Make A Homemade Stun Device

There are many benefits to making a protective stun device at home. You can save a significant amount of money, and your device will be less recognizable as a stun device, making it easier to conceal. Your attacker, in this instance, wouldn't suspect a disposable camera to act as a stun device. If you can gather the few simple objects listed and you know properly operate a soldering iron, you can easily make a stun device for a fraction of the retail cost.

Instructions

1. Wear the rubber gloves to protect yourself from getting stunned while you build the device. Disassemble the disposable camera carefully. Kodak brand disposable cameras work really well for making stun devices. Place one of your hands on the front cover of the camera and your other hand on the back, pull your hands apart while gripping both covers, to separate them from one another. Push in on the tabs located on both sides of the camera to release the covers completely. Pull the AA battery out of the electrical board.

2. Pull the film out and remove the electrical board from the camera assembly. Locate the flash bulb in the upper left corner of the electrical board.

3. Locate the two copper pieces on the sides of the flash-bulb socket. Clip the flash bulb away from these copper pieces with the wire cutters. Measure and cut 3 inches off the red and black speaker wires. Solder the black wire to one piece of copper, then solder the red wire to the remaining piece of copper.

4. Cut the rubber coating off of the wires with the wire cutters approximately 1/4 inch of the way down the wires from the ends. Replace the battery, then push the ends of the wires sticking straight out of the camera. Assemble the camera back together and glue the cover in place.

5. Push the photo taking button down to activate the electrical stunning spark from the ends of the wires. When touched to the skin of an attacker, the stunning effect will be powerful enough to compare equally with a lower-grade, commercially manufactured stun gun. Many disposable camera resistors are rated at 330 volts.

Make A Homemade Paintball Silencer

The compressed air that a paintball gun uses to fire a ball at a target is loud enough to betray the presence of the shooter. You can make a silencer that will fit on the end of the barrel of the paintball gun and lessen the noise that the compressed air makes when the trigger is depressed. Your homemade paintball gun silencer will only require a few household items and about 20 minutes of your time. No warranty will be voided by using the paintball gun silencer you will have made.

Instructions

1. Put a sheet of newspaper on a table. Stand the empty 35 mm plastic film case on the newspaper. Put the lid on the empty 35 mm plastic film case.

2. Insert the blade of the utility knife in the center of the lid to make a hole. Twist the blade of the utility knife clockwise to enlarge the hole.

3. Turn the empty 35 mm plastic film case over. Repeat the procedure with the utility knife on the bottom of the empty 35 mm plastic film case. Turn the empty 35 mm plastic film case over.

4. Remove the lid from the empty 35 mm plastic film case.

5. Tear off a 1-foot length of toilet paper from the toilet paper roll. Place the one foot length of toilet paper horizontally on the newspaper.

6. Place the empty 35 mm plastic film case vertically on the toilet paper at the extreme upper left edge.

7. Make a mark at the bottom of the empty 35 mm plastic film case with the pencil. Remove the empty 35 mm plastic film case from the toilet paper.

8. Cut a horizontal strip, starting at the pencil mark, across the length of the toilet paper with the scissors. Discard the rest of the toilet paper.

9. Roll the strip of toilet paper around your index finger to make a tube. Place a piece of cellophane tape on the side of the strip of toilet paper to secure the tube.

10. Remove the lid from the empty 35 mm plastic film case. Insert the toilet paper tube into the empty 35 mm plastic film case. Put the lid back on.

11. Place the lid attached to the empty 35 mm plastic film case onto the front of the barrel of the paintball gun. Your homemade paintball gun silencer will now lessen the sound that the paintball gun makes when it is fired.

Cheats For Building A Boat On "Roblox"

"

Roblox" is a massive multiplayer online game where players are tasked with building solutions to their problems. It's very similar to virtual Legos, and it's meant for players age six and up. Different areas require you to build different things, such as a boat to get across the water in areas like the Fire Sea. Building a boat is actually a fairly simple thing to do, as long as players don't over-think the task.

Basic Box

In order to make a boat you don't need anything more than a tall chunk of building blocks. Take a large, square piece from a stack and set it half in and half out of the water. Stack several more blocks right on top of that one, creating a stack five or six blocks high. Put two smaller, single blocks on top of the stack and then jump your avatar so he's sitting on them. Add arms to the chair, and then click the jump button again. You have a serviceable, though not very pretty, ship.

Size

Boats can be big or small depending on the player's preference. If you make it so big your avatar can't jump up onto it, then add a ladder of small blocks to the rear so that you can clamber up to your seat. The ladder will stay in place so that you can get down as well. Technically you can make a boat with only two or three layers, but if you want to make it bigger that won't present an obstacle until you've gotten so big you're blotting out the screen.

Movement

Once your avatar is settled into the captain's chair, all of the movement controls that would normally move the avatar now move your boat. This is wonderfully convenient, since you don't have to worry about a rudder or tides in "Roblox." Simply move left, right, ahead or backward as you normally would to let your boat sail through the game levels.

Unique Design

This isn't to say that all boats in "Roblox" are just towering boxes that move under their own power. You could design a simple, short raft or you could make a longer ship with a higher stern than the bow in imitation of the galleons that sailed the Spanish Main. Just as with Legos, you can let your imagination run wild if you're looking for style points over quickly completing levels and traveling through areas.

Adjust The Spyder Xtra'S Velocity

The Spyder Xtra is a paintball gun manufactured by Spyder. Like all other paintball guns, it is essential to be able to change the velocity when needed. The velocity of a paintball gun refers to the speed at which the paintball is fired from the gun. A velocity that is too high could break the paintball inside of the gun or cause injuries to other paintball players. Too low of a velocity will reduce the performance of the paintball gun. Adjusting the velocity is simple and will only take a few minutes.

Instructions

1. Locate the velocity adjuster on the back of the Spyder Xtra paintball gun. It is circular in shape and has an indentation for an Allen wrench in the middle.

2. Insert the Allen wrench that was provided by the manufacturer of the paintball gun and twist the wrench clockwise to increase the velocity of the paintball gun. A higher velocity results in a higher feet-per-second speed when the paintball is fired from the gun.

3. Insert the Allen wrench and twist counterclockwise to lower the velocity of the paintball gun. A lower velocity results in a lower feet-per-second speed when the paintball is fired from the gun.

Creative Dating Ideas

Take your date somewhere she hasn't been.

If you're trying to break away from the monotony of dinner and movie dates, start thinking about creative date ideas that will wow your significant other. Consider memorable activities and don't be afraid to try something new. It's not necessary to do something outrageous. Just consider your partner's interests and find something you can mutually enjoy.

Be Active

Take your sweetheart on an interactive date. Try activities like paintball, laser tag, bowling or ice skating. These types of outings allow you both to channel your inner child and do something active and healthy. Other ideas include a trip to the batting cages or hitting up a roller skating rink.

Karaoke

If you and your date are outgoing and love being the center of attention, spend an evening at a karaoke bar. The bar setting allows you both to loosen up, and you can spend the night listening to good music and belting out your favorite tunes. If you're feeling daring, try singing a duet.

Picnic

Picnics are often-overlooked romantic gestures. Prepare a spread for you and your honey and pack it in a cooler with blankets, a deck of cards or a small board game. If you aren't too handy in the kitchen, pick up macaroni salad and potato chips at a grocery store and have sandwiches made at a deli. Spend the afternoon sitting in the shade with your date enjoying good food and the outdoors.

Vineyard

Drive out to a vineyard and spend the day outdoors tasting fine wine. You and your date can rate the wines and purchase your favorite one to enjoy at home. Vineyards are often located in rural areas, so the scenic drive gives you and your date an opportunity to talk and appreciate the landscape.

Comedy Show

For an evening with plenty of laughs, take your date to a comedy club. Often, local comedians perform at comedy clubs for a small cover charge. Many venues also offer food before or during the show. Comedy clubs can be enjoyable icebreakers for new couples and will provide you and your date with plenty to talk about.

Laws For Airsoft

Airsoft guns look similar to actual firearms.

Airsoft is a game played with imitation guns that fire small, nonlethal plastic rounds. Airsoft guns are used for recreational purposes as well as for military and police training. The game of airsoft is nearly identical to paintball, the only difference being the type of weapon players use. Airsoft guns are legal in most regions in the United States; however, several states and municipalities ban or restrict the sale, manufacture, possession and use of airsoft guns.

Markings

Federal law requires all airsoft guns imported into or transported within the United States to display a 6mm-wide orange plastic tip on the barrel. This is to help law-enforcement officers distinguish airsoft guns from actual firearms. Several states require other brightly colored markings on airsoft guns, such as pink lines or orange stripes. Clear airsoft guns may also be mandated by local law to allow law enforcement to see the contents of the gun.

Age Limits

Although the federal law sets a minimum age of 18 to buy airsoft guns, there is no federal age minimum for using or selling airsoft weapons. However, several states do have minimum age limits to buy, use or sell airsoft guns, such as California, where the minimum age is 18. Additionally, many states allow minors under the age of 18 to possess and use airsoft guns when they are in the presence of their parents or with their parents' written permission.

Bans

Some states and municipalities have banned airsoft guns. For instance, it is illegal to sell, possess, purchase or use airsoft guns in Arkansas, according to the Arkansas State Legislature website. Cities such as New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Washington, D.C, also have banned airsoft guns. Also, many cities throughout the United States have banned the use or discharge of airsoft guns within city limits.

Crime Commission

According to FindLaw, someone who uses or brandishes an airsoft weapon in the commission of a crime is guilty of using a deadly weapon to commit a criminal act, usually a felony. For instance, someone who robs a bank with an airsoft pistol can be found guilty of armed robbery. A person who brandishes an airsoft gun during a fight can be found guilty of assault with a deadly weapon. The law makes no distinction between airsoft guns and actual firearms in this case.

Make A Homemade Airsoft Gun

Airsoft guns are hugely popular because they both look like a real gun and can shoot pellets with more force than other toy guns. You can make your own version of an airsoft gun; it may not look as impressive as one bought from a store, but it will fire a pellet with more than enough force to justify its having been made. You will need a few hardware items along with a pump-action water pistol purchased from a drugstore or toy store.

Instructions

1. Empty the water from the pump-action water pistol into the kitchen sink. Let the pump-action water pistol dry.

2. Put a towel on a table. Put the pump-action water pistol on its side down on the towel.

3. Position one end of the straw over the small barrel opening of the pump-action water pistol.

4. Plug the hot glue gun into a wall socket for power. Heat up the hot glue gun. Run a bead of hot glue around the straw to adhere it to the barrel of the pump-action water pistol. Let the glue dry.

5. Wrap electrical tape around the gap between the straw and the barrel. Stop wrapping the electrical tape around the gap after you have circled the straw and barrel 6 to 7 times.

6. Use the scissors to cut the electrical tape off of its spool. Smooth down the end of the electrical tape onto the barrel.

7. Pump the piston of the pump-action water pistol 100 times to build up a lot of pressure for firing off the projectile that will be placed into the homemade airsoft gun.

8. Insert a BB pellet into the end of the straw and slide it down the barrel until it stops at the other end.

9. Take your homemade airsoft gun outside. Hold the gun securely with both hands, sight down the gun barrel at a tree in your backyard and press the trigger.

Choose A Pump Paintball Gun

On the paintball field, having the right gun can be a big part of the key to success. Not all pump paintball guns are alike, and choosing between class, price and the ability to modify are all variables you have to weigh when picking the pump paintball gun that's right for you.

Instructions

1. Choose a class of pump paintball gun you want to use. There are two basic classes: stock class or open class. The stock class is more restrictive, with a gun that has a horizontal tube feed ammunition system placed atop the gun that limits you to about 10 rounds per load, and a 12 gram air cartridge that limits the total amount of shots you can fire per cartridge to 35 or 40 shots. Choose stock class if you're going to be playing with a group that prefers low-fire battles where tactics play a larger role over mass firepower. Choose an open class paintball gun if you're looking more toward standing toe-to-toe with better-armed players. Open class allows you to modify your pump gun, using any size of hopper, air tank or barrel, increasing your accuracy, rate of fire and the cost of your final gun layout.

2. Set a price range and then review the prices of the various guns to find one that's within your range. Entry level guns start at $20 purchased from large department stores, while base guns plus modifications can run you to a little more than $100, and advanced pump guns can cost slightly less than $300 in 2009.

3. Compare the modifications available for each gun and determine if the ones you want are compatible with the models you're considering. Consider the amount of ammo and air you'll need when choosing your gun. For stock class play, the ammo load isn't as much an issue because the guns are limited by the tube and the air connection. For open play your gun choice should be largely based on the modifications you can make and the additional ammo hopper and air delivery system can greatly change the type of play experience you have. Pick a large hopper and a modified air delivery system that allows you to attach an air tank to your gun if you intend on playing long paintball matches. Most pump paintball guns can be modified in this way, but some companies are proprietary, so make sure the gun you buy has the modifications you need available for it.

4. Test fire a few guns to get the feel of the pump action, size and weight of the gun. A stock class paintball gun may weigh as little as 2 pounds while a fully loaded and modified paintball gun can weigh 5 pounds. The 3-pound difference will be felt after a long day of playing, as will an uncomfortable pumping action. So test a few guns, and if possible rent a few to play with for an afternoon before making your final purchase.

5. Pick a gun that comes closest to meeting all of your requirements for play class and modification needs and total feel at your price level.

Make A Hidden Gun Rack

Several full-sized handguns can be hidden behind a medium-sized picture.

Keeping firearms hidden around a home can give some people a sense of peace. They know that no matter where they are in the house, a gun is easily at hand but unknown to everyone else. Making a storage place between wall studs is easy, and several handguns can be safely kept behind a painting or other wall hanging. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Find a spot where a painting will not look out of place yet is convenient if you need to quickly access a handgun.

2. Find the right hand side of a stud at the site by knocking on the wall. When you hear a dull thud instead of a more hollow noise, you have found a stud. Alternatively, use a magnetic stud finder to find the nails in the stud, which also indicates the stud's location.

3. Measure to the left and find the next stud over. Wall studs are often either 16 or 24 inches from each other.

4. Lay the firearms out and arrange them as if they were hanging to determine the measurements of the space you need to cut out of the drywall.

5. Cut out the drywall between the two studs, leaving an open rectangle. A keyhole saw, a rotary tool or even a utility knife can cut through drywall.

6. Cut a 1/2-inch plywood piece to fit into the rectangle, touching against both studs.

7. Place the plywood into the hole against the drywall for the adjoining room and use L-brackets to securely screw it to the studs.

8. Screw cup hooks into the plywood where you'd like the handguns to hang.

9. Position a light wall hanging so it covers the new hole in the wall.

War Games For A Kid'S Party

War Games for a Kid's Party

Whether celebrating a birthday, or just letting off some steam, hosting a party with war-themed games can be a lot of fun. Depending on your budget and the amount of time available for planning, there are a lot of ways that you can incorporate war games into kids parties. Does this Spark an idea?

War Games With Mock Weapons

Dodging projectiles, and lining up the perfect shot to take out your "enemy" can be fun. Playing games with weapons requires instruction and supervision to maintain safety.

One of the classic summer games for American kids is the good old fashioned water balloon fight. Divide into teams and play dodge ball style, or just fill a tub in the center of the yard with water balloons and stand back.

Buy Nerf dart guns from your local discount or toy store, or have your guests bring their own. The foam darts travel faster and further than the old fashioned plastic suction tip darts, and , except at extreme close range, are completely painless. The newer guns come with eye protectors, which will help keep everyone safe.

Boffer swords are another great way to play war. Made from PVC pipe, foam insulation, and duct tape, they can be made for less than $2 a piece. With two or three helpers you can fill your armory with enough weapons for the whole party in a couple of hours. Check out the sword tag Google group in the resources for more information on weapon construction and game play.

If your budget allows, professional paintball and laser tag rentals can be found in many communities. Rates for play typically include a rented weapon , for both laser tag and paintball, and a minimum amount of ammunition, for paintball. Rates can be by the game, or by the hour. Expect to pay $15 to $20 per player.

Athletic War Games

If you prefer to minimize the violence, athletic games with a military theme are a good choice. Capture the Flag can played by almost any size group and requires no special equipment. You will need a large playing field and a flag for each team. Teams place their flags at each end of the field and attempt to "capture" and bring back the other teams flag without getting caught.

To test your guests' mettle, set up your own basic training-style obstacle course. Send players over fences or under picnic benches. Use the features of your yard to create obstacles that challenge your "soldiers" to their utmost. The first player to complete the course wins.

Classic Party Games With a Military Twist

For younger kids, more traditional party games my be a better fit. Try "Pinning the medal on the Soldier" in a twist off the classic donkey game. Blindfold the player and send to tape a paper medal on a cardboard cutout of a soldier. Or play "Sergeant Says" with the same rules as "Simon Says".

Lay eggs randomly across the yard for a "mine field." Divide the guests into teams and send one member of each team across the field blindfolded at a time. The team who gets the most players across without setting off a "mine" wins.

Buy An Airsoft Rifle

With the prices for firearms being fairly high and the interest in them by young kids growing, an alternative that covers both the ownership and the need for safe handling can be found in airsoft rifles. There are three different types of airsoft rifles: spring, electric and gas. With each of those are a vast array of styles and accessories. Each has its own unique properties, and each differ in price.

Instructions

1. Decide which style suits your needs the best. There are airsoft pistols which utilize gas or spring action and are incredibly realistic looking. Some come with the tactical rails found on real pistols that allow you to attach lights and lasers sights on them. They usually have a foot-per-second rating of lower than an airsoft rifle. Airsoft rifles come in all shapes and styles. There are AK47s, M16s, H&K MP5 versions and certain varieties of sniper rifles which are rated up to more than 550 feet per second. These are usually operated electrically or by gas, though some of the lower end are spring action.

2. Shop online for price comparisons. There are numerous dealers online and prices will vary depending on the type gun you buy. Your local hobby shop will also stock a limited variety of airsoft guns and BBs for use in the guns. The benefit to this is that you can try out the guns first in the store before you buy them.

3. Look online for used airsoft guns as well. Many times, someone is selling an airsoft gun to upgrade to a newer style, and the gun for sale has minimal usage. There are many stores which go out of business and sell their guns online at sites like www.craigslist.com to recoup some of their investment.

4. Place your order with whichever vendor has the best price. If you have been able to find one that you tried and liked, do a search online for the best price and buy there. Again, you will more than likely have to have someone at least 18 years of age purchase the gun. This law also requires every airsoft gun to have a blaze orange barrel tip to prevent any confusion with a real gun..

5. Use your new airsoft gun responsibly and in areas that are safe for shooting. Keep it well maintained and lubricated for years of safe and regular use.

Make A Gully Suit

Muted, natural colors blend together to fit into the background.

A gully suit, or more commonly, a ghillie suit, is a full-body camouflage costume used to provide cover in wilderness areas. The irregular texture and natural colors blend in with the environment, whether it is the side of a rocky mountain or a dense green jungle, and may be customized to fit whatever environment you wish to hide in. Whether your goal is to add exciting realism to your paintball tournaments or for nature photography, suits are easy but time-consuming to construct and are simply knotted string, attached to netting, which is glued or sewn to clothing.

Instructions

1. Cut pieces of netting to cover your pants and hooded jacket. You may cover only the back, for prone hiding positions, or the entire suit for complete camouflage.

2. Attach netting with shoe glue and allow to dry completely. Shoe glue gives a flexible hold and will keep your clothing supple while preventing damage when your suit snags on something.

3. Cut jute thread into 25- to 28 inch-lengths and gather into single-colored bunches of four threads. Fold each bunch in half.

4. Thread loops of folded jute through the netting and knot by looping the free ends through the fold in the bunch, repeating until all netting is completely covered. The result will have a shaggy, natural appearance similar to long fur.

5. Check suit for bare patches and add extra bunches of jute where needed.

Make Your Own Camouflage Wrap

Some hunters like to camouflage their weapons as well as their clothes

Camouflage wraps can be used to decorate or protect almost any surface. Some popular items to cover in camo include guns, rifles, paintball guns, binoculars, flashlights and other sport, hunting or survival gear. How long camouflage covers last and how well they work depends on how well they are wrapped. Protective tape wraps allow you to pinpoint the amount of coverage you want for maximum protection. They also look customized, because the tape fits the wrapped item like a glove.

Instructions

1. Check the item you are going to wrap for safety. For example, if you are using a gun or firearm, ensure there are no bullets in it, and make sure the safety is on.

2. Wash and dry hands thoroughly. This ensures no oils or debris from your skin will be transferred to the tape, which can lessen its adhesive properties and potentially ruin your wrap.

3. Pull the end of the tape to begin the roll. Hold the end against the item you are about to wrap. It's important to hold the tape down at the beginning of the wrap until another layer wraps over. The tape will not stick directly to the item; instead, it sticks directly to the rest of the tape.

4. Stretch the tape and begin wrapping around the item. The tape should overlap some to make sure that the entire surface is covered and that it will stick properly. The best overlay is about 1.5 inches for the first wrap and a quarter inch for the remainder.

5. Pull the end of the tape to begin the roll again and repeat steps 4-5 for each section of the item you are wrapping. For example, if you are wrapping a hunter's rifle, you can first wrap the butt of the gun, but you should cut the tape and separately wrap the scope.

6. Check the item to make sure you did not wrap over something that shouldn't be covered. For example, any vents on an item and the front of a scope or binoculars should be completely unobstructed.

Make A Goggle Fan

Goggles

Having foggy goggles has become a normal part of life for many people. Whether you're slicing up the slopes on a new set of skis or running through the wood with a paintball gun, goggle fog is a distraction that can result in injury. A lot of people think of this fog as an annoyance that can not be avoided, but this is actually not true. It is not difficult to eliminate fog from your goggles entirely by installing a small fan to clear away the condensation. If you want to keep yourself safe and maintain pure vision when wearing goggles, follow this simple guide to learn make a fan for your goggles.

Instructions

1. Use a tape measure to measure the thickness of the space on the inside bottom (or top) edge of your goggles. Take note of the measurement in both centimeters and in millimeters so that you will have an accurate measurement in both dimensions.

2. Buy a cooling fan. Once you know how large the space is, shop at a computer parts retailer for a cooling fan that is small enough to fit in the space provided. Clip the connection plug off of the end of the wires for the fan. Cut off a few inches of wire so that you will have extra wire to set up your toggle switch. Also use a set of wire strippers to strip the insulation off of the ends of the red and black wires that are still connected to the fan.

3. Prepare the batteries that will power your goggle fan. Take three AAA batteries and lay them end to end, so that the positive end of one battery touches the negative end of the one next to it. Wrap all three batteries tightly in electrical tape so that they are bound together as a single battery pack.

4. Secure the fan to the goggles. Place the fan on the top rim of your goggles, facing down so that it will blow towards the faceplate. Push your twist ties through the screw holes in the fan and run them through the ventilation holes in the top of your goggles. Twist the ties tightly to secure the fan firmly in place, ready to blow through the ventilation hole onto the plexiglass.

5. Secure the battery pack to the goggles. Use the same method to secure the batteries to the goggles. Lay them across the top of your goggles, then wrap twist ties over the batteries and through the ventilation holes inside the goggles. You now have the fan and the power supply secured and ready to be wired together.

6. Connect the negative cable. Take the black wire that is connected to the fan and attach it to the battery pack. Use a piece of electrical tape to secure the bare wire (stripped in Step 2) to the negative end of the battery pack. This is the flat/bottom side of the battery.

7. Wire the positive cable using your toggle switch. Take a piece of extra wire (clipped in Step 2) and stripping the insulation from each end. Attach one end to the positive side of the battery pack with a piece of electrical tape and attach the other end to one side of your toggle switch. Next take the red wire from your fan and attach it to the other side of your toggle switch. Your circuit is now complete.

8. Test the assembly. Turn the toggle switch on to see if the fan comes on. As long as there is power in the batteries and the switch is turned on, the fan should be working. Turn the toggle switch back off to make sure that the fan will turn off. If there is any problem with the operation of the fan, first check to make sure all wires are connected, then check to make sure that all of the batteries are touching each other.

Create A Paintball Scenario Game

Paintball players lay down cover fire for one another.

Creating a paintball scenario game can be a fun experience. Scenario games allow everyone to do more than just shoot paintballs at each other. Players have objectives that they must complete to win the game. Teamwork is an essential component of scenario games. Capture the flag is widely considered the best and most popular type of paintball scenario game. This game is played at paintball fields all over the country, both backyard fields and public fields.

Instructions

1. Choose a field for your scenario paintball game that suits the number of players you have. An acre of land is a good size for 20 vs. 20.

2. Place a flag in the middle of the paintball field. Each team tries to pick up the flag and carry it back to their starting location to win. If a player is shot while carrying the flag, he must drop the flag where he was hit, and that player is done for the round. If an entire team is eliminated, the other team automatically wins.

3. Place obstacles around the paintball course to create cover. Sheets of plywood, old tires, barrels and pallets make excellent bunkers. Spread these obstacles evenly around the course so that both sides have equal access to them.

4. Obey all safety rules while playing paintball. Masks must be worn at all times. Never shoot anyone within 10 feet. Shooting someone from within 10 feet away can cause swelling, bruising or bleeding.

5. Explain the game and safety rules to all the players before starting. General paintball rules usually include leaving the field when you are shot, do not use full auto mode on your paintball gun, and obey the referees.

Scary Places To Go In Wilmington California

It doesn't have to be dark out to see the scary sites of Wilmgton, California.

Wilmington, California, is located off San Pedro Bay near Los Angeles. It is connected to its much larger neighbor by the Harbor Gateway, a long strip of land that runs parallel to Highway 110. As with most places in California, Wilmington's weather is nice, its scenery is lovely and its activities many. But there are a few places where it might be wise not to go alone.

Banning Residence Museum

Phineas Banning was a Civil War general and one of the founders of Wilmington. In 1864, he built a mansion in Wilmington. Today, it's a museum that offers a large collection of Victorian furnishings and decorative artwork.

While current tours of the mansion allow you to visit its 23 rooms, all restored to their Victorian era elegance, you might want to pay particular attention to the general's office. It is there that Banning and some of his colleagues have been "seen," still plotting their battles. There's also talk that other former residents of the home still wander its rooms. Then again, you might run into them in the one-room schoolhouse or stagecoach barn that occupy the same 20-acre area where the mansion is located.

For more information, call (310) 548-7777.

Drum Barracks Civil War Museum

Another scary Wilmington location with roots in the Civil War is the barracks that originally housed five companies of Union soldiers. It was built in 1862 with the name Camp San Pedro, but that was changed a year later to Camp Drum (shortly thereafter referred to as Drum Barracks) for Richard Drum, a lieutenant colonel. During the war, about 17,000 Californians stopped at the barracks on their way east.

Many of the on-site buildings fell apart over the years, and by 1962 only the powder magazine and an officer's quarters remained intact. Those would have been torn down as well except for the efforts of local preservationists.

In 1987, the barracks building was restored and opened to the public as a museum. Since then, there have been many "sightings" and sounds that might keep the timid away. Staff and visitors have said they've heard unusual noises, such as someone walking through the barracks or dragging a chain along the floors. There's also the "appearance" of a woman named Maria who wears a hoop skirt and gives off a lavender and violet perfume scent. Another smell, that of a pipe, might mean the spirit of a man dressed in his Civil War uniform is making an appearance.

The scary nature of the Drum Barracks was featured on the television series "Unsolved Mysteries" and "Most Haunted."

For information, call (310) 548-7509.

Queen Mary Hotel

There might be many things to keep you on your toes at the Queen Mary Hotel, a former ocean liner from 1936 that made more than 1,000 ocean crossings and is now docked in the Port of Long Beach. Today, it serves as a hotel, but its guests--perhaps the unwelcome kind--supposedly include those who make rapping sounds, speak from empty rooms and appear out of nowhere. There have been more than 50 "sightings," including:

Two women who drowned in the first-class swimming pool and one who died in the tourist-class pool come back for dips.

A beautiful woman in a white dress stops into the Queens Salon.

A boy who fell from the ship has been reported revisiting its hallways.

The laughter of children at play has been heard in the ship's archives room.

A thief who was murdered visits a cabin on the third level. This room is no longer rented to guests.

These are all scary enough, but the one "visitor" the hotel is known for is John Pedder, an 18-year-old crew member who was killed on July 10, 1966, during a watertight drill. Pedder didn't make it through an automatic door in time. The door was No. 13. Many guests have reported seeing this youngster's return to the ship.

Use A Hopper Gun

A Standard Air Hopper Gun

A hopper gun is a tool used in the later stages of modern day home and building construction. Basically it is a gun-like nozzle and trigger connected to a large upright gravity-fed hopper. The underside of the gun’s nozzle then connects via a specialized hose to an air compressor. By pulling the trigger the hopper gun fires the contents of the hopper out of the nozzle in a steady stream or spray. The front of the nozzle is blocked by a metal circle containing many different diameter holes. By lining the appropriate sized hole with the nozzle one governs the diameter of the spray as well as limits the amount of material which can be fired out of the nozzle at any one time. Depending on the consistency and nature of the material in the hopper one can: primer coat concrete floors and cinder block walls or stucco ceilings and exterior walls. Here is a guide on use a hopper gun in stuccoing exterior walls. It should be noted that the same procedure would be used in any application of an air hopper gun; the only difference would be the content of the hopper. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Begin by assembling the different parts of the hopper gun. You will need to either screw the hopper down onto the top of the gun itself or latch it into place depending on the make and model. The air hose should connect to the bottom of the gun’s handle. Simply connect the hose to the gun and the air compressor and start the compressor. Fill the hopper up with water and spray it out of the nozzle to test the gun and ensure no interior seals are broken. Make the appropriate adjustments to the nozzle to get the right size cone of spray. Use the water to clean off the exterior walls you intend to stucco and let it dry off for a few hours.

2. Mix up a batch of stucco in the meantime. Some stucco comes in pre-made buckets, but that is usually more expensive and comes in fewer colors than the dry mixes. Simply follow the instructions on the bag of stucco mix to get it ready.

3. Pour as much stucco as you can into the hopper of the gun. It will be very heavy, but there should be a handle near the top of the hopper itself which will allow you to support the weight of the hopper. Keep the gun close to your body and don’t raise it above shoulder height. Stand about three feet from the wall and spray in wide even strokes. Some people use horizontal strokes and others use vertical. It doesn’t matter which you use as long as the stucco goes on even and smoothly. Continue this until the walls are finished.

4. Finish up by cleaning out the gun. If you don’t clean the gun after each use the stucco inside the gun’s nozzle and seals will dry and clog the gun. Given that stucco has a great deal of cement in its composition, there will be no way to unclog the gun once the stucco has had a chance to dry. Simply fill the hopper up with water and spray it back out until the visible interior of the hopper is clean and the water leaving the gun is clear.

Who Invented The Gun Silencer

The gun has been a part of American culture almost since the very beginning. Since the days of the pioneers and the Wild West, Americans have treasured this particular brand of weapon. Much like any other machine though, there are always accessories and improvements, many of their origins shrouded in confusion. One of these, an image which has been seared into popular culture, is the silencer.

Origin

Hiram P. Maxim is generally agreed to have invented the first commercial silencer. Made of metal, the Maxim silencer fitted onto the end of a pistol and reduced, though did not eliminate, the sound of gunfire.

History

The gun silencer was first marketed as a gentleman's method of target shooting. The silencer reduced the need for ear protection, and enabled people to talk while out shooting.

Problems

During the 1920's and 1930's, silencers were often bought and used by criminals. It's generally agreed that silencers were generally used by poachers trying to bring home meat more than they were used by gangsters or other violent criminals however.

Prevention/Solution

Since it was against the constitution to ban silencers, Congress levied a bill in 1934 that put a heavy tax on owning one. This bill stands today, and owning an unregistered silencer is considered to be federal tax evasion under the law.

Misconceptions

The private ownership of silencers is banned in 17 states, and they are generally considered to be a weapon, although they are only a weapon accessory. It's for these reasons and other suppression attempts, along with the silencer's reputation enforced by spy novels and movies, that the general public often thinks they are illegal to own rather than regulated.

Make A Camo Suit For Fall

Make a camo suit from a sweat suit pattern and camouflaged fleece fabric.

Make a camo suit for the fall from a two-piece sweat suit pattern using earth-toned camouflaged fleece or fleece-backed fabric and an elastic waist and cuffs. The fleece or fleece-backed sweat suit fabric will provide a layer of warmth for crisp autumn weather and camouflage for environments affected by nature's changing seasons. With moderate to advanced sewing machine skills you can make a two-piece camouflaged sweat suit in an afternoon.

Instructions

1. Measure the intended wearer of the camo suit by measuring from the inner ankle to the crotch for the inseam measurement. Measure around the widest part of the chest, under the arms. Measure from shoulder to shoulder and then from the shoulder to the wrist. Measure around the wearer's waist. Write down these measurements.

2. Select a simple pattern consisting of a sweatshirt and elastic-waist pants. Patterns are sized according to clothing size, but if in doubt, consult the measurements on the pattern envelope. Sweat suit patterns are available from various brands in a wide selection of sizes, including plus sizes and big and tall men's sizes. Most simple sweat suit patterns consist of about 3 to 4 pieces.

3. Wash fabric in cold water with clothes detergent. Dry the fabric. Washing and drying the fabric beforehand eliminates the possibility of shrinkage in finished garments.

4. Cut out the pattern along the solid black lines. Don't cut off the arrows protruding from the pattern line as these help in aligning your fabric pieces during sewing so the seams flow straight from one piece to another. A sweat suit is the perfect choice for fall attire as fleece provides warmth without being too heavy. Fleece is easy to clean, which is necessary if your camo suit sees outdoor action.

5. Lay the pattern on the fabric according to the pattern's instructional illustration. Pin. Fleece fabric is available through discount, fabric and craft stores.

6. Remove the pattern pieces from the two fabric sections of the pants. Align the piece edges, lining up the arrows, with the right sides of the fabric touching. Consult the pattern instructions. Pin the pieces with the pins lying horizontally for easy removal while sewing.

7. Sew the pants according to the pattern instructions. Most patterns require a 1-inch seam allowance and a straight stitch. According to the Sewing and Craft Alliance, use a universal sewing needle in needle gauge 60/8 to 120/19 for woven and knit fabric, or if you're using a lightweight fleece-backed fabric, use a 75/11 or a 90/14 needle.

8. Remove the patterns on the sweatshirt fabric. Assemble the pieces as instructed by the pattern, pinning the edges. Sew the sweatshirt according to the pattern instructions.

9. Insert elastic into the casings sewn for the sleeves/pants cuffs and for the waist. Connect a safety pin to the one elastic end. Connect a safety pin to the other elastic end and to the casing opening. Feed the safety pin/elastic through the casing until the pin/elastic emerges from the casing's other side. Using a safety pin makes it easier to feel the elastic in the casing while you're feeding it through. You won't lose the elastic during the feeding if it's attached to a pin and/or the casing.

Small Bachelor Party Ideas

The bachelor party is the groom's last night as a single man.

It is said that a bachelor party should be a man's most memorable night--a formal goodbye to his days as a single guy. While it is customary for the best man to plan a bachelor party, other groomsmen and the groom's friends can help out by contributing ideas and funds. A bachelor party can be one last crazy night out or a low-key get-together for the groom and his closest buds. Does this Spark an idea?

Casino Party

If you can't take your groom to Vegas--fake it at home.

To pull this party off, you can either visit a casino with some of the groom's closest friends (if you're lucky enough to be within traveling distance of one) or throw your own Vegas-themed party. Organize games like poker and blackjack and serve up drinks and finger foods. Cigars are optional.

Vineyard

Gather a few men for a mini road trip and head out to a vineyard. Enjoy a tasting and play a pickup game of soccer or football in the open grass. Rate the wines you've tasted and chip in to buy the groom one or two of his favorite bottles as a nod to his engagement. The groom will love this opportunity to be goofy with the guys outdoors and the stress it relieves before the big day.

Karaoke

Have fun acting silly and watching the groom belt out some of his favorite tunes from his years as a bachelor. Most karaoke bars will only require a small cover fee for entry and do not ask for reservations in advance. Hit up the bar, grab a few pitchers of lager and take turns on the microphone.

See a Game

If the future groom has a favorite sport, he and a few guys can head out to see a game. Check out ticket prices for your local stadiums. Spring for box seats if you can swing it. Wrestling, boxing and Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) matches are options to consider. Grab dinner before the event and make your toasts then. After the game or match, find a trendy bar for drinks and dancing.

Strip Club

You can always go super-traditional and take the future groom to a strip club. Be sure to check with him or his bride-to-be before making these arrangements--you don't want an angry bride days before the big day. If the future groom has been to the clubs in his area, take him out of town for a change of scenery.

Other Options

Some other options to consider:

-Hunting

-Camping

-Paintball

-Golfing

-Road trip (anywhere)

-Fishing

-Ski trip

-Video game tournament

Make A Simple Gun Safe

Safe, secure gun storage is important when firearms are not in use.

Many states and municipalities require firearms to be securely locked away. Gun safes are expensive, extremely heavy and quite bulky. For the gun owner with a mechanical skills, the task of making a simple storage unit that will secure all his firearms in one place, safe from prying eyes, is easy.

Instructions

1. Purchase a heavy-duty vertical steel supply cabinet with two doors. These cabinets are about 60 inches tall.

2. Take out the two lower shelves to make room for any long guns.

3. Glue a piece of fitted carpet onto the bottom of the unit.

4. Glue the wooden blocks to the back interior of the cabinet and three feet high from the base. Space them two inches apart, with the 1-by-2 side placed vertically against the back wall.

5. Attach the hasp to the front doors by drilling holes about two feet from the top of the cabinet and bolting it in place with the round bolt heads facing outwards.

6. Lock the doors closed with the padlock through the hasp.

Get A Gun License In New Jersey

New Jersey's gun licensing laws are considered among the more restrictive in the United States.

New Jersey requires the completion of a number of steps before issuing a license to possess a firearm in the state. A person must be granted a Firearms Purchaser Identification card to buy any firearm, and a Handgun Purchase Permit is needed for each handgun to be purchased. Applicants must complete a questionnaire, supply two references, be fingerprinted and undergo a background check as part of the application process. State law requires approval or denial of permits within 30 days of application, though the state may extend the period. Applicants may appeal the denial of a permit.

Instructions

Application Forms

1. Obtain application form STS-33 for a Firearms Purchaser Identification Card and/or Handgun Purchase Permit from a municipal police department, the State Police or a licensed retail firearms dealer, or download the form from the official state website. Complete the application, sign it and supply contact information for two references. You will need to be fingerprinted at the time of your application; payment (as of 2010) of $60.25 must be made with a certified check or money order made out to the Division of State Police S.B.I.

Submit the application along with form SP 66 - the consent for mental health records search form, available on the official state website - and application fees (as of 2010) of $5 for a firearms identification card and $2 for each handgun purchase permit to the police department where you reside. If your area has no full-time police service, submit the application to the State Police office serving your area. A non-resident of New Jersey can submit the application to the nearest New Jersey State Police station.

2. Obtain a Certificate of Eligibility from a licensed firearms dealer to purchase a shotgun or rifle, including BB, pellet or black powder rifles. The certificate can be downloaded from the official state website. The purchase of any of these firearms also requires the Firearms Purchaser Identification Card and one additional form of identification.

3. Obtain a Concealed Carry permit if you want to carry a handgun on your person. New Jersey is a "may issue" state, so issuance of this permit is at the discretion of law enforcement. Download form SP-642 from the official state website, complete it in triplicate and deliver it to the Chief of Police for your local area or to the Superintendent of the State Police. Submit a money order for $20 (as of 2010) along with four photographs of yourself taken within the past 30 days. The photos must be one and one-half inch square, of your head and shoulders, with no hat, and taken against a light background.

The application also requires endorsements from three individuals the applicant has known for at least the past three years. Concealed Carry permits are issued by a Superior Court judge.

Choose A Gun For Hunting

When choosing a gun for hunting, the question is not which gun is the best for hunting, but rather which gun is the best for you. When picking a type of weapon to take hunting, there are many options, all of them with their own advantages and disadvantages. There are 2 main aspects of selecting a hunting rifle: the situation and personal preference. The right mix of the two will yield the best hunting experience.

Instructions

1. Decide where you want to hunt and what kind of animal you're interested in hunting. The target animal means everything in weapon selection, as quail hunting calls for a shotgun while deer hunting needs a rifle.

2. Choose which caliber of bullet and what bullet type you want to use. This will vary greatly with the location and type of animal. With rifles, if you foresee long, clear shots, a smaller bullet would be better.

3. Think about whether you want a single shot or a repeater. In the case of rifles, almost everything is a repeater for matters of convenience and overall quality, allowing you to get at least 2 shots at a far-away buck before it runs away. Single-shot shotguns are more common.

4. Select the kind of action you want on your weapon. There are 4 main choices: bolt action, pump action, lever action and self-loading. Each has its distinct character and advantages.

5. Consider cosmetic and functional options when available. The length of a barrel is variable, and it affects weight, bullet speed and accuracy. You can also choose between stock materials and metal finish.

6. Read about guns and ammunition on the Guns & Ammo website (see Resources below).

Make A Five Man Paintball Team

An organized paintball team, like this one, should have matching camouflage for outdoor play, or jerseys for indoor play.

Fast-paced, intense and enthralling --- these are some of the words that describe paintball. Starting and organizing a five-man paintball team will allow you to not only enjoy the activity to its fullest, but also to enter matches and compete for money, equipment and pride. It will also allow you to enjoy the sport's competitive nature by pitting you against rival teams from your local area. Your team can practice and hang out together, and you can share one common love: paintball.

Instructions

1. Organize a tryout to find the best and most willing paintball players for your team. Pay attention to players' history, experience and availability of time in order to determine who would serve best on the team.

2. Choose a team name and design a team slogan with your new team members. Also design and have printed a team flag with the team's name, logo and location of origin.

3. Decide which players perform best in which positions (front, middle or back), and make sure their equipment matches that position. Frontmen should be small, agile and quick and have smaller guns and shorter barrels while backmen can be larger and slower, but should have faster guns, longer barrels and more paintballs. Middlemen usually blend the characteristics of the two.

4. Structure a weekly practice and get-together schedule to improve your team's performance and build comradery.

5. Set team rules and expectations so that each member knows what to expect. Add these items to a team contract or statement of mission. For example, you can require that the team members come to weekly practices, and you can expect certain monetary commitments when it comes to team equipment and materials.

6. Find and enter local matches and tournaments (through your local paintball fields). Once your team starts placing high in the results, you can further develop your team's image and popularity through sponsorships.

Choose A Survival Gun

People that spend alot of time in the wilderness often try to find a firearm that will both protect them and feed them in an emergency situation

Instructions

1. Decide what you will most likely need a survival gun for. Do you spend alot of time in bear country ? Do you live near a desert with venomous snakes ? Do you spend days at a time in the backwoods or just an occasional stroll on the nature trail ?

2. Decide on a caliber that fits your needs, if you are in bear country than maybe a 44 mag would be a good defensive gun, and you could bring along some "snake shot" (small shotgun type shells for the pistol) in case you need to hunt some small game for food. If bears are not a threat then maybe a small 22 pistol would be fine to take care of snakes and small game.

3. Once you have decided a caliber that fits your needs it is time to find your survival firearm, (i will only discuss pistols in this article ) I prefer revolvers when in the backwoods reliability and versatility are the advantages of a revolver. A 22 revolver such as a Ruger single six cant chamber and shoot 22 short, 22 long, 22 long rifle, and comes with a 22 mag cylinder also. Revolvers can also chamber and shoot snake shot which is great for small game in larger calibers. When you purchase your pistol be sure to check for any wear or broken parts on used firearms.

History Of White Sox Jerseys

The Chicago White Sox are among the most storied teams in baseball, and their changing uniforms match them in famous and infamous ways alike. Since 1906, the Sox have donned over a dozen different uniform styles. The best have been timeless and classy, evoking immortal baseball jerseys like those worn by the Cardinals or Yankees. The worst... well, the worst may be some of the ugliest uniforms ever worn by a professional sports team anywhere.

Early Uniforms

At the turn of the century, the White Sox wore all-white uniforms with a large blue "C" (for "Chicago") over their left breast. A uniform change took place in 1912: the new outfits featured dark pinstripes, and the "C" was replaced by a large "S" encompassing a smaller "o" and "x." That uniform witnessed both the team's greatest triumph--victory in the 1917 World Series--and deepest shame--the 1919 "Black Sox" scandal in which Sox players colluded with gamblers to throw the World Series.

Intervening Years

The Sox adopted new jerseys in 1932, featuring a crimson "Sox" logo accompanied by a ball and bat. In 1939, the team adopted a variant of the 1912 model, with red letters instead of blue. A more lasting change took place in 1951, when the pinstripes returned and the word "Sox" was written over the left breast in black Gothic letters with red trim. That form remained essentially unchanged for 25 years, though the colors shifted to blue in 1969 and to bright red in 1971 (the pinstripes came and went as well). One other notable uniform change during this period: in 1960, the White Sox became the first MLB team to place the names of the players on the back of their jerseys.

The Horrors of the 1970s

In 1976, the White Sox adopted what is largely considered a fashion monstrosity. Bill Veeck came up with a pullover jersey with the word "Chicago" on the front and a simulated blue collar over a v-neck. It was intended to evoke classic baseball uniforms of the past. It resembled a disco inferno. Even worse, for 3 games in 1976, the Sox wore shorts which revealed their knees to horrorstruck baseball fans everywhere. The shorts soon vanished, but the uniforms remained through the 1981 season.

The Slightly More Tolerable Horrors of the 1980s

Things got better for the Sox in the eyesore department during the 1980s, but only just. Now rejecting the past, they instead adopted a futurist design for their jerseys spelling the word "Sox" in white across a blue stripe highlighted in red. ESPN described it as a "walking beach blanket"--augmented at times by a stylized figure of a baseball player--and though the decade witnessed a number of baseball fashion abominations (the Astros and Padres both come to mind), the White Sox held an honored place among them.

Recovery

Someone in the front office finally came to their senses in 1987 and returned the Sox uniforms to something respectable. The Gothic lettering of the 1950s eventually returned, this time accompanied by a black jersey. The new uniforms commemorated the opening of the new Comiskey Park in 1991. White sleeveless pinstriped jerseys were added in 1999, but as of this writing, the Sox have maintained the same basic look since the early 1990s--including those worn in 2005, when they broke their lengthy championship drought to claim their first World Series title since 1917.

Make A Custom Paintball Uniform

A paintball uniform can be customized to reflect your personality.

Whether you are playing indoor or outdoor paintball, a custom paintball uniform can really make you stand out. Paintball uniforms can be customized with unique designs, patches, letters and numbers. Before customizing the paintball uniform, purchase a uniform that fits your personality. For example, buy a uniform that fits comfortably and has the color you want. Once the paintball uniform is in your hands, it can be customized in hundreds of different ways.

Instructions

Add Patches

1. Purchase patches that will be used to display information about the player. For example, if the paintball uniform is used for team tournaments, purchase a patch that resembles the name of the team. If the team is named "The Wolves", purchase an embroidered patch of a wolf. Other patch designs can be of the player's nationality or team crest.

2. Place the patch or patches on the top portion of each sleeve. This is where the patch will be constantly seen by the fans, team members and opponents.

3. Run two feet of thread from the spool through the eye of a thin sewing needle. Cut the leftover thread from the spool with the scissors.

4. Sew around the perimeter of the patch with the needle and thread starting at any side of the patch. Continuously run the needle and thread through the patch and jersey until the patch is sewn on. Cut the remaining thread off with the scissors.

Iron-on Designs and Characters

5. Purchase designs, letters and numbers that can be ironed onto the paintball uniform. These ironed-on supplies can be purchased at any craft store for under five dollars per design and under three dollars per character. Buy designs and characters that have contrasting colors to the color of the paintball uniform. For example, buy white numbers for a black jersey so that the numbers can be seen clearly.

6. Place the paintball uniform on the ironing board. Lay out the design, numbers and letters to be used on the front and back of the paintball uniform. Use the ruler to space the letters and numbers evenly apart. The letters and numbers should be no farther than two inches apart from one another. The back of the uniform can have the player's number in the center and the player's name ironed-on in between the shoulder blades. The front of the uniform can have the design ironed-on in the center and the team name positioned above the design.

7. Plug the iron into a wall outlet and set the heating temperature to low. Once the iron has heated up, press the iron down on each character or design in three-second increments. Continue pressing down the iron periodically until the design, letters and numbers have adhered to the paintball uniform. Allow the design and characters to cool on the uniform for 10 minutes before wearing it.

Build Your Own Full Size Paintball Tank Apv

This player won't even stand a chance against your APV.

If your team has an armored personnel vehicle, capable of resisting any onslaught of paint balls and allowing you to trudge forward in battle while hosting an offensive retaliation--well, your team will probably end up on top. Such a vehicle is possible to build from simple materials because paint balls can't penetrate glass, wood or even thick cloth. Your vehicle is also highly customizable, with millions of options and ideas able to be incorporated into the design.

Instructions

1. Craft a design before purchasing materials. You are going to want to cover all openings into the vehicle's interior in a way that protects the occupants, but also allows them to return fire and see.

2. Measure the dimensions of the window or opening.

3. Cut plywood to fit window, with 1 or 2 inches overhang all around.

4. Cut desired window-hole in the plywood sheet with the saw. This will later be covered with fabric, allowing for return fire and visibility.

5. Attach the plywood over the window with the wood-to-metal screws and electric drill. If the angle of the window is too steep to allow one piece to cover it, cut the piece in half and attach them together at the proper angle.

6. Cut your heavy cloth into appropriate sizes for the openings in your new plywood windows.

7. Nail the cut cloth around the opening on all four corners with the hammer and small nails, leaving slack to allow you to slide the barrel of a paintball gun out, but also tight enough to catch or stop paint balls.

8. Repeat Steps 2 through 6 for each window or opening.

Make Your Invert Mini Faster

Make Your Invert Mini Faster

The Invert Mini is a compact, close-quarters paintball marker that is highly customizable. As an Invert Mini owner, you can upgrade everything from the barrel to the trigger. However, making the marker shoot faster is one of the best upgrades since you can gain a better advantage on the opposing team. The Mini comes pre-loaded with five firing modes (Semi-Auto, Ramping/PSP, Full-Auto/NXL, Ramping/Millen) that can be changed by using a button on the stock board. In addition, you have the ability to raise the firing speed to a maximum 20 balls-per-second (BPS).

Instructions

Change the Firing Modes

1. Lay the Invert Mini down with the barrel facing left.

2. Remove the hex key from your Invert Mini tool kit. Unscrew the screw on the battery door's foregrip, and remove the battery door.

3. Locate the tiny black button located to the right of the battery and click it one time until the LED behind the foregrip lights up solid red. Once the light is red, click the button two times for PSP/Ramping, three times for Full-Auto/NXL, or four times for Ramping/Millen. If you would like to "downshift" the modes, you must click the trigger instead of the black button. After you click the button the desired number of times, the LED light will blink that many times to confirm that you are in the right mode.

4. Replace the battery door and tighten the door screw.

Change the Balls-per-second (BPS) Speed

5. Lay the Invert Mini down with the barrel facing left.

6. Remove the hex key from your Invert Mini tool kit. Unscrew the screw on the battery door's foregrip, and remove the battery door.

7. Locate the tiny black button located to the right of the battery and click it twice until the LED lights up a solid green color. After the light is solid green, click the black button the desired number of times. For example, if you would like your Invert Mini to shoot 10 BPS, click the black button 10 times. After you click it the desired number of times, the LED light should blink that many times. For example, if you clicked the button five times, the LED should blink five times. Just like the firing modes, you may "downshift" the BPS using the trigger.

About Soldier Field Stadium

About Soldier Field Stadium

Soldier Field is a stadium located in Chicago, Illinois. Currently the home of the NFL's Chicago Bears, the stadium has been utilized for over sixty years for many events. Originally named Municipal Grant Park Stadium, the facility was renamed as a memorial in honor of U.S. soldiers that died in battle.

History

Plans were first drawn up for a stadium on the lakefront in 1919 and ground was broken in 1922. Municipal Grant Park Stadium officially opened on October 9, 1924 with the intention of hosting a wide variety of public events. On November 27, 1926 the stadium was formally rededicated as Soldier Field during the Army-Navy game, the only time the annual gridiron match was ever held at the stadium.

Specifications

Soldier Field is located between South Lake Shore Drive and South Museum Campus Drive in Chicago, very close to Lake Michigan. Original costs for the stadium exceeded $10 million and subsequent renovations between 2001 and 2003 cost $600 million. The stadium sits on a seven-acre site and has a current capacity of 61,500, though originally the figure was 74,240. Use of the sidelines and stadium floor increases the capacity by over 30,000. The stadium field was originally grass, then astroturf from 1971 to 1987, and since 1988 is grass. Until its renovation, the structure was designated a National Historic Landmark.

Notable Events

In 1927, Jack Dempsey and Gene Tunney boxed for the world heavyweight boxing championship at the stadium. In 1964, Martin Luther King, Jr. spoke during a rally for racial injustice. In 1994, the venue served as host during the opening ceremonies and several matches of the 1994 World Cup of soccer. The Grateful Dead played their final concert as a full band in 1995 here as well.

Bears

The Bears have called Soldier Field home since 1971. The stadium has the smallest capacity of any team in the NFL, but has seen many important games. NFC divisional playoffs where the team was victorious include the so-called Fog Bowl in 1988 where the Bears edged out Philadelphia 20-12 in visibility of less than 20 yards, and a 2006 win over the Seahawks that led the Bears to the Super Bowl.

Today

After the extensive renovations were completed in 2003, a federal committee recommended that the stadium be removed from National Historic Landmark status. Though many complained of the new exterior of the stadium, just as many sung the praises of the interior. Seating and sight lines, in particular, are of good quality. Seats at the center of the field are less than 60 feet from the field, one of the shortest in the league. On the east side of the stadium, there are three decks of seating, including a club level. On the west side, there is an additional top level. The venue also offers greater access for wheelchairs, ATM machines and single luxury seats. Concourses are wide and well ventilated, bathroom stalls are numerous and concession stands are numerous.

Remove Scratches From Plastic Lenses

Plastic lenses scratch easily, but the scratches can often be removed.

Many eyeglasses and sunglasses are made out of plastic. Plastic can scratch quite easily, and scratched lenses are more than an annoyance--they can affect your ability to see objects clearly. Restoring clear vision doesn't mean you need to buy a new pair of glasses; you often can remove scratches from plastic lenses.

Instructions

1. Apply a thick coating of glass etching compound to both sides of your plastic lenses. Let the cream sit for five minutes, then wash it off with cold water. This alone may remove many or all of the scratches.

2. Apply liquid furniture polish to a rag, then rub it on the lenses. Wash with warm, soapy water, then repeat. This technique is especially useful if the scratch coating is peeling off.

3. Apply metal polish, which often works on even badly scratched plastic. Place the polish on a soft cloth, then rub it on the lenses for three to four minutes. Wash and dry the lenses.

4. Rub cigarette ashes into deep scratches, then rinse the lenses. Repeat twice. This method generally isn't as effective as the methods listed above.

Cut And Crown A Rifle Barrel

Rifle muzzles are usually crowned to minimize turbulence at the muzzle.

Gun muzzles are "crowned," or angled away from the center of the muzzle, in order to minimize turbulence at the muzzle. Crowns give burning powder and propellant gases a place to go that is not in front of the bullet. By convention, most muzzle crowns are cut at an 11-degree angle from square. There does not seem to be an empirical reason why the crown cannot be 10 degrees or 12 degrees. If you have the right tools, there is no reason why you cannot cut and crown a rifle barrel yourself.

Instructions

1. Wrap the end of the barrel with masking tape. Draw a pencil line where you intend to cut.

2. Put a metal miter box on a workbench. Put the barrel in the miter box and align the pencil line with the 90-degree cut angle in the box.

3. Immobilize the barrel, or firearm, in the miter box by fastening the barrel, or firearm, to the work bench with two padded C-clamps.

4. Insert the blade of a hacksaw into the 90-degree cut angle in the miter box and saw until the barrel is cut completely through. Remove the C-clamps. Remove the rifle, or barrel, from the miter box.

5. Remove any burrs or rough spots with a fine, flat file. Generously apply cutting oil to the new muzzle.

6. Attach an 11-degree reamer to a large tap handle. Insert the reamer into the muzzle and deliberately turn the reamer until the desired crown is achieved.

7. Polish the new crown with fine emery cloth until the crown is completely smooth.

Adjust A Trigger Pull

Adjust a Trigger Pull

An experienced gunman, whether in military service or an avid hunter, knows how he prefers his weapons and what setups allow for the best use. One of these setup techniques is trigger pull, or the amount of pressure needed on the trigger in order to fire the gun. The desired trigger pull will vary depending on the user; for many experienced gunmen the default trigger pulls on manufactured weapons may be too tight. You can adjust the trigger pull on weapons, but do so with care, as guns can be delicate and dangerous tools.

Instructions

Adjustment

1. Disassemble the gun so that you can work on the trigger without being limited by the rest of the gun. When looking at the trigger with it facing to your right, you will see three screws: the over travel screw (top right), the trigger pull screw (bottom right) and the sear engagement screw (left side).

2. Scrape away the glue that holds the screws tightly in place, using a plastic scraper. If necessary, dab a small amount of mineral spirits onto the screws with a cotton swab to loosen the glue.

3. Unscrew each of the three screws so that you can see the first three or four threads of the screws. Depending on the manufacturer and model of the gun, these can be either slotted or allen head screws.

4. Add a drop of gun oil lubricant to each of the screws and move the screws in and out of their slots a few times to ensure that they will pass safely for adjusting.

5. Unscrew the trigger pull screw until the trigger is still staying in place but it takes very little pressure to pull it backwards. If you pull it out too far, the trigger will go back on its own; you need at least a little resistance to continue. Unscrew each of the other two screws slightly so that you can adjust them as necessary.

6. Close the bolt at the top of the trigger, but do not pull the trigger or dry fire the gun. With the bolt closed, slowly turn the left hand screw until you hear and see the firing pin drop. Back this screw out about half a turn; you should now be able to wiggle the trigger with almost no effort.

7. Screw in the over travel screw (top right) slowly until you feel it barely touch the trigger. Back the screw out about quarter of a turn; this screw will now prevent the trigger from wiggling with such light pressure.

8. Turn the trigger pull screw until you have the trigger at an acceptable trigger pull setting. Cock the pin and pull the trigger a few times to check your adjustment.

Safety Check

9. Slam the bolt closed at least 12 times and check to see if the firing pin drops. If it does, unscrew the sear engagement screw by a quarter turn and try again, until the pin stays in place all 12 times.

10. Cock the firing pin and set the trigger to "safe" and pull the trigger. Repeat the process with the setting on "fire." Repeat both of these actions three to four times to make sure the firing pin stays in place; if it does not, tighten the trigger pull and try again until the pin stays in place.

11. Coat each screw with at least two layers of nail polish; color and make does not matter. This will hold the screws in their places much the way the adhesive that you previously removed was working.

Make A Cardboard Vest

It's easy to make a cardboard vest to fit a man or woman. You might already have the materials at home. You can use boxes made of corrugated cardboard or poster board from the dollar store. Soft corrugated cardboard works best because its flexibility allows it to bend around the body easily. Unless you have a very large box, you might need to tape two or three pieces together with masking tape for a good fit. You can even put pockets on your vest. When you make a costume, it can be as elaborate as you wish.

Instructions

1. Take a vest you presently wear to use as a pattern, preferably one with a V-neck so the cardboard doesn't rub against your skin. Lay it open on a large piece of corrugated cardboard, or tape enough pieces together with masking tape so it's wide enough to fit. Trace the vest on cardboard, including the outside edges, bottom angles, armholes and neck placement. Set the real vest aside.

2. Cut out the armholes. Even off the V-neck, making it round in the back until the edge is smooth enough that you can wear it comfortably against your neck. Fold the sides over the front, envisioning it as a real vest with the front open.

3. Gently try on the vest to make sure it fits, taking care not to tear it. The size should be nearly correct because you traced it. Make any adjustments now by cutting down rough or long edges with scissors.

4. Cut out four square pieces of cardboard that can serve as pockets. Put a crease in each just enough so it can open. Place two pockets low near the waist and two on the chest. Tape the pockets onto the vest on the sides and bottom of each, leaving the top of the pocket open.

5. With a thin marker, draw a line down each side of the front of the vest to look like a zipper. Draw short, horizontal lines alongside the length of the zipper to represent teeth.

6. Tuck a handkerchief into one pocket for a realistic touch.
