Team Outing Ideas

Get employees out of the office by organizing a team outing.

Say thank you to your employees with some time out of the office together. Positive relationships built while in the office help productivity and enhance bonds between co-workers. There are several options for team outings that can be held indoors or coordinated as an outdoor event. Planning a team outing encourages inter-office support and nurtures staff relationships.

Bowling

Organize a group outing at the local bowling alley. Mixing staff together, where some folks may enjoy one another's company and some may not, is a great way for building team spirit. Playing on a team where everyone has the same goal teaches employees about beginning a project and finishing one together.

Paintball

Plan a day or an afternoon where everyone can compete in a friendly game of paintball out of the office. Paintball provides a perfect opportunity for employees to work together as a team if they want first place. You can have several teams or just two depending on how many employees play. Paintball requires that players be proactive and use strategy every step of the way.

Sports Events

If the company budget allows, purchase tickets so everyone on the team can attend a sporting event, such as a baseball, football or hockey game. Some arenas offer discounts when arranging for a group. Going together as a group to cheer on the local team is exciting for employees and allows them time for being social outside of the office.

Informal Happy Hour

Sponsoring a happy hour at the end of a long work week serves as a stimulating reward for team members. Find a spot close by the office so employees can walk together to the location. Reserve a private room, if one is available, for privacy. Arrange a variety of appetizers for snacking as well as drink specials, and take this time for recognition of team members that are doing excellent work.

Types Of 9mm Handguns

The 9mm is a very commonly used weapon worldwide.

Handguns are frequently used for self-defense and are also carried by military and law enforcement officers when in the field. Handguns are convenient to carry, easy to conceal and can be reloaded quickly when needed. The 9mm is one of the most popular semiautomatic handguns in the world. There are many different makes and models of 9mm weapons for professional law enforcement or your private use.

9mm Kurz

The 9mm Kurz is known as a 9mm Short. It is useful for firing indoors when ear protection is not available. While the weapon still has the potential to cause hearing damage when discharged, its noise and recoil are considerably less than many other 9mm models. The 9mm Kurz will not penetrate body armor. Hollow-point ammunition is recommended if the gun is used for hunting or self-defense. The gun is suitable to stop animals under 50 pounds at close range.

9mm Parabellum

The 9mm Parabellum is also known as the 9mm Luger or the 9mm NATO. It is the most commonly used military sidearm in the world. The high sales volume of the weapon makes ammunition much cheaper and easier to get. This model will penetrate some body armor but, like most 9mm designs, lacks the stopping power that larger-caliber weapons deliver. Using special ammunition can offset this somewhat, but standard ammo should be sufficient for animals up to 150 pounds at close range. The recoil of the gun can be substantial.

CZ-75B

CZ weapons are built by a Czech company. They have been imported into the United States ever since the fall of the Soviet Union. The CZ-75B is a 9mm gun known for cost-effectiveness. It is usually one of the lower-priced 9mm models on the market and has a reliable reputation. It was designed as a military sidearm and has a simple design without any peripherals. The gun is made out of steel and is usually coated in black polymer finish. The standard grip is hard plastic but rubber covers can be added for more comfortable handling. The gun has very good accuracy and can fire multiple brands of ammo without jamming.

How Does An Electric Paintball Hopper Work

Paintballs

Electric paintball hoppers are an integral part of your paintball gun setup. These hoppers agitate and move paintballs, resulting in a higher rate of fire. Shooting a paintball gun quickly without an electric hopper will result in jams and broken paintballs. When you purchase a hopper for your paintball gun, purchase one that has the fastest loading speed while staying in your price range.

Function

Paintball hoppers attach to the feed neck on the top of the paintball gun. They typically hold about 200 paintballs and feed paintballs as you need them. Once the paintballs are emptied, hoppers are easy to refill by simply lifting the cover on the top and loading more paintballs. Without the use of a hopper, a paintballer would have to constantly reload paintballs into the feed neck of the gun.

Power Source

Electric hoppers use 12V batteries. These batteries provide a steady stream of current to allow the internal parts to move the paintballs. These batteries typically last several games, but it depends on the brand of hopper that you use and the amount of paintballs that you shoot each game.

Agitation

Some electric hoppers agitate the balls to increase feed rate. These hoppers have propeller-shaped objects located next to the feed tube that spin around every time the paintball gun is fired. This propeller pushes around the paintballs inside the hopper and this prevents paintballs from getting clogged up. These hoppers are good for about 10 balls per second.

Force Feed

Force feed electric hoppers actually force paintballs through the feed tube. Every time the paintball gun is fired, these hoppers turn on and push a paintball down the feed neck. These hoppers are some of the more expensive hoppers on the market and usually have a feed rate of 10 to 20 balls per second.

Warp Feed

Warp feed hoppers are the most expensive hoppers on the market. These hoppers push paintballs into the feed neck of the paintball gun similar to a force feed hopper. However, the key difference is that warp feed hoppers are placed on the side of the paintball gun and have a soft flexible piece of tubing that attaches to the feed neck. Warp feed hoppers first feed paintballs up the tube, then down into the gun. These hoppers can maintain a feed rate of 20 balls per second.

Make An Automatic Bb Gun

An automatic BB gun, also known as a pneumatic BB gun, differs from the traditional spring piston BB gun; a BB gun with a spring piston has a barrel that pivots and is manually operated through a lever that causes the piston to move. When the piston moves, the mainspring is compressed, and the trigger is used to release the compressed mainspring. The BB is then expelled. In contrast, an automatic BB gun is a gun that uses compressed air to expel the BB projectile. You can construct a single-stroke automatic BB gun at home in 20 minutes.

Instructions

The Process

1. Drill a hole directly in the center of the 1/2-inch plastic cap using the 1/4 drill bit.

2. Prime the exterior of the 2-1/2-inch piece of 1.5-inch pipe and the interior of the 1-1/2 plastic adapter. Spread glue inside the adapter where it has been primed. Glue the exterior of the 2-1/2-inch piece of pipe; insert the 2-1/2-inch long piece of plastic pipe into the 1/2-inch plastic adapter.

3. Glue on the interior of the 1/2-inch cap. Place the cap on the exposed end of the 1-1/2-inch plastic pipe adapter. Squeeze the 2-1/2-inch plastic pipe section and the 1/2 plastic cap together tightly so that the seams meet.

4. Drill a hole at the ridge of the 1-1/2-inch plastic adapter using the 1/8-inch drill bit; make the hole so that it goes into the center of the connected plastic pieces, but not through it. Apply Teflon tape to the 1/8-inch plastic nipple and screw the nipple into the front of the blowgun.

5. Apply Teflon tape to the 3/8-inch plastic nipple and screw the nipple into the front part of the blowgun. Apply Teflon tape to the quick connect and insert into the back end of the blow gun.

6. Attach the blow gun to the plastic pipe construction where you drilled the hole, twisting the blowgun and attached components.

7. Sand the surface of the cap with the 1/4-inch hole. Slip the 24-inch brake line through the hole; be sure to push the line all the way through until the end of the line stops just before the hole inside the interior of the cap. Use JB weld to fix the line into position.

8. Load BB rounds into the back of the device and seal off with the threaded cap. Hook to your air compressor.

Purchase A Gun From A Private Seller From One State To Another

It is legal to purchase a gun over the Internet as long as all federal laws are followed.

In 1938, Congress passed the Federal Firearms Act, which set up a system of authorized firearm dealers. Those who obtained a Federal Firearm License became known as FFLs. In 1968, Congress, through the Gun Control Act, prohibited individuals from privately purchasing firearms across state lines. An FFL in the buyer's home state must handle the transfer from the owner to the buyer.

Instructions

1. Contact a Federal Firearms License dealer. Make arrangements for the FFL to receive the firearm from the seller. The FFL decides whether or not to accept the firearm and how much he will charge the buyer for doing so. If he chooses to accept the firearm, the FFL provides the seller with a copy of his federal license.

2. Transfer the firearm to the FFL. This is the responsibility of the out-of-state owner after he negotiates with the FFL the method of receiving payment for the firearm. Shipping might be overnight with major carriers, or personally transported if distance allows. The FFL logs the firearm into his books.

3. Fill out Federal Form 4473 at the gun store. This form attests that you are not a criminal and have nothing in your background that should keep you from owning a firearm.

4. Pay fees. The FFL needs to be paid for the cost of the firearm, tax and any transfer fee.

Refill Hpa Air Tanks

Some paintball guns use HPA tanks to propel the paintballs.

High-pressure air tanks are used in paintball guns as an alternative to C02. Paintball guns with HPA tanks can be refilled at an HPA refill station. These refill stations are sometimes set up to fill both nitrogen and compressed air. It is important to follow the proper procedures when filling an HPA tank to avoid damaging the tank or causing injury.

Instructions

1. Remove the nipple cover from the fill nipple on the HPA tank.

2. Pull the collar cover of the refill line down and attach the collar to the fill nipple. Release the collar cover so the collar can lock into place over the fill nipple. Make sure the connection is secure by gently tugging on the refill line.

3. Hold on to the refill line directly below the nipple connection. Press the button on the fill station to turn it on.

4. Let go of the button when the pressure gauge reaches the correct amount of pressure for your HPA tank. Some HPA fill station tanks automatically stop when the appropriate amount of air pressure is achieved.

5. Pull the collar cover down to release the connection from the fill nipple. Remove the fill line from the HPA tank. Replace the nipple cover on the fill nipple.

Make A Vest For Airsoft

Most Airsoft vests are simply tactical combat vests. They usually do not offer much padding for the user--except for the gear that is in it. This project is a vest that not only can reduce the pain to the user when hit, but also can be modified to carry gear.

Instructions

1. Take measurements for your vest. Measure the circumference of your chest (at the nipples) and stomach (at the belly button). Also measure the length of your trunk, front and back, including any curves that need to be considered. Include your shoulders in the measurement of your trunk.

2. Cut a piece of cardboard according to the measurements but twice as long as your trunk. Cut a hole in the center of the cardboard like a poncho. Make the hole the size of your neck. Make a slit on one shoulder to make the hole big enough to slip your head through. Apply duct tape to reinforce the edges of the cardboard, including the slit in the shoulder to prevent the cardboard from tearing.

3. Drill five holes with your knife into the cardboard on both sides of the slit. Lace a shoelace to close the slit on the shoulder, reinforcing the holes with duct tape. Leave a gap in the tape on the side of the shoelace and a small slit so that the cardboard can rip if needed. Do the same thing on the sides of the cardboard poncho, but leave the laces loose enough so that you can still move.

4. Cut a strip of cardboard as wide as the ammunition tubes. Make the strip as long as the combined circumferences of each tube, multiplied by two. Use rubber bands to fix the tubes to the strip and use a hot glue gun to seal the strip to the vest around the stomach.

5. Use the hot glue gun to make a pouch out of cardboard. The pouch should be a cube you glue together from cardboard. Make the top flap longer so that it folds over the front. Glue a magnet to the end of the cardboard flap and another magnet to the place where the first magnet touches when the flap closes. The two magnets need to be oriented with sides that attract each other.

6. Paint your vest. Spray paint to cover your entire vest loam green and wait for it to dry. Get branches from a tree. Place the branch on the vest at various locations and spray light tan and other colors over it to get the pattern of the leaves and branches to alter the vest. Allow the paint to dry.

Properly Clean A Gun

Properly Clean a Gun

In order to keep your gun in tiptop shape and ensure it shoots perfectly for years to come you will need to clean it properly and regularly. Gun powder, grease, and other types of grime can end up damaging your gun beyond repair. To clean your gun correctly you will need cleaning supplies, most of which you can find around the house.

Instructions

1. Unload the gun and place the ammunition in a safe place. This is one of the most important steps in giving your gun a proper cleaning, and this step is essential to ensuring your own safety while you clean the gun. Place the bullets in a safe, secure location away from the gun.

2. Get a bore brush and gun-cleaning solvent, available at any outdoors store (see Resources). Dip the bore brush in the solvent.

3. Stick the bore brush down into the barrel of the gun. The brush will automatically twist and turn according to the rifling of your gun barrel.

4. Take a cleaning patch and dip it into some of the solvent. Feed the patch deep into the barrel of the gun. Use a few drying patches to soak up the excess solvent in the barrel.

5. With a soft clean cloth put a small amount of gun oil on the rag. Take the rag and wipe the entire exterior of the gun except for the hand grips on the handle. The gun oil will give your gun a polished shiny look.

6. Grab a second cloth and wipe away the excess oil on the gun.

Put Together A Freak Jr Paintball Barrel

Improve your paintball play with equipment upgrades.

Paintball is one of the fastest-growing extreme sports of the past decade. After enjoying minimal popularity during the 1980s and 90s, the entrance of high-quality equipment and professional teams in the early 2000s created a surge in popularity and participation. Since every player shoots the same .68 caliber paintball, the differences in player accuracy lie in two areas: experience and the quality of gear. The paintball marker barrel is one of the easiest upgrades, offering immediate improvement to the marker's accuracy.

Instructions

Selecting Equipment

1. By upgrading the paintball marker barrel, the player can significantly improve the accuracy of the paintball marker. The Freak Jr. and Freak paintball marker barrel kits are moderately priced, multi-piece, high-performance kits. By adjusting the internal size of the barrel, a player will improve the accuracy of the paintball projectile.

2. Select the front and back of the Freak kit, which are threaded to the brand of marker. When arriving at a paintball field, set aside the barrel and the three internal sleeves of the Freak Jr. barrel kit until after purchasing the paintballs to be used for the day.

3. Examine the internal sleeves to the Freak barrel kit, and determine which sleeve most closely fits the size of the purchased paintballs. The paintball's actual size will vary by manufacturer, temperature and humidity on the day. Drop two or three paintballs individually through each of the colored sleeve inserts. The paintball should drop through the sleeve without binding and without showing excessive air space between the ball and the sleeve. Select the sleeve that is most closely sized to the purchased paintball.

4. Insert the colored sleeve into the back of the Freak Jr. barrel kit. Thread the front and back of the barrel together. Make sure the parts are only hand-tight, and do not overtighten. Thread the barrel onto the paintball marker.

Prime An Rc Nitro

Nitro-powered RC vehicles and airplanes use a special blend of glow fuel that incorporates a mix of methanol, nitro methane and oil additives. While typical nitro-powered RC cars feature a single-cylinder two-stroke engine, certain RC model airplanes may accommodate multi-cylinder four-stroke engines as well. Before you attempt to start a nitro-powered RC vehicle or plane, you may wish to prime the engine's fuel system first. Priming the fuel system will allow the engine to start more readily while reducing additional wear and tear on the starting components.

Instructions

Nitro-Powered RC Vehicles

1. Fill the fuel tank with glow fuel using a suitable filling container. Clean up any fuel spills before attempting to start the engine.

2. Cover the exhaust pipe opening with your thumb and engage the engine's pull start mechanism several times.

3. Continue to engage the pull start mechanism until the fuel visible in the fuel line reaches the engine's carburetor. Set the engine's throttle arm to the full-throttle position to expedite the priming process, if needed.

4. Remove your thumb from the exhaust opening and rotate the throttle arm to the idle position before starting the engine.

Nitro-Powered RC Model Airplanes

5. Fill the fuel tank with glow fuel using a suitable filling container. Clean up any fuel spills before attempting to start the engine.

6. Rotate the engine's throttle arm to the full-throttle position.

7. Cover the carburetor opening with your thumb while rotating the propeller clockwise. Continue rotating the propeller until the fuel visible in the fuel line reaches the carburetor. Once the fuel reaches the carburetor, rotate the propeller one full revolution and remove your thumb from the carburetor opening.

8. Restore the throttle arm to the idle position before starting the engine.

Disassemble A 9 Mm Sten Gun

The first iteration of the Sten 9 mm submachine gun

The 9 mm Sten gun was an odd-looking submachine gun used by British forces throughout much of World War II and the Korean War. The weapon itself is little more than a barrel attached to a removable stock and a trigger, with the magazine coming straight out from the side of the barrel at a 90-degree angle. These weapons were inexpensive to produce and simple to break down into their component parts.

Instructions

1. Remove the magazine from the side of the weapon and rack back the charging handle to ensure no live rounds are loaded in the firing chamber.

2. Press in the locking stud located at the rear of the barrel, then pull the stock backwards and off the weapon.

3. Press the stud in again and rotate it clockwise until you feel it release.

4. Pull the stud backwards out of the receiver, along with the recoil spring.

5. Pull the bolt handle back until it is aligned with the safety notch, then pull the bolt handle straight out of the receiver.

6. Pull the trigger to free up the bolt assembly, then pull the entire assembly back out of the hole in the back of the receiver.

7. Pull the locking pin in front of the magazine well down. This will release the magazine well.

8. Turn the magazine well upward and unscrew the barrel shroud -- the piece just in front of the magazine well. The Sten is now completely disassembled into its component parts.

Prevent Your Eyeglasses From Fogging Up

Fogging glasses can be a major issue for people with serious vision impairment

For anyone who relies upon eyeglasses for everyday vision, the problem of fogging is a common and well-known nuisance. In cold weather, the effectiveness of eyeglasses is often rendered null through fogging, with moisture droplets collecting on lenses and obscuring sight. To prevent this from happening to you, adjust the conditions that cause fogging or treat your glasses to keep water from collecting upon them. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Position winter clothing to prevent fogging. If you struggle with glasses fogging due to the heat and moisture of your own breath during cold winter weather, check to see if any winter clothing is directing air from your nose and mouth up to your eyes. Remove scarves or winter face masks that are wrapped so that the air is escaping out and upward, or rewrap them so that the air escapes downward. Alternately, wear a scarf with a coarse enough weave that air can escape through the knitting itself.

2. Transition from cold to hot areas gradually; fogging happens because water molecules in the air are attracted to a hard surface that's much colder than the ambient temperature. In buildings, stand near doorways or inside walkways where the air will be cooler than inside, but warmer than outside. Wait for a minute or two, then go in; the gradual transition will keep the glasses from fogging. If riding in a car, let it heat gradually. (Though this is generally less practical than simply removing your glasses to wipe them, it's a good solution for times when your hands aren't free.)

3. Coat your glasses with a solution of three parts water, one part white vinegar. Rub the solution on both sides of your eyeglass lenses and let dry (do not rinse or wipe away).

4. Treat your glasses with commercially made anti-fogging solution. This is an inexpensive liquid that comes in a portable pump spray bottle. Spray on both sides of the lenses to coat them, then let dry. Carry the bottle with you to reapply as needed.

Mongoose Paintball Gun Instructions

Mongoose paintball guns should be used in accordance to the rules of the playing field.

The Mongoose paintball gun, also known as a marker, is an air gun that uses gas, such as compressed air, to force paintballs through the barrel to fire at an opposing team when playing paintball. Mongoose paintball guns are created by Diablo Paintball. The Mongoose paintball gun has a 21-ball per second cycling rate, making it the fastest paintball gun for its price range of $100 to $200. The Mongoose paintball gun should be handled in a safe manner at all times. Like a real gun, it can accidentally fire, causing injuries and accidents.

Instructions

Battery Installation

1. Turn off the Mongoose paintball gun by switching the On/Off switch on the left side of the marker to "Off."

2. Unscrew the three Grip Panel Screws and open the battery compartment. Remove the old battery and insert a new 9 volt battery.

3. Move the On/Off switch to "On" and look for the LED light to come on. The light indicates that the battery is good and installed correctly.

4. Turn the gun back "Off" and put the battery compartment door back on. Replace the three Grip Panel Screws. Make sure you do not pinch any wires when replacing the compartment door, as this could cause damage to the lines leading to the circuit board.

Loading and Firing Paintballs

5. Push the On/Off switch to "Off".

6. Open the cap to the hopper. The hopper is the plastic container that holds the paintballs. Fill the hopper with paintballs and close the lid tightly.

7. Increase or decrease the velocity of the paintballs by turning the Velocity Adjuster clockwise to increase and counter-clock wise to decrease. Check with the employees of the range you will be playing on to find out what the required velocity is. Never fire paintballs at a velocity in excess of 300 feet per second. This is dangerous and can cause damage to the gun.

8. Switch the gun to the "On" position, aim the barrel at the target and pull the firing trigger to shoot. Return the gun to the "Off" position when done playing and hold the gun so that the hopper is upside down. This will help to ensure that paintballs are not accidentally fired.

Prepare For Air Force Sniper Training

The Air Force has its own security forces whose mission is to protect vital Air Force resources such as aircraft, bases and fellow Airmen. Part of this protection may need to include the ability to find and remove enemy snipers. Because of this, the Air Force is willing to have counter-snipers that are specially trained to complete this task. This article will describe what an Airman should do to prepare for Air Force Sniper Training.

Instructions

Prepare for Air Force Sniper Training

1. Get in Army shape. The Air Force does have fitness standards, but the Army is doing most of the military's sniper training. Therefore, it is required that you meet its fitness standards, which are similar in form but are more stringent for passing. For example, you must score at least 50 points in each event to pass. A male between 22 and 26 years old would have to complete the 2-mile run in at least 17 minutes and 36 seconds.

2. Slow down your heart rate by adjusting various aspects of your lifestyle. This could include removing caffeine from your diet, getting regular exercise (like in Step 1), and generally reducing your stress levels. Yoga and deep breathing exercises might assist you. The more calm your heart rate, the better you'll be able to hit your target in one shot during sniper school.

3. Join a shooting range and practice your rifle shooting skills. It's good to start with the very fundamentals of shooting and different shooting positions. Air Force sniper students can expect to lie in prone position in not-so-comfortable spots as they learn to spot enemy snipers.

4. Acclimate to shooting in different kinds of weather. Just like the real world, war zone temperatures aren't always room temperature with low humidity. Air Force snipers may face the dry, cold air of the mountains or the desert heat of Iraq. Sniper school is year round as well, so you could find yourself training in similar conditions. The better you learn to shoot in various climates, the less shock your body will face in them.

5. Learn to create mental maps of your surroundings. A significant factor in Air Force Counter-sniper training is the ability to quickly spot the enemy sniper. This can be done through analysis and memorization of their possible hiding spots. Your chances of success in school can be increased if you've already trained your mind to heighten your awareness of your surroundings.

Install A New Hvac Condenser Unit

HVAC condenser units allow people to be comfortable in their homes. Using refrigerant, they pull the heat and humidity out of the air and return nice, dry, and cool air. Most of the time it is best to have a professional heating and air conditioning technician install a new HVAC condenser unit. You need a special refrigerant certification to handle and install the refrigerant that goes into condenser units. If you have this certification, however, you can install an HVAC condenser unit yourself. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Select an appropriate location for your HVAC condenser unit. Look for a spot that is strong enough to support the unit and allows the unit to be serviced easily. Level the unit and place on treated lumber or steel framing. Anchor the unit down to prevent the unit from shifting during operation.

2. Inspect the unit and ensure no components have come loose during shipment. Check all bolts, electrical connections, etc.

3. Properly size all copper tubing using a line chart. Install and braze the copper tubing for the liquid and suction lines. When brazing, flow an inert gas like nitrogen through the lines to prevent scale and oxidation in the lines. The copper tubing will hook up from the condensing unit outside to the evaporator coil on the indoor unit. Secure and support all lines with copper pipe straps. The smaller the pipe, the more straps you will need.

4. Leak-check the unit by opening all service valves and pressuring the unit to 150 PSI with dry nitrogen. Let the unit sit for several hours. If you notice the pressure has dropped, leak-test all connections and joints with soap bubbles.

5. Insulate all copper tubing with Armaflex pipe insulation (see Reference 2). If lines are not insulated, this will cause possible unit malfunction and sweating of the copper lines. This insulation cuts very easily with a utility knife and self-adheres together.

6. Release the nitrogen pressure out of the lines and start evacuating the lines. This is done by hooking the refrigerant gauges up to the high and low side and starting the vacuum pump. This removes all contaminants out of the lines by essentially pulling all air and moisture out.

7. Wire the unit up to the electrical panel by consulting the individual unit's wiring diagram and local electrical codes.

8. Charge with refrigerant. Different units use different types of refrigerant, so ensure you are using the right type by consulting the installation manual that came with your unit. Each installation manual will have a chart with how much refrigerant to put in, which depends on unit size and length of copper tubing.

9. Hook up refrigerant gauges and amperage meter. Set the room thermostat to the desired setting and turn the power on to the unit. Observe high and low side pressures as well as temperatures. Verify these are in the operational range as determined by the installation manual. If not, add or remove refrigerant as necessary to achieve the correct readings.

Polish Gun Parts

Keep your guns cleaned and polished.

After years of use--for some, only a few months--guns can start to look old, tarnished and unattractive. Whether you're an avid hunter, police officer or just exercising the Second Amendment, cleaning and polishing your fire-arms should be done once to twice a year. Cleaning the gun will help it work and function properly. Polishing the gun will keep it looking like new. Just a few simple items and some gun polish is all you need to restore your gun.

Instructions

1. Unload your gun. Ensure there are no bullets left in the revolver, and completely remove the gun's magazine. Never clean or polish a loaded gun. Keep the safety on at all times while cleaning the gun.

2. Remove any dirt, dust and debris from the gun using a small air compressor. These are often used for cameras or computers, but they can also be used for guns. Squeeze the top of the compressor to release small blasts of air. This will help to remove any loose debris from the gun.

3. Dry-clean the gun using a clean toothbrush. A small toothbrush will come in handy for hard-to-reach spots. Scrub the entire gun before moving on.

4. Prepare your cleaning rod. Cleaning rod kits will come with several-sized attachments and cleaning pads. Choose the largest attachment that will fit down the barrel of the gun, then attach a cleaning pad to it. Slide the gun cleaning rod down the barrel of the gun and pull it back out. Change the cleaning pad to a new one and repeat. Do this until the clean pads come out clean. You can also add a gun cleaning solvent to the pad if necessary.

5. Apply a small amount of gun polish to the gun--or to the toothbrush. Never use any regular polish or too much polish. They can cause the gun to malfunction. Use the toothbrush to spread the polish along the entire gun. Gun polish will not only make the gun look like new, it will also prevent rust and tarnish.

6. Buff the gun using a lint-free cloth. This will remove excess polish and will bring the gun to a shine.

7. Lubricate the gun if, necessary, by adding a very small drop of oil to the trigger--or other moving parts of the gun. Wipe the oil off using another lint-free cloth.

Put A Rip Clip On Sp1

The Rip Clip holds your paintball ammo.

Members of the paintball world have plenty of paintball guns, accessories and equipment to choose from. If you have taken a liking to the Rip Clip paintball loader, you may be wondering install it on your SP-1 paintball gun. The SP-1 is not specifically designed to carry the Rip Clip, but there is a way to affix this aftermarket option. You will have to remove the existing feedtube and make a new hole that will fit with your Rip Clip.

Instructions

1. Put on eye protection.

2. Take the SP-1 and Rip Clip apart. If the Rip Clip is difficult to take apart, use a flat-head screwdriver to tighten the screws slightly in a clockwise manner to break the adhesive or Loctite bond. Remove the screws in a counterclockwise manner. Also use the screwdriver to loosen the middle of the SP-1 right back rail if it gives you a hard time. Consult the SP-1 owner's manual if you have any questions on the parts or removal process.

3. Find the feedneck on the top of your SP-1 and cut it off with a hacksaw. This is the cylindrical section that sticks out from the top of your rail. The cut should be flush with the bottom of the feedneck, where it meets the rail.

4. Use a Dremel tool with a diamond-coated sanding disc and sand down the rough edges of the cut. The end result should be a smooth area where you cut the feedneck off.

5. Grab the SP-1 tube that you removed from the body when you disassembled it, wet it slightly with water and place it into the SP-1 body. You should be able to see the tube through the feedneck hole you have been working on.

6. Mix your plastic cement according to the product instructions. Always read the entire user instructions and warnings before beginning.

7. Grab a ball of the cement and gently place it into the feedneck hole. Smooth the plastic cement out so the cement covers the hole and the top sits flush with the rest of the body. The cement is covering the hole and making the body a uniform shape. Do not push the cement very hard into the hole; only work with gentle pressure. Allow the cement to dry according to the instructions.

8. Grab your Rip Clip and position it on the side of the rail, right below the cemented hole. Use a pencil to mark where the new feeding hole needs to be on the rail. Mark the whole perimeter of the new feeding hole so you know how big to make it.

9. Use a drill to make a new feeding hole. Make a slightly angled hole with a smaller drill bit to use as a guide. Find the drill bit that fits the mark you made and drill a hole through the rail side, just enough to penetrate all the way through.

10. Place the metal tube into the SP-1 body where it would normally go and use a pencil to mark where the newly cut hole is. This will indicate where you need to cut a hole on the metal tube. Make sure you get the perimeter of the hole drawn well onto the tube.

11. Use the Dremel and a carbon head to cut the marked hole. You will have to put the tube into the SP-1, check the hole, take it out, cut and repeat until the hole is sufficiently cut. Don't overcut, and avoid cutting the O-rings that are present on the tube.

12. Rinse all parts of your SP-1 that have shaving from the cuts you have made with water. Dry with a lint-free cloth.

13. Loosen the thumb nuts on the Rip Clip in a counterclockwise direction. These two nuts are found on the backside of the Rip Clip. Position the Rip Clip onto the rail, left side first. Slide it forward until the feedholes match up. Tighten the thumb nuts until snug.

Import Airsoft To Canada

Airsoft weapons are extremely difficult to get past Canadian customs.

It is extremely difficult to import airsoft guns into Canada as an individual. Airsoft retailers must purchase Business Firearms Licenses in order to import their merchandise. The cost and red tape involved in acquiring a business license puts it out of reach for most Canadians. Airsoft guns are legally considered replica firearms in Canada under the Canada Firearms Act. Replica firearms are considered "prohibited devices" under the Act and cannot officially be imported into Canada by individuals. However, this policy is not universally enforced where airsoft guns are concerned. You may be able to import your airsoft gun into Canada with the right license and a little luck.

Instructions

1. Apply for a Possession and Acquisition License (PAL) from the RCMP. The form you need to send in is linked in the Resource section. You must be 18 or older and complete the Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course to qualify for a PAL.

2. Pick up your airsoft gun outside of Canada and bring it back across the border with you when you return.

3. Declare the airsoft gun when going through Canadian customs. Be sure to have your PAL license available. Precisely describe the airsoft gun on your declaration form, explaining its use in airsoft sporting events and details. Be very polite; if the customs agent doesn't like you, he is less likely to let you keep your airsoft gun.

Laws On Paintball Guns

In the United States there are eight states that regulate paintball guns or paintball activities in a number of different ways, according to cga.ct.gov. Within these eight states, many different laws regulate the use and transportation of such weapons, and carry a variety of consequences.

Weapon

In some states, paintball guns have been classified as a "weapon." Laws regulating the sale, use or transportation of weapons can and do apply to paintball guns in New York and New Jersey. A New York Supreme Court judge ruled that a gun using carbon dioxide was an "air-gun" and was within the aegis of the state's Penal Law.

Minors

Three states--Illinois, New Hampshire and Rhode Island--have laws regulating the sale of a paintball gun to, and the possession of a paintball gun by, minors. New Hampshire and Rhode Island both prohibit individuals under 18 years old from buying or owning a paintball gun, and Illinois prohibits those under than 13 from owning a paintball gun. A minor is only permitted to use a paintball gun while at home or at an approved firing range. In both cases, minors must be under parental supervision.

Transportation

In states where paintball guns are considered a "weapon," the transportation of such guns is illegal or highly regulated. Pennsylvania, for instance, has imposed strict requirements regarding transporting a paintball gun in a vehicle. It is only legal to transport a paintball gun if it is emptied of all paintballs, the propellant source on the marker is not connected, the paintballs are stored in a closed container, and the actual gun is secured in a wrapper or box.

Public

Many laws have been put into place limiting where a paintball gun can and cannot be used. It is prohibited to discharge a paintball gun by a street or road, sidewalk, highway, and in public land except for a target range.

Other

Besides the laws listed above, other states have different regulations on the use of paintball guns. Delaware only allows the use of these weapons on a farm, New Hampshire allows schools to expel students for possession of a paintball gun, Pennsylvania prohibits the use of paintball guns outside a game or activity, and two states, Delaware and Virginia, permit towns to adopt ordinances relating to the use of a paintball gun.

Modify A Paintball Gun

Paintball is a game of speed and accuracy, which the onboard air canister makes almost impossible. Converting the paintball gun to a remote air canister is a great option that balances the paintball gun and make long days of playing more comfortable. Making this modification is straight forward if you know the tricks to making it work.

Instructions

1. Remove the air canister from the back of the paintball gun by sliding the air clip back and separating the pieces. Note the size of the universal fill adaptor or take it with you to ensure you select the right hose.

2. Select a coiled hose to minimize the occurrence of getting tangled in brush or obstacles during game play. Purchase the adaptors that fit your equipment and insert the fittings into the hose ends and clamp them into place.

3. Decide where you would like to place the slide check valve and cut the hose. Install the valve by inserting the ends of the hose into the valve and clamping them tightly. This allows you to turn off the airflow between games.

4. Connect the hose to the universal fill adaptor and remote air bottle. Dry test the system to ensure there are no leaks in any of the connections before taking the paintball gun into battle.

Customize Paintball Guns Online

You can order a paintball gun online and customize it to your liking.

There are so many paintball gun packages available online. But if you want to personalize your package to fit your specific paintball needs, you can customize your package pretty easily. Many websites allow users to pick and choose every element of the gun they purchase. Whether you're looking for an automatic gun with a larger hopper, or a pump gun that's better for long range, you can easily find the perfect gun for you online.

Instructions

1. Open your Internet browser and access one of the websites listed in "References." Each site will allow you to customize your own paintball gun package.

2. Select the model of gun you'd like to go off of. Instead of clicking on "Guns," click on the "Customize" or "Parts" section. The websites offer pictures and brief summaries for each gun.

3. Choose the size of hopper you'd like for your paintball gun. If you are a close-range shooter, it would be best to select a larger hopper so that you don't ever have to worry about reloading. However, a longer-range gun can sometimes benefit from a smaller hopper so that there is less bulk and shooting is easier.

4. Pick a tank to power your gun. CO2 tanks, carbon filter tanks and nitrogen tanks are all available in various shapes and sizes. Choose a tank size based on how often you are available to reload the tank, whether in game or otherwise.

5. Finalize your order by entering your debit or credit card number. Your customized paintball gun will be delivered to your door according to your shipping preferences.

Make A Johnny 3 Tears Mask

Monarch butterflies decorate the right jaw of Johnny 3 Tears's mask.

Johnny 3 Tears is the lead singer for Hollywood Undead, a Los Angeles band that sits on the edge between grunge and rock. The band appeals mainly to young audiences ranging from preteens to early college students. Their trademarks involve not only their band names but the masks each member wears. Johnny 3 Tears wears a blue mask with a white 3 emblazoned on the left side. A black butterfly encases the right eye while four monarch butterflies trail down the right cheekbone to the jawline. Create your own mask for a concert or Halloween costume.

Instructions

1. Spray paint the entire mask with French blue spray paint. Allow the paint to dry overnight.

2. Sketch a large, stylized number 3 on the left side of the mask with the white chalk. The three should have a flat, pointed upper section and a rounded, elongated lower section. You may place it just on the cheek or encompassing the entire side of the face.

3. Paint in the 3 with a white acrylic paint marker. You may also use a paintbrush, but a marker will give you more control. Keep the edges clean and let the 3 dry for at least two hours.

4. Sketch a black butterfly with large, filigree wings and a scrollwork tail over the mask's right eye. The tips of the wings should be relatively sharp and the scrollwork should trail to the bottom of the mask.

5. Paint in the butterfly and scrollwork with black acrylic paint and a paintbrush. You may use paint markers instead, but brushes are less likely to leave scribble marks. Allow the entire mask to cure overnight.

6. Place the monarch butterfly rub-on stickers, available at craft stores, along the right jaw of your mask with the shiny sides down. Rub them vigorously with a ice cream stick, working the edges very firmly. Gently peel away the backing to reveal your butterflies.

Paint Realistic Fire With An Airbrush

Notice the red tint in the outer edges of this flame.

The key to creating realistic looking flames with an airbrush comes down to an attention to detail. When you think about how a fire looks, you probably have a bright, yellow image in mind. However, fire actually has many shades to it, some of which are dark. It is the contrast between the light and dark colors of a flame that make it not only look realistic but also stand out.

Instructions

1. Fill the cup of your airbrush with a very dark color, preferably almost black. This will be your background color. Your flames will look more luminous if they stand out against a very dark background. Attach the hose of your airbrush to the canister of pressurized air.

2. Don a face mask to avoid inhaling paint particles. Hold the tip of your airbrush about a foot away from your paint surface and squeeze the trigger. A jet of paint should spray across your paint surface. Spray the surface until it is completely coated in an even shade of color.

3. Disconnect your airbrush and flush it with water in the sink to rinse out the dark paint. Dry the canister with a paper towel and fill it with a dark umber color. Hook the airbrush back to the air canister.

4. Squeeze the trigger of the airbrush lightly, testing it out on scrap paper. You want a thin dusting of paint. Adjust the distance between the airbrush and the paper until you achieve this. Then use that information to apply a semi-transparent layer of umber to your pain surface, in the shape of the flames. You can vary the width of your paint stream by applying more or less pressure to the trigger.

5. Pick a lighter, intermediate red-orange paint. Flush your airbrush again, and fill the canister with this color. Go over the umber outline of your fire with this. Do not completely cover the umber, however. Leave an edge of it showing. This will give the appearance of glowing flames.

6. Flush your airbrush again and select a bright orange-yellow color. Apply this color to the center of the flames in thin lines. Allow the bright color to deviate somewhat from the flames you have already laid out. It will give it a layered appearance that is more realistic.

7. Clean your brush a final time, and allow the paint to dry.

Make A Rifle Ghillie

No matter how well the rest of you is camouflaged, the straight lines, metal and glass parts of a sniper rifle can make you easier to spot.

If you've gone to the trouble of making yourself a ghillie camouflage suit for hunting or paintball competition, don't forget to create a ghillie wrap for your rifle. The straight lines and glass and metal parts of the rifle will stand out against foliage. A ghillie rifle wrap can increase your ability to blend with the local environment. You can make an effective bushrag-style ghillie rifle wrap out of leftover materials from your ghillie suit.

Instructions

Assembling the Rifle Ghillie

1. Cut out a piece of netting large enough to drape over the length of the rifle and hanging over both sides about 6 to 12 inches.

2. Start at the edges of the netting and work your way toward the center spine of the netting. Tie rows of jute string and strips of burlap the length of the netting. Fold the strips and strings in half and tie them to the net with a simple knot that's easy to untie in case you want to later retie the ghillie pattern for a different kind of terrain.

3. Add rows of strips and strings above the first row, overlapping as you go. Fray the edges of the wider burlap strips. Fray strips near the stock of the rifle toward the back end of the gun. Those toward the front end should be frayed toward the front of the gun. This helps conceal the ends of the gun when moving and carrying the gun.

4. Lay the netting over the top of the gun to trial fit the ghillie. Use scissors to cut openings for sniper scopes, adjustment screws and other parts of the rifle that you will need to access. You may need to fray the edges of burlap strips near openings to disguise the edges of rifle parts.

5. Secure the ghillie wrap to the gun by wrapping elastic bands around the netting at both ends of the barrel. Fluff the strings and burlap strips around the bands to conceal them.

Buy A Gun In Arkansas

There are several reasons to buy a gun: protection, hunting or collecting to name a few. In Arkansas, a permit is not required, and you do not need to register your guns. There is also no waiting period. However, a permit is required to carry a concealed weapon, and you have to be a resident of Arkansas for at least 90 days before buying a handgun.

Instructions

1. Decide what type of gun you need based on your reason for buying it. For protection, get a handgun. For hunting, get a rifle.

2. Check to see when concealed weapons classes or hunter's education classes are offered.

3. Find a reputable gun dealer by searching websites, such as Gunners Den or US Firearms.

4. Go to gun shows to see what's available. To find a gun and knife show near you, visit the Gun Shows USA website.

5. Answer a few required questions and wait for the dealer to call in a background check.

6. Purchase the gun, some ammunition and learn to use and care for your gun correctly.

Play Hide And Go Seek

In the days before the Cartoon Network and video games, Hide and Go Seek was a staple in a child's day. There is no better way to occupy a group of kids for hours at a time! Here is a reminder of this great childhood game for you to share with the video game generation.

Instructions

1. Gather a group of three or more children who are ready and willing to play. One child needs to be chosen as "it." This is a great time to bring out all of those little chants, like "one potato, two potato, three potato, four" or "my mother told me to pick this one" to choose who will be the seeker.

2. Begin the game by having the seeker count to at least 25. If you are playing outside, you might want to make it 50, and you should set some boundaries as to how far away children can hide. While the seeker is counting, the other players hide.

3. Have the seeker yell out "Ready or not, here I come!" when she finishes counting, to signal that the seeking is about to begin. The first player that she finds becomes "it" in the next game.

4. Add a level of challenge to the game by designating a spot as home base. Home base serves as a safe spot once a child is found. If a child is found by "it" but makes it to home base before "it" can tag them, he is safe. Also, if a child feels he could be discovered, he can come out of hiding and run to home base. Again if he isn't tagged by "it," he is safe. The first child tagged before getting to home base becomes "it" in the next game.

Remove Anodization

Anodization is a word used to describe the method used for coloring aluminum. Anodized parts are commonly found on bicycles, motorcycles and other various items made from aluminum. Anodization is an extremely durable finish that is not typically known to scratch off. It cannot peel, since it causes the colorant to become chemically embedded in the topmost layers of the aluminum. You can sand anodization off, but it will take an extremely long time. Fortunately, there's an easier way to remove anodization. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Prepare a work surface--a space outdoors is preferable. Place a drop cloth or newspapers on the surface where you will be working.

2. Put on rubber gloves and eye protection to protect yourself from the oven cleaner.

3. Spray the anodized piece with the oven cleaner, completely coating it.

4. Allow the oven cleaner to sit for 45 minutes.

5. Use steel wool and rags to rub off the anodization.

6. Rinse the finished piece with water and dry it with rags.

7. Sand out any pits in the aluminum, if desired.

Use An Aluminum Co2 Tank With A Pin Valve

A paintball gun

Aluminum CO2 tanks with pin valves are the most popular air source used in paintball guns. These tanks used compressed CO2 gas, which is trickled into the paintball gun and propels the paintballs. The pin valve on the top of the tank allows the tank to be removed from the gun without leaking. Using these tanks is simple and they can be attached to nearly every paintball gun on the market. Although this process is simple and easy, always be careful when using CO2 tanks, as they contain compressed gasses.

Instructions

1. Wipe the air source adapter of the paintball gun and the threads of the CO2 tank with a soft towel. The air source adapter is the piece of the paintball gun that is used to accept the air tank. These are located under the grip frame. Wiping these threads will ensure that there is no dirt, which could damage the threads.

2. Insert an O-ring onto the aluminum CO2 tank. These are placed above the threaded portion of the tank where there is a tiny indentation that runs the circumference of the tank's nozzle. O-rings prevent leaks and ensure a tight seal between the tank and the gun.

3. Screw the CO2 tank onto the paintball gun using a clockwise motion until it is snug on the gun. Do not force the tank onto the gun because this will strip the threads.

Be A Sniper In Paintball

Wait in hiding and eliminate your opponents from the paintball game one by one.

Instructions

1. Practice shooting your paintball gun for accuracy before you play. Get used to the sighting system and range of your paintball gun.

2. Outfit yourself in camouflage that matches the area you are playing in. Carry nothing bright or reflective.

3. Scout a location your opponents must pass through, such as near your flag or along a key access route.

4. Move quickly to your position once the game starts.

5. Be sure you're well hidden, but also that you have an unobstructed shot.

6. Plan your escape route in advance.

7. Make sure your paintball gun is cocked and loaded. If you have to do this when your target is in sight, you may give away your position.

8. Wait silently and remain motionless. Listen to determine the course of the game.

9. Shoot your opponent with a single shot when he or she is within range. If multiple opponents are in site, take the easiest shot first and then keep shooting. You may need to use that escape route now.

Get A Paintball Team Sponsorship

Photos of individual team members, like this one, make your team look professional, dedicated and organized.

Getting sponsorship for your paintball team is an essential step to promoting your team's image and improving your chance to place highly in tournaments. Sponsors will donate equipment and money in exchange for advertising on your banners, jerseys and other team equipment. These donations will take some financial burden off of your players, allowing them to be better equipped and more focused on their game. Acquiring these sponsorships can sometimes be difficult, but with determination and persistence, a fruitful cooperation can be reached.

Instructions

1. Build your team's portfolio. Organize this information in a resume-type format, print it on high-quality paper, and include a professional team photo. This should be a presentable document, ready for mailing, that introduces your team's membership, winning history, and goals.

2. Generate a list of potential sponsors by searching online and contacting local schools, and other sports organizations to find companies that actively support local sports teams. These companies can be anything from local grocery stores to regional departments of large businesses. Large paintball companies also offer sponsorship through streamlined, online forms. Fill out these forms carefully to include all the required information and submit them with any addeitional requested documents.

3. Make contact with as many potential sponsors on your list as possible, either through e-mail or by telephone. Introduce yourself as the spokesperson for the team, and invite the company or representative to take a look at your portfolio. Always follow-up and maintain contact with potential sponsors.

4. Discuss your team's desires for sponsorship with the companies that show interest, and explain how their support will help advance your team as well as the sponsor's image. This will be the beginnings of a contractual deal.

5. Draft a simple contract with the sponsoring companies, stipulating both sides of the agreement. Outline your team desires in terms of funding or gear, and what the company desires in terms of image and presentation.

6. Include a list of current sponsors, once acquired, in your team's portfolio. This lets companies see that you've already been trusted by other companies, and they themselves may want to compete with their rivals directly on your jerseys and banners.

How Not To Be A Paintball Noob

Proper equipment will go a long way to learning the sport.

Diving into the sport of paintball is sometimes intimidating for a beginner. With all the equipment, rules and terminology, it can be downright frustrating to learn your way around. If you're a relative "noob" to paintball, there are a few tips and techniques you can focus on to simplify your journey toward becoming an advanced player.

Safety

The first thing any aspiring paintball player should learn is proper safety. In this sport, your mask is your most important piece of equipment. This facial protection will prevent damage to your vision. Never remove your mask unless you're inside a designated safe area. Make sure you locate these safe areas and familiarize yourself with the layout of the paintball course before you begin playing. Many paintball fields will also require the use of a barrel condom while you're not in the playing area. This item fits over the gun barrel, preventing injury if the gun accidentally fires.

Your Gun

Choosing a paintball gun can be a daunting task for a beginner. There are many different types to choose from, and most will be a significant monetary investment. Shop around before selecting a gun so that you can get the best deal for your situation. Some guns come packaged with the necessary accessories, which can be more cost-effective for getting started. You can also rent guns from professionally run paintball courses. This will give hands-on experience for determining the style of gun you prefer. Don't be afraid to ask questions and advice of employees and other seasoned paintball players. You'll find that they are more than willing to help.

Clothing and Equipment

When selecting your paintball outfit, choose items that will help you during the game. Wearing darker colors will prevent you from being spotted, so stay away from white clothing. Footwear is important also; pick shoes that are light and give extra traction in muddy or wet areas. Football or soccer cleats work well. Once you've gained some experience as a paintball player, you may want to invest in additional safety equipment and accessories. Some of the many add-ons include helmets, gloves, neck guards and specialized paintball clothing.

The Games and Rules

There are two main types of paintball games: woods ball and speed ball. Both are similar in the objectives for winning, but the terrain and style of play are different. In speed ball, a course consisting of bunkers is laid out over an open field. Players navigate across the area, shooting rapidly in an effort to eliminate all members of the opposing team. Woods ball occurs at a relatively slower pace, with stealthy and patient advancement through wooded terrain. There are variations on both playing styles, which modifies strategy. "Capture the flag" is a popular game, with players infiltrating their opponents' territory to claim an object.

Strategy

Before the game even starts, you should be thinking about strategy. Inspect the playing area for places that will provide adequate cover. During the game, keep your eyes and feet moving. The longer you remain in one spot, the easier it is for opponents to find you. If you are discovered by the other team, don't be afraid to yell to your teammates for help. Not only will this give you an opportunity to escape the situation, but it will reveal your opponents' positions as well.

Sportsmanship and Integrity

One aspect of paintball that shouldn't be overlooked is good sportsmanship. Always be respectful toward your fellow players, and you will earn respect in return. Be honest when you're playing; if you are hit, don't try to cheat by wiping the paint off your clothes and continuing the game. Obey your captain's orders and contribute what you can to your team's success. Above all else: have fun! You're much more likely to stick with the sport and gain experience if you enjoy yourself.

Convert A Propane Tank For Compressed Air

Converting this propane tank to run compressed air takes just a bit of time.

Propane tanks can be found underneath barbecues all over the country, but they can also have another use. If you have an air compressor that you use for doing carpentry work, you may find that there isn't much capacity in the tank. One way to change that is to add another tank, and the cheapest way to do that is to use a propane tank. Before you can do that though, you first have to convert the tank so that you can use it for compressed air. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Put the propane tank in an open area. Open the valve on the top of the propane tank by turning it counterclockwise. Let any gas expel out of the tank. Insert a flathead screwdriver into the fitting portion of the valve and depress the check valve in the center of the fitting to let out any excess gas that may be in the tank.

2. Secure the propane tank to one side of a 2 by 4 using the ratcheting tie-down straps. Wedge the 2 by 4 between an immovable object so that any force you exude on the tank will be stopped by the 2 by 4 and the immovable object.

3. Put the crescent wrench onto the hex-head on the top of the valve and then install the 6-foot stick of steel tubing over the handle of the crescent wrench to provide extra leverage. Turn the crescent wrench counterclockwise with the steel tubing until the valve on the top of the propane tank is removed.

4. Fill the propane tank with water from the hose and then let the water run to circulate the water through and out of the tank. Empty the water out of the tank and then fill the tank with hot water and some liquid soap. Shake the propane tank to mix the soap with the water and then empty out the tank. Rinse the tank one last time with the water from the hose. Turn the tank over to empty out any water in the system and then allow the tank to dry for several days.

5. Put a funnel into the hole at the top of the tank. Pour the rust primer into the funnel. Reinstall the propane valve loosely with your hands. Rotate the propane tank slowly end-over-end to mix the rust primer all over the inside of the tank. Remove the propane valve and drop the tank over the rust primer paint can to let any excess paint pour out. Allow the tank to dry for several days and then the tank will be ready to accept any fittings you can use for the air compressor.

Apply For Malaysian Firearms License

Those who obtain a firearm license in Malaysia may only own handguns.

The Arms Act of 1960 outlines gun control and firearm regulation in Malaysia. The steps for obtaining a firearms license in Malaysia are quite different than in the United States. In fact, civilians are allowed to have only handguns in Malaysia, and must go through an extensive licensing process before acquiring a firearm. The Arms Licensing Regulations of 1961 detail the licensing regulations and the steps that applicants must take before obtaining a Malaysian Firearms License.

Instructions

1. Obtain an application from the Royal Malaysian Police (RMP). Applicants must be over the age of 18, and in addition to identification information, must supply a genuine reason for wanting to own a gun. The applicant must also provide detailed information on the gun they wish to own. Upon approval, the licensee can only obtain the gun that was indicated on the application.

2. Pass the background check. The background check looks at criminal history and makes note of mental health. The Royal Malaysian Police will deny an applicant a firearm license if the applicant is accused of domestic violence or if the Royal Malaysian Police has any evidence or reason to suspect such violence in the future.

3. Supply two current, identical photographs. The RMP requires all applicants to bring two identical photos of themselves for the license similar to photos required for a passport.

4. Get fingerprinted. All applicants must undergo fingerprinting as part of the application process.

5. Pay a deposit. The licensing officer may require a deposit of 50 ringgit before issuing a license. The deposit acts as a consequence if terms of the license are violated. If the license expires without any violations by the licensee, the deposit is refunded.

6. Join the RELA. An unconventional way to acquire a firearms license is to join the RELA, which stands for Ikatan Relawan Rakyat Malaysia and refers to the People's Volunteer Corps. After completing the program, which is run through the Royal Malaysia Police, participants gain eligibility for a firearms license.

Open A Paintball Business

Paintball wars are a fun sport and recreational activity that allow people to let loose and get some good exercise. Opening a paintball business can be a great idea, especially if there aren't any nearby. To start a paintball business, you should have some knowledge of the activity as well as an idea of what will make your business different from the rest.

Instructions

1. Go out to several different paintball businesses and play parks. Check out their amenities, packages, concepts for war arenas and kinds of equipment. Take note of what you like and what seems to work. You can even talk to other people there and ask what they like and don't like, and things they would like to see improved.

2. Come up with a concept that is fun and unique. You need to think of something like a jungle paintball zone, a circus, a water park zone and so on. Decide what concept you wish to pursue and write out your plans. Draw up some sketches of obstacles, barriers and trespass zones that fit with your theme.

3. Find a plot of land that will suit your needs. Purchase or lease the property. Build your obstacles, barriers and such and decorate as needed. Don't forget to build an office where all the business transactions will occur. You may also consider a small food concession area to sell snacks and drinks, as paintball players will work up an appetite.

4. Purchase all the paintball gear that will be rented for use at your paintball park. Make sure you get a wide variety and have all sizes available to accommodate your customers' needs. Label all the gear with the business name, phone number and address to prevent theft.

5. Make flyers and hire college students to distribute them at school, put them on car windshields and spread the word about your new paintball zone. Advertise in the yellow pages and get involved with the community so people will know you exist.

Write An Inquiry Letter

Write an Inquiry Letter

A letter of inquiry may be used to investigate open positions for employment, gather information regarding products or services, or for family history or genealogy. Here are some helpful tips for writing an inquiry letter that will be opened, read and responded to.

Instructions

1. Package your letter or envelope in a way that will ensure the letter is read. If sending to a company, be sure the letter is addressed to the appropriate person to avoid a shuffle in the mail room.

2. Grab the attention of the reader early in your inquiry letter.

3. Specify your intentions through words that are simple but direct. If you are writing an inquiry about employment, identify your strengths or how you may meet their needs.

4. Clarify that you are not soliciting or trying to sell them anything. People are wary of unsolicited mail especially if asking for personal information in the case of genealogy requests.

5. Give truthful information. If you are looking for a connection between ancestors, provide specific names and dates. If you are looking for information regarding a product, explain why. If you are looking for employment opportunities, be honest about your accomplishments.

6. Include a self-addressed, stamped envelope to increase the chances of a response.

7. Make sure your letter includes personal information and contact number. Make it easy on the recipient of the letter to contact you without making them search for your information online or somewhere that may be inaccurate or out-of-date.

8. Consider a follow-up letter if you do not receive an initial response.
