real firearms. For this reason, many manufacturers and retailers offer guns made of clear or brightly colored plastic.

Use and Display

Many states and cities have also enacted laws restricting the use and display of Airsoft guns. These restrictions may limit use to private property, or ban any use within city limits. Some states have stiff penalties for using or displaying guns in public places. You should always find out what the laws are in your locale.

Airsoft and Crime

If an Airsoft gun is used in committing a crime, the law will make no differences between replicas and real firearms. If you chose to threaten someone with anything that resembles a gun, you will be punished and risk being shot by law enforcement.

Safety Regulations

For safety reasons, there are limits on a gun's firepower. Generally speaking, indoor use is restricted at 300 to 350 feet per second, and outdoor use is slightly higher at 350 to 400 feet per second. These limited speeds make for safer play, keeping pellets from breaking the skin and causing injury.

All organized Airsoft groups and playing fields will also require the use of some safety equipment. At a minimum, this will include shatterproof goggles to protect the eyes. It's not uncommon for groups to also require face protection. Sometimes this means wearing a full face paintball mask, but other times it may merely require a balaclava or similar covering.

Search For The Best Airsoft Gun

Airsoft guns are sometimes used for realistic combat play.

Airsoft guns are not characterized as a toy gun but are actually a type of pellet gun. They are relatively safe for children to operate, while still providing enough impact to spur an adrenaline rush during game play. While kids enjoy airsoft guns, they are also owned and operated by adults who enjoy combat play as a hobby. Many different types of airsoft guns exist, with each being more ideal for different situations.

Instructions

1. Make a list of how you plan to use the airsoft gun. The best airsoft gun for combat play may be different from the best gun for collecting. Include both categories if you both play and collect.

2. Write down the features that are important to you under each category. Different play scenarios might favor accuracy over range, while the opposite could also be true. Collectors tend to want a realistic look to the gun.

3. Browse online shops that sell airsoft guns. Categorize each gun by type and price. Next to each option, make a list of all the features you desire in the best airsoft gun. Place a check next to every feature that particular gun offers that matches your criteria.

4. Assess your budget and develop a realistic price range to get the most features for your money.

5. Visit a hardware or sports shop and handle the best airsoft guns on your list. Make note of the weight, grip and other things that will affect the actual use of the gun.

6. Borrow or rent the top models that are on your paper from a friend or a sporting goods shop that offers that service. Spend a weekend using the guns and comparing the features when in play.

7. Circle your top picks on the paper based upon the comparison process. These are the best airsoft guns for your needs.

8. Check the price for the pellets on each of your top picks. If all other factors are equal, select the airsoft gun that is tooled for accuracy with less expensive airsoft pellets.

Make Airsoft Bbs

Make Airsoft BBs

Airsoft guns are noted for the variety of projectiles that they can fire. Make your own exploding airsoft projectiles from a few household items commonly found around the house. Your exploding airsoft BBs will simulate the effect of high-caliber exploding shells, although they will be nowhere near as powerful as the real thing. Making your own exploding airsoft BBs will personalize your airsoft gun and make it stand out the next time a group of airsoft enthusiasts gathers to compare the firepower of their weapons.
