Tips On Aiming An Airsoft Gun

Airsoft is popular hobby among people of all ages, though more prevalent among those in their late teens or twenties. Much like in paintball, gunfire is simulated through the use of non-lethal means; however, instead of firing balls of paint with the aide of carbon dioxide, Airsoft guns fire small plastic pellets, roughly the size of BBs. With many of the pistol-sized guns having to be re-cocked every pellet, proper aiming is essential for success.

Holding Your Gun

It's a simple concept, but one that many players overlook. Your gun should be held as if it actually were the firearm that it is modeled after. This is particularly true with pistols, where there is little kickback and it can feel perfectly comfortable to hold the gun and fire one-handed. Thus, many players will hold their gun whichever way they feel like. Take the time to identify proper firing stance for your weapon. With pistols, this will entail your dominant hand holding the gun and your non-dominant hand helping to steady it. With larger weapons, there will often be butt-plates, to be nestled against your dominant shoulder, and front grips, separate from the trigger, to be held in your non-dominant hand. Proper form will help keep your gun steady and improve your overall accuracy.

Learning Your Flight Trajectory

No two Airsoft guns will fire entirely identical. While precision is implemented in the construction, there will be minor differences in pellet trajectory from one gun to the next. Learn aim every new gun you buy. Take your gun to an open space, and bring a fresh bottle of pellets with you. Starting at a distance of around 20 feet, aim your gun, look down the sights, and fire off a shot. Through time, by taking note of where shots are going relative to where you are aiming, you can learn the path your gun shoots down, and properly aim at a target in a game. As you get more comfortable with your aim at the short distance, you can slowly progress further back, maximizing the range in which you feel comfortable hitting a target.

Field Testing and the Need to Re-Learn

Just as no two guns will ever fire exactly alike, through time, your gun will experience general wear-and-tear and will require servicing. You should always re-learn your gun's trajectory after any parts replacement or servicing. In addition, even if you are still using the same setup as your prior off-field testing, your gun's path may change with time as the parts in your gun become more used. If you notice your accuracy dropping during a session, take the time to re-learn your gun's path, as it may have shifted.

Use An Air Rifle In Sports Shooting

Teach kids sports shooting safety with an air rifle! An air rifle is a great tool when kids are learning the basics of sports shooting. Air rifles don't kick like a high powered rifle, so kids can handle an air rifle easier. High school 4-H Clubs have air rifle teams. So do the Olympics. Follow these basic steps for kids and adults alike to have a blast with air shooting!

Instructions

1. Purchase a spring discharge or compressed air discharge gun. Any local sporting goods store that carries guns can help you choose.

2. Buy a supply of paper targets. They can be found in most sporting goods stores and many discount stores. Steel targets are also used in many competitions. You'd be surprised at how forcefully a compressed air discharge gun can knock down a steel man!

3. Mount the air rifle just as you would any rifle, with your head down and face against the stock. Air rifles are a great tool for working with eye-to-hand coordination.

4. Relax and keep your eye on the center of your target. A firm squeeze of the trigger and concentration will bring success.

Fun Ideas For A 35th Birthday Party

Celebrate being young and active with a fun 35th birthday party.

Thirty-five is not what it used to be. Nowadays, for many people the early 30s are a time of firsts: first marriage, first house, first child. Furthermore, now that many people live healthy and active lives well into their 80s, approaching 40 hardly means the end of having fun. Nevertheless, it has probably been a while since you went out to the club or bar to party all night with your friends. A 35th birthday is a good excuse to take time out to remind yourself and others that despite your busy life, having fun is still important. Does this Spark an idea?

Out of the Rut

Is there something that you've always wanted to do but didn't take time for? Even though 40 is no longer considered "over the hill," you can still use approaching "middle age" as a wake-up call to shake you out of a rut. Whatever it is you've forgotten to do -- whether it's indoor rock climbing, partying in a hotel room or trying out new food at an exotic restaurant -- a 35th birthday party can be your opportunity. For that matter, maybe you've never tried laser tag or paintballing. Now is your chance. The more uncommon or unlikely the event, the more your friends are likely to have fun and thank you for giving them the opportunity to step out of routine.

Pop Culture Nostalgia

Host a pop culture nostalgia party where guests come dressed as celebrities and characters from the era when you all went to high school or college. For example, if that was the '90s, guests can come dressed as characters from big TV shows from the era, like the characters from "Friends," "Seinfeld" or, for a dose of teenage nostalgia, "Beverly Hills 90201." Put together a party play list that includes your favorite songs from this time of your life, but throw in a few cheesy big hits as well. You may surprised at how the radio hits that annoyed you at the time spark at least as many memories as your old favorites. If you have karaoke equipment, so much the better. Although such parties offer an opportunity for reminiscence, you're too young to be "reliving your youth." So keep the emphasis on remembering how silly you were in your teens and 20s and saying goodbye to that time of your life.

35 Things Scavenger Hunt

For a birthday party option that's as inexpensive as it is fun, have a "35 Things" around-the-town adult scavenger hunt. Get to know your town (or area, if you live in a big city) while you and your friends run around finding 35 things to bring back or photograph. Try to incorporate the "35" theme as much as possible in the list of items, too. Find a receipt for 35 cents, photograph a license plate with "35" in it, find a restaurant that serves a $35 steak dinner, find a 35-year-old bartender and get your picture taken with him (holding his ID), and so on. The theme will provide an extra challenge for both the scavenger hunt planner and the teams.

Gun Sight Installation Tools

Gun Sight Installation Tools

Gun sight installation requires precise calculations and measurements in coordination with appropriate tools. The most important thing to take into consideration when performing sight installation is the fact that if your measurements are off only slightly, the sight will be practically useless. Having the appropriate tools for gun sight installation is critical for the weapon to perform accurately and dependably.

Dial Caliper

One of the most important tools you will need for sight installation is a dial caliper. This device is a sliding ruler shaped almost like a wrench with a pinching grip on the end for making precise measurements down to hundredths or thousandths of an inch. A dial mounted on the side of the ruler will make revolutions with its needle as you slide the ruler into a precise measurement. Revolutions within the dial represent the degree to which your measurements are calculated. Because many gun manufacturers use dovetail cuts for sight mounting, you will use this tool to measure the precise length and width of the dovetail groove and distance from the groove to the end of the barrel. After measurement, minor filing or machining of the slide may need to be applied to properly install a custom sight.

Padded Swivel Vise

A tool required in all gunsmith shops is a swiveling padded vise. Sight installation can be performed much easier with this tool than with an ordinary shop vise. Some novice gunsmiths or gun enthusiasts may use a regular pinching shop vise, but this tool is not suited for working with delicate metal parts because it will leave abrasions and easily scratch the slide, rendering your work poor and sloppy. A padded swivel vise can easily be locked into workable positions that an ordinary vise cannot perform. The pads allow you to firmly secure the gun slide, barrel or any other part you may be working on into the vise without harming the soft metal used in most gun parts. The swivel action of the vise allows you to get into hard-to-reach places, in the nooks and grooves of the slide, and allows you to perform measurements with ease and without manipulating your body into awkward positions to perform your gunsmith sight work.

Punch Tools

All gunsmiths and gun owners need to have an appropriate punch tool or set of punch tools calibrated for multiple pins and holes. These tools are used for many tasks, most commonly pinned sight removal and installation. Other functions that punch tools perform can be removing trigger mechanisms, firing pins and safety locks. Since most weapons are manufactured with customized pins of different depths and diameters, a punch tool is normally provided or can be obtained through a specific gun manufacturer. Punch tool kits are widely available at most gun stores, and will fit most modern pins and holes for removing tiny parts. However, you may need to purchase a special punch tool for your weapon if a sight pin is included in the sight assembly. A good gunsmith hammer is also needed in conjunction with the punch tools simply for knocking the pins out. An ordinary hammer will not be suitable for gunsmithing, and metal hammers should never be used on a weapon. Hammers are made specifically with plastic, nylon or phenolic tips for proper gun work.

Fix A Tippmann A5 That Sputters

A paintball marker that sputters can cut a paintball match short.

The Tippmann A5, like many other paintball markers, can be prone to sputtering. Sputtering is when the trigger is depressed on a paintball marker that is connected to an air source but does not correctly shoot. A decreased amount of gas makes its way through the paintball marker, which keeps the marker from recocking. This can result in decreased performance and even the inability to fire. Fortunately, it is relatively simple to fix this problem.

Instructions

1. Check to see if the air source that is being used is full. HPA air tanks come equipped with a gauge to determine the amount of pressure left in the tank. CO2 tanks do not have a pressure gauge. To determine if there is air left in a CO2 tank, slowly screw the CO2 tank onto the paintball gun. If it hisses loudly, there is CO2 in the tank. Otherwise, it is empty and should be refilled by a professional.

2. Check the o-ring on the top of the air tank. An o-ring is a flexible doughnut-shaped ring that fits around the valve of the air tank. If there are cracks or pieces of rubber missing, the tank will not correctly attach to the paintball marker. Pull it off the tank and put a new one in its place.

3. Adjust the regulator on the paintball gun according to manufacturer's directions. If the pressure is too low, the proper amount of CO2 or compressed air will not enter the paintball marker. Consult the manufacturer's directions of the aftermarket regulator for these adjustments.

Work A Glock Trigger

New Glocks can be a little stiff, so you should break them in.

Glock is a company that has a reputation for making high quality, long-lasting firearms. The Glock nine millimeter particularly has been featured in a number of films that showcase its craftsmanship (particularly the re-make of the movie "The Fugitive"). However, new Glock handguns may need some work to break them in as regards the firing mechanisms, particularly the trigger which may be still at first. There are, however, a few things that gun owners can do to loosen up their new firearms.

Instructions

1. Disassemble your Glock and make sure there's a proper coating of oil on the moving parts. Pay special attention to the slide rails and the trigger assembly. There should be a thin, smeared coating on the metal, not a thick coating.

2. Reassemble your Glock and dry fire it. Dry firing the weapon doesn't do the mechanism any actual harm and it will get you used to the pull on the trigger. Additionally it can help loosen the initial stiffness that a piece fresh from the factory floor will have.

3. Buy some high quality ammunition. The first few thousand rounds that you fire from an automatic should be manufacturer quality rounds (no re-loaded or mixed bag bullets). Take your rounds to the range and fire a few hundred per trip. The more the tool is used (within reason) the better response the trigger will have.

Fill A Co2 Tank For Paintball

Co2 tank.

Paint ball can be fun, especially if your tanks are full. Here's the on filling a compressed air / co2 tank.

Instructions

1. Paint ball markers can use a few different types of air supply. Most common is CO2 and compressed air. Some markers are either designed to use a specific type of air supply or just run better on certain air. Following the manufacturer's recommendations should help.

2. Your tank should have a valid hydro test date on it. Some places may not fill a tank due to the service date being expired. If you are using CO2, most local sporting goods stores along with some Walmart locations can fill the tank. They will use a scale to determine the amount of CO2 that has been put in the tank and then they will bill you for it.

3. Compressed air is a little different. Most paint ball shops or paint ball fields can fill those. Compressed air operates at a higher psi rating. Local sporting good stores do not usually have this type of air supply. Paint ball fields normally carry all the popular air supply systems so filling before you play and then after is a good idea. Leaving with a full tank allows you to have air to tune your marker or practice at home.

Repair Cordura

Cordura is a fabric used in some camping and sports gear. When the fabric has a hole in it, sewing the hole isn't possible, as this compromises the fabric's waterproof integrity. However, it is possible to repair Cordura using a patch and glue.

Instructions

1. Lay the Cordura item on a flat surface with the outside of the fabric facing up. Line up the edges of the hole as best as you can.

2. Place a piece of transparent tape over the edges of the hole. The tape keeps the fabric stationary while you repair the Cordura.

3. Turn the fabric over so you can repair the hole from the rear of the fabric. Be careful when doing this so the tape on the front holds the fabric in place.

4. Cut a piece of Cordura repair material (see Resources below) to fit on the backside of the hole using scissors. It should measure ¼- to ½-inch larger all around than the hole.

5. Apply a thin layer of waterproof cloth sealant, such as Shoe Goo or Seam Grip, around the torn edges (see Resources below). Let it set for 2 minutes.

6. Lay the patch over the sealant. Smooth it out from the middle of the patch to the edges to remove any air bubbles and evenly distribute the sealant.

7. Put a sheet of wax paper over the patched area. Lay a flat object, such as a book or sheet of wood over the wax paper. Place a heavy object on top of the flat object. A gallon jug filled with water or sand is ideal. Let this set for 24 hours.

8. Remove the heavy object, flat object, wax paper and transparent tape. Check the edges of the patch to see if they are secure. If they aren't, place a thin layer of the sealant around the edges to secure them. Let the sealant set for 24 hours.

Throw A Clean Bachelor Party

Choose your guest list carefully if you want to keep the party clean.

The stereotypical traditional bachelor party involves celebrating a friend's upcoming marriage and having some adult fun. This can involve either visiting an adult entertainment facility or having an adult entertainer visit the party. This is not the only way to hold a bachelor party though. Some bachelors might feel uncomfortable with these activities considering their impending marriage. If that is the case, you can have a clean bachelor party and still celebrate the upcoming wedding.

Instructions

1. Select a group of friends that you would like to have at your bachelor party, and give this list to your best man. Since you wish to have a clean bachelor party, choosing your guest list carefully is important. Some friends that you think will go overboard and ignore your requests should be kept off the list.

2. Choose an activity the groom and his friends enjoy doing. It could involve a local event, or traveling somewhere to get out of town for the weekend. In a clean bachelor party, the camaraderie is important.

3. Visit a favorite restaurant or bar with the bachelor party. This will give you an opportunity to talk and relive some of the times of your lives you have enjoyed together. This is a chance for you to catch up with old friends and to bond with other guests that are at the bachelor party.

4. Play some games with the bachelor party. These don't have to be the corny party games that are held at some wedding showers and bachelorette parties. Consider playing cards. Just because the party is clean, doesn't mean you can't do any gambling. Keep the stakes relatively low, though, so everyone feels comfortable participating.

5. Make it a memorable night. There are many different ways you can make the clean party a memorable night. This might just involve having a toast together celebrating the bachelor's upcoming wedding, or it can be something a little more risky. You might all go out as a group and do something you have never done before such as bungee jumping, or make it a day long activity and go sky diving. Doing these kinds of activities will give you an experience to share, even if it didn't involve hiring a female entertainer or visiting a strip club.

Fill A Bug Out Bag

A bug out bag is a bag, or backpack, that you can grab in an emergency. If you have to unexpectedly leave your home, for several days, one of these bags, loaded with essential supplies, is a great item to take with you. Although you can personalize the items in your bug out bag, there are some basics that everyone should include in theirs.

Instructions

Supplies to Keep You Warm

1. Start with a sturdy backpack. A backpack is the easiest way to store a large amount of supplies in a way that is convenient to grab quickly and carry easily during an emergency. A high quality pack will ensure that your gear stays protected.

2. Roll up a hooded sweater or fleece jacket and tuck in the bottom of your bag. A sweater or jacket will keep you warm, and a hood is essential for retaining your body heat, or to use as a pillow if you end up sleeping on the ground. A space blanket is also a good addition for keeping warm on cold days or nights.

3. Tuck in a small tent. If a situation calls for you to use your bug out bag, you may need to sleep outside for several nights. Even a small pup tent will provide adequate shelter during inclement weather.

4. Include matches and a lighter. Store your matches in a waterproof container and add a lighter to your bag. Soak cotton balls in lighter fluid and pack them in a zip close plastic bag, these will help you start a fire, even in wet weather.

Food Supplies

5. Feed yourself. Whether you choose freeze-dried camping food or military MREs, you need to include food in your bug out bag. If you use military MREs, you can manage on one MRE per day. Pack three day's worth of food in your bag.

6. Include plenty of water. You will need to bring a minimum of one quart of water per person per day; plan for at least three days. Include a portable water filter and water purification tablets in your pack so you can replenish your supply when necessary.

7. Pack a fish hook or two and some fishing line in a small tin container or empty film canister. You can usually find a worm or an insect to use as bait, allowing you the option of adding some fresh fish to your diet.

8. Add a knife, a small camp stove and a metal mug or pot. These will help in all of your meal preparations.

Supplies to Keep You Comfortable

9. Add a set of clean underwear. If you have to rough it for several days, nothing feels better than changing your underwear. This will take up very little space in your bug out bag and be good for your morale.

10. Include personal hygiene items. You will need to bring a travel-sized toothbrush and toothpaste, soap in a water-tight container, toilet paper and hand sanitizer.

11. Add some cold hard cash to your bug out bag supplies. Generally, cash is advised to have because, during many emergency situations, ATMs and banks are not working/or open.

12. Stock a well-supplied first aid kit and keep in your bug out bag. Your kit should include latex gloves, sterile dressings, antibiotic ointment, burn ointment, adhesive bandages, a thermometer, your prescription medications and any medical supplies you use on a regular basis.

13. Add a flashlight, a small radio and extra batteries to your bug out bag and you are now ready for any emergency.

Types Of Paintball Tanks

Paintball tanks typically mount on the rear of a paintball weapon.

Paintball tanks store the gases used to fire paintball guns. These tanks allow quick expansion of gas into the weapon in order to launch the paint-filled projectiles over a long range. Paintball centers offer a wide variety of tanks, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. Most paintball guns, known as markers, may use any of the three major paintball tank types.

Carbon-Dioxide Tanks

Many of the earliest paintball markers used carbon dioxide in their primary tank. These canisters were very small and only lasted for a few-dozen rounds. Larger CO2 canisters developed along with more powerful paintball guns. Many paintball centers make CO2 fill stations available to paintball players, and the cost of this service is very low compared to nitrogen-filled tanks. Likewise, the carbon-dioxide tank costs less than most other forms of paintball tank. The liquid state of pressurized CO2 leads to its major drawback: Any liquid CO2 that escapes into the paintball gun will quickly damage its rubber rings or plastic firing mechanisms.

Nitrogen Tanks

Nitrogen does not suffer the same problems as liquid CO2 due to its consistent gas state. Escaping gas does not damage the marker. Nitrogen is more expensive, however, and only available from large paintball centers and medical-supply groups. Nitrogen canisters come in a number of sizes, ranging from smaller 9-ounce containers to massive 20-ounce tanks. Large nitrogen bottles can hold refills for 100 or more tanks, making large-scale purchases economical for paintball teams and centers.

Compressed-Air Tanks

Compressed-air tanks use everyday air, in its native 80-percent nitrogen form, to power paintball markers. Air compressors offer the cheapest and most reliable source of refills for compressed-air tanks, though only commercial-grade compressors can fill the tanks to the necessary 2,000 or more PSI required for paintball guns. Many paintball centers purchase SCUBA tanks to refill these types of paintball tanks, and diving centers also offer inexpensive refills for players off site. Compressed-air tanks typically cost more than their counterparts due to the cost of materials needed for their solid construction.

Get A New Hampshire Gun License

New Hampshire has less restrictive gun laws.

"Live free or die" is New Hampshire's motto. This is also a state with a strong belief in the second amendment. Many who move here, especially from the South, are pleasantly surprised by the lack of government regulation when it comes to purchasing and owning a gun. New Hampshire does not require a license to buy or own a handgun. A license is required, though, when carrying a concealed weapon. In this case the state laws are much less restrictive on the gun owner than federal laws.

Instructions

1. Buy a gun from a Federal Firearms Licensee, which is any gun dealer or gun store. This also includes purchasing at a gun show.

2. Pass a background check before completing your purchase. You cannot have been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor. If you are what the state refers to as a "prohibited person," you will be prevented from owning a firearm.

3. Obtain a "License to Carry" through the state's Department of Safety if you purchased a gun from a private owner. No license is needed if the seller knows you personally.

Make A Post Apocalypse Costume

Although the many books, comics, movies and video games about the post-apocalypse era are all different, they share a similar clothing aesthetic that favors functionality over fashion. Resources are limited after the collapse of society, so a post-apocalyptic costume can be cobbled together with the items you have around your house - making it a cheap and simple costume to assemble in a short amount of time. With few extra flourishes, you can transform into a mutated gang leader, flesh-eating zombie or scrappy survivor. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Gather the clothing for your basic outfit. Select clothing items that are dull and weathered. Avoid bright colors except for the occasional accessory. Choose items that would serve a function in a post-apocalyptic setting, such as leather jackets, camouflage pants or military uniforms. Wear multiple layers, such as a skirt over pants, or a coat over a vest and shirt.

2. Dirty your clothing items to give them a weathered look. Burn holes, make tears or sew on makeshift patches to age the items. Add fake blood ahead of time and allow it to set in to look like stains from old wounds. If you are portraying a zombie, mutant or other post-apocalyptic creature, you should make large tears, and add copious amounts of fake blood and other gore.

3. Add functional accessories to further develop your look. Create makeshift armor from bike helmets, football pads and shin guards. Wear goggles, a gas mask or paintball mask for post-apocalyptic face protection. Other accessories might include a bandoleer, studded gloves, steel-toed boots, eye patch or bandana.

4. Style your hair to fit the post-apocalyptic setting. Spray temporary dye for a funky gang member hairdo or tease it to look unkempt. Use a generous amount of hair gel to make your hair look greasy and unwashed. If you are committed enough, consider a wild hairstyle like a Mohawk, punk spikes or dreadlocks.

5. Apply makeup to complete your look. Use dark foundation to add a layer of grime to your skin and red costume makeup to apply cuts, scrapes and other wounds. If you are portraying a zombie, make your skin look pale and add fake blood or prosthetic wounds. For a mutant, consider an unusual skin tone like green or red, and add prosthetic costume makeup to simulate deformations.

Fieldstrip A Cigarette

Field-Strip a Cigarette

The fire damage done by a cigarette butt that hasn't been extinguished can be devastating to people and animals. Even a cigarette butt that has been put out contributes to the litter problem that faces many cities and neighborhoods. A simple solution to these problems is to field-strip a cigarette. Find out how you can control litter by field-stripping your next cigarette.

Instructions

1. Stub out a cigarette on a hard surface to extinguish it after you are finished smoking it.

2. Double-check to make sure that there are no remaining embers in the cigarette. If there are still embers, continue to stub the cigarette until it is completely out.

3. Gently knock the tobacco out of the cigarette by stubbing it against a hard surface.

4. Roll the remaining part of cigarette above the filter in between your fingers to loosen any tobacco that is still stuck inside of the cigarette.

5. Continue to stub and roll the cigarette until all of the tobacco has been removed. You will be left with the filter and the paper that held the tobacco.

6. Put the cigarette paper and filter into a trash can to dispose of it. If you don't have access to a trash can, put the paper and filter back in your cigarette pack or some other place where you can dispose of it later.

Make A Paintball Machine Gun

A homemade paintball machine gun fires more rapidly than a single shot gun.

Paintball games are all about firing at the "enemy" in order to win. A paintball machine gun will increase your chances of winning by firing multiple "bullets" at your opponents. All that is needed are a few supplies from around the house and from a hobby store. Adult supervision is recommended if a child is making the paintball machine gun, because the glue used can stick to the skin.

Instructions

1. Place a sheet of newspaper on a table. Stand the empty pill bottle on the table with the bottom facing up. Drill a hole in the center of the bottom with the portable drill.

2. Place the pill bottle lid on the newspaper. Drill a hole through the center with the portable drill. Place the pill bottle on its side on the newspaper. Measure four inches from the bottom. Drill a hole through the side at the four-inch mark.

3. Cut the plastic straw in half with the scissors. Insert one end of one of the cut plastic straws in the hole in the side of the pill bottle (approximately one inch). Apply bonding glue around the hole to cement the straw to the pill bottle. Let the bonding glue set for an hour.

4. Stand the pill bottle on the newspaper with the bottom facing down. Place the lid back on the pill bottle. Insert an end of the other cut plastic in the hole in the lid (at a depth of approximately one inch). Apply bonding glue around the hole to cement the straw to the pill bottle's lid. Let the bonding glue set for an hour.

5. Go outside in your backyard. Remove the lid from the pill bottle. Drop 10-15 paint ball capsules into the pill bottle. Place the lid back onto the pill bottle.

6. Aim the straw that is in the pill bottle's lid at a tree or rock. Wrap your lips around the end of the straw that is in the side of the pill bottle. Blow hard to fire paintball capsules from your paintball machine gun at a tree or rock.

Adjust An Invert Mini Trigger

Paintball has substantially grown in popularity in the last 10 years.

Adjusting the trigger pull on the Invert Mini paintball gun is as easy as adjusting three screws. These three screws can change every aspect of the trigger pull so that you can find the perfect setting for your personal style.

Instructions

1. Locate the three adjustment screws on the trigger. These screws will be used to adjust all aspects of the trigger's pull.

2. Turn the lowest screw, located about halfway down the face of the trigger, to adjust rear movement range and stop. Essentially, this screw controls how far the trigger can be pulled. Keep in mind the shorter the pull the faster it can be repeatedly pulled.

3. The rear top screws adjust the forward movement and stop point. This controls how far forward the trigger returns after being pulled. A shorter forward distance can also increase the speed of the trigger pull.

4. The front top screw will adjust the trigger's activation point. This is an extremely important part of adjusting your trigger pull. You need to have the activation point somewhere in between your forward and rear movement. If you don't, the trigger will never activate.

Increase The Speed Of Your Trigger Finger

Training your trigger finger can give you a leg up on the competition.

Whether you're playing first-person shooter video games or fast-paced paintball games, having a quick trigger finger is crucial. There are a number of finger training tools that you can purchase to bring your trigger finger up to speed, but many of these are overpriced and impractical. Luckily, there is a way you can work out your fingers and increase your trigger speed using only two rubber bands.

Instructions

1. Place one of the rubber bands around your index finger and the other around your middle finger.

2. Loop the other ends of the rubber bands around the same fingers on your opposite hand.

3. Pull your hands apart until you can feel the tension in the rubber bands.

4. Place the hand you use to pull the trigger close to your body and set your hands up like you are holding a paintball gun.

5. Pull at the rubber bands as if you were pulling a trigger or the trigger button on a video game controller. Perform the process as fast as you can for about 30 seconds and then take a break. Repeat this exercise 5 to 10 times each day.

Vacations At Pistol Shooting Training Schools

It is possible to make a vacation out of a pistol training course.

Shooting schools, more formally known as firearms academies, can be a worthwhile investment for someone looking to learn either the basics or more advanced techniques for shooting a pistol and other guns. Many academies last several days and take place in remote locales, making it possible to make a vacation out of your firearms training. If shooting guns all day is your idea of a vacation, you're likely to do well; many courses are quite rigorous and put in long hours on each training day.

Schools

While the geography and offerings may vary a bit for different shooting training schools, the aim of most school leaders is to teach you the skills you need to protect you and your family. Front Sight Firearms Training is a well-known school, with locations in Nevada and Alaska. Handgun courses include skill builder courses, defensive handgun courses and a tactical scenarios course. Another industry leader is Gunsite Academy, located in Arizona. Courses include a defensive pistol course, ladies pistol course and advanced pistol skills courses. Thunder Ranch in Oregon is also well-known, offering a defensive revolver course, defensive concealed carry and defensive handgun courses.

Application Process

To be admitted into a firearms training school, schools require an application and some supporting materials. Typically, schools require that you show proof that either you do not have a criminal record, that you are a member of law enforcement, or that you are authorized to carry a concealed gun. Most schools also require you submit a copy of your driver's license and other personal information. A significant deposit on the balance for the course is typically required.

Where to Stay

With the exception of theme "schools" like the U.S. Cavalry School and hunting/learning excursions, most training academies require that you stay off-campus, even if the course lasts several days. Most will provide contact information for the closest hotels or guest houses, but it's up to you to book your rooms. Since many training schools are in rural areas, there are limited hotel rooms and you should book as early as possible. RV parks are another option for course attendees, and some locations even provide private camping for their clients.

What to Bring

Most schools require that you bring your own pistol, and often recommend you bring a backup gun. Shipping these things on an airplane can be tricky, so if you're flying, be sure you contact your airline to find out their policies on bringing your gun in your luggage.

One of the most important things to bring, according to firearms instructor Patrick Rogers, is a good attitude. If this is your first time on the shooting range, you have a lot to learn. If you know your way around a gun already, use the opportunity to learn a new way to do an old thing. Try out the techniques taught at the school, at least while you're there, and decide later whether you're going to adopt them as your own.

Obtain An Ffl To Buy Gun Parts

Federal Firearms Licenses, or FFLs, are required by the United States in order to buy, sell or distribute firearms in a commercial setting. FFLs are issued by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, which is a regulatory agency that monitors activities associated with these items within the borders of the United States. All that is required for obtaining a license to buy gun parts is to apply to the BATFE and follow their simple instructions for background checks, etc.

Instructions

1. Peruse the requirements on the page listed in "Resources" (below) and make sure you meet the government requirements for obtaining a license. You must be at least 21 years of age, have not been convicted of a crime, have violated no federal firearm laws, and certify that your business will not be in violation of any state or federal laws.

2. Call the Distribution Center at (703) 455-7801 and request an FFL packet be sent to your residence. Due to legal reasons and the requirement of photos and fingerprints being sent with the application form, it cannot be posted online.

3. Fill out the paperwork with your personal information, supply a clear photo for identification and a clean set of fingerprints (can be done at the local police department). You will need the police chief's signature from your local precinct and a signature of acceptance by the zoning committee in your municipality.

4. Mail the paperwork to the appropriate address supplied in the packet.

Remove Orange Paint From An Airsoft Gun

Airsoft Pistol

Airsoft guns almost always come with orange paint on the tip of the barrel to indicate that it is not a real gun. While airsoft guns can be dangerous, they do not pose the same threat as a real gun. It is important to always keep this orange tip on your airsoft gun when you are carrying it or using it in a public place so people don't mistake it for a genuine firearm. Still, airsoft guns can be used as a viable replica of a real gun as a movie prop or in another production. To make it look more realistic, you can remove the orange tip fairly easily. While it is illegal for a retailer to sell you an airsoft gun without an orange tip, is not illegal for you to remove it in most states.

Instructions

Remove the Orange Paint from an Airsoft Gun

1. Unload your airsoft gun to minimize the risk of an accidental shooting injury. Make sure there are no airsoft BBs in the clip or gun chamber.

2. Remove the barrel of the gun if possible. If you cannot remove the barrel, cover the surrounding area of with tape to avoid removing any other paint on the gun.

3. Soak a small portion of a rag in paint remover, acetone, Goo Gone or nail polish remover while wearing rubber gloves.

4. Carefully rub the orange paint with the soaked portion of the rag without rubbing any other part of the gun. Soak the rag multiple times, and repeat the process as many times as required to remove all the paint.

5. Dry the barrel with a portion of the rag that has not been soaked, and paint over the portion that has become discolored from the paint remover.

6. Replace the barrel, and test the gun to make sure the barrel has not been blocked.

Use Staples In Siding

use siding nails will depend on the material you're working with as well as levels of weather exposure.

Siding is important on a home, both visually and for insulation. The steps required to install siding are important to know if you need to replace sections of your old siding. Although installing siding can be labor intensive and time consuming, the job is made easier with the right tools. One tool you should consider is a siding staple gun. This is a specialized gun that utilizes staples specifically for siding. How you use the staples will depend on the material of the siding and its exposure to the elements. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Use siding-specific staples. You could use standard staple gun staples for the job, but as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. Siding staples will be able to withstand the natural elements and will stay in place longer. There are also staples made for each type of siding. You can find staples for both wood and vinyl siding. This is especially important for vinyl siding, as standard staple gun staples can break or tear the vinyl.

2. Make sure the staple gun is pressed flatly against the vinyl siding so the staples enter parallel to the floor. Stapling at an angle will make the staples more apparent and will increase the risk of damaging your siding.

3. Space the siding staples according to the weather the staples will have to endure. For example, siding in areas with hot weather will expand more than siding in cold weather, where siding contracts. Areas with both extremes will have to take both expansion and contraction into consideration. If unsure, the best course of action is to ask a professional about the suggested spacing between staples in your area.

4. Repeat Steps 1 through 3 until the siding has been completely installed. If properly fastened, the staples should last for many years without the need for replacement.

Paint A Car With An Electric Spray Painter

If you want to improve the appearance of your vehicle, one of the simplest and most noticeable ways to do so is by getting a new paint job. Having a new paint job professionally done for your car can cost anywhere from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars. Many drivers have found that they can do their own paint job less expensively. If you want to give your car an inexpensive paint job that still looks great, try painting it with an electric spray painter.

Instructions

1. Wash the car. Try to remove all caked on dirt and grease. Grease will really prevent your paint job from sticking.

2. Cover the parts of the car that you don't want to get paint on with heavy paper. Brown craft paper that is used for wrapping packages works well. Duct tape around the paper for a secure hold. Cover windows, grills, door handles, lights, tires and trim.

3. Use sandpaper to buff down rough spots like rust. Use medium sandpaper, like 50 to 60 grit. Sand with a circular motion until the spot feels smooth and level with the area around it.

4. Fill in holes and dents with putty. Use a putty knife to smooth over the surface. Let the putty dry and smooth down with sandpaper until it is even with the rest of the car.

5. Prime the vehicle. You can apply the primer with a paintbrush. Let it dry completely before painting.

6. Go over the vehicle with thin coats of paint. Hold the nozzle of the electric spray painter about a foot from the car and spray in light, even strokes. Add enough coats to get the color that you want.

7. Apply clear coat. Clear coat comes in spray paint cans and can be applied with the electric spray painter just like the paint. You will need only 1 to 2 clear coats to give your car a nice glossy surface.

Change The Velocity On An Ion Paintball Marker

With more than 5 million U.S. users each year, the Smart Parts Ion paintball marker has been a popular entry-level paintball marker since its introduction. It offers a low price and many features found in higher-end competitive paintball markers. Chronographing the Ion is a straightforward activity with the right tools and knowledge. You should chronograph the Ion marker every day you play paintball.

Instructions

Change the Velocity on an Ion Marker

1. Most fields require the velocity to be less than 300 feet per second (fps), but some require velocities as low as 260 fps. Check with the owner of your local field or league for specific requirements. In a safe and approved area, fire your Ion over the chronograph to measure the velocity.

2. Locate the nut at the bottom of the vertical regulator. This is where you will make any necessary adjustments to the velocity of the marker. If you need to decrease your marker's velocity, use the 5/8-inch or adjustable wrench to turn this nut counter-clockwise. If you need to increase your marker's velocity, turn this nut clockwise.

3. Remember to keep an eye on the marker's pressure gauge to ensure that it never exceeds the Ion's operating limit of 200 pounds per square inch (psi).

4. After every adjustment, fire three to four clearing shots before again measuring the marker's velocity by firing over the chronograph.

5. Repeat this process, making a series of adjustments and measurements, until your marker is firing consistently within the velocity limits specified by the field at which you are playing.

6. If you can't get your marker to fire at a consistent velocity, or you can't get it within the velocity limits specified by your field, there are a few things you can do before seeking help from a certified technician. Check your paint to barrel match. If the paint is much smaller than the barrel, air will escape around the ball and cause inconsistency in velocity. Clean and lube the marker. If airflow is obstructed or if the marker isn't properly lubricated, it cannot function correctly. If you properly maintain your marker it will serve you well for a long time to come. Check your dwell. If your dwell setting is too high or too low, it can cause velocity problems. Check your owner's manual for instructions on setting the dwell back to the factory recommended setting. Check all your fittings and o-rings. If an o-ring wears out and cannot maintain a seal, it can negatively impact the performance of your marker. The Ion can also have problems if hoses or fittings are leaking or not properly seated.

Customize Your Own Soft Air Gun

An airsoft, or soft air, gun is a mass-produced non-gunpowder-using replica of an actual weapon, a concept created by the Japanese in the 1980s and now produced by a number of manufacturers under various trade names. Customize your own airsoft gun by painting it with a color not expected to be found on the weapon. A few supplies from a hobby shop are all that is needed as is a well ventilated space for doing the customization.

Instructions

1. Place a sheet of newspaper on a work surface. Tape sheets of newspaper to the sides of the work surface so that none of the work surface's top is visible.

2. Remove the magazine from the airsoft gun. Place the magazine aside.

3. Wrap masking tape around all of the areas of the gun that you do not want to be painted--for example, the trigger, clip release. safety and hammer. Cover all holes and gaps on the gun with masking tape.

4. Cover any exposed firing, cocking or loading mechanism on the gun with masking tape.

5. Examine the gun to make sure that there are no other areas that need to be covered. Place the gun on the newspaper with the barrel pointing to the left.

6. Apply a coat of spray paint on the gun, starting at the tip of the barrel and moving across to the hammer at the other end. Let the paint dry for three hours. Repeat this procedure to apply another coat of purple paint on the gun. Let the paint dry for three hours.

7. Turn the gun over. Repeat the procedure to apply two coats of purple paint.

8. Stand the gun on its handle. Apply a coat of purple paint around the tip of the barrel (whose hole is covered with masking tape). Let the paint dry for three hours before applying another coat of paint around the tip of the barrel.

9. Hold the gun so that the hammer is pointing up. Apply a coat of purple paint to the back edge of the gun. Let the paint dry for three hours before applying another coat of paint to the back edge.

10. Carefully remove all of the masking tape from the gun. Place the magazine back into the gun. Dispose of the newspaper and the empty cans of spray paint.

Identify Insect Bites With Bruising

Insect bites that cause you to bleed under your epidermis, or the top layer of your skin, will cause bruises to form. There are several types of insect bites that may form bruises, such as bites from spiders, mosquitoes, bed bugs and ticks. Stings from scorpions, wasps or bees may also form bruises. Insect bites that cause bruises have a very distinct look to them. Once you learn what to look for, you will be able to identify an insect bite with bruising.

Instructions

1. Look for tiny red or white puncture marks in the center of your bruise. If a spider bit you, there will be a pair of puncture marks. A single puncture mark can be made by a mosquito, bed bug or tick. Insect bites with bruising typically do not develop a red, raised, irritated and itchy lump around the bite.

2. Inspect the color of your skin around the bite. Is it purple, red and yellowish or is it magenta or bright red? If your skin is a magenta or bright red bulls-eye or target shape, you have been bit by a tick and may have Lyme disease, which is a serious condition that needs to be treated with medication prescribed by a doctor. If the surrounding area of the bite is more muted pinkish-red color that looks like a weal or oval shaped rash, it is not an insect bite with bruising, but a bed bug or mosquito bite. Bed bug bites are very painful. Mosquito bites irritate the skin and make it itchy.

3. Inspect your skin where you have located the insect bite to determine if it has caused bruising. An insect bite with bruising will have a ring of normal colored skin around the bite surrounded by a larger ring-shaped bruise that is radiating out from it. The bruised area around the insect bite will be 1-inch or wider in diameter and will look like a donut.

A List Of Recreations Or Hobbies

Some recreations, such as frisbee, have become so popular that new competitive sports have evolved out of them (Ultimate Frisbee).

"I must confess that I am interested in leisure in the same way that a poor man is interested in money," said Prince Philip, husband of Queen Elizabeth II of England. All of us need rest and relaxation from work and the stresses of life, rich or poor. Indeed, as we get older, we will benefit from trying out new hobbies and recreations.

Indoor Hobbies

Some hobbies are usually enjoyed indoors, either in a house, garage or studio. Cooking, woodworking, crocheting, playing the piano, reading, quilting, stamp collecting and scrap-booking all take place indoors, for the most part. Many popular craft activities such as beading, doll making, origami and quilting also take place most often indoors. Some indoor hobbies require much technical expertise, such as glass blowing or pottery, while others such as collecting may require a lot of time, passion and know-how, but perhaps not too much technical skill.

Light Outdoor Recreation

Some outdoor recreational activities do not require too much physical exertion. You do not have to get your heart rate too high for the most part when enjoying fishing, bird watching, butterfly collecting, outdoor photography, nature walking, gardening, bonsai raising, geocaching, people watching and outdoor painting. Many of these require some mental exertion and perhaps the occasional burst of physical activity, but for the most part are considered light outdoor recreation.

Strenuous Outdoor Activities

There are many popular outdoor recreational activities which require moderate-to-heavy physical exertion. Snow skiing, water skiing, rock climbing, paintball, horse riding, scuba diving, snorkeling, surfing, running, backpacking, hiking, mountain biking, four-wheeling, kayaking, white-water rafting, skydiving, hang-gliding, ballet, belly dancing, golfing and table tennis all require at least a moderate amount of strenuous activity. Some recreations, such as mountain climbing and hot air ballooning, can get the blood pumping due to the risky nature of the activity, as well.

Performance Recreations and Hobbies

Several hobbies do not involve just the person partaking in the activity, but include performing a competitive or non-competitive skill for an audience, large or small. Many people enjoy various performance hobbies such as singing, acting, juggling, puppet theater, poetry reading, story telling, guitar playing, martial arts, magic tricks, poetry reading and karaoke. Some recreations do not typically involve performing but given the right coordination, can be made into spectacles, including water skiing and jet skiing.

Disassemble The Para P12

Most people will recognize a Colt 1911 almost instantly thanks to its popularity both inside and outside of the United States. What most people do not know, however, is that the Colt 1911 inspired several different "spin-off" lines of pistols that took the venerable old weapon's design and changed it around a bit. The Para-Ordnance P12 is one of those pistols. Essentially a miniaturized version of the Colt 1911, the P12 still packs the heavy punch of its larger cousin thanks to the .45 ACP round it is chambered for. Disassembling a P12 for cleaning or parts replacement is a relatively simple process--though unlike its cousin, the P12 does require a tool to help break it down.

Instructions

1. Eject the magazine, if applicable, from the handle of the P12 and rack the slide action back several times to ensure that there are no bullets in the firing chamber. Unloading your weapon needs to always be the first step you take whenever you are working on any type of firearm.

2. Insert the hex wrench into the hex nut on the front of the pistol just below the barrel and turn it counter-clockwise to loosen it. Continue unscrewing it until you are able to remove the front section of the recoil-spring guide.

3. Pull the hammer back to the "cocked" position.

4. Pull the slide back until the notch on the left-hand side of the slide is lined up with the slide stop lever. Push the slide stop lever up into the notch.

5. Push the slide stop pin on the right-hand side of the pistol all the way through so that the slide stop lever pops out.

6. Push the slide all the way forward to remove it from the frame of the P12.

7. Lift the rear end of the recoil spring up and out of the slide, then push the recoil spring plug backward and lift it out of the slide.

8. Turn the barrel bushing counter-clockwise until it stops, then pull it forward and off of the barrel.

9. Rotate the barrel link toward the front of the pistol, then push the barrel through the front and out of the slide.

Sightin And Aim A Paintball Marker

Sighting in a paintball marker is relatively easy, but necessary for success. It's important to know where your marker is hitting before you start playing the game. There are several things to take into consideration when you sight in a marker and when you aim one.

Instructions

1. Prepare for sighting in your paintball marker. Check to see that your paintball barrel size and the size of the paintballs you're using match each other. Find this out by taking the barrel off of your marker. Slide a paintball into the end of the barrel that attaches to the marker. Blow through it. The paintball should have little resistance going down the barrel.

2. Check the velocity of your paintball marker as part of pre-sighting your gun in. Shoot your marker over a chronograph. It should not exceed 300 feet per second. This is the maximum speed that is allowed in most paintball games and tournaments. If your paintball marker has erratic speeds, it will be difficult to sight-in the marker.

3. Sight-in a paintball marker efficiently by knowing the capability of your paintball marker. This can only be accomplished through practice. Most markers nowadays don't have sights. These markers are normally used in tournament play. Sighting in and aiming them is normally done by looking down the side of the marker, keeping your eye in line with the barrel. Consistent practice will achieve your goal.

4. Aim a paintball marker that is equipped with sights by aligning the rear sight with the front sight. Consistent velocity is critical on this type gun also. If your gun is erratic and shooting all around where you're aiming, check to make sure your barrel has no broken paintballs inside. A dirty barrel will interfere with sight-in.

Put A Scope On A Crossbow

Mounting a scope to your crossbow can greatly improve your accuracy and your ability to acquire targets quickly. Crossbows almost exclusively use dovetail rail mounts as a base for installing crossbow scopes, most modern crossbows are produced with these rail mounts preinstalled. For crossbows that do not have rail mounts attached, they can be easily attached to the rear sight. Most crossbows scopes, such as red dot scopes, are equipped with scope rings compatible with rail mounts.

Instructions

Rail Mount Install

1. Use your allen wrench to remove the bolt located on the left hand side (near the front) of the rear sight. Use your screwdriver to remove the rearmost screw from the top of the sight.

2. Place the rail mount on the sight. Line up the horizontal screw hole, located on the lower side of the mount, and the vertical screw hole, located near the back of the mount, with the corresponding holes in the rear sight.

3. Use your allen wrench to reinstall the bolt into the left side of the rear sight and your screwdriver to reinstall the screw on top of the sight.

Scope Install

4. Loosen the retention screws at the bottom of the of scope rings to allow you to spread the brackets.

5. Place the scope on the rail mount, place the mounting screws within the slots of the rail mount and position the brackets over the edges of the rail mount.

6. Tighten the retention screws. Your scope is now mounted.

Build A Paintball Fort

A paintball fort

Anyone who owns a few acres of wooded lot can open a private paintball field. The defensive advantages of solid cover coupled with the limited range of paintball guns makes wooden forts a serious tactical obstacle. With just a few basic considerations, these are easy to build out of scrap materials.

Instructions

1. Site the fort near a likely zone of heavy traffic. Except for "capture the fort" games, placing a fort in an isolated location is a waste of time and materials.

2. Keep in mind the local terrain when building the fort. It does little good to build the fort at the foot of a slope or in a ravine where opponents can easily shoot down into it.

3. Use pen and paper to draw up a plan. Most paintball forts are crude, but building a good one requires a little planning to match your materials to the site.

4. Try to include a protected entry point for the fort, either a door, a tarp-covered opening or a blind entryway.

5. Try to use trees in place of fence posts as much as possible. This will cut down on material costs and overall work.

6. Set fence posts where necessary by digging a 1-foot deep hole with a mattock and post-hole digger, setting the post, refilling the hole with dirt and firming it up with a tamping rod. People will be slamming into the walls of the fort, so the supporting posts need to be firm.

7. Use wood scraps to build the walls of the fort. Pretty much anything can be used in this role, so long as it fits between two trees or posts: old pallets, sheets of plywood and lumber scraps. Use hammer and nails to fasten them to the trees/posts.

8. Use a handsaw and coping saw to cut gun slits and crenelations into the wooden walls of the fort. These will provide protected places for shooting.

9. Paint your fort in camouflage colors if desired. However, a couple of years of weathering will probably do the same job for you, and the truth is that a permanent fort is always going to stand out on a paintball field.

What Is The Difference Between A Banana & A Plantain

Plantains resemble green bananas.

Plantains are sometimes confused with bananas, but there are significant differences between the two. Although the plantain is a member of the banana family, it looks and tastes different. Does this Spark an idea?

Appearance

Plantains are noticeably longer than bananas with thicker skins. At first glance, a plantain looks like a large unripe banana. Most plantains sold in the produce section of the supermarket are green, but they can also be black in color.

Where Grown

Plantains are grown in mostly tropical climates and are native to India. They grow best where there are constant warm temperatures and protection from wind. Bananas are grown throughout the tropics and are native to Southeast Asia.

How They Are Used

Plantains are not sweet. They are considered a vegetable, not a fruit. They are starchy, low in sugar and need to be cooked before they are eaten and can be used as a main dish or part of a side dish. In the Caribbean, plantains are often baked or fried. Bananas can be eaten raw or cooked.

Remove A Ps90 Barrel

The PS90 is a semi-automatic carbine used for personal defense and training exercises. The PS90 should not be confused with the P90, which is the law enforcement and military version of this weapon. The PS90 barrel is an extended 16 1/25-inches long and has a built in flash suppressor to lower the chances of being blinded during low-light tactical conditions.

The extended barrel of the PS90 improves accuracy and reduces the recoil through an extended muzzle brake. The PS90 is an ambidextrous rifle and can be shot by left handed or right-handed shooters without modification.

Instructions

1. Unload the ammunition from the PS90. Slide the barrel of the PS90 into a drill press and tighten it down for a secure hold. Change the bit in the drill press to a No. 43 carbide bit and drill out the blind pin.

2. Place a pair of barrel blocks into a vice gripe. Barrel blocks are gunsmithing tools that will firmly grasp a gun barrel without marring it.

3. Hold the closed end of a 15mm wrench with a gloved hand. Use a rotary tool and a grinding bit to grind the head of the wrench. The 15mm wrench is the perfect size to fit the barrel but it is too thick. Shaving it down will allow it to fit between the barrel and flash.

4. Grasp the flash suppressor nut on the chamber end of the barrel with the 15mm wrench. Turn the wrench in a clockwise motion to loosen the PS90 barrel. PS90s are left-hand threaded so this action will be backwards from normal loosening procedures. Once the flash suppressor nut is completely backed off you can slide the PS90's barrel free.

Tie A Head Wrap

There are times when overworked hair needs to have some rest from braiding or you need to protect your hair from intense elements or dust and dirt while working. These are times to use a head wrap. There are several different ways to tie a head wrap. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

First Way to Tie a Head Wrap

1. Place a long scarf around your head so that your head is in the middle and the scarf is around the hair at the hairline. The ends of the scarf should be hanging off the sides of your head and at your back.

2. Gather the hair together underneath the scarf and twist both ends of the scarf around the hair gently without twisting the hair too tightly.

3. Twist the scarf at the end where the hair ends. Twist the scarf tightly at the end.

4. Bring the twisted end of the scarf up to the back of the head and wrap it around the hair that is covered with the scarf to make a kind of pony tail with the hair and scarf. Remember not to wrap it too tightly-make it loose but not too loose.

5. Tuck the end of the scarf into the underside of the hair. You can also attach it with a pin to the underside of the scarf.

Second Way to Tie a Head Wrap

6. Fold the scarf in half corner to corner.

7. Bring the long-folded end over again until you've folded it twice into a kind of rectangle shape.

8. Lay the folded scarf over the back of the head.

9. Take both ends of the scarf in your hands and pull at the front of the head. Switch the ends by placing the right end in the left hand and the left end in the right hand so the scarf crosses in the middle above the forehead.

10. Bring the ends around the back of the head and switch hands again so that it crosses in the back.

11. Tie the ends into a knot in the front and tuck the ends under the scarf.
