Paint A Gun Barrel

Paint a Gun Barrel

Gun barrels can be stained a deep, dark blue or left silver, such as when the barrel is stainless-steel. The blue stain is applied to inhibit rust, but as with the bright stainless steel, it can be a hindrance when hunting game. Light reflected from a gun barrel can be seen from a distance and may frighten the animal you are hunting. sp it's best to try some different colors.

Instructions

1. Remove any fore-stock or hand grips from around the barrel, after ensuring that the gun is unloaded and safe. Remove the barrel from the receiver if possible and then clean the barrel with rubbing alcohol and rags to remove any oil, grease or foreign material.

2. Apply masking tape to any part of the barrel you do not wish painted, such as the front sight. If you are not able to remove the barrel from the receiver, apply masking tape to the receiver to protect it from overspray if desired.

3. Trim all taped areas with the razor blade so that the barrel is properly exposed for the application of the spray paint and that all other parts of the barrel are protected from overspray.

4. Hang the barrel in an area suitable for painting and select one of the three paint colors for the primer coat (usually, the darker color works best as a primer coat). Apply one primer coat to the barrel and allow it to dry completely.

5. Apply a second primer coat if any metal shine is detected after the first coat thoroughly dries. Once the primer coat is dry, attach two or three leaves to the painted barrel using the masking tape and arrange in a pleasing manner.

6. Select a paint color different from the primer color and spray several strips on the gun barrel, spraying over the applied leaves, but do not paint the whole barrel. Allow this coat to throughly dry, but do not remove the leaves.

7. Attach another two or three leaves to the gun barrel, using the masking tape. Do not remove the first group of leaves. Select the final paint color and spray several strips across the barrel and leaves, but do not paint the whole barrel. Allow the paint on the barrel to dry completely.

8. Remove the taped leaves carefully. Reassemble the gun and check that all parts fit properly and any moving parts are free to move where intended.

Change A Nightster Derby Cover

The Derby cover allows you to personalize your Harley-Davidson Nightster bike.

The Harley-Davidson Nightster motorcycle offers a customizable feature known as a "Derby" cover. This changeable plate mount allows owners to express themselves with various images. The derby cover is a 10-inch circle plate located by the kick starter. The Nightster motorcycle comes bearing a plate with the Harley logo, but changing the Nightster Derby plate is easy.

Instructions

1. Unscrew the five screws that attach the old Derby cover to the motorcycle. Since all replacement covers come with new replacement screws and washers, you can discard the old. Replacing the screws also prevents rust.

2. Alight the new cover with the plate socket. There will a notch on the top of the cover that will fit into a notch in the socket. Rotate it until it slips in, then hold it firmly in place.

3. Place a washer over the top screw hole, then screw in one of the new screws. The plate is now stable enough to let go.

4. Screw in the other four screws, with washers. Once the top screw is attached, the order does not matter.

Switch To Compressed Air From Co2 In Paintball Guns

Switch to Compressed Air From Co2 in Paintball Guns

In paintball, there are two main types of propellant: carbon dioxide (CO2) and compressed air (also called high-pressure air or "nitro.") CO2 was the original paintgun propellant used from the earliest days of the sport when all paintguns used 12-gram CO2 cartridges. It still is widely used, but beginning in the early 1990s, compressed air systems began to take their place in paintball, first with high-end expensive paintguns, and then into more general use as the cost of compressed air systems fell.

Instructions

1. Obtain a compressed air system. The most common are screw-in fixed-pressure regulator systems. These have male bottle threads that mate up with a paintgun's primary air input, the air system adaptor. Almost any paintball gun that can accept a CO2 bottle can accept a screw-in high pressure air system without any changes.

2. Move or replace the air input If the paintgun with the mounted compressed air system feels unbalanced or uncomfortable. This can be done with an aftermarket part that relocates the air system adaptor. Called "drop-forwards," these parts come in various sizes and configurations. Another option is switching to a remote system. This relocates the high pressure air system into a pouch worn on a belt or pack, and a hose and adaptor to connect the tank to the paintgun.

3. Use a chronograph at a paintball field to check your velocity after you switch from CO2 to a high pressure air system. Adjust it up or down as necessary to make your gun field-legal. Once this is set, your velocity should remain consistent until your air tank begins to run low.

Build A 4 Gun Rack

Do-it-yourselfers can build a four gun rack out of just four pieces of lumber. However, the project does require cutting the complex curves to two of the pieces and requires the use of a scroll or jig saw in addition to the more standard saw, drill, screwdriver and tape measure. The project still falls within the ability level of even new builders if they work slowly and carefully.

Instructions

1. Draw a pattern for the cut to be made to the side pieces to support the gun on paper. The cut will remove a U-shaped channel, where the gun will rest, that leaves 2 1/2 of an inch along the back of the side piece and a 1 portion at the front to hold the gun in place. This leaves 1 3/4 of an inch to be removed for the gun holding channel from the 5 1/2-inch width of a normally milled 1-by-6-inch board.

2. Trace the above pattern onto the side of the board starting at the top of the board. Move the pattern down 1 foot and repeat until there are four of the gun holding hooks traced on the side of the board. Continue the lines from segment to segment to create a smooth flow of the cut for the four gun rack. Repeat the tracing on the other side piece.

3. Cut the 8-foot-long, 1-by-6 inch board into two 4 foot segments. Cut, following the traced lines, the gun supports using a jig or scroll saw. Sand the cut edges smooth using a spindle sander or hand held sandpaper and elbow grease.

4. Sand any rough edges or rough spots in the boards to a smooth finish. Finish the project with paint or stain as desired. Follow manufacturer's instructions for the proper application of paint or stain.

Open A Bowling Pro Shop

Bowling pro shops feature a good selection of bowling balls and other gear.

Bowling has become increasingly popular within the past few years. According to the Bowling Proprietors' Association of America, almost 70 million bowlers participated in the sport in 2009. In addition to the renewed interest in bowling, many bowling alleys have received a facelift as well. Now often called family entertainment centers, the facilities offer expanded lounges and more food and beverage choices. More entertainment options for non-bowlers add to facilities' family appeal.

Instructions

1. Choose your pro shop business structure. Meet with a Certified Public Accountant experienced with hybrid businesses (e.g. companies that offer a mix of products and services). Ask her to recommend the best business structure for your bowling pro shop: a sole proprietorship; a limited liability company (LLC); or a conventional corporation. Consult with a commercial insurance agent with experience similar to your accountant's. Visit your city or county clerk's office for your business license. Finally, contact your state's Department of Revenue to obtain a sales tax number.

2. Select a convenient location. First, decide whether you want to locate the pro shop in a bowling center or in a stand-alone building. If you choose the first option, you're limited to the existing bowling center locations. However, you will have a "captive" audience for your pro shop products. In choosing the stand-alone option, look for a location near a bowling center without a pro shop. Make it convenient for bowlers to drop by your shop before or after their bowling sessions. Install a front display window to showcase colorful bowling balls, bags, and gear.

3. Examine your regional bowling market. Visit local bowling centers, and gather information on their leagues, classes, and tournaments. Taken together, this data will provide an anecdotal picture of the market's activity. The information may also help you in making product choices. For example, a large number of women bowlers may convince you to order some specially made bowling shirts in colors that ladies prefer.

4. Identify your competition. You have three types of competitors: pro shops in bowling centers, stand-alone pro shops, and online pro shops. First, visit regional pro shops to learn about their products. Take note of the shop's appearance, depth of the product lines, and level of customer service. Look for an under-served market with some potential. Browse an online pro shop directory for information about online businesses. This directory also links to websites of brick-and-mortar pro shops.

5. Order your balls, shoes, and gear. Use your bowling market information to place a wholesale product order. Choose bowling balls for different hand sizes and budgets, and shoes for men, women, and youth bowlers. Use volume discounts for towels and other generic items. Bring in a few "test' items you haven't seen anywhere else. Finally, arrange a special order option to accommodate customers' specific needs.

6. Hire bowling-friendly staff. Find employees who are avid bowlers, and they will communicate their enthusiasm to your customers. Ensure that staff is technically savvy so customers can receive the best advice on ball choice, grip, and technique. Finally, work with a local bowling professional to develop a series of skills classes.

7. Hold a Grand Opening Bowling Benefit. Partner with a local bowling center to conduct a charity bowling tournament. Structure the entry fee to include a snazzy bowling shirt and a towel imprinted with your shop's name. Offer equipment prizes to entrants who raise the most money. Advertise this charity tournament in the sports pages of local newspapers, and distribute flyers to bowling centers throughout your region.

Troubleshoot The Proto Slg

Dye Precision's Proto SLG is a semi-automatic paintball marker suitable for casual and tournament use. The ultralight SLG features Proto's patented Spool Valve Technology to operate at a consistently lower pressure than other markers. Running on 145 p.s.i., the SLG can deliver up to 1,500 shots per air tank. The maximum fire rate is 30 balls per second. It has a self-lubricating Force Button to reset the bolt in case of jams and an orbital rotating sear for less wear and longer life. The barrel of the Proto SLG is 12 inches long and total weight of the marker is 2.2 pounds.

Instructions

Air Leaks

1. Check the O-ring on the air tank and replace if necessary.

2. Remove the hose from the hose connector and tighten the connector inside with a 3/16-inch allen wrench.

3. Verify that the end of the air hose is cut straight and not worn ragged. If necessary, remove the air hose from its fitting and trim the end straight. Reinsert the hose in the fitting.

4. Replace the #010 O-ring and the seat on the brass retainer inside the regulator to repair leaks on the bottom of the regulator.

5. Replace the #012 O-ring on the outside of the regulator cap to repair leaks on the top of the regulator.

6. Replace the two #013 O-rings under the swivel piece or tighten the hose connector to repair leaks originating from the swivel piece.

7. Replace the #011 O-ring on top of the regulator cap to repair leaks coming from the air source adapter. Apply a small amount of lubrication to the O-ring.

8. Pressurize the SLG without the frame attached to locate the source of leaks between the body and the frame.

9. Make sure the bolt kit is tightened securely if leaks are coming from the back of the SLG. If necessary, remove the bolt kit and replace the #020 O-ring on the back of the bolt, the #012 O-ring on the plunger and the two #005 O-rings on the bleed button.

10. Remove the bolt kit and replace the #016 O-ring on the bolt and the #014 O-ring on the plunger to repair leaks from the front of the SLG. Verify that the bolt is screwed together securely.

Electronic Problems

11. Make sure the battery is charged if the SLG won't turn on. Also make sure the battery is connected to the 9-volt clip and that the 9-volt harness is connected to the circuit board.

12. Remove the grip panel on the left side and remove the circuit board if the SLG and/or the anti-chop eyes are turning on or off by themselves. Remove the two control buttons from the board and clean thoroughly. Reinstall the buttons and board and test.

13. Change the battery if the anti-chop eyes begin failing. If necessary, clean the anti-chop eyes. Make sure the eye wire is connected to the control board with the metal clips facing down.

14. Check the trigger adjustment and make sure it is actuating the microswitch if the solenoid is not operating. Make sure the solenoid wire is connected to the blue female connector on the board.

15. Increase the trigger sensitivity if the SLG is shooting more than one paintball per trigger pull. Make sure that the trigger pull is adjusted to the proper length and verify that the trigger spring is in place.

Velocity/Firing Problems

16. Make sure the battery is charged if the SLG fires but paintballs don't come out the barrel. Determine that the bolt moves freely and the the airport screw is adjusted correctly. Verify that the bumper O-ring on the front is not blocking the inlet hole on the back of the bolt.

17.Press the bleed button on the back of the bolt and listen to verify that the bolt is moving freely. If it is not, depressurize the SLG, remove the bolt and lubricate. Reinstall the bolt and test.

18. Change the seat in the regulator if your first shots are always too high.

19. Make sure you are using the correct size paintballs if velocity is inconsistent. Remove the bolt and lubricate or change any suspect O-rings. Obtain a regulator test tool and check the regulator pressure. Change any worn-out or defective O-rings in the regulator if pressure readings are inconsistent.

Feeding And Breaking Issues

20. Make sure the ball detents aren't stuck down if two balls are shot at once. Check the ball detents to see if they are excessively worn.

21. Evaluate the quality of your paintballs if they break inside the gun when fired. Also check the #014 O-ring on the bolt tip and verify that it's properly installed.

22. Verify that the anti-chop eyes are clean and that the loader can handle the set rate of fire. Lower the rate of fire setting if necessary.

23. Verify that the proper size barrel is installed.

Paintball Dday Games

Paintball has expanded the different ways that the game can be played.

When it comes to the recreational sport of Paintball, the game tests the skills and teamwork abilities of players to successfully eliminate their opponents. However, paintball players began to get more creative with how the game could be played. With the introduction of "scenario" games, such as Capture the Flag and Hostage, the game itself became more popular. One of the more notable scenario games is called "D-Day", a war-like simulation of the June 6, 1944 battle between the Allied Forces and Nazi Germany on the shores of Normandy, France. Popular D-Day scenario games exist all around the country and are attractions to some of the sports' most dedicated players.

Oklahoma D-Day Paintball

D-Day Adventure Park is known as the spot for the "world's largest paintball game". Located in Northeast Oklahoma in the town of Wyandotte, the park holds an annual event that starts on June 6, the actual day in which D-Day took place, until June 12. At $70 per entrant, the event can host anywhere from 3,000 to 4,000 players separated into the Allies and Germans. Aside from the main event, the park hosts different war-reenactment games throughout the year as well. There is nearby camping, RV parking, hotels available.

Make A Fabric Shotgun Case

Shotguns are required to be in cases when you travel with them, and it is a good idea to store them in a case at home to protect them from damage. However, once you take the gun out of the case, it is often difficult to figure out what to do with that big, bulky storage container. Fabric cases, which are protective and still easily folded when the gun is removed, are the ultimate answer. Making your own gun case is simple enough to be easily done by anyone.

Instructions

1. Locate the handle on the outside of the duffel bag and lay the bag down so that the handle is situated lengthwise along a fold. The idea is that the handle will be used for the shotgun case handle.

2. Use the scissors to cut away all material except 6 inches on either side of the fold in the duffel bag. Use the needle and thread to sew up the length of the gun case but leave one end open.

3. Use the gun case by sliding the shotgun into the open end of the case and then folding the end of the case over and securing it with a string. You can carry the case by the handle or simply throw the gun across your shoulder.

Start An Online Gun Store

The Internet and online gun auctions have greatly expanded the firearms marketplace. Now buyers can search the Internet for specific models of rifles, shotguns or pistols outside of their local area. The accessibility of the Internet is a great opportunity for you to sell guns across the country. An online gun store can be set up to supplement your existing gun store, or as a way for a gun broker (a FFL holder without a physical storefront) to conduct business. Online gun stores can either be set up as individual websites or as a business presence on online auction sites. You must be a federally licensed firearms dealer (or have access to one) to operate an online gun store.

Instructions

1. Establish yourself as a business by registering a "Doing Business As" form (DBA) with your local county. With a DBA you can do business under an assumed business name. It is recommended that you check the availability of both your desired business name and a comparable Internet address, before registering.

2. Apply for a State Sales Certificate from your state's Department of Taxation and Finance. A sales certificate grants you the authority to collect sales tax on goods and services (which is then forwarded to the state). However, state sales tax does not apply if your customer is in another state.

3. Apply for a Federal Firearms License (FFL) from the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (AFT). The AFT will send you an application upon request from their Form Distribution Center at (301) 583-4696. Applications are generally processed within 60 days. All interstate firearms transfers are done between FFL holders. You cannot start conducting business until you have your FFL.

4. Register an Internet address with Internet service provider. Many service providers can also assist you in website creation and the establishment of merchant accounts (so that you may process credit cards). If you would rather not set up a website but still have an online gun shop, you can establish a presence as a seller on an online gun auction site.

5. Set up an account with a gun wholesaler. Wholesale companies require a copy of your FFL and sales certificate before allowing you to become a vendor. Once established with a gun wholesaler you can purchase guns at wholesale cost for resale on the Internet.

Oil A Gun

Glock

To keep your gun in optimal working condition, you should take it to a professional gunsmith for cleaning periodically. This is especially important if the gun has been dropped in salt water or mud, hit against hard surfaces, or used excessively. In between professional cleanings, you can use oil and clean the firearm yourself. This will increase reliability and longevity.

Instructions

1. Clean and oil the barrel of your gun by wetting a brush with CLP (cleaning-lubricant-preservative) oil and inserting it into the barrel from the chamber and scrubbing both the barrel and bore thoroughly. To dry the chamber and bore, use a brush or cleaning rod to push a flannel patch through, wiping off the oil. Keep replacing the patch until the last one comes out completely clean.

2. Put some oil on a cloth and clean the locking block. Use a brush if needed. Wipe the locking block off with a dry cloth when finished cleaning. After cleaning is completed, use a lightly oiled cloth to lubricate the chamber, bore, and locking block. Be sure to do the inside and outside of all parts. Don't forget to lubricate the rails and make sure the locking block and plunger afford free movement.

3. Use a brush or cloth soaked in CLP oil to clean the slide rails, breech face, extractor, firing pin plunger, safety, and other parts. Lubricate the slide rails and underside of the breech by places a few drops of oil on each and smoothing it out. To lubricate the extractor, push it outward with your thumb and drop a few drops of oil alongside it, move the extractor briskly back and forth to make sure of internal lubrication. Next, place a drop of oil around the firing pin catch and work it to ensure it moves freely. To complete this part of the cleaning process, put a few drops of CLP oil to each side of the safety, safety bolt and firing pin unit from the rear side of the breech. Move the lever until free movement is achieved. Wipe off any excess oil with a cloth.

4. Wipe the spring and guide with an oily cloth. Once clean, lightly oil the guide rod and spring with a cloth to lubricate.

5. Soak a cloth or bristle brush with CLP oil and clean all areas on the frame of your gun. Clean the magazine well using a bristle brush. Wipe everything dry and then lubricate the rails and all moving parts by placing a few drops of oil on the disassembling latch, magazine catch and release button, hammer, trigger, and all other levers. Use enough oil to ensure ease of movement for all parts.

6. Clean and oil all magazines and put everything back together to finish the gun-cleaning process.

Play Capture The Flag In Paintball

Each team must defend its own flag while trying to capture the other team's flag and bring it back to home base.

Instructions

1. Divide all your players into two equal teams.

2. Set up two home bases. Place a flag in the center of each home base.

3. Determine a length for the game. Length should depend on the terrain and the amount of players. Bigger areas and more players need more time, but don't allow too much time. Short games put the pressure on for action and are generally more exciting. Make sure everyone knows how the game is to be started and stopped.

4. Separate to your home bases.

5. Begin the game. Each team must devise its own strategy to try to reach the other team's flag and return it to home base without the team's own flag being taken.

6. Hit other players with your paintballs to make them "out." These players must leave the field until the next game.

7. Capture the opposing team's flag and hang it in your own base before time runs out.

8. Switch home bases each game.

Anodize Aluminum

The process of anodizing aluminum utilizes a weak acid bath and an electrical current to draw out the aluminum oxide from the raw aluminum. As this oxide precipitates on the surface of the aluminum it produces two valuable consequences. First of all, it creates a porous surface that readily accepts dyes and that also is resistant to further corrosion and scratching. Secondly, the precipitation of the aluminum oxide transitions the raw aluminum into aluminum hydrate, which is significantly harder and more durable than raw aluminum.

Instructions

1. Prep the raw aluminum to be anodized by soaking it in a hot bath of sodium hydroxide. This will remove impurities from the surface of the aluminum.

2. Heat up your sulfuric acid bath to 68 to 70 degrees F. Charge the solution by placing the ends of your 12-volt charger into the solution. Submerge the cleaned aluminum in this acid bath and allow it to sit for about two hours.

3. Rinse the anodized aluminum in boiling water to stop the oxidation process. If you want to add color to the anodized aluminum, submerge the aluminum in a heated dye solution that has a temperature of about 90 degrees F. The dye solution can be made by mixing one part fabric dye to two parts water. Gradually raise the temperature to between 130 and 140 degrees and keep it at this temperature for about 30 to 40 minutes.

4. Remove the dyed aluminum and rinse with boiling water. Then place it in a vegetable steamer for 30 minutes to set the dye.

Airbrush A Paint Splatter

Creating a splattered paint effect with an airbrush is easy.

Airbrushing is a method of applying paint that uses compressed air to atomize the paint before spraying it onto a canvas. By its nature, airbrush paining produces soft lines and edges. This can be a problem if you intentionally want to splatter paint onto a canvas. You can still accomplish this effect with an airbrush, however, by simply making use of a wooden craft stick.

Instructions

1. Connect your airbrush to the compressor with an air hose.

2. Fill the airbrush's paint reservoir with the color of your choice.

3. Spray whatever background details you desire before adding the splatter.

4. Hold the end of a craft stick in front of the airbrush tip at a 45-degree angle.

5. Spray onto and past the craft stick. The paint will collect onto the stick, then blow onto the canvas in a random splatter pattern once enough has accumulated.

6. Move the airbrush and stick farther from the canvas to create smaller paint blobs. Move the airbrush and stick closer to make the splattering appear more pronounced.

7. Increase the air pressure if you are not getting enough paint splattered onto the canvas.

8. Continue to build up the splattered area until you are satisfied with the results.

California Paintball Laws

California paintball gun regulations govern the use of the devices.

If you are a paintball enthusiast living in California looking to buy, use or purchase a paintball gun, there are a few points of law you should be aware of to avoid running afoul the state's fairly stringent laws governing such devices. Just so long as you keep these laws in mind, there is no reason why you and your buddies can't have all the paintball fun in California your hearts desire.

Definition Under Law

Under California law, paintball guns fall under the banner of "imitation firearms," along with BB guns, pellet guns and toy guns. All of these types of "imitation firearm" are classified under California law as "BB devices," which are defined as "any instrument that expels a projectile, such as a BB or a pellet, not exceeding 6mm caliber, through the force of air pressure, gas pressure, or spring action, or any spot marker gun"--"spot marker gun" is California lawmaker speak for "paintball gun." And the universal size of paintball ammunition is 6mm. Therefore all laws applicable to this broad category of firearm are applicable to paintball fans and their paintball activities.

Public Display

In California it is against the law to display any imitation firearm--including paintball guns--in public unless it is displayed in a commercial transaction (such as may take place in the store when purchased or when the gun is presented for repair at a shop), if the gun is being use in the filming of a commercial film production, if the gun is being used in a certified and regulated sporting event or if it is being used on a certified and regulated private or public shooting range.

Under this section of the law, some private property accessible to the general public, such as an individual's front yard, is included in the definition of public places and a first time violation of this law may result in a $100 fine. A second violation may result in a $300 fine. A third or any subsequent violations may result in a misdemeanor conviction.

Some paintball guns may be exempt from these public display restrictions if they are painted white, bright red, bright orange, bright yellow, bright green, bright blue, bright pink, bright purple or if they are transparent or translucent to the degree where their entire contents are visible.

Public Buildings

Under California law, any person who brings a paintball gun into any state or local public building or to any meeting required by law to be open to the public is in violation of state law governing the use of such weapons and may face up to a year in jail or in a state prison. Similarly, it is illegal to bring a paintball gun into the "sterile" area (such as terminals or any point beyond passenger security checkpoints) of any airport in the state.

Minors

Under California law, it is illegal for any individual to sell any "BB device"--including paintball guns--to a minor (17 years or younger). It is also illegal for any individual to give or otherwise allow access of a paintball gun to a minor. A violation under this section of state law is a misdemeanor and may result in fines, jail time or probation.

A waiver permits you or a third party to intentionally relinquish a right or claim to compensation or relief. Generic templates are available through online legal document suppliers, and can be downloaded for use. Before using a waiver form, read the instrument from start to finish. Ensure that it contains the language you want, and covers the activities you want covered.

Instructions

1. Visit your state's court website. If you seek to bring legal proceedings against a defendant, request the appropriate waiver form from the county clerk. Generally, waiver forms are available for download online. Charges may apply if you obtain the forms at the courthouse.

2. Visit an online legal document supplier. Not all online legal document supplies offer free downloads, so check beforehand. Generally, online legal document suppliers charge a fee if an in-house consultant prepares or offers expert advice regarding the completion of a form.

3. Choose from various blank waiver templates, including application fee waiver forms, medical insurance fee waiver forms, medical release waiver of liability, waiver of liability forms, pet waiver of liability forms, and legal liability waiver forms.

4. Analyze the language contained within the waiver. Look for specific language about the scope of liability and level of risk -- for example, "I understand and fully accept that there are risks involved. I hereby agree to accept any and all risks of injury or death." If the waiver does not contain the language you want, select a more effective template.

5. Download the free waiver form. Check that the form is complete after printing the job. Each page must be present, especially the signature and signing date page.

6. Fill in the form completely and initial where appropriate. Have all parties sign the form as well as print a hand signature and signing date.

7. Have the waiver notarized by a notary public to strengthen the enforceability of the form.

Vineyard Visit and Wine Tasting

The Pinot Noir grape is a parent of the Marquette grape used by Basha Kill Vineyards.

The first commercial winery in Sullivan county, BashaKill Vineyards launched in 2005 by growing two different kinds of grapes, Noiret and Cayuga White. Both grapes are disease-resistant, allowing for green growing practices using no chemicals. In keeping with the vineyard's chemical-free practices, all trellises used are made from a hard wood native called Black Locust wood, which requires no treatment to outlast treated lumber.

In 2007, the vineyard started planting a cold-hardy, disease-resistant grape called the Marquette. In 2010, the vineyard expects to release a new red wine made of a combination of the Marquette and the Noiret called The Bald Eagle, according to the vineyard's website.

Wine tasting is available in a room off of the renovated garage that is now used as a winery. You can bring your own lunch and enjoy your wine on the outdoor patio. The patio is closed off and heated with two wood stoves during the cold months. In May, 2010, the winery began providing live music every Saturday, and will continue to do so through October 2010.

From Memorial Day to the end of October, the winery is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Otherwise, the winery is open on Saturdays only from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Fix The Safety On A Paintball Gun

Safety and proper marker maintenance ensure fun for all at a paintball field.

When not on the field, a paintball marker barrel is plugged and a mechanical safety used to prevent the marker from accidentally firing. Just like the safety on a real gun, the paintball marker safety is utilized for the protection of all the paintball players. Worn parts should be immediately replaced, a process which can often be completed by the marker owner with a few tools and common sense.

Instructions

1. Acquire the paintball marker schematic. If the marker was purchased new, a schematic is typically included with the equipment's paperwork. If the marker was purchased used from a third party, instructions and schematic often be downloaded from the Internet on the manufacturer's website. Having a schematic in hand before beginning this process will ensure a smooth and complete repair.

2. Remove the paintball grip from the marker body. Typically the grip is fastened to the body with 2 button-head hex cap screws. Carefully remove the screws and then remove the grip from the body. If repairing a Tippmann Custom 98, the two halves of the body are taken apart revealing the internals, rather than removing the grip from the marker body.

3. Using the schematic, identify the trigger safety. The trigger safety is a small part, which slides back and forth, or from side to side within the grip handle. It will physically move into the travel path of the trigger. If a schematic is not available, inspect the marker grip visually and identify the part which fits this description.

4. Physically inspect the trigger and trigger safety. Become familiar with how these two parts interact before disassembling them any further. Once confident on their operation, remove the two parts and physically inspect them again. If the marker was misfiring, the problem may have been in a worn safety, worn trigger or some other problem. Make sure the parts are intact and interact positively. Identify on the schematic that the parts are indeed the trigger and safety.

5. Order new parts from the manufacturer if they require replacement. Install the new parts in the reverse order from how they were removed. Verify that the trigger and safety are interacting correctly and working properly working before reassembling the marker, grip, and body. Once the marker is reassembled, before gassing the equipment, test the trigger and safety to verify that the parts have been installed properly.

Customize Minnesota Wild Jerseys

The National Hockey League's Minnesota Wild has seen their fair share of success both on and off the ice since the organization's inception as an expansion team in 2000. Officially licensed Wild hockey jerseys are popular attire not only in the arena on game day but out in the community as well. Fans that purchase or are planning on purchasing a jersey in home, away or third-jersey colors may want to have it customized with a personalized name and number.

Instructions

1. Log onto Wild.NHL.com, the team's official website, if you're planning on purchasing your jersey online; this allows you to make your purchase directly from the team's official NHL store. Alternately, purchase your jersey in person at many sporting goods retailers. Scroll to the bottom of the Wild's page and click on the link "Shop.NHL.com"; for other online retailers, scroll through their selection to find Wild jerseys. Clicking on the Wild's page opens a new window that displays the team's jersey styles.

2. Browse through the selection and find the style that appeals to you; realize the jerseys are offered in Replica and Authentic, each with varying price tags. Click on the jersey you like. Select which size you prefer from the appropriate drop-down box. You'll then be prompted to customize the jersey by clicking on the "Customize It" step.

3. Type in your desired name and number into the provided fields; take note that you can't customize your jersey with the names of retired players or players that don't currently play for the Wild. Type in your desired number in the field; alternately, select the name and number of current players from the "Pro" drop-down box and select if you'd like the "C" or "A" applied to the jersey to indicate captaincy.

4. Click "Review & Purchase" to finish the transaction by providing your credit card info and mailing address details. Other forms of payment may also be accepted. Realize the customization process may take a few weeks to complete; generally, most fans receive their orders within 4 to 6 weeks. Be advised: As of 2011 a $55 fee is applied to the jersey's price.

Avoid Paintball Bruises

There is no doubt that a game of paintball can be fun and exciting. However, it is important to remember that you are a playing a game where paint-filled pellets are being fired out of guns at high speeds, which means the potential to get hurt is there. Bruises are a typical paintball ailment, but they can be prevented.

Instructions

1. Wear the necessary protective clothing before taking the field. Fashion is not an issue here. You need to wear shirts with long sleeves, long pants and boots or closed-toed shoes. Consider dressing in layers if you bruise easily or are a beginner (because as a beginner, many people will be gunning for you).

2. Keep your helmet on at all times! They may seem a bit cumbersome, but they are much less problematic than taking a paintball shot to the head. Besides, removing your helmet can be grounds for ejection from the playing field.

3. Invest in protective goggles. Nobody wants a huge shiner as a souvenir from their day of paintball fun. Besides bruises, serious injury to the eyes can occur if they are not protected. Wear a face mask as well.

4. Consider some protective padding, especially in specific places that bruise easily.

5. Avoid getting hit by the paintballs. This sounds simple and silly, but it really is the best way to not get paintball bruises. Bob and weave, make good use of the field obstacles, and above all, go on the offensive! Get them before they have the chance to get you.

6. Have a talk with any of your friends who might think it is funny to shoot paintballs at you from a too-short distance. This is a game, not an opportunity to injure friends for the sake of humor.

Make A Paintball Gun Out Of Pvc Pipe

The purpose of any paintball gun is to fire a paintball at a target. You can make a single-shot paintball gun out of PVC pipe that will fire at any target you should choose. You will need supplies from a hardware store, but no special skills or tools. You also will need a few supplies commonly found in most households or garages. Do not use your paintball gun except at safe shooting ranges or at authorized and adult-supervised paintball "war games."

Instructions

1. Place a sheet of newspaper on a table. Place the 1/2-inch diameter, 10 inch long PVC pipe horizontally on the newspaper.

2. Cut off the neck of the party balloon with the scissors. Dispose of the cut off neck in the trash.

3. Stretch the opening of the party balloon over the left end of the PVC pipe.

4. Wrap a 4-inch wide, 6-inch long strip of duct tape around the left end of the PVC pipe to secure the party balloon to the end of the pipe. Wrap another 4-inch wide, 6-inch long strip of duct tape around the end of the PVC pipe.

5. Insert a paintball capsule into the open end of the PVC pipe.

Design Your Own Tactics Games

People have been playing tactic games for thousands of years.

Designing a game of your own can be a great way to practice your creative skills, as well as make a fun game for your friends and family. Strategy games in particular are interesting to make because they can be so versatile that every individual is bound to find a strategy game that they enjoy. Anyone with a creative mind and a love of tactics can design a strategy game.

Instructions

1. Pick your genre. Strategy games can take place in absolutely any genre. Whether it is science fiction, old western, renaissance-era or animals, you can use any setting to create a tactics game to fit your likes and dislikes. Having a genre in mind is essential to making a good strategy game.

2. Draft the rules. Decide what units are available, the rules for each unit, and how those units can affect other units or surrounding terrain. The rules will largely be dependent on your setting. For instance, a science-fiction tactics game might need special consideration for spaceships or flying units, whereas a renaissance-era tactics game would not need such rules. When drafting the rules, make sure you are consistent, careful not to make one team stronger than the other. For it to be a true strategy game, both sides should be as equal as possible.

3. Design terms of victory or defeat. Victory does not necessarily only come with wiping out the other side entirely. Nor does defeat always result from losing a vast majority of troops. Perhaps there are other ways to attain victory or be smitten with defeat. Gaining or losing ground is a primary consideration you must keep in mind for strategy. Perhaps if one team loses a certain amount of ground, they will lose, even if they have more troops. Be flexible and creative with victory and defeat.

4. Design the board. This can be as easy as painting a piece of cardboard or as intricate as carving out figures from stone or metal. It does not have to be very artistic, as long as the structures and board you are using accurately represent what the game is about.

The teens can write all over each other and it will show up only under the black light.

Costume Dance Party

Throw a coed dance party for his 18th birthday. Hire a DJ to play his favorite music. If you want to save a little money, let him make a playlist on his MP3 player, or with CDs, and rent some speakers from a local party supply place. Remove Paintball Paint From Vinyl Siding

Remove Paintball Paint From Vinyl Siding

If you have teenage boys in your home, you are probably familiar with the telltale signs of paintballs. Once they hit, the balls burst, releasing brightly colored paint to mark the spot. Unfortunately, your home may become a target for stray paintballs, making it look like a piece of modern art as the balls splatter paint on your vinyl siding. It may look like a mess, but if you act quickly, you can remove the paint with ease. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Clean the vinyl siding as soon as possible once paint has been splashed on the surface. Paintballs are washable and are designed to dissolve in water, but if left for a long period, traces of dye may remain on the siding.

2. Hook up the garden hose and set it for power spray. You will need a forceful flow of water, particularly if the splatters are beyond your reach.

3. Hose down the area that has been hit with paintballs, beginning at the top and working your way down. Work in a back and forth motion to dissolve and loosen paint. Let it run freely down the side of your home. Work steadily to spray down the entire area from the point where the paint begins to the ground.

4. Rinse the siding down with water once you have removed the bulk of the paint. Follow as outlined above to remove any traces of leftover paint residue.

5. Use a mild detergent on stubborn areas if necessary. An extension brush works well to scrub paint from the surface of the siding. Spray down, again working from the highest point to the ground to lift and remove any remaining paint.

Different Kinds Of Grasshoppers

Grasshoppers are known to farmers as pests that can arrive in the thousands, bringing to mind images of locusts swarming plains and wiping out fields of crops. However, not all species of grasshoppers are pests, just a natural part of the ecosystem.

Identification

Of the order orthoptera, grasshoppers are winged, often with horns. Because of their long, powerful legs and wings, most grasshoppers are very mobile and can travel long distances with one leap. While many have colorful wings, most grasshoppers are brown or green.

Types

Though closely related to locusts, grasshoppers found in the United States are not true locusts that cause the devastation found in Africa and Asia. Of the more than 700 species of grasshoppers in the United States, only 40 of them are known to produce outbreak levels that can do substantial damage to croplands.

Types of Pests

The most damaging crop species are the migratory grasshopper, big-headed grasshopper and white-whiskered grasshopper. The two-stripped grasshopper and red-legged grasshopper also have a major impact on cropland.

Desert Locust

The desert locust is the most destructive type of grasshopper, in fact known to be one of the most destructive insects in the world. Desert grasshoppers have plagued Africa, India and the Middle East since Biblical times, a swarm being capable of eating up to 3,000 tons of green plants in a day.

Types of Non-Pests

Some of the more common grasshoppers not known as pests are the club-horned grasshopper, velvet-striped grasshopper, brown-spotted range grasshopper and speckled rangeland grasshopper. In general, any grasshopper who has colorful wings while flying is not a pest.

Make Paintball Splats On Cakes

Just as paintball splatters are random, yours do not need to be perfect.

You now have permission to throw food. Splats for a paintball cake require throwing icing to create the random shape of spatters from being hit by a paintball. These shapes make your cake look like it was attacked by a paintball gun. The paintball splats need to be made at least two days ahead of time to allow the shapes to harden before putting on the cake. Neon food coloring, available in supermarkets and cooking stores, gives these splats their distinctively bright coloring, resembling the shades used for paintballs. Add this to my Recipe Box.

Instructions

1. Whisk together one egg white and 1 cup of powdered sugar with neon food coloring to reach a thick paste of the desired color.

2. Line a baking pan with wax paper.

3. Scoop up a spoonful of the colored icing with a teaspoon.

4. Fling the icing onto the wax paper to make a splat shape. Repeat throwing the icing onto the wax paper to make the paintball splats.

5. Leave the splats at room temperature, uncovered for one to two days or until hardened.

6. Peel the shapes off the wax paper for putting onto the cake.

Measure The Velocity Of A Paintball

Paintball player dressed in camouflage

When shot at a higher rate of speed, paintballs can cause severe and extremely painful injuries. To ensure a safe and fun day of play, you must measure the velocity of the paintballs being shot from your marker. Pay attention to the maximum velocity limit set by the field you're playing at, and don't exceed it for any reason. The international safety limit is 300 feet per second, though some fields will restrict the maximum speed to 280 or even 260.

Instructions

Prepare Your Paintball Marker And Chronograph

1. Find an area free of people, animals and damageable property, where you can safely fire your marker. You should have at least 8 feet of space for the paintballs to travel in front of you.

2. Assemble your marker by following the instructions included with the owner's manual. Attach the air source you'll be using for the marker, following all safety warnings.

3. Pour at least 25 paintballs into the marker's hopper, allowing for several test shots. Multiple readings when checking the velocity allows for a more accurate average.

4. Paintball gun with hopper and air tank attached

Put your paintball mask on for safety, then charge up the marker by pulling back on the cocking bolt and allowing air to flow through it. Treat your marker carefully, as it is now ready to fire and capable of causing physical harm.

5. Power on your chronograph to ensure it has working batteries. Replace them if necessary to ensure you get accurate readings.

Measure the Velocity of the Paintballs

6. Place the chronograph on a level table-like surface, or in the case of handheld chronographs, firmly in your hand with your arm extended in front of you. If you're using a handheld chronograph, you'll need to both hold and fire the marker with your other hand.

7. Aim the paintball marker away from yourself, with the open end of the barrel directly over the chronograph.

8. Paintballs spilling from a paintball tube

Fire a single shot from the marker, and watch the display of the chronograph for a speed readout. Repeat this step three to four times, and roughly average the results. The resulting number is the velocity of each paintball being fired from your marker, calculated in feet per second.

Measure Stock Pull

Fitting the length of pull on your shotgun will lead to improved shooting.

Seasoned hunters recognize the importance of technique, but may not realize the value of a properly-fitted shotgun. The stock, also called the shoulder stock or buttstock, should be supported firmly against the shoulder. Problems such as gun recoil can be caused by a stock that is too long. Length-of-pull, or LOP, is the distance from the point where the center of the butt touches the shoulder to the point where the index finger touches the trigger. Factory-made guns are produced for the "average" shooter, with an average LOP between 14 and 14½ inches, but few of us are average. Learning to measure your personal LOP can help you get an individualized fit without the high cost of a custom-built buttstock.

Instructions

1. Wear your customary hunting clothing. The padding of a thick jacket may alter your LOP. Check that the shotgun does not get caught on your clothes as you mount the gun.

2. Inspect the shotgun to make certain it is not loaded and keep the safety lock engaged. Bend your shooting arm 45 degrees so it is at a right angle to you elbow; keep your palm flat. Place the stock of the shotgun sideways in the crook of your elbow and allow the shotgun to rest along the forearm. Reach for the trigger with your index finger. The joint closest to the fingertip should line up with the trigger. Measure and note the distance you are short or long.

3. Mount the gun and measure the distance between the knuckle of your thumb and the tip of your nose. Ideally, it should measure about 1½ inches or the width of two fingers. Note the distance you are short or long. This is an alternative method.

4. Install a slip-on or screw-on recoil pad to the butt in the size corresponding to the distance your measurement fell short; this will lengthen the LOP. These pads are available in various thicknesses and you can retest the LOP until you achieve a good fit. Spacers can be used for larger adjustments but may need to be custom-ground by a gunsmith.

Collect Free Gun Catalogs

Gun catalogues make it easier to find the make and model you need.

With all the popular gun manufacturers to choose from, a trip to the gun shop can be an overwhelming experience if you don't already know what you want. Firearm dealers and manufacturers often provide free complimentary, full-color catalogs to get you better acquainted with their product line. Having the reading material along with all the exact details and specifications make shopping for a gun easier. Even if you don't plan on purchasing a new gun, the catalog can come in handy as a source of information. All the major gun companies offer free catalogs; you just have to know how and where to request them.

Instructions

Visiting Firearms Website

1. Gun manufacturers offer a wide array of options.

Choose a few gun manufacturers that you are interested in and visit their website. Do a lot of research--there are numerous different gun companies and dealers worldwide--don't limit yourself to the well known popular brands. Explore the industry, and include firearms accessories companies in your search (they also offer free color catalogs). Well-established companies produce high quality catalogs that might even be worth something in the future if kept in mint condition. Their ranks include Ruger, H&K, Beretta, Glock, and Smith & Wesson.

2. Browse through the gun websites and check the different sections and links for any information pertaining to their product line catalog. A number of gun companies willingly offer their catalog to consumers. A vast majority of them only offer their color catalogs in PDF format. Click on the information and follow the instructions listed; you'll usually need to fill out a request that includes a mailing address.

3. Send the gun company a written request if the firearms website you choose doesn't have any link or info on receiving a free catalog. Tell them how much you adore their firearms and how you are definitely interested in adding another gun or rifle of theirs in your collection. If the company believes they can reel in a sale, they will provide you with a catalog.

4. Acquire the correct contact info, some companies do not want to offer free color catalogs but they will if you request it. While others encourage you to. For example, Kimber Firearms provides a direct catalog request email link and a catalog request toll free hot line under their resources link.

Have Fast Paintball Fingers

A couple rubber bands can help increase your trigger speed in paintball.

You have purchased the best high-velocity paintball gun, performed exercises to increase your running speed and stamina, and worked your muscles so you can easily crouch and run, all elements that make your paintball game more effective. Perhaps you have even modified your gun by changing the trigger or adding a ball bearing for smoother shooting. If your game still suffers because other players simply shoot faster than you, you can try some exercises to strengthen your fingers and increase your shooting speed.

Instructions

1. Place one rubber band on your index finger and the other on your middle finger on your right hand.

2. Put the other side of the band around your index finger around the index finger of your left hand and the other side of the band around your middle finger around the middle finger of your left hand. In other words, both index fingers are inside one band and both middle fingers are inside the other.

3. Move your hands to mimic the position you use when holding your gun. If you are right-handed, put your right hand closer to your body. Pull your hands far enough apart that you feel tension in the rubber bands.

4. Mimic squeezing the trigger by pulling toward your body with your trigger finger and then your middle finger. You should feel the pressure from the rubber band. If you do not feel resistance, put your hands farther apart. Pull the rubber band as quickly as you can alternating your fingers for 30 seconds. Rest your fingers for a minute and then repeat the exercise 5 to 10 times daily to build finger strength and speed.

According to shootingspain.com, Spain has a reputation as one of the hardest countries to get a firearms license. In Spain, you cannot own, carry or even use a firearm without a firearm license, which is called an FAC. There also are separate license categories for rifles, pistols, crossbows, shotguns, air guns and others. Each type of license must be earned separately, with its own necessary courses and exams.

Instructions

1. Choose which category of weapon you want your license for. Rifles, pistols, crossbows and air guns all have different classes associated with them, and you need to take each class separately.

2. Sign up for and attend classes for your license. Two-day courses, complete with lectures that are completely in Spanish, are available.

3. Take your licensing examination. Once you pass this licensing exam, you have earned your license for the particular category of firearm that you took the class for. You now have the right to carry, possess and to use that type of weapon.

Get An Sa Gun License

Gun ownership in Southern Australia requires a firearm license.

People wishing to purchase and own guns in South Australia must first obtain a firearms license. This ensures that individuals wishing to own or purchase a gun have passed the necessary background checks and have taken gun safety training. Some gun owners are also required to provide justification for needing a firearm. Justification is typically not required, however, when individuals wish to have a firearm for hunting, target shooting or paintball.

Instructions

1. Gather identification. In South Australia, forms of identification are assigned a point value. To apply for a firearm license, you must show enough forms of identification to reach a total of 100 points.

2. Visit your local police station and ask for a form "PD 303 --Application for a Firearm License." Once completed, turn in the application to your local police station along with your license fee payment. You will have to show your identification at this time.

3. Watch the mail for your training letter, which will be sent if the South Australia Firearms Branch deems you able to hold a firearms license. In some cases, you may also be required to provide justification of your need for a firearm license.

4. Complete the required training and again watch the mail. After you complete your training, the Firearms Branch will mail you a data card.

5. Take your data card to a photo center, along with your 100 points of identification and the means to pay the licensing fees. The photo center will issue you a temporary license. A one-year license costs $70. Three-year licenses cost $182 and five-year licenses cost $289.

6. Check the mail for your photographic firearms license, which you should receive about 28 days after obtaining your temporary license.

Remove A Stripped Screw From An Invert Mini Without A Drill

Use a hex wrench to remove a stripped paintball gun screw.

An Invert Mini is a specific type of paintball gun featuring small parts that may become stripped due to cleaning and the updating of inside parts. Most of an Invert Mini's screws have hex-type heads on the screw fasteners. Without the use of a power tool such as a drill, stripped screw removal options are limited. A simple and inexpensive way to remove a stripped screw is by using a cold weld compound such as J.B. Weld.

Instructions

1. Find a hex wrench that is slightly smaller in diameter than the screw opening. Choose an inexpensive hex wrench as the cold weld product is difficult to remove once it is hard.

2. Rest the Invert Mini on a flat surface with the screw head facing up.

3. Fill the center of the stripped screw with the cold weld compound.

4. Slip the hex wrench inside the cold weld compound and wait the required time for the product to dry.

5. Turn the screw in a counterclockwise motion with the hex wrench to remove it.

Put On Violent J'S Face Paint

Violent J Makeup Template Filled In

The emergence of rap icons Insane Clown Posse (ICP) had a profound effect on not only who listened to rap, but what rap actually was. For years now people have been emulating the rap duo from Detroit. Known as Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope, the duo has been rapping since the release of their debut album "Carnival of Carnage" in 1992 as Insane Clown Posse and were known as Inner City Posse prior to that, according to Wikipedia. The group has such a following it is still common to see people with their makeup at Halloween or at their concerts. And it isn't that difficult to put on face paint like Violent J or Shaggy 2 Dope.

Instructions

1. Draw the outline of the eyebrows using the eyeshadow brush and black grease paint. They should start at the inner corners of your existing eyebrows and go up and out and arch almost to your hairline, circling around to end at the same point. See the Violent J makeup template for an example of what they should look like.

2. Fill in the outlined eyebrows using using your paintbrush and black grease paint. Keep a crisp edge to the black.

3. Draw the outline of a crescent shape using the eyeshadow brush and black grease paint. It should start just below the nose, with the points of the crescent ending roughly at the tops of the ears. The base of the crescent should be just below your bottom lip, and the curve should point to the chin. See the Violent J template for an example of what the crescent shape should look like.

4. Outline a small half-circle that meets the center, bottom of the crescent so it extends into your chin. See the template for an example.

5. Fill in both the crescent and half-circle with black grease paint using your paint brush. Keep crisp lines on the edges. The two shapes should now be one that makes up Violent J's smile.

6. Outline four small rectangles, one above and below each eye, using the eyeshadow brush and black grease paint. Each rectangle should be about an inch long by half an inch wide and point outward from the center of the eye. See the Violent J template for reference.

7. Fill in the rectangles above and below each of your eyes using your paintbrush and black grease paint. Your makeup should now look like the filled-in version of the Violent J template.

8. Fill the rest of your face in using white grease paint and your makeup sponges. Keep your edges crisp and clean so the makeup doesn't look like it is melting.

9. Wash all brushes and sponges in warm water and soap.

Florida Airsoft Rules

Florida Airsoft has strict rules regulating gameplay.

Airsoft is a game which allows players to simulate military combat. Players are grouped into teams that oppose each other in a designated area of outdoor or indoor space. Players are armed with air-powered weapons, firing two-gram ball bearing, or BB, ammunition, made of plastic. The game is played all over the world. In Florida, Florida Airsoft set the rules for game play in the state.

Muzzle Velocity Limits

To keep the game as safe as possible, airsoft weapons must conform to specific muzzle velocities. Muzzle velocity is the speed, measured in feet per second, of a ball-bearing or BB round as it leaves the muzzle of the weapon. For fully automatic weapons, where the weapon continues to fire until pressure is taken off the trigger, the maximum muzzle velocity allowed is 400 feet per second. Semi-automatic sniper weapons are allowed to fire with a muzzle velocity of 500 feet per second. Semi automatic weapons are weapons where a single squeeze of the trigger fires a single round from the weapon. The weapon does not have to be primed between shots. All weapons used for indoor close-quarter battle games must be restricted to a muzzle velocity of 350 feet per second. (reference 1)

Safety Rules

Some rules of Florida Airsoft game play are designed to ensure, as far is is possible, the safety of the players. The rules insist that all players must wear goggles that are fully sealed at all times when they are on the game field. Even if a player is leaving the field of play after being eliminated, the player must keep his or her goggles on. Another rule states that protection must be worn that covers a player's face. Florida Airsoft suggest that players use a full-face balaclava or a full-face paintball mask. Masks must cover the ears and the mouth of players, and must be worn whenever a player is on the game field. (reference 1)

Elimination and Surrender

If a player is hit anywhere on the body by a BB, that player is eliminated. Even if the BB ricochets off a nearby object, such as a tree or a wall, it counts and the player is eliminated. Players are also eliminated if they are hit by "friendly fire," that is to say, by a shot fired by a teammate. Eliminated players should call out that they have been hit, to prevent further hits. If the elimination takes place in an area where active combat continues, the eliminated player should lie flat on the ground until it is safe to leave the game field.

If a player gets within five feet of an opponent, from behind, the player can give the opponent an order to surrender. The opponent must obey the order. Shooting at a distance of less than five feet is not permitted by the rules. (reference 1)
