Water Shooting Games

If you're playing Shoot the Sharks, you best stay underwater.

Water shooting games are enjoyed in parks, pools, playgrounds and over the Internet. Many games have a few common rules: never shoot the innocent, shoot only water, and never shoot near the face or at windows. Water weaponry includes Stream Machines, Liquidators, Launchers and more common items, such as buckets and water balloons.

Arcade Water Games

The feel of the carnival can be enjoyed at home.

Arcade water games bring the thrill of the carnival water games home. Heatwave Water Race Game is an arcade game whereby two players shoot water squirters in a race against time. The game features LED flashing lights. Fire Fighter Water Gun Game uses recycled water and a water cannon to project water onto a target inside of a Fiberglass field. The game features a two-player game mode whereby players compete to put out fires in windows in a burning building from the top to the bottom. Other arcade water games include Water Blast, Twister Water Race, Stinky Feet and Heatwave Water Race game.

Water Games

Water games reminiscent of amusement parks help beat the heat.

Duck race is a game where opponents mark rubber ducks with permanent markers and release them into one end of a pool. Players shoot the ducks with water soakers, pushing them to the opposite end with the water. The owner of the first duck to float to the end of the pool wins a prize. In water tag, chasers squirt their targets with water. Targets must remain in place until other chasers release them.

Free Online Shooters

The Internet has a variety of virtual water shooting games.

Shooting Water, found at Funny Games Online, is a water squirting game that involves a lone water shooter standing on the deck of a hotel. The player must correctly angle the water squirter toward the sunbather on the beach. If squirted, the sunbather will move to a different position. Web Games 247 offers Silent Water, a flash shooting game. Players shoot through ocean water to destroy Nazi submarines. This game requires the player to properly calculate the speed the submarines are traveling to determine when to drop bombs. Water the Bombs is a car racing and water game in one, offered by Shooting Games 1 Online. Players drive a car over buckets of water, collecting water, hearts and spray power to shoot water from the car to extinguish bombs before they explode. Super Soaker Soaker Tag, offered by Games One Online, allows players to choose a weapon and have a blast.

Pool Games

Children of all ages can play water shooting pool games.

Shoot the sharks is a game where players are divided the into two teams -- the sharks and the hunters. The hunters sit in strategic points outside of the swimming pool and the sharks swim as they wish, but they are out if they are squirted. Raft race is a game whereby a team is composed of two players placed back-to-back on an air mattress or raft. Teams soak opposite teams until they fall off their rafts. The winning team is left floating.

Buy A Phono Preamp

Most turntables need a phono preamp to boost their signal.

If you're an audio enthusiast, choosing the right equipment for your stereo is no easy process. That being said, even casual music lovers often like their sound systems to have particular qualities. When using a turntable it is important to use a phono preamp to boost the signal, which, for most turntables, is fairly low. When buying a phono preamp, there are a few key qualities that you should look for and consider before you make your purchase.

Instructions

What to Look For

1. Go to a trusted audio retailer. While most people might choose to shop at a Best Buy or a Target for a phono preamp, it is recommended that you go to a smaller, local music shop if one is nearby. Because of the digital transition the music world has gone through, the selection and the available knowledge at a major retailer will not compare to the selection and available knowledge at a more specialized, local shop.

2. Ask an employee what the signal-to-noise ratios of the preamps you are considering are. One of the biggest problems with phono preamps is that they can generate background noise. A signal-to-noise ratio tells you how much background noise a preamp will create. To make sure you are getting what you need, ask what the ratio is. The general rule is that the higher the number, the lower the background noise level will be. If you're already playing through a cheaper stereo, it might be beneficial to buy a preamp with a high signal-to-noise ratio to make sure you are creating the best sound within your means.

3. Ask the employee if the preamp has RIAA re-equalization. RIAA re-equalization removes a equalization curve that recording studios put onto vinyl records during the recording process. When you re-equalize this curve, it returns the music back to its original state and sound quality. A phono preamp without RIAA re-equalization technology will sound fine, but it won't be the best. To make sure you are getting your money's worth, ask the employee to double check that the preamp you are looking at has RIAA re-equalization.

4. Ask about the ground wire. The ground wire is another device that comes on most preamps that will reduce the hum or excess noise that may be created by the preamp. The hum or hiss that is created by many electronic devices is due to the signal in the device not being grounded. A ground wire cancels out the signal by sending that signal through a wire and into another object that can ground the excess signal. Have an employee double check to make sure the preamp you are choosing has a ground wire.

5. Compare prices and features. After you have had an employee inform you about the signal-to-noise ratio, RIAA re-equalization, and the ground wire of the available phono preamps the store has in stock, take some time to figure out which one is best for you. Consider how much you'd like to spend and how good of a phono preamp you need. Taking all of the features and your budget into consideration will allow you to buy the perfect phono preamp for you.

Fight Like Swat Or A Navy Seal

The first SWAT team was established by the Los Angeles Police Department in 1968.

Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) and US Navy Sea, Air and Land (SEAL) teams have one important thing in common: their versatility. Whether assaulting a building or conducting a hostage rescue, these small units are highly trained operators and retain a standard many other groups aspire to match. With that in mind, the same techniques they use can be applied to other organizations and individuals, and officers from both organizations have been called on to train others.

Instructions

1. Working on your basic fitness is the most important element of learning fight like SWAT or the Navy SEALS. Focus on your cardiovascular fitness in particular, with running a particularly good way to improve your cardiovascular fitness. A good initial fitness goal is to see how long it takes you to run a kilometer. Try this, being sure not to push yourself, and record your time. Then, each time you run a kilometer again, try and shave a little off your first time.

2. Improving your cardiovascular fitness is the first step, and leads directly into the next step: weight training. If you've never done it before, join a local gym and attend their beginner's course. This will walk you through the ways to operate the weight machines safely, assess your fitness and give you a tailored program, which will help you build muscle bulk and focus on the areas you want to work on.

3. Close quarters unarmed combat is equally important, and the SEALs in particular incorporate elements of Judo, Jujitsu, Muay Thai Kickboxing and Krav Maga into their unarmed combat training. SWAT team combat techniques tend more toward boxing and Jujitsu, focusing on rapid application of force, immobilization and incapacitation. Studying a mixture of these styles will give you a similar skill set and further enhance your fitness.

4. Almost all Navy SEAL and SWAT operations take place in what is referred to as Close Quarter Battle, or CQB, conditions. This involves very rapid assaults by small groups of people to take over a building or vehicle. This sort of rapid, team-based assault is highly effective and is based entirely on training with and working with a small group of people. If you can, do your fitness training with friends or form a paintball team or something similar. This will give you the sense of camaraderie and trust that SWAT and SEAL teams rely on.

Sell Paintball Markers

Various avenues are available for selling a paintball marker.

There are times when paintball markers have to be sold in return for extra cash. Selling a paintball marker can be done in a number of different ways. You can opt to sell it using online listings or through advertising fliers. Retail stores that sell paintball equipment often will purchase used markers as well. However, there are a few things to do before selling your paintball marker.

Instructions

1. Make the paintball marker look presentable, if it was previously used. Clean the exterior of the paintball marker with a damp towel. Clean all of the parts and accessories with the towel to remove any paint, oil or dirt. Locate the original box and manual to increase the resale value.

2. Determine the value of the paintball marker. The value of the paintball marker will increase if it was used everyday, as opposed to being used yearly. Added accessories also will increase its value. The best way to determine a fair selling price is to compare your marker to similar ones on the market. Research the types of used markers for sale online or in retail stores.

3. Post a listing online and create printed fliers to advertise the sale of the paintball marker. Numerous online websites allow free space for selling personal items. Some websites also allow pictures of the item to be posted alongside its price and description. Post the type of marker for sale, its condition, accessories added, and include the asking price. Take a picture of the marker using a digital camera and include it with the advertisement as well. Also, state whether the item is for pick-up only or if shipping is available. Create printed fliers to be placed at paintball arenas, if allowed by the managers of the complex. Place the fliers near set-up areas, fill stations and snack bars. Include a picture of the paintball marker, description, asking price and personal information, as well as a contact name and phone number.

4. Sell the paintball marker at a paintball retail store to earn extra cash instantly. Most paintball retail stores purchase both new and used markers, which then are cleaned and resold. The retailer has to make some profit; however, anything over a $100 profit margin probably is too much. Haggle over the price if necessary.

What Does It Take To Become A Pro Paintball Player

Professional paintball players play for sponsorship benefits and fun.

Skilled paintball players meet every year to dodge rounds of paint, target their opponents and do their best to win. Professional paintball happens at skill level much higher than you can find at your local course. While paintballers play many courses, from speedball to woodsball, and many game types, like deathmatch and capture the flag, professional matches generally happen on one type of course.

Professional Paintball

Professional paintball players receive money or equipment from sponsors to compete in matches. Most teams are put together by members who later register to play in National Professional Paintball Association (NPPA) matches. One of the most important parts of becoming a professional paintball player is forming a cohesive, skilled team with the desire to play professionally. Speak to regular players at the courses you frequent and plan local competitive matches if none exist for which you can register. Paintball retailers and those who run the courses should have information on local competitive matches. Ask the most skilled, reliable players to join a team with you with the intention of competing in the NPPA.

Sponsors

Search for sponsors when you've proven yourself in local or regional matches. Sports stores, paintball suppliers or athletic shoe stores may offer equipment or money to help you meet the needs of your team. Speak to car dealerships, realtors and other professionals with high advertising costs as well. Offer to include a patch advertising their business on the team's uniform. Offer to appear in commercials. List your sponsors -- along with a thank you, a description of their services and a link to their website -- on a website you create for your team. The more exposure you offer sponsors, the better your chances of acquiring sponsorship.

Skills

Practice paintball at every opportunity; a season pass to a field is your best friend. Save money to buy top-quality equipment. Ego paintball guns are used by most professional teams. The best ones cost more than $1,000. Train to increase your endurance and speed by practicing both sprints and long-distance running. Paintball markers fire fast. Work with hand weights to increase your dexterity and become a faster reloader. More than anything, practice your aim. Don't settle for still targets on trees. The best target practice you can get is firing at a moving teammate who's firing back at you.

Tips

Join a local paintball league and attend every practice. Know your course; get used to scoping out the hiding places and useful vantage points for observing your opponents. Most professional paintball matches are speedball. Gameplay occurs on a flat field with shelter and cover built from wood, metal and inflatable bunkers. Check out professional paintballer magazines for tips on your equipment and skills. Log on to the NPPA website and click on the "Events" tab to see which are upcoming. Navigate to the registration page to sign your team up for a match and pay your fees.

Buy A Gun Or Firearm Online

Buying a gun and firearm accessories online.

Buying a gun online opens you up to a larger selection of firearms and accessories. Before purchasing a gun online, you need to know that a firearm or firearm accessories will not ship to your house; they will be shipped to a local gun dealer instead. When you go to pick up your firearm from a local gun dealer, you will have to show proper identification and undergo a background check in order to receive your gun.

Instructions

1. Contact your local FFL (Federal Firearm License) dealer to arrange for them to conduct the firearm transfer; the FFL will receive the firearm in your name from the online distributor. If you don't know who your local dealer is, visit fflfinder.com or localgundealer.com.

2. Find the gun you want to buy at some of the most popular secure websites are thegunsource.com, damncheapguns.com and topglock.com. After you've selected a gun and firearm accessories, ask your local dealer fax in a copy of its FFL information to the online distributor.

3. Go to your local gun dealer, after he calls to confirm receipt of your purchase, to complete the necessary federal and/or state background check and fill out paperwork in order to claim your firearm. Some states require a waiting period before you may pick up your gun. If you aren't sure if this applies to you, ask your local gun dealer.

Make A Photon Cannon

A photon is just a small packet of light energy, so a photon cannon is anything that shoots a lot of light out at the same time. In order to have destructive power, a beam of light needs to be concentrated. By using a lens, you can make your photon canon bright enough to be at least annoying and possibly dangerous to the eyes, so don't aim the photon cannon at people; only use the cannon to signal people on the moon or for some other harmless purpose.

Instructions

1. Gather a bunch of extremely bright lights together. Spotlights would be good for this purpose, but a bunch of flashlights will do in a pinch. Put them in a circle on the ground, facing straight up. Attach them together to keep them in alignment.

2. Wire the power switches of all the lights together so that you can turn them on at the same time. If you are using spotlights, simply leave them in the on position and turn the circuit on from a heavy duty power strip.

3. Cover your light source with a fresnel lens with a long focal length. You can either use a single lens over the top of all your lights, or one lens for each light (see Resources below). The focal length determines at what distance the beam will focus, so make it adequate for your uses. (The moon is over 200,000 miles away.)

4. Mount a reflector above the array. Attach a large mirror to a movable mount.

5. Adjust the mirror to reflect the light at the correct angle. Then stand back and turn on the switch.

Buy A Gun

Buy a Gun

Owning a gun is a privilege that many people decide to take advantage of at some point in their lives. Guns are purchased for a variety of reasons, ranging from home and personal protection to hunting and sporting events. The decision to purchase a gun is not one to be taken lightly, and should only be done after careful consideration and research into your local laws, your personal preference and reasons you wish to own a gun.

Instructions

1. Know the requirements. In order to purchase a firearm, you must be a legal resident of the state in which you are trying to purchase the gun. Proof of residency usually consists of a state-issued driver’s license or ID. You must be at least 18 years old to purchase a shotgun or rifle and 21 years old, in many states, to purchase a handgun. You must have a background free of any serious offenses and must not currently be under investigation in order to be legally sold a gun.

2. Determining what type of gun you wish to purchase is often the most difficult step. If you plan on hunting, a rifle or shotgun is usually the preferred type of gun. Bird and certain small game hunters use shotguns, while big game hunters tend to prefer rifles. People wishing to buy a gun for home or personal protection most often purchase handguns. They are smaller, easier to fire and more concealable than larger shotguns or rifles. Sportsmen who participate in shooting sports often purchase either long guns or handguns, depending on the events they will be participating in. Many different manufacturers create guns of all different varieties, so your choice of brand is entirely up to you.

3. Locating a licensed firearms dealer is a vital step towards purchasing your gun. You can find licensed gun dealers in private shops, sporting goods stores, and at outdoor and gun shows. Dealers are required by law to be fully licensed and approved to sell guns, and you should always purchase from a licensed dealer. They should be willing to answer any questions that you might have, and you should be able to view their licenses and permits without any trouble.

4. Ask to see his stock once you have located a dealer you’d like to do business with. Most dealers have the majority of their stock out on display and you can see and inspect them. If you’re interested in seeing one more closely, let the dealer know and he will take it out of the case for you. You can handle the gun, give it a thorough examination, and dry fire it to assure that it works well and is in good condition. The dealer should willingly show you any guns you are interested in and should allow you to check them out. A knowledgeable and experienced dealer will also be able to answer any questions you might have about the specifics of the guns, and should have information on hand for you to look at regarding the various models he sells.

5. Fill out the paperwork. When you have reached a decision about which gun you want, the dealer will have you fill out paperwork for the purchase of the gun. This paperwork will include your full legal name, date of birth, social security number, and proof of address or residency. This paperwork will also be used to contact NICS, the National Instant Criminal Background Check system. The background check will make sure that you have no restrictions or convictions, which prevent you from owning a gun. The check should be completed within a few hours. As long as there are no restrictions or holds on the background check, your gun purchase should be smooth and fairly simple.

6. Wait. Some states have a holding period before a gun is allowed to be released. If your state is one of those, the dealer will inform you that your gun will be released to you on a certain date. If there are no waiting periods in your state, you can take your new gun home that same day.

Airsoft Gun Laws For Sun Prairie Wisconsin

Removal of the orange marking from an airsoft gun is illegal.

The game of airsoft is quickly becoming one of the most popular military simulation and training games, combining the combat simulation of paintball with the realism of BB guns. But unlike BB guns, airsoft guns resemble weapons--despite the fact that plastic pellets are used. If you live in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, it's important to know the laws that govern your use of airsoft guns.

Federal Law

Although local laws are important, it's just as important to know the federal laws that govern airsoft. One of the most important federal laws requires that all airsoft barrels be painted with an orange stripe that's at least 6 mm (1/4 inch) wide. This marks the gun as a replica and allows police and other authorities to quickly identify them, protecting those who use them. Another federal law requires that all trademarks be removed if the manufacturer of the airsoft gun does not have permission from the manufacturer of the real gun to use the trademark.

Firing an Airsoft Gun

Sun Prairie municipal code 9.32.010 states that it's illegal for any person in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, except a law enforcement officer on duty, to fire an air gun. This includes all types of airsoft guns. The Sun Prairie municipal code also states that it's illegal to fire an air gun outside of Sun Prairie if the round lands within city limits. Shooting ranges are allowed upon approval of the chief of police. The reason for these laws is twofold: The city ordinance protects damage to property from stray bullets or vandals, and the code also protects people from injury. Although airsoft guns are relatively safe, a 2005 study conducted by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported that 19,675 injuries were caused by guns that do not use combustion to fire, and this includes airsoft guns.

Owning an Airsoft Gun

According to Sun Prairie municipal code 9.32.010, it's illegal to possess an air gun within city limits, unless it isn't loaded, and it's stored inside of an appropriate case. This prevents panic or death caused by law enforcement officers and residents who mistake the airsoft gun for a real gun.

Avoid Gnats On A Walk

Summertime and gnats seem to go together. Whether they are called gnats, blackflies or midges in your part of the world, they are the same tiny, flying nuisance. In regions where they exist, they are plentiful and seemingly impossible to avoid completely. And while not all varieties of gnats will bite, the ones that do can leave behind painful, itchy welts. In the battle of human versus gnat, however, there are a few things that can be done to minimize the nuisance of the little flies and still enjoying a summertime stroll.

Instructions

1. Pick the right time of day. Gnats are generally most active at dawn and dusk. Wait for the sun to come up fully before your morning walk. Plan your last walk to be completed before the sun sets.

2. Avoid walking along still waters. Gnats love lazy rivers and streams. Walking along water is a surefire way to have your walk disrupted by gnats.

3. Cover up. The less skin you have exposed, the less likely it is that gnats will be able to bite you. While this doesn't reduce the number of gnats you encounter on your walk, it can help make the end result less painful and itchy.

4. Apply an insect repellent to exposed skin and your clothes. DEET, citronella lotion and permethrin all have varying levels of effectiveness. Follow the instructions that come with the product you choose.

The Purpose Of Military War Games

War games may be conducted between friends in the same military unit, but their roles are very serious.

A war game is a simulation of a conflict or emergency situation which is played out, using real soldiers, computer technology or virtual simulators to recreate that situation in as realistic a way as possible. A military war game, used by militaries all around the world, differs from a civilian game in that no members of the public take part, all participants are part of the military and the games simulate the tactics, battles and other situations that occur in modern warfare.

Tactics and Preparation

Military forces involved in war games are able to prepare themselves for real-life warfare and test tactics which may one day be used on the battlefield. Usually, a war game features two opposing forces, which compete against one another by attempting to complete military objectives; of course, these forces are in reality part of the same military. The idea is that each side reacts to the other, preparing participants for similar situations on the battlefield and enabling each side to practice tactics.

Studying Options

Military war games often focus on establishing a simulation of a certain situation and then playing out the scenario in order to demonstrate the options available. For example, a real-life situation may already be in place, so the commanders involved in such an operation would create a realistic simulation of that scenario on friendly territory to see which military options were feasible and which were not. As the war game unfolds, those in command can see how the scenario would unfold should certain decisions or options be taken. Following the war game, those in control discuss what has been learned and observed during the game.

Experience of Command

Not all military personnel are suitable for leadership positions, so taking command of a team in a non-threatening but realistic scenario is one way the military has of testing a soldier's fitness for a commanding role. Commanders may also take part in military war games to prepare them for new or changing roles.

Determining Weak Spots

A military war game might be conducted in an attempt to reveal weak points in a military's strategy or readiness to deal with particular sets of circumstances. One such military exercise, called "Eligible Receiver 97," was held in the United States in 1997, as the military simulated an electronic attack on military computers, finding that the U.S. was very vulnerable from such a real attack at that time.

Sending A Message

Since military war games are often kept low-key, a military that chooses to publicize that it has been conducting war games will send a message to its neighbours and rivals. Such a message could be a warning to other countries of the implications of military action against them, or a sign that a government is set to attempt military action, such as an invasion, in the near future.

Make A Nerf Gun Silencer

A gun suppressor, or "silencer" as it is more commonly know, is designed to muffle the sound of the projectile being fired. You can make a silencer for your Nerf-brand gun using a few supplies commonly found around the house. You will also need adult supervision if you are underage since a cutting edge is needed. The silencer can be used on any Nerf-brand gun, although the amount of sound that will be muffled will vary depending upon whether it uses compressed air or a spring to fire the projectile.

Instructions

1. Open the pop-tab at the top of the soda can. Pour out the soda into the kitchen sink. Place the soda can in the kitchen sink. Remove the top of the soda can using the can openers. Dispose of the cut off top in the trash.

2. Wash the soda can with tap water and dishwashing liquid. Dry out the soda can with a paper towel. Dispose of the paper towel in the trash. Place the soda can on the kitchen counter. Let the soda can dry for a day.

3. Place a sheet of newspaper on a table. Place the soda can on the newspaper with the open end facing down.

4. Hold the tip of the barrel of the Nerf-brand gun against the center of the top of the soda can. Draw an outline around the tip of the barrel with the grease pencil. Place the Nerf-brand gun aside.

5. Draw a 1-inch vertical line through the center of the outline on the top of the soda can. Draw a 1-inch horizontal line through the center of the outline on the top of the soda can.

6. Cut through the horizontal and vertical lines drawn on the top of the soda can with the blade of the utility knife. Wipe off the grease pencil from the top of the soda can with a paper towel. Dispose of the paper towel in the trash.

7. Push the tip of the Nerf-brand gun into the cut slits in the end of the soda can. Secure the barrel to the soda can with strips of duct tape.

8. Aim your Nerf-brand gun at a far wall. Press the trigger to fire a projectile at the far wall with much less sound being heard now that you have added a silencer to the barrel.

Fill Your Own Paint Balls

Fill your own paintballs.

The origin of paintballing can be traced back to the 1950s when farmers, ranchers and loggers used specially rigged rifles to mark trees for logging or cutting purposes. By the 1970s paintball guns were being marketed for just these purposes. By the 1980s young people who lived in the mountain and rural areas of the United States were playing what they called a survival game with paint ball guns. Today paintball is an ever-growing global sport with sophisticated and expensive gear. Making your own paintballs is one way to help cut back on those paintball expenses.

Instructions

1. Set up your items on a worktable where you will not be disturbed. Cover the floor with a tarp.

2. Pour the paint from the container into a small plastic pitcher.

3. Take five or six balloons and stretch them several times so they will be easier to manipulate.

4. Put the long part of a funnel into the head of the balloon. Pour the paint through the funnel into the balloon.

5. Tie the end of the balloon into a tight knot. Snip off the excess balloon knot with the scissors. Drop the homemade pellet into your gun and try firing it at a target. If the ball is too small it will just roll out onto the ground. If it is too big, it will just break up in the gun. Make the necessary adjustments until you get the right size.

6. Continue filling the balloons with paint until you have all the paintballs you require.

Information On Airsoft Guns

From a distance, airsoft wars can look just like the real thing.

Airsoft guns are toy fire arms that shoot rubber or plastic pellets. Many enthusiasts use these guns for target practice or recreational war games. There is a sizable market for guns, gear and rented battle fields.

Features

Airsoft guns are available in a variety of styles from pistol to rifle. They function one of three ways: a spring mechanism, electronic motor or pressurized gas. The casing of these firearms can be plastic or metal. Enthusiasts rate guns by size, weight, material, feel, firing mechanism, trademarks and look. The realism of these guns has caused many concerns with law enforcement.

Price

Most users choose a gun by price or style. Inexpensive guns look like toys, fire at low velocity and often break easily. Beginners should expect to spend $100 on their first gun. Brand name, high-end models a can cost a few hundred dollars---not including upgrades.

Safety

Many groups have expressed concern with the use of airsoft guns by teenagers and children. Although safe in the hands of an adult, these toys can cause bodily harm if used carelessly. However, airsoft guns are safer than BB and pellet guns as they have a shorter range and lower velocity. To prevent accidental injury, commercial airsoft ranges and camps often provide safety demonstrations for new users. Face protection and appropriate clothing are also encouraged.

Laws

In the United States, all airsoft guns must be marked with a bright orange strip no less than 6mm wide. The same coating must be applied to the muzzle of the weapon. These measures ensure law officers and citizens alike can distinguish between a toy and a real firearm. Some states prohibit minors from purchasing airsoft guns, while others ban their use entirely.

Get A Gun License In Ontario

You must have a license to possess firearms in Canada.

Under the Firearms Act, Canadian residents and visitors must obtain a firearms license for any gun they wish to hold. Apply for the license that fits the class of weapon you have in your possession or that you would like to acquire. Guns can be part of one of three firearms classes: non-restricted, restricted and prohibited. You must possess the proper license for each kind of gun you own.

Instructions

1. Call the Ontario Firearms Office at 1-800-731-4000 and dial extension 7503 to find out where your nearest Canadian Firearms Safety Course instructor is located. Design A Paintball Field

Paintball is played by private groups and organizations in numerous locations.

Paintball is a great game to play for those interested in contemporary warfare combat games. Paintball is generally played inside specific boundaries on private property, or on a designated field with obstacles and bunkers. Many paintball enthusiasts prefer to design their own field by determining the placement of obstacles, trails and bunkers. The design is entirely up to the landowner or the team members. A paintball field should be designed differently on both sides, but made equally difficult to navigate and engage the opposing team, without giving one side an advantage.

Instructions

1. Measure the length and width of the property or field for which you'll be designing the course. You may be able to find the property measurements in your city records department or on your land title. If you have a large property, decide what the boundaries should be. This is up to you or your team members. Note any natural obstacles such as large rocks, rivers, streams, lakes, trenches, tree-lines or hedgerows.

2. Draw the field dimensions on a large piece of paper to make a map-like design. Include the natural obstacles as you draw out the field dimensions.

3. Divide the field into two sections by drawing a line across the middle of the paper. This will represent both sides of play, designating the territory for both teams.

4. Decide how many artificial bunkers or obstacles you want to have on the field for both sides. Both sides should have an equal amount of bunkers to hide behind and a fort where the team flag will be placed. Bunkers are typically large inflatable objects that you can place wherever you like, or plywood sheets mounted onto stands. Both are used to hide behind when engaged in a fire-fight.

5. Draw the bunker placement on the field. Keep an equal amount on both sides, but don't make both sides of the field symmetrical. This will make it too easy for both teams to navigate enemy terrain. Generally you want to place bunkers in an open area, as trees will provide cover in wooded areas. Place the team forts at opposite ends of the field, like the end-zones on a football field. Each team will start at their own fort and advance toward the enemy fort.

6. Finalize the sketch with your team members and make copies of the field map. Purchase your supplies and build your field.

Make A Custom Nerf Gun

Whether you are in a heated cubicle war or having a backyard battle, Nerf guns can be a blast for young and old alike. The soft darts allow for safe gun play, and there is a wide variety of Nerf guns available. Whether you opt for a long-range rifle, a fully automatic blaster to lay down suppressing fire, or a pistol for closer encounters, customizing your Nerf gun is sure to impress your comrades in arms.

Instructions

1. Lay down the newspaper and place the Nerf Gun on top of it. Use the spray paint to apply a base coat to the exterior of the gun. Once the spray paint dries, flip the gun over and paint the other side of the gun. Do not spray paint inside of the gun as the paint may cause some moving parts to not function properly.

2. Use the paint brushes and acrylic paint to paint any details on the gun. To achieve a metallic effect, put a very small amount of metallic colored paint onto the brush and wipe the brush on the newspaper until it's almost dry, then lightly brush any raised areas on the gun with the nearly dry brush.

3. Paint your name, initials or a small design in an inconspicuous area to be able to identify the gun as your own.

Buy Air Pistols

If you have a son or daughter about 14 years old they may be interested in air pistols. Air pistols are a good introduction to the world of firearms because they require little cleaning and maintenance to operate properly, unlike most bolt action rifles, and they're lighter and have no kickback like a shot gun.

Instructions

1. Think about fit, form and function for the air pistols you're looking to buy. There's a wide range of air pistols from cute little air soft pistols to realistic tactical air pistols with laser sights and combat grips, with muzzle velocities of 380 feet per second or more that look extremely realistic and can shoot your eye out.

2. Check the age rating on the air pistols you buy, especially if it's for a minor. All Daisy brand air rifles and pistols now have an age-appropriate rating. Most air pistols recommend that a 16 year old is an appropriate age for air pistol ownership.

3. Buy a quality air pistol from a trusted retailer and manufacturer. Daisy has been manufacturing air pistols and rifles for years and buying from an established manufacturer ensures you're getting what you paid for.

4. Expect to pay around 100 dollars for good quality air pistols, though there are much cheaper models for around 20 dollars, called air soft pistols, suitable for younger kids. As with anything, you get what you pay for so look for quality air pistols like those carried at Cabela's and other sporting goods stores with prices ranging from less than 30 to over 250 dollars.

5. Get air pistols with integrated rails so you can mount tactical accessories such as red dot sights and lights. Buy a combat laser air pistol such as the Gamo R-77 that's outfitted with a swing-out eight shot cylinder, combat grip and finger grooves for non-slip, double-action shooting.

Use Apex Barrels On The Proto Matrix Rail

The Proto Matrix Rail is a electropneumatic paintball gun manufactured by DYE Precision. The weapon is a tournament style paintball gun utilizing an unbalanced spool balance design, capable of firing 30 balls per second. The APEX barrel is designed to impart spin on the end of the barrel which makes the ball curve left, right or dive towards a target hiding behind an object. The Proto Matrix Rail barrel is APEX ready, making installation of the APEX barrel fast and simple.

Instructions

1. Unload the paintball gun's hopper. Ensure that no ammunition is present in the weapon.

2. Screw on the Apex barrel to the end of the Proto Matrix Rail barrel. Tighten the lock ring and the base of the Apex. Ensure that the curve selector switch is positioned on top of the barrel as a sight would normally be. Note that the Proto Matrix Barrel can be removed completely and replaced with the APEX barrel, but the Proto Matrix Rail barrel is threaded to fit the APEX barrel as well.

3. Turn the selector switch to the desired curve that you need. For example: If an opponent is behind a barrier to your right, set the selector switch to the right curve setting.

4. Load the hopper with paintballs. Power on the paintball gun using the on/off switch. Place the gun's selector switch to the "fire" position. Fire the weapon when you're ready.

Remove Paint Residue From Wood Grain

Remove embedded paint within wood grain in a few simple steps.

Stripping paint from wood surfaces can be difficult and tedious. More often than not, when you remove the paint from the surface of the wood, residual paint remains stuck in the wood grain. No need to call in a professional to fix this problem, however, as you can remove the paint residue on your own. It takes patience, but you can remove the paint using some simple techniques. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Open every door and window near the work area. Proper ventilation and allowing fresh air to come in helps protect yourself from harmful chemical fumes given off by the paint stripper. Cover surrounding objects, flooring and other surfaces you want protected from potential paint stripper accidents with plastic tarps.

2. Put on gloves, eye goggles and a filter mask to protect your skin, eyes and respiratory system from the chemical paint stripper.

3. Open the can of paint stripper and dip the tip of a small paintbrush into the solution. Apply the chemical stripper onto the wood, covering the area where the paint is embedded within the grain. Allow the chemical stripper to sit on the paint for as long as the package label directs.

4. Scrape the blade of a putty knife over the paint area to remove as much as possible from the wood surface. Hold the putty knife at a 45-degree angle when scraping the wood.

5. Spread a second coat of paint stripper over the area with the same paintbrush as you used before. Allow the stripper to sit on the wood for the stated amount of time on the packaging.

6. Rub a #0000 steel wood pad over the wood area to remove as much paint from the wood grain as you can. Wipe the area clean of chemical stripper with paper towels.

7. Allow the wood area to dry overnight. Sand the area with a piece of 200-grit sandpaper to remove the last traces of embedded paint. Remove all the sanding dust with a shop vacuum.

8. Apply a coat of polyurethane wood finish onto the area where you removed the paint. Using a paintbrush, try to match the sheen of the finish with the sheen of the surrounding wood surface. Polyurethane finishes are available in gloss, semi-gloss and matte. If the wood surface is unfinished and has no coating of finish, skip this step. Allow the finished coat to dry overnight before using the wood surface.

Make A Tommy Gun Balloon

If you want to impress a group of kids, make tommy gun balloons for each of them. The tommy gun is quick and easy to create and kids will love running around pretending they're cops and robbers.

Instructions

1. Inflate the balloon. Pinch it about 3 to 5 inches from your mouth to make it easier to blow up. Release your fingers once that section is blown up so you can blow up the remainder of the balloon.

2. Leave 1- to 2-inch tail at the end of the balloon. This reduces the chances of the balloon popping while you're twisting it.

3. Create the handle by doing a lock twist at the nozzle end of the balloon. Fold the balloon and twist it two or three times. This keeps balloon in place. You should now have a bubble on top with the handle shape on the bottom of the balloon.

4. Pinch the balloon about 5 to 6 inches from the handle you just created. Twist the balloon and then fold one end over. There should now be a loop facing down.

5. Make another small loop by pinching and twisting about 4 inches from the fist loop.

6. Straighten the balloon so both handles are facing down. Your tommy gun balloon is complete once you have the handles in line.

California Firearms Shipping Law

California places tighter restrictions on firearm shipment than federal law.

In 2008, the California Bureau of Firearms implemented the California Firearms Licensee Check System (CFLC), designed to protect consumers by creating stricter requirements on the shipment of firearms. This law tightened and placed new limitations on all such shipments within, and into, California.

Methods of Shipment

Federal law designates the ways in which firearms can be shipped. Anyone wishing to ship them must receive a Federal Firearm License, which governs all transactions, both interstate and intrastate. Either the United States Postal Service (USPS) or any common or contract carriers may be used to mail "long guns" (rifles and shotguns). Handguns, however, are not allowed to be mailed through the USPS and may only be shipped via a private carrier, such as FedEx or UPS. Gun parts may be sent without restrictions (as long as they don't add up to a whole gun). No firearms may be carried on the person of anyone traveling on commercial transportation such as planes, trains, ships or buses--they must be mailed or shipped by the previously described methods.

California Requirements

By creating the CFLC, California placed further requirements upon all Federal Firearms Licensees (FFLs) doing business with anyone in the state. All FFLs are required to register with the California Department of Justice and obtain a Firearm Shipment Approval Letter for every transaction in which a California FFL is the recipient of firearms. This is done to ensure the shipper has verified their recipient is properly licensed and listed in the state database of those who may legally receive firearms. All intrastate shipments are under the same requirements.

Reaction

Due to what most FFLs considered an unfair burden upon them, there was a largely negative reaction in the gun community regarding the California law. The fact that every shipment needed the new paperwork, along with requirements such as the recipient FFL needing to retain the letter for three years, caused many to say they would no longer deal with California companies. But the outcry was limited to the gun sellers, and didn't find much sympathy elsewhere. California has made efforts to streamline the application process for FFLs and, as of 2010, the system now seems to be working smoothly.

1/18 Mini Baja Specs

RC cars have been entertaining people since the 1960s.

RC cars came into existence sometime in the mid-1960s. They were initially just car models with model airplane engines in them. During the '70s, the design evolved and by the end of the decade there were off-roading remote control cars. It was in the world of all-terrain RC cars that Team Losi made its mark in the early '80s. Losi has continued to push their designs for maximum performance and entertainment.

Body

The 1/18 Mini-Baja is a little over 8 1/2 inches long. It's 7 inches wide and has a wheelbase of over 5 1/2 inches. It weighs just under 19 oz. The Mini-Baja comes standard in black, silver or blue. The Baja has "big paddle tires" that help it maneuver over any harsh outdoor terrain. It also comes with an extra set of tires that you may change out whenever you desire. The Baja is equipped with oil-filled shocks and has a complete ball-bearing set.

Inside

According to Losi, the changes to the Mini-Baja have made it the "ultimate in two-wheel-drive mini ready-to-run performance." The new Mini-Baja comes with an upgraded RX-280 electric motor. It features the Losi ESC speed control, which according to Losi offers "higher speeds and longer run times." The car runs on a 7.2 volt 1100 milliampere hour battery. The radio signal in the Mini-Baja is a 27-megahertz synthesized FM signal.

Other Features

The Baja transmitter has a three-wire servo that sends the signals from the controller to the RC car. The transmitter requires eight AA batteries. The Baja comes with an AC wall charger. The 1/18 Mini-Baja usually sells for $149.99 as of 2010. All of the features previously listed are standard on the Baja. You may customize your Mini-Baja in any way you'd like, as all of Losi's licensed pieces and replacement parts are adaptable to this model.

The Effects Of Spray Painting Without A Mask

Air-fed masks should be worn when spraying isocyantes.

Paint a car without wearing suitable respiratory equipment, and you could end up paying for your negligence with poor health in the future. The dangers of using two-pack paints in the automotive industry have been well-documented in recent years, and strict legislation is now in place to control the release of volatile organic compounds (VOC). Employees who paint cars in body shops, and auto enthusiasts who complete projects at home, should never consider spraying a car without a protective mask in place.

Dangers of Isocyanates

Isocyanates are highly reactive chemicals that have a low molecular weight. These qualities allow isocyanate products to be sprayed as a mist or vapor and they are commonly used in a variety of industry processes. Direct contact with the skin can cause irritation, but isocyanates are at their most dangerous during application. Two-pack paint products contain harmful isocyanates that irritate the membranes of the eyes and damage the gastrointestinal and respiratory tracts. Users of isocyanate materials become sensitized, and this can cause ailments such as asthma if exposure to isocyanates occurs in the future.

Dangers of Spraying Without a Mask

Modern body shops use respiratory equipment to protect their workforce from the dangers of isocyanate poisoning. The most common form of personal protection equipment is an air-fed mask, which feeds a controlled supply of clean air to isocyanate users while spraying is in progress. According to a report by the Health and Safety Executive published in 2009, sprayers are 80 times more likely to develop asthma than a worker in any other environment, and this makes mask use mandatory.

The Short-Term Effects of Isocyanates

Early signs of isocyanate damage can include red eyes that continually water because the membranes have been eroded. Workers will often experience coldlike symptoms including deep coughing and a runny nose. The chest will often feel tight, even when a worker is at home, and breathlessness and wheezing can occur when the worker is resting or sleeping. As exposure to isocyanate materials increases, the symptom become progressively worse until the worker develops severe asthma, which is incurable.

The Long -term Effects of Isocyanates

The effects of isocyanates over a longer period time are more severe. Workers often find that they have to leave their jobs because they fail mandatory lung tests, and this can result in financial hardship if alternative employment cannot be found. For many, the effects of isocyanate poisoning become more concerning as they get older, and many former paint sprayers have to use ventilator equipment to breathe more easily. In some cases, the effects of isocyanates can even be fatal.

Information On Air Tank Hydro Testing

Scuba tanks must be hydrostatically tested periodically.

Hydrostatic testing of air tanks must occur every five years by a certified technician. The idea is to determine whether the tank is structurally sound and will not burst under pressure. During this procedure the tank is filled with water and pressurized to check the effects of higher pressures on the tank. It is an industry requirement in most countries to have tanks hydrostatically tested periodically.

Preparation

The tank is first filled with water from a high pressure water pump. It is fitted with a special valve to allow it to be pressurized and then submerged in a sealed chamber, which is also filled with water. O-rings around this chamber ensure that no leakage will occur when it is closed for pressurization.

Testing

The tank is then pressurized to 5/3 of its working pressure-the pressure to which the tank is normally filled. The idea of the hydrostatic test is to test the integrity of the cylinder at greater pressures, in this case 5/3. For example, in the case of a tank whose working pressure is 300 Bar, then it would be pressurized to 500 Bar. Under pressure the tank expands, displacing the water surrounding it from the chamber and forcing it into a small hose attached to the chamber and into a measuring device, called a burette. Once a stable reading (normally over a period of 30 seconds) of the displacement is measured on the burette, then the tank is depressurized. Another reading will then be taken from the burette to note any change in tank volume.

Results

If the tank does not return close to its original volume reading-within at least 10%-but remains stretched further, then the metal is considered not resilient enough to be used working under pressure again. Once the volume reading has been taken, then the tank is drained and visually inspected once again. Tanks that pass the hydrostatic test have the test date stamped on the neck of the tank for verification of the next due test date. The valve is then re-inserted and the tank refilled.

Legal Requirements

Federal law requires a hydrostatic inspection every five years, unless something happens to the tank that would warrant testing sooner. This would be something that can affect the structural integrity of the tank, such as being dropped from a height, exposure to heat, or painting with inappropriate substances.

Extra Information

The reason for using water over gas is that in the event of a rupture, the results would be minor compared to a rupture with pressurized gas, which expanding to several hundred times its compressed volume, would cause an explosion.

Make Body Armor

This is homemade ballistic armor, but not mine.

Do you live in a high crime area? Maybe your an avid outdoors man, who shares his/her space with hunters. Maybe you just like interesting "Arts and Crafts" projects. In this article, I will give you step-by-step instructions about making Ballistics Armor. Armor is completely, 50 state, legal, and, unfortunately, is a good idea for people in certain locations.

Instructions

1. Lay 10, 10"x30" sheets of cotton on a hard surface.(Concrete floor, sturdy table, etc.) Flatten them with something heavy, I prefer using a bowling ball. When they are compressed very tightly, saturate with polyester resin, then put 10 more sheets on top of that, and re-flatten them. Repeat this step until your armor is roughly 50 sheets deep, and about 3.5" thick.

Optional: For added protection, you can add alloy(steel, iron, aluminium) plates between every tenth sheet of cotton, however, this will dramatically increase the weight, and thickness of your finnished armor.

2. Let the stacked, resined sheets dry for 24 hours, in a warm dry location.

3. Wrap the dried stack in a sheet of material. Seal the wrapping materials with super glue.

4. Now, you should have a 4" thick stack of resin hardened fabric(Unless you used metal plates, then it could be much thicker.) Apply 1 coat of Fiberglass resin(Font, back, and sides.), every 3 hours for 9 hours, then, let the plate dry for a further 24 hours.

5. When the plate is completely dry, and has 3 coats of Fiberglass resin, sand the surface down, gently, until it is smooth.

6. Now, all you need is a plate carrier, which I will teach you build in my next article.

Make Your Stampede Nerf Gun Shoot Faster

The Nerf Stampede is a battery powered, fully automatic blaster that uses air pressure to fire foam darts at targets. This Nerf gun has a built-in shield and can lay down serious suppressive fire, making the Stampede a great choice in a Nerf battle. Right out of the box, the Stampede has a respectable rate of fire, but sometimes respectable just isn't enough. By increasing the voltage of the batteries, you will have your Nerf Stampede hurling darts all over the battlefield even faster.

Instructions

1. Open the battery sled of the Stampede and remove any old batteries that may be present.

2. Place all four 3.7 volt lithium ion batteries into the 4-AA battery holder.

3. Place the battery holder into the bottom slot in the battery sled onto one of the positive connections.

4. The battery holder should have a black wire attached to the end of the casing. Attach this wire inside the coil of the closest negative connection inside the battery sled.

5. Reattach the battery sled to the Nerf Stampede.

Pros & Cons Of Safety Vests

safety vests come in a variety of illuminous styles and colors

Safety vests are most commonly used at places of work which contain an element of danger that requires safety precautions. This can include, for instance, railway maintenance workers, building construction site workers or individuals involved in crowd control. Safety vests also provide personal protection when riding a small vehicle, or other times when visibility is imperative. The vests come in many forms and colors, dependant on the specific requirement of a situation.

High Visibility

The main purpose of safety vests is to provide high visibility. This enables others to see the wearer easily in adverse weather conditions, enabling her to stay safer. Illuminous colors and reflective materials are used to make up the vests. Specific colours or styles are often used to suit the type of activity taking place to enable the individuals to stand out from their surroundings.

Additional Benefits

Safety vests can also provide additional protection and warmth. Some safety vests contain padding which can protects from injury when the user falls or is hit by an object. The additional warmth can also be essential when the vest is being used at night or in adverse weather conditions.

Increased Weight

The increased weight that a safety vest provides can be a negative. Some safety vests contain a large amount of padding, which can slow movement and result in expending more energy. This can also be a problem in hot conditions, as overheating can become an issue.

Movement Obstruction

Many types of safety vests can obstruct movement. Larger vests can prevent movement of limbs in a regular manner due to the bulky nature of the padding around the arms and chest. Vests with arms can also prevent certain hand movement, which makes tasks which require dexterity more difficult. Smaller vests can often blow around someone if used in outdoor situations. This can result in the vest becoming trapped and preventing movement, which can be dangerous.

Build A Tennis Ball Antenna Launcher

An antenna gives you a connection to the outside world.

Mounting an antenna high in a tree can be tricky. Raising that much weight in that awkward of a form is virtually impossible. The solution to this problem is to lift the antenna with a rope. Getting a rope up the tree can be done in different ways. A tennis ball launcher can help you to get the whole assembly where it needs to be in the tree and have a bit of fun in the process. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Sand the outside of the last 3 inches of one end of each PVC pipe. Sand both inside edges of the coupling with the sandpaper. Wipe all three pieces with a clean cloth to remove debris. Apply PVC primer onto the sanded surfaces. Apply PVC glue over the primer and slide the pipes into the coupler. Allow the glue 10 minutes to cure.

2. Slide the 1 1/2-inch end of the assembly over the barrel of the paintball gun and secure the two pieces with duct tape. Wrap the tape around the pipe, the barrel and the seam between the gun and pipe 10 times. Lay one end of the fishing line on top of the tape after the fifth wrap and secure it to the assembly with the last half of the layer of tape.

3. Tear off a 1-inch piece of duct tape from its roll. Apply three drops of instant glue to the sticky side of the tape. Secure the free end of the fishing line on the tennis ball with the glue covered tape. Allow the glue two minutes to cure.

4. Pull the fishing line to the 3-inch pipe and wrap it around the PVC leaving only 1 inch remaining. Slide the tennis ball into the 3-inch opening. Aim the entire assembly into the air, disengage the safety and pull the trigger to launch the tennis ball.

Refinish A Black Gun Barrel

You can remove old gun finish and restore the blue or black finish.

Most gun barrels are coated in a bluing agent that turns deep blue or black. This finish protects the metal surface from water, rust and scratches. After years of use in the field, the surface of a gun barrel will become worn. It's also possible that bluing will rub off in some spots. To refinish a black gun barrel, you must first remove the original finish. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Rub the entire metal surface of the gun barrel with a piece of fine-grit steel wool until the remaining finish rubs off. This may require vigorous scrubbing for several minutes.

2. Apply a degreaser, such as shellite or acetone, to a cotton rag.

3. Rub the degreasing agent on the barrel to remove all oils from the barrel's surface. Wipe the barrel dry with a clean edge of the rag.

4. Apply a gun bluing agent to a lint-free cloth and gently rub the solution evenly across the entire surface of the gun barrel. Rub in a circular motion to ensure an even coat. The barrel will begin to turn blue, then dark blue, and then black. The richness of the color depends on how much solution you apply. It's up to you to decide what color works best for your firearm.

5. Apply gun oil liberally to a cotton rag and rub the oil over the entire surface of the barrel. Make sure to saturate all areas of the metal with gun oil. Allow the gun to sit overnight with the oil on the metal.

6. Rub the surface of the barrel with an oiled rag 24 hours after you applied the first coat. This will remove excess bluing and polish the surface of the newly colored barrel.

Flash Frp Games

FRP (Fantasy Role Playing) is a genre of gaming that focuses heavily on fantasy elements like dragons, elves and other mythical creatures. Magic usually plays a big part, and combat typically involves a mixture of magical spells and melee weapons, like swords and axes. Since Flash has made it easy to play games online, FRP games have become popular, and there are many of them available. While their stories and characters might differ, all FRP games share common elements.

3D Isometric FRP Games

Some Flash FRP games make use of a 3D isometric viewpoint for the action, meaning everything is viewed from a skewed, top down perspective. This is similar to the "Diablo" franchise of popular commercial FRP games and one of the best Flash examples is "Kings Island" and its sequel "Kings Island 2." You take control of a single character who has to battle against hordes of fantasy creatures, like undead skeletons, while performing quests for people and collecting loot along the way. The games can be played free online but are quite large and can take a while to load.

Top-Down FRP Games

In top-down fantasy role playing games the action is viewed from an overhead perspective, similar to the "Legend Of Zelda" series of classic RPGs. "Fellowship Of Kings" is a free Flash FRP game that shares many similarities with the "Zelda" titles. You travel around a fantasy world performing quests while battling monsters. Unlike the real-time battles in 3D isometric FRP games, most top-down FRP games have turn-based battles, as the "Fellowship Of Kings."

Side-View FRP Games

Side-view FRP games share a lot of similarities with platform games but are usually more nonlinear, with exploration elements instead of a straightforward left to right path for levels. They also incorporate statistics, levels that increase and items that can be found and used during game play. One example of a side-view FRP game is "Power Knight," in which you play the role of a knight that has to search a castle for jewels before facing and defeating an evil king. The visuals are very primitive, but the game play is solid.

Map-View FRP Games

Some Flash FRP games take their inspiration from classic dungeon crawls like the "Rogue" series. Instead of flashy visuals, the entire game is viewed on a map that displays your position in relation to points of interest in the game world. Combat takes place when your party encounters enemies while exploring and is resolved in turn-based fashion. These types of Flash FRP games are usually filled with statistics and are aimed more at the hardcore fantasy role-playing crowd. One of the best examples of the genre is "Monsters Den," which can be played free online.
