Set Up A Paintball Field And The Cost

Paintball courses can take advantage of natural surroundings to make the play more interesting.

Paintball is a popular activity that combines tactical skills, physical agility and, everyone's favorite, shooting people with balls of paint. A paintball course can be set up in a variety of places, and the costs can run into the thousands of dollars. Set up your own course in woods on your property to take advantage of natural cover and minimize costs. Place bunkers and bases in strategic locations and mark the course boundaries.

Instructions

1. Mark the boundaries of the course with tape strung between trees, rocks or posts. Inspect the area where you will place your course, remove debris such as limbs or rocks, and fill in any holes to eliminate hazards. Find locations for at least two bases to be used by competing teams. Note good locations for additional bunkers and other places to hide or provide cover for the players.

2. Place stacked bales of straw at strategic locations on opposite ends of the course for the bases. Stack as many as necessary for the bases and to provide adequate cover for defending the bases. A flag or other marker can be placed on top of the bases if you wish. These flags can be the prize the opposing teams try to capture during the game.

3. Place more bales of straw strategically around the course to serve as bunkers. Stack them and lash them as necessary. Dig a few short trenches large enough for a few players and about 3 feet deep for additional bunkers. Shovel the dirt into the burlap bags and tie them off. Place these bags of dirt around the trenches to provide more cover for defense or ambush.

4. Estimate your costs. The cost for a paintball course such as this will be minimal. A challenging course using the woods' natural cover can be completed for just the cost of the bales of straw, the burlap bags and the boundary tape. Even a fairly elaborate course built in this manner can be completed with a budget under $300 and possibly much less depending on how much material, such as the bales, you plan to use.

Make A Homemade Combat Vest For Airsoft

Fun: Playing "Capture the Flag" with airsoft guns. Not fun: Having your back and chest covered with dozens of purple, pellet-sized welts.

Luckily, you can fashion an effective and machine-washable airsoft combat vest for as little as $20. Made with household materials, this vest is designed primarily as a flexible piece of armor that covers the area between the waist and shoulders.

Instructions

1. Cut off the arms of both T-shirts with the scissors.

2. Using the ruler and chalk, trace as many 4-inch by 16-inch rectangles as possible onto each pair of jeans.

3. Cut out the 4-inch by 16-inch rectangles.

4. Fold each rectangle over twice to make a four-layer-thick, 4-inch by 4-inch square.

5. Lay one shirt flat and arrange 4-inch by 4-inch squares across the front side. Put the squares in a grid pattern, allowing a 3/8-inch space between each shape.

6. Using the needle and thread, put a stitch through the center of each square to attach it to the front of the T-shirt.

7. Flip the T-shirt over and arrange the remaining 4-inch by 4-inch squares tightly across the back side. Again, leave a 3/8-inch border around each square.

8. Using the needle and thread, put a stitch through the center of these squares to attach each one to the back of the T-shirt.

9. Slide the other T-shirt on top of the square-stiched shirt, lining up the arm holes and neck.

10. Trace the 3/8-inch gaps underneath onto the top shirt with the chalk. If done correctly, this will essentially outline the 4-inch by 4-inch squares underneath.

11. Put the sewing machine on a single-stitch setting and sew the fronts of the two T-shirts together along the chalk lines. The goal is to avoid sewing through the jean squares.

12. Flip the shirts over and trace the 3/8-inch gaps on the back side.

13. Sew the backs of the two T-shirts together along the chalk lines. Again, the goal is to avoid sewing through the jean squares.

14. Sew around the edges of the left and right arm holes to seal the two shirts together.

15. Sew around the edge of the neck to seal the two shirts together.

16. Sew around the bottom openings of the shirts to finish sealing them together.

Customize Your Paintball Gun

Owning your own paintball marker will help you save money when visiting fields, as you will not have to rent a gun. In addition, purchasing your own gun allows you to customize it as desired. There are many styles of customization, ranging from paint jobs to adding parts to improve performance.

Instructions

Camoflage Painting Your Gun

1. Select your paint colors. A woodland camouflage job uses a combination of forest green, brown and khaki. A desert camo uses feature khaki, a lighter shade of khaki and a light brown. Snow camo features white and two shades of light gray.

2. Remove any gun peripherals you will not be painting, such as the barrel or feeder, by unscrewing them.

3. Remove any loose parts of the gun, such as the bolt, which can be removed using a set of allen keys.

4. Mask any areas of the gun you do not wish to paint, using paper and tape. This should always include any openings in the gun, as you do not want to get paint inside your gun.

5. Spray the gun with the lightest paint you have, and let it dry completely; then, flip it over and spray the other side with the same paint.

6. Spray the gun with your mid-colored paint in an up-and-down, zig-zag fashion on both sides of the gun, letting it dry after painting each side.

7. Spray the gun with your darkest paint in several patches on each side of the gun. The patches do not have to be perfect circles, and they can be applied at random across each side of the gun.

8. Remove the masking tape and reassemble your gun after the final patches have dried.

Custom Parts and Their Uses

9. Attach an automatic feeder to your gun in place of a standard elbow feeder to increase the rate at which balls are fed into your gun, increasing your potential fire rate.

10. Use a front grip to run the carbon-dioxide line through a grip in front of the pistol grip. This extra grip allows you to more comfortably fire the gun with two hands, allowing you to hold it steadier for more consistent shooting.

11. Mount a laser dot on the top of your gun to show where you are aiming. Although a laser dot cannot be relied on to guarantee a hit--paintballs drop considerably over long distances and also can curve to the left or right, based on wind--a laser dot can improve results by letting you know the general direction your shots will go.

Fasten A Dring Strap

D-ring straps fasten quickly and snugly.

D-ring straps are useful in a variety of applications. They are most commonly found in motorcycle helmets and camping gear, but they can actually be used whenever two straps need to be fastened and pulled tight in opposite directions, without having to hold a large amount of weight. By passing the tail end of a strap through the D-rings properly and pulling tight, you create friction on the strap by pressing the D-rings against it. This is a quick and convenient solution for many fastening problems.

Instructions

1. Ensure that neither end of the strap is tangled or twisted.

2. Pass the strap around whatever it is holding in place and insert the tail end of the strap through both D-rings.

3. Fold the tail end of the strap back over the first D-ring in the direction from which it came and insert it under the second D-ring.

4. Pull the tail end of the strap parallel to the strap running into the D-ring until the strap is snug.

5. Remove the strap by grabbing the round part of the D-rings from underneath and pulling them outward, away from the strap. This will relieve the friction against the strap and the entire strap should come loose.

Shoot An Mp40

The German MP40 submachine gun, also known as the "burp gun," was introduced in 1940 and used heavily during World War II. This weapon matched the firepower of the U.S. Thompson submachine gun, which was used by some U.S. troops. Replicas of the MP40 and some originals are still in circulation around the world today. Shooting an MP40 must be done in accordance with federal and local laws. Civilian-legal semi-automatic versions of the MP40 are available and do not require a Federal Firearms License or a transfer fee.

Instructions

1. Insert a loaded magazine into the magazine well. Slap the bottom of the magazine firmly. Listen for an audible click to ensure that the magazine is seated properly.

2. Pull the cocking lever to the rear. This action places the bolt face onto the round.

3. Hold the grip with your dominant hand. Hold the top of the magazine with the other hand. Shoulder the weapon and take aim through the front and rear sights. Center the front sight post within the rear sight aperture.

4. Center the target within the front and rear sight. Depress the trigger when you're ready to fire. Repeat pressing the trigger to fire consecutive rounds.

Use Nitrogen In Paintball Guns

You can use nitrogen gas to fire your paintball gun.

Paintball guns, also called markers, can use nitrogen tanks to propel the paintballs out of the gun. Serious paintball players use nitrogen tanks, which come in two standard sizes of 3,000 or 4,500 PSI, because a gun with a nitrogen tank can fire more paintballs than a gun with a CO2 tank. Playing paintball using a nitrogen tank is simple due to the basic components that attach the tank to the paintball gun.

Instructions

1. Inspect the nitrogen tank prior to attaching the tank to the paintball gun. Check the O-ring to make sure it is not broken. The O-ring, a rubber washer located at the top of the paintball tank, prevents air from leaking out of the tank. Replace a broken O-ring by sliding a new one around the threaded top of the tank.

2. Attach the nitrogen tank on the paintball gun's air adapter, located toward the bottom rear of the gun. Fit the nitrogen tank tightly in place by twisting it clockwise. If the threads are not smooth or the tank won't screw into place, rub two drops of gun oil with your finger around the threads to lubricate them. Listen for the air from the tank rushing into the paintball gun--this will tell you that you have fitted the tank correctly.

3. Fill the nitrogen tank if the pressure gauge shows less than 500 PSI. Remove the rubber cap, located next to the pressure gauge, from the nitrogen tank. Attach the fill station hose adapter to the metal fill component on the tank. The fill station will fill the paintball tank with nitrogen to the proper PSI level, which can be either 3,000 or 4,500 PSI. Remove the fill station hose adapter from the tank once the tank is filled. Replace the rubber cap to prevent paint or dirt from entering the tank while playing the game.

4. Remove the nitrogen tank from the paintball gun for transport and easy storage once the game is finished. Empty all of the paintballs from the hopper and chamber. While twisting the nitrogen tank counterclockwise, fire the paintball gun repetitively to remove trapped excess air between the gun and the tank. Store the nitrogen tank at room temperature for safekeeping.

Remove The Bolt From A Spyder Pilot Acs

The Spyder Pilot is used for paintball sports.

The Spyder Pilot ACS is a semi-automatic paintball gun, also known as a paintball marker. ACS refers to the Anti-Crop System the gun comes equipped with. You may need to remove the main bolt in the Spyder Pilot for regular maintenance, cleaning or repairs. It is always a good idea to become familiar with the structure and parts of this device before you attempt to take it apart or remove any pieces.

Instructions

1. Remove the air tank from your Spyder Pilot before starting this procedure.

2. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the feedneck on your Spyder by unscrewing the two screws that hold it in place in a counterclockwise direction. Put these screws in a safe place, such as your pocket.

3. Hold the paintball gun by the handle and locate the silver top cocking knob that sticks out the top of the gun. Pull this knob out and put it to the side.

4. Grab the silver quick release pin on the left side of the air gun and pull it out. This pin holds the rear cocking bolt in place.

5. Loosen the lock screw on the end of this bolt in a counterclockwise direction to make it a bit easier to pull out.

6. Pull the rear cocking bolt on the rear of your Spyder all the way back. You may have to pull pretty hard to accomplish this step because there is ball bearing inside the gun that puts pressure on the spring inside. Once you have released this bolt, the pieces in this section of the gun can be separated.

7. Continue with the cleaning, repairing or maintenance of your Spyder.

Make A Cheap Paintball Jersey

Creating your own paintball jersey is a fun way to personalize your hobby.

Making your own paintball jersey allows you to customize it any way you would like. Paintballs travel at extremely high velocities and will sting when they hit you; they may even leave serious welts if you are hit on exposed skin. Ideally you will want to make your jersey using a heavy-duty material like thick cotton, and make sure that it has long sleeves to leave as little exposed skin as possible. This will soften the blow and prevent you from leaving the game early due to an injury.

Instructions

1. Design the shirt on paper in as much detail as possible including the colors that will be included. If you like, choose colors to match your paintball gear (like your pads and mask). Sketch your design. If possible, add some paint accents near sensitive areas such as the neck and armpit. The paint will act as a second barrier that will offer improved protection from paintball impacts.

2. Shop for a plain long-sleeved shirt and look for thick material that can withstand paintball impacts. Thick cotton or a thick polyester blend will provide a combination of mobility and protection from paintball impacts. Purchase fabric paint that is permanent and water-proof. Your paintball jersey will need to be washed regularly to remove the stains.

3. Paint the shirt with the fabric paint, taking care to follow your design as closely as possible. Let the paint dry completely so that it sets. Wash the shirt in cold water to ensure that it has set properly and is conditioned.

Information On Glue Guns

Glue guns melt glue in stick form at high temperatures.

Glue guns melt glue in stick form to provide a high-strength bond for many craft and DIY projects. They are perfect for working with projects that involve wood, metal and fabrics, as the glue dries quickly to create a strong bond. Glue guns come in a variety of sizes, and have high and low temperature ranges.

Types

There are three standard types of glue guns: high-temp, low-temp and dual-temp. High-temp guns are generally used to create stronger bonds for materials such as metal and wood. They melt glue sticks at a temperature of 380 degrees Fahrenheit. Low-temp glue guns melt glue at a temperature of 250 degrees, and are often used for fabric, plastic and heavier paper. Dual-temp guns can be toggled back and forth between a high-temp and low-temp setting. A fourth type, cold-heat or cold-temp glue guns, also use heat to melt glue, but cool to the touch much faster than traditional glue guns.

Function

Most glue guns operate with electricity from a standard three-pronged wall outlet.

Glue guns melt solid glue sticks using a heating element. The glue then drips out the nozzle in liquid form. Some glue guns feed a glue stick through use of a trigger. Others require you to feed a glue stick through the barrel manually. Most glue guns operate using electricity from a standard wall outlet, though some models can be battery powered.

Size

Glue guns come in small and large sizes, and require glue sticks of a corresponding size. Your frequency of use and the size of your project should determine which size you choose. Smaller glue guns are often less expensive than full-sized glue guns, and are better suited for detailed application. Larger glue guns will use fewer glue sticks and can apply glue to a broad surface area with ease.

Benefits

Glue guns bond materials other adhesives cannot, which makes them beneficial for quick home repairs. They are also relatively inexpensive and readily available from any craft store. Glue guns expel adhesive that dries quickly, which provides for ease of use. Most glue sticks are clear and provide an inconspicuous bond, but they also come in different colors to match your project.

Warning

Severe burns can result from improper glue gun use.

A 2006 study conducted by the U.S Product Safety Commission indicates that most glue gun injuries that resulted in hospital treatment were burns to the fingers and hands. Most of these injuries can be prevented by following simple safety precautions. Always consult your operator's manual for proper use instructions, never touch the heated nozzle of your glue gun, and always stay focused on your task. Plunge skin that comes in contact with hot glue into cold water.

Type Inverted Text In Ms Word

Type Inverted Text in MS Word

Creating a document in Microsoft Word can be as easy as typing. Formatting the document to make it suit your purposes can be more difficult, especially if the program doesn't have a tool designed for your purpose. Creating inverted, or upside-down, text is one of those purposes. You can still create text upside-down, for putting answers on puzzles and worksheet, for instance, but it takes a few extra steps.

Instructions

1. Open your document in Microsoft Word.

2. Type the text you want to invert. Make sure it is exactly as you want it to appear because you will not be able to edit it once you have copied and pasted it.

3. Select the text you want to invert.

4. Copy the text by pressing "Control" and "c" at the same time, or by right-clicking on the highlighted text and choosing "Copy" from the menu that appears.

Use the "Copy" function instead of the "Cut" function because it will leave the original text as text. The text you invert will be treated as a picture. If you have a problem with the inverted text you can start over without re-typing the text.

5. Select the "Home" tab from the top left side of the window.

6. Click on "Paste" and then "Paste Special" from the drop-down menu that appears.

7. Choose either of the two "Picture" options from the "Paste as:" section of the pop-up window. The "Enhanced Metafile" option may give better results than the "Windows Metafile" option. Click "OK."

8. Select the text you just pasted. It should appear in the selection as a picture, in a box made up of lines and smaller boxes, rather than highlighted as text would be.

9. Click on the "Page Layout" tab at the top of the window.

10. Click on the "Rotate" menu at the right end of the row of options.

11. Select "Flip Horizontal" and then "Flip Vertical."

Remove Camo Tape

Scrape the adhesive with the plastic spoon to avoid ripping or scratching the material.

Camo tape helps hunters camouflage guns and non-camouflaged components of hunting lodges and equipment. Some camouflage tape is highly adhesive and will leave a very sticky residue when you try to remove it. There are several methods to remove the tape and sticky residue. Use the least-harsh method first to prevent damage to the taped item.

Instructions

1. Gently pull off the camo tape so that it comes off in one piece.

2. Dab nail polish remover onto a clean cloth.

3. Blot the camo tape residue with the nail polish remover until it is completely gone.

4. Spread petroleum jelly over any remaining camo tape residue. Rub the residue to loosen it from the material it is taped on.

5. Wipe up the petroleum jelly and sticker residue.

6. Soak a clean cloth in distilled white vinegar if there is still some tape residue.

7. Place the vinegar-soaked cloth over the tape residue. Let it sit for at least 1 hour to completely loosen the residue.

8. Remove the cloth, and scrape the sticker residue with the back of a plastic spoon.

9. Soak a clean cloth in clear water and rub it over the area to completely rinse away cleaning solutions.

Install J Molding

J molding is a type of molding used to present a finished edge on vinyl or aluminum siding. It is used around window casings and door casings and at the top edge and bottom of the siding to hold siding in place. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Prepare to install J molding by first choosing your nails. Roofing nails are best for installing J molding. If you use ?-inch styrofoam over the studs of the house, you need to use 1 ?-inch or 2-inch nails. These longer nails are necessary in order for the nail to be able to go into the thickness of the styrofoam and still go firmly into the stud. If you are nailing J molding directly into 4-by-8 foot plywood, ?-inch or 1-inch roofing nails will be sufficient.

2. Use this example to begin to install J molding: If you have a 38-inch wide by 48-inch long window, the top piece of J mold would be cut 1 inch longer on each side of your window. This allows you to cut your sides to overlap your top and bottom pieces. Your sides would be 50 inches long. Cut your sides on 45-degree angles. This will give your window a finished look.

3. Finish wrapping your window with the J mold on all four sides. At the top and bottom of the window, your channel will be protruding out into the finished edge of your J mold. Cut that channel out, flush with the back of your J mold. This will give you a channel of 1 inch all the way around your window.

4. Complete each window and door casing using the same technique. To install J molding along the top and bottom edge of siding is done in the same way, but of course, you don't need any 45-degree angles for straight trim.

Nerf Dartboard Instructions

A Nerf dartboard provides a safe alternative to a conventional board.

Kids shoot Nerf guns at houses, windows, walls, lamps and televisions, but mostly at each other. Hasbro's Nerf N-Strike Tech Target provides a safe alternative to a conventional dartboard. This electronic board comes in a kit with one gun and three darts. Play one of three games alone or with a friend. Enjoy shooting darts and improving target skills with this soft dartboard game.

Instructions

1. Open the compartment on the back of the board with a Phillips screwdriver. Insert three AA batteries in the configuration indicated in the battery diagram, and close the compartment. Hang the board from a nail, or lean it back against a steady surface.

2. Push a dart into the front of the gun, and pull back on the top. The gun is now ready to fire.

3. Turn on the game by sliding the switch on the front of the board near the bottom to the "On" position. The board automatically starts Game One. Push the "Mode" button, located on the front of the board near the bottom, to choose Game Two or Game Three.

4. Move back and face the target. To shoot the dart, aim and pull the trigger on the gun. Load another dart to shoot again.

5. Hit the correct zone to score in game one. If the game calls out "zone one," hit the outside ring. If it calls "zone two," hit the middle ring. Aim for the center if you hear "zone three." The score will light up on the front of the board at the end of the game.

6. Hit the correct number in Game Two. The game calls out "four," "eight" or "20." Aim and shoot the ring of the corresponding number to earn points. The scoreboard automatically shows the total points.

7. Load a dart and pull the trigger three times to score points in Game Three. Hit closer to the middle to receive more points. The board counts the points and displays the total on the front.

Play The Game Snaps

Snap you fingers to provide the clues to your famous name.

Snaps is a game that will exercise your mind and entertain you at the same time. The game can be played by two or more people and is especially effective as a party ice breaker, because you don't need anything but your fingers and a quick wit to play. No matter what your reason to play, you can learn the rules for Snaps quickly. Gather your group and explain the rules or just dive into the game -- seeing who catches on can be half the fun.

Instructions

1. Say "Snaps is the name of the game. The name of the game is snaps," to get the first round on its way.

2. Think of a famous person. Your goal is to have the participants figure out who you are thinking of by listening to your voice and counting your finger snaps. For each consonant in your chosen person's name, you will give a clue that begins with that letter. For instance, if a person was thinking about George Bush, the first clue could be: "Get ready." The "G" in "get" indicates the first letter of Bush's first name.

3. Approach the vowels. For the vowels, you snap your fingers. Snap once for "A," twice for "E," three times for "I," four for "O," and five for "U." Using the same example name, you would say "Get ready," for letter "G," and snap your fingers twice for the letter "E." Continue giving clues for consonants and snaps for vowels until you finish the name or until someone guesses correctly.

4. Hand over the game to the first person who guesses correctly. She then thinks of a name and begins giving clues and snapping. The game continues in that manner until everyone gets a turn to lead the game.

Change Your Airsoft Gun Color

Airsoft gun

Airsoft guns are in most cases replications of modern, historical or antique firearms. The guns are typically produced in a finish such as flat black or silver which corresponds to the firearm being copied. Many airsoft gun owners decide to change the color of their guns. Camouflage patterns are one very popular paint pattern as this allows for individual expression as well as possibly providing a competitive edge during game play. Special spray paints are available which are specifically designed to bond with plastic materials.

Instructions

1. Unload the airsoft gun by removing plastic BB's from the firing chamber, removing any clips or magazines and releasing spring or air pressure from CO2 or green gas.

2. Determine the pattern, color or design to be used. Decide on the color of the paint to be used for painting.

3. Mask off areas which should not be painted. Use painters tape to completely cover any parts of the gun which should not have paint or paint over spray applied.

4. Shake a can of Krylon spray paint to thoroughly mix the paint inside. Hold the can 8 to 12 inches from the gun and use a side to side motion to apply the paint.

5. Allow the paint to dry thoroughly before use. Place the gun in a warm dry area for 3 to 4 hours to allow the paint to dry and cure.

Clever Molle Gear Ideas

MOLLE gear was designed for the U.S. armed forces.

The acronym MOLLE stands for Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment. MOLLE gear was designed for use by the U.S. armed forces to make the carrying of many heavy tools, weapons and equipment easier to organize and lighter to haul. MOLLE gear can now be purchased by the general public and is highly functional and efficient way to carry your belongings. If you have MOLLE gear at home, get the most use out of it by planning your adventures ahead of time. Does this Spark an idea?

Types

MOLLE gear comes in several types, all which serve different purposes. First is the traditional rucksack, which is similar to a backpack. The interior of the rucksack is stitched with water resistant webbing and multiple locking pouches for safe storage. Next is the MOLLE hydration bladder. The hydration bladder is typically used to hold up to two quarts of water when the user cannot predict the next time she will find a clean water source. Last is the modular pouch, which can be attached to any other MOLLE gear with webbing for extra storage space. Since the creation of MOLLE gear, more extensive equipment has been developed and is available for purchase by the public.

Play

If you want to have some role-playing fun with your MOLLE gear, get your friends together for a fake battle. Gather harmless play weapons, such as NERF guns, paintball guns, plastic grenades and other soft or lightweight pretend weapons. Separate your friends into two teams and spread out over a large, empty field. Store your weapons in the separate pockets of your MOLLE gear and use them to defeat the other team. Set your rules ahead of time, such as three hits by a weapon means the player must sit out until the next round. If you are using a paintball gun, make sure all players are wearing the necessary head, eye and body protection.

Camp

Your MOLLE gear is ideal for a camping or hiking adventure. Store everything you will need for two to three days in your MOLLE gear, including food, utensils, water, a lighter or matches, a single-person tent, a First Aid kit and even a portable burner for cooking. Whether you are setting off for a 10-hour hike or a two-day camping trip, MOLLE gear will provide a lightweight alternative for carrying your essential items.

Hydrate

If you have the MOLLE hydration bladder, you can always use it for more than water. When going out for a long day on the town, taking a long road trip or stopping by a B.Y.O.B party, fill your gear with the necessary beverage and drink from it all day long. The MOLLE hydration bladder is meant to store up to two quarts of liquid and keep that liquid hot or cold. Clean out the interior of the bladder with two to three cycles of a water flush after using it with other liquids.

Work

If you use tools at work or home, the MOLLE pouches are a perfect storage device. MOLLE pouches can hold both small and large items securely. Your tools and hardware can be stored separately for easy access and organization. Most importantly, these pouches can be attached to your clothing or your MOLLE rucksack.

Play "Delta Force Extreme"

Military strategy will go a long way toward completing all the missions in "Delta Force: Xtreme."

Novalogic's 2005 first-person shooter game "Delta Force: Xtreme" allows players to assume the identity of an Army Delta Force operative and tackle a number of dangerous missions based on real-life scenarios. The PC-only game also lets players play online co-op, so they can team up with friends. Players can also enter the battlefield and hunt each other down, death match style. In any case, keep these game play tips in mind when playing "Xtreme."

Instructions

1. Duck and cover. Enhanced enemy AI keeps the bad guys coming and, in realistic battlefield fashion, flanking to get the drop on your position. The best approach to handling being pinned down in a firefight is to find cover and use it to your advantage. Keep watch over your cover for the enemy to pop up; when the opportunity arises, exchange fire. While cover is important, move between cover to prevent getting stuck and having a grenade tossed your way, which you can't toss back.

2. Reload often and vary your weapon selection. With more than 60 levels of open and varied terrain, you'll have your choice of firepower and you'll encounter waves of enemies, but resist only going for the big guns. These type of weapons have longer reload times, which may leave you exposed. You have two weapons at your disposal: your primary and your secondary. Choose a mid-sized automatic rifle and keep your pistol as your secondary weapon.

3. Think like a soldier. You'll be leading in the mission, which is mostly concerned with assaulting enemy compounds. This requires equal amounts of stealth and guerilla warfare. Use your rifle scope to find patrolling guards on the perimeter and take them out silently with your knife. That will keep them from sounding the alarm and give you the upper hand in the initial stages of the attack.

4. Change position. In certain levels, improved AI means enemy snipers can get the bead on you quickly. By taking out targets from a safe distance and moving to another attack position, you'll leave the opposition scrambling. Repeat this method often to gain entry into the compound, where you'll be faced with close quarters combat.

Build A Pvc Paintball Gun

A paintball gun, also known as a "marker" gun, is designed to shoot a projectile that splatters paint upon hitting its target. You can make your own paintball gun--using PVC pipes and a few hardware and car repair parts--that will rival those made commercially. You also will need some experience in cutting PVC pipes, which means adult supervision for children. Once assembled, no target will be safe from your PVC paintball gun.

Instructions

1. Put newspaper down on a work surface. Mark the two PVC pipe Ts "A" and "B" with the black marker pen. Mark the two straight ends of the "A" PVC pipe T as "Ax" and "Ay." Mark the perpendicular end of the "A" PVC pipe T as Az."

2. Repeat this procedure with the other ("B") PVC pipe T, marking the two straight ends "Bx" and "By" and the perpendicular end "Bz."

3. Cut two foot-long pieces from the six-foot-long PVC pipe, using the plumber's saw.

4. Wrap plumber's tape around the ends of the two foot-long pieces of PVC pipe that were just cut.

5. Put one of the foot-long pieces of PVC pipe down on the newspaper horizontally.

6. Attach a PVC pipe elbow onto one end of one of the foot-long pieces of PVC pipe. Put the other PVC pipe elbow onto the other end of the foot-long piece of PVC pipe.

7. Twist the PVC pipe elbows so that they are both pointing downward. Apply primer around the seam of the PVC pipe elbows. Let the primer set for about four minutes. Apply bonding glue around the seam of the PVC pipe elbows. Let the bonding glue set for three hours.

8. Place the other foot-long piece of PVC pipe down on the newspaper horizontally. Attach the "Az" end of the "A" PVC pipe T to one end of the foot-long PVC pipe. Attach the "Bx" end of the PVC pipe T to the other end of the foot-long PVC pipe.

9. Rotate the two PVC pipe Ts so that the form a box-like shape. Apply primer around the seams of the PVC pipe tees. Let the primer set for four minutes. Apply bonding glue around the seams of the PVC pipe Ts. Let the bonding glue set for three hours.

10. Attach a PVC pipe nipple to the "B" PVC pipe T's "By" end. Apply bonding glue around the PVC pipe nipple where it meets the "By" end. Let the bonding glue set for three hours.

11. Screw the PVC pipe ball valve onto the PVC pipe nipple.

12. Screw the PVC pipe barrel to the PVC pipe ball valve.

13. Drill a hole in the PVC end cap with the portable drill by enough to let the tire replacement valve be inserted into it.

14. Insert the tire replacement valve into the hole in the PVC end cap. Apply bonding glue around the tire replacement valve where it meets the PVC end cap. Let the bonding glue set for three hours.

15. Cut a nine-inch length off of the six-foot PVC pipe with the plumber's saw. Attach one end of the nine-inch length of PVC pipe to the "Ay" end of the "A" PVC pipe T. Apply bonding glue around the nine-inch length of PVC pipe where it meets the "A" PVC pipe T. Let the bonding glue set for three hours.

16. Attach the PVC end cap onto the free end of the nine-inch length of PVC pipe. Apply bonding glue around the PVC end cap to secure it to the PVC pipe.

17.Leave the PVC paintball gun you have just made on the newspaper overnight so that the bonding glue can set completely.

Start A Paintballing Business

The increasing popularity of paintball for sport and for fun has opened a new business opportunity for entrepreneurs. However, this line of business is not isolated to the business-minded individual; people who simply enjoy paintball can also partake in the commerce of this growing activity. According to StyleCareer.com, paintball ranked number three in the top twelve extreme sports and had over 9 million participants in 2004. Like any business, several factors must be considered prior to undertaking such a venture. These generally include business location, prospective clientele, goals for the business and potential profits, to name a few.

Instructions

1. Formulate a business plan. Creating a business plan is imperative because it helps you, as the owner, identify your objectives in creating the business. It also gives potential investors a formal outline of your business goals, how the business will be run and how the goals will be attained. A business plan for a paintball business might include how your business will outperform the competition, why customers will find your business desirable and how profits will be attained relative to potential expenses (see Resources below).

2. Consider a location. Location is crucial for the sport of paintball because players must have ample space to play competitive paintball games. This usually consists of a large field with various props for players to hide behind or use as shields. The larger the field, the more potential games that can be played at a time, which can lead to more profits. However, increased space generally means increased expense, so consider this when examining a lease or real estate contract. It is also important to ensure that this land has or can get the appropriate zoning for a commercial paintball field.

3. Search for wholesale equipment. Paintball equipment is much less expensive when purchased in bulk. Many wholesale companies provide bulk discounts or charge less to business owners who will be frequent purchases. Equipment necessary includes face masks, paintball guns and paintballs. Some players may bring their own equipment; however, it is still necessary for any players who cannot provide their own gear (see Resources below).

4. Plan your profits. Prior to starting your paintball business, you must create a plan for charging customers. Paintball field owners often charge people a flat fee to play a certain number of games or have a specific amount of playing time. Other fees can be charged for equipment rental, the sale of T-shirts and other keepsakes, and even refreshments while at the field. A good way to establish prices is to investigate the costs of other paintball competitors in your area.

5. Maximize marketing. One of the essentials when starting a new paintball business is advertising. This might include flyers, coupons and even TV or radio advertising. Just ensure that each ad targets the correct population; dropping off paintball flyers at a retirement community may not be the best plan--an arcade, on the other hand, is a much better idea.

Make A Wooden Gun Case

A gun case is used to both store and display a sportsman or collector's guns. The gun case can be made with glass windowpanes, for display purposes, or solid wood, for safekeeping. You can also store additional hunting supplies or items related to your guns in your case.

Instructions

1. Use a carpenter's square and tape measure and power saw to cut four pieces of wood paneling that are 1 1/2 feet wide and 5 feet long. These pieces will be used as the case's sides and door. Cut two more pieces that are 1 foot wide and 3 feet long for the top and bottom of the case.

2. Screw the two short pieces and two of the large pieces together in a large rectangular frame; counter-sink the screws to make your project look a little neater. Use small nails to attach the thin paneling to one open side of the rectangular frame to create a box shape.

3. Create the gun case doors. Attach the two long pieces to the open side of the box with hinging fixtures so the doors swing open. Affix handles to the doors.

4. Nail a 2-by-2 inch piece of wood along the front edge of the bottom section of the gun case. This piece acts as a protective lip that keeps the guns from sliding out.

5. Affix the latch and lock fixtures according to the instructions that come with the fixtures. Use a drill to make a hole for the lock.

6. Sand over the entire surface of the gun case and wipe off excess dust with a wet rag. Cover the latch, hinges, handle and lock fixtures with masking tape, then paint or varnish the case.

Choose The Right Pistol

Choose the Right Pistol

When it comes to choosing a pistol, there are a number of factors you need to take into account. Will it be used for home defense or for concealed carry? Are you interested in using the pistol for hunting or would you like to use it to compete in sport shooting events? If you plan to use your pistol to compete in a specialty sport or competition, you'd do best to check into the specific regulations of that competition and also to see what the top shooters are using and then make your decisions based on that. If, however, you'd just like a handgun to defend yourself, whether at home or when you're out and about, there are a few factors you should consider before purchasing that first pistol.

Instructions

1. Determine your price range. Pistols vary widely in price, as you can pick up a decent quality small caliber pistol for under $200 or spend thousands of dollars for a specialty model or a collector's version. Beware of any too-cheaply priced "bargains" though. Anything offered to you at under $100 may well be stolen or at least be a cheaply made "Saturday Night Special" prone to jamming and misfiring and ultimately of more danger to you and your family than to any potential intruder.

2. Decide whether you'd prefer to purchase a revolver or a semi-automatic pistol. Revolvers, which feature rotating cylinders holding (usually) six rounds, are often recommended to beginning shooters as they can be easier to use, more accurate without the need for tweaking, and are more reliable as they contain fewer moving parts. They are preferred as home defense weapons as they can be stored loaded for extended periods of time, something that may weaken the springs on an automatic. Where automatics have it all over revolvers, however, is when it comes to concealed carry, as they are easier to conceal, usually hold greater numbers of rounds in their magazines (ten is typical), and can be reloaded much more quickly.

3. Choose whether you'd prefer a single action (SA) or a double action (DA) model. This applies to both revolvers and semi-automatics. If you are unfamiliar with firearms, the terms "single action" and "double action" can be a bit confusing, as they refer to the actions performed by the pistol and not the user. If you use a single action pistol, you, the user, will actually have to perform two separate actions, one to cock the hammer and another one to release it as you pull the trigger. A double action pistol will perform both actions with a single trigger pull, but may require a great deal of force for that pull. Most double action models can also be operated in single action mode, except for newer models which are double action only (DAO). The best thing to do before purchasing any pistol is to arrange to fire a few test rounds; this can often be done if you purchase from a firearms dealer that is attached to an indoor or outdoor firing range. Many such operations maintain a stock of rental pistols so you can experiment with more than one type of handgun.

4. Figure out the size of the pistol you'd like to purchase. A longer barrel may allow for greater accuracy and performance, but will be more difficult to conceal. If you are looking for a pistol to carry with you, take into account the method in which you'd like to carry it, such as a shoulder holster, a belt holster, an ankle holster? There are even a variety of purses, fanny packs, backpacks and briefcases that double as holsters. Be sure to choose a gun that you will be able to carry (or store) in whatever method you prefer.

5. Select an appropriate caliber. Larger calibers have greater stopping power, but may lead to greater amounts of recoil, thus making the pistol more difficult to fire, especially for someone unused to weapons. Again, it is best to spend a little time on a firing range experimenting with different types of weapons before determining which one works best for you. Even if you find you decide, for reasons of ease of use or budget, that a .22 is your best bet, you can certainly do enough damage with one of these to anyone who is close enough to do you harm.

Make A Gas Airsoft Gun

A homemade gun is often called an "airsoft" gun in deference to the replicas created by the Japanese, who aren't allowed to have gunpowder-based weapons. You can make a homemade airsoft-type gun that will use compressed air as a gas for firing the projectile. You will need hardware supplies and to rent or buy an air compressor. The gas-powered airsoft-type gun you will make will be more powerful than any spring- or electric-powered DIY (do-it-yourself) weapon that you could make.

Instructions

1. Put a sheet of newspaper on a work surface. Put on the work gloves. Put the five-gallon air compressor on the newspaper with the side where the valve assembly, gauge and hose on the left side facing you.

2. Unscrew the valve assembly, gauge and hose connected to the side of the five-gallon air compressor with the wrench. Separate the valve assembly, gauge and hose from each other, using the wrench.

3. Screw one end of the compressor pipe into the hole in the side of the five-gallon air compressor. Wrap Teflon tape around the pipe where it meets the hole.

4. Hold the T-joint with the open pipe in the middle facing to the left. Screw one end of the T-joint to the free end of the compressor pipe. Wrap Teflon tape around the end of the T-joint where it meets the compressor pipe.

5. Hold the elbow pipe with the hole at the top facing to the right. Screw the bottom of the elbow joint into the top of the T-joint. Wrap Teflon tape around the top of the T-joint where it meets the elbow pipe.

6. Screw one end of the straight pipe into the top end of the elbow pipe. Wrap Teflon tape around the straight pipe where it meets the elbow pipe.

7. Screw the small end of the adapter pipe onto the end of the straight pipe. Wrap Teflon tape around the end of the adapter pipe where it meets the straight pipe.

8. Screw the larger end of the valve pipe into the free end of the adapter pipe. Wrap Teflon tape around the end of the adapter pipe where it meets the larger end of the valve pipe.

9. Screw the free end of the valve pipe into the input socket of the valve assembly. Screw the gauge into the open hole in the T-joint.

10. Empty the soda can in the kitchen sink. Put a drop of dish-washing liquid in the soda can. Wash out the soda can with water from the kitchen sink. Let the soda can dry for at least a day.

11. Stand the soda can on the newspaper. Cut off the bottom rim of the soda can with the metal shears. Discard the bottom of the soda can.

12. Push one end of the PVC pipe three inches into the pop-top opening at the top of the soda can. Apply bonding glue around the pop-top opening to cement the PVC pipe. Let the bonding glue dry for 24 hours.

13. Apply bonding glue to the other end of the PVC pipe. Insert the PVC pipe into the exhaust hole on the valve assembly. Let the bonding glue set for 24 hours.

14. Apply bonding glue liberally around the end of the PVC pipe where it meets the exhaust hole of the valve assembly. Let the bonding glue set for 24 hours. Tighten all of the connections, using the wrench.

Start Paintball Camps In New York

Paintball

Operating a paintball camp is an enjoyable business experience. Think of your paintball camp as summer camp and war games combined. Youth develop leadership skills and learn interact as a team while having the time of their life. New York ideal for this type of environment, due to an abundance of wilderness and mountain settings. If you would like to start a paintball camp in New York, read this guide to learn how.

Instructions

Start Paintball Camps in New York

1. Draft a plan for your paintball camp. Although this is a camp, it is, at its core, a business. Identify how your camp will operate and how it will handle challenges that are common to the industry, particularly those that are specific to New York. The business plan should identify the New York county in which you will operate, and the surrounding counties in which you will advertise.

2. Find a location for your paintball business. An area measuring 10-20 wooded acres should be sufficient, although larger lots would certainly add value to the paintball experience. The Catskills mountain range or the Hudson River are ideal locations. Weigh your options and choose the location that is best for you.

3. Hire a company to build separate barracks-style cabins for each team the camp will host, plus one for the staff and referees. Build a chow hall or mess tent, along with any other accommodations you feel are necessary. Most rural areas in New York have various species of trees and types of stone that can be used to build these structures. This will help blend the camp into the natural surroundings.

4. Build multiple base camps for “capture the flag” games, as well as random battle emplacements and trenches for standard war games. Making log structures from trees that are native to your part of New York will help the camps blend into the environment.

5. Organize a camp schedule. Determine when your camp will run, how long it will last and what the daily routine will be during camp. Training normally takes place in the morning, and games in the afternoon. Remember considerations that are unique to New York, such as seasonal weather conditions, local wildlife and native insects.

6. Register your paintball camp as a business with the office of the County Clerk where your camp is located, or with the New York Secretary of State’s office. You may also require special permits locally, such as those for childcare. The childcare licensing will vary, depending upon local ordinances and statutes of the county your camp is located in. Contact the County Clerk’s office for additional information.

7. Hire an attorney to draft legal release forms that must be signed by both parents and children. The form should clarify that there is a risk of injury associated with paintball games, and that all parties will not hold the paintball camp financially accountable in such instances. Use forms that conform to New York state law.

8. Determine what equipment will be provided with the enrollment of the paintball camp. It is usually a good idea to provide basic equipment as part of the camp package. Give participants an opportunity to purchase more advanced equipment from the camp. If teams are to wear camouflage, consider the season and the type of foliage that is in the section of New York where your camp is located.

9. Advertise the opening of your paintball camp. Schools and youth facilities are a great way to recruit kids to go to your camp, as are newspapers and local radio stations. The core advertising should be in the county where your camp is, as well as surrounding counties.

Berber Carpet Cleaning Solution

Berber Carpet Cleaning Solution

Berber carpet retains moisture because its loops and weaves trap dirt and takes longer to dry than other carpets. It can't be thoroughly cleaned by vacuuming, and it shouldn't be wet over and over again during wet-extraction cleaning, according to theberbercarpet.com website. And manufacturers may recommend different cleaning solutions based on the type of fibers used in their Berber products. Does this Spark an idea?

Berber Carpet Fibers

Berber carpeting that is 100 percent wool or nylon is considered higher quality Berber carpeting--and more likely to keep looking good for years, even after repeated cleanings--than Berber made from other fibers or fiber combinations. This includes Berber made from less than 100 percent of the preferred Berber fibers wool and nylon, according to the website.

Cleaning Berber

According to rugdoctor.com, the preferred cleaning method for Berber is wet extraction. However, any carpet stains should be addressed at the time of the stain--not left to wait for entire room carpet cleaning. And since stains, dirt and spills can get trapped beneath the Berber's tight weave, carpet pretreatment (prior to limited wet extraction) helps limit the amount of wet extraction needed while working to remove dirt and oil.

Stain Removal Solution

According to the Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI), stains should be cleaned based on what caused the stain, if the stain cause is identifiable. The CRI's website provides consumers with immediate access to recommended solutions to use based on the stain type. These can include dry-cleaning fluid, nail polish remover, liquid dishwashing detergent and either vinegar or an ammonia solution.

But before treating any stain with the recommended solution, a pretest should take place in which the solution is applied to a small area of the stain first. This will determine if the solution could damage the fibers or the dye color of the Berber before the rest of the solution is applied.

Pretreatment and Cleaning Solutions

A high-traffic pretreatment solution is the next step in cleaning Berber carpet. Using this type of solution before the actual cleaning process will serve to loosen oil and dirt that have penetrated deep into the carpets fibers before wet extraction is performed, according to rugdoctor.com.

The solution used for pretreatment, as well as overall Berber carpet cleaning, should be based on the Berber carpet manufacturer's cleaning directions, since Berber can be made from different types of fibers--wool, nylon--as well as combinations of fibers (known as blends). Each of these fibers can respond differently to different types of cleaning solutions.

Significance

Wet extraction should be limited to one pass (one dispensing of the solution and hot water), due to Berber's ability to retain moisture. Limiting the amount of solution will help prevent mold and the destruction of the Berber. Several vacuuming passes should be made, thereafter, to assure the solution and moisture have been completely removed from the Berber, however.

If there isn't a party room on site, take them to your home or a local restaurant to eat and celebrate your son's birthday --- they're sure to have worked up an appetite after an afternoon of paintball.

Bowling

Throw your ninth-grade son a bowling party to celebrate his birthday. Work with your local bowling alley to plan the party; most of them have birthday party packages. Reserve as many lanes as necessary for the number of friends who RSVD'd yes to his party. Bring cake and snack foods for the kids to eat while they're bowling if refreshments aren't provided in the party package and outside food is allowed.

Camping

If your son enjoys camping, make this the theme of his birthday party. Gather a few of his closest male friends and take them on an overnight camping trip. Choose your favorite local spot to camp or, if you don't have anywhere near your home, use your back yard. Allow them to make s'mores over the fire, tell ghost stories and go hiking, and, if there's a lake nearby, they could even go fishing.

Repair A Co2 Cartridge Gun

Paintball guns rely on CO2 gas cartridges to activate the firing mechanism being used to expel paintball capsules from the barrel. Loose fittings inside a paintball gun will dilute the intensity of the burst of gas generated by the CO2 cartridge. To repair a paintball gun that is not firing at its full intensity, partially disassemble and replace the O-rings that seal the gun. The procedure is similar, with slight differences, for all paintball guns. A few common tools are needed, as are replacement O-rings acquired from a hobby store or a gun-supply shop.

Instructions

1. Remove the cartridge clip from the bottom of the CO2 cartridge paintball gun's handle. Place it aside. Cock the firing plate at the top of the gun towards the hammer and turn the gun upside down. Shake the gun to dislodge any stuck paintball capsules that might be in the firing chamber. Turn the gun right-side up and confirm there are no capsules in the chamber. Release the cocking plate. Squeeze the trigger to release the hammer that was pulled back when the cocking plate was engaged.

2. Place a sheet of newspaper on a table to protect the surface. Place the gun on the newspaper with the barrel facing to the left.

3. Remove the screws from the top edge of the gun, below the tip of the barrel and below the hammer, with a Phillips screwdriver. Remove the screw next to the trigger guard, if one is present, with the screwdriver.

4. Hold the gun so that the hammer is facing you. Remove the screw from the top edge of the gun, in front of the hammer with the screwdriver. If there is no screw, ignore this step.

5. Press the tip of the screwdriver against the locking pin that is on the right side of the gun, above the trigger guard. Grip the locking pin now that it is extruding from the hole in the left side of the gun with a needle-nose pliers. Pull the pin out of the gun and place it aside.

6. Slide the cocking plate towards the barrel of the gun and off the top. Place it aside. Place the gun on the newspaper with the barrel facing to the left. Remove any screws from the bottom left and right edges of the gun on the left side with the screwdriver. Pull the left plate off the gun.

7. Remove the screws from around the trigger-guard mechanism with a Phillips jeweler's screwdriver. Pull the trigger guard mechanism off the gun and place it aside.

8. Blow out the gun with bursts of compressed air. Run a gun cleaning rod through the barrel to dislodge any loose dirt. Blow out the barrel with a burst of compressed air.

9. Grip the O-ring that is next to and below the tip of the barrel with the jaws of the pliers. Tweezers can be used if you are concerned about damaging the O-ring. Pull the O-ring off the gun. Dispose of the O-ring.

10. Remove the O-ring from the well where the trigger guard mechanism was removed. Dispose of this O-ring also. Remove any other O-rings that can be seen inside the gun and dispose of them.

11. Place appropriately sized replacement O-rings in the gun; reverse the removal process of the original O-rings in order to seat the replacements properly. Blow out the gun with bursts of compressed air.

12. Unscrew the CO2 cartridge from inside the cartridge clip. Pull the O-ring off the nipple in the clip with the jaws of the pliers. Insert an appropriately sized replacement O-ring inside the clip and around the nipple. Seat the replacement O-ring so that it occupies the same position as the original O-ring did. Screw the CO2 cartridge back into the nipple.

13. Reverse the disassembly process to put the gun back together. Insert the magazine clip back into the bottom of the gun. Wipe the gun off with a clean soft cloth.

Make Blowguns Wth Office Supplies

Use office supplies to make a working blowgun.

Easy to make and use, blowguns are one of the oldest known projectile launching weapons. Most scholars believe that these air-powered armaments date to the Stone Age. Today, aficionados use high-tech blowguns for hunting and paintball tournaments. Practice your marksmanship with an inexpensive blowgun and rubber-tipped darts made from common office supplies.

Instructions

Blowgun

1. Cut a 20-oz. plastic soda bottle in half with scissors to make your blowgun's mouthpiece. Discard the bottom section of the bottle. Trim the remaining portion to fit comfortably around your mouth.

2. Stack two pieces of 8½-inch by 14-inch copy paper together for the barrel of your blowgun. Starting on a 14-inch side, roll the sheets into a tight tube. Grip the tube to keep it rolled tightly. Place one end of the tube into the small opening of your blowgun's mouthpiece. Release the tube to allow it to adjust its diameter to fit the mouthpiece. Place a small piece of clear tape along the seam of the paper tube and remove it from the mouthpiece. Secure the tube by covering the seam with clear tape. Repeat this process so you have two 14-inch long paper tubes.

3. Assemble the barrel by joining the two paper tubes together with clear tape. Wrap a sheet of 8½-inch by 14-inch copy paper around the barrel to cover the seam where the two 14-inch tubes connect. Secure the paper with clear tape.

4. Laminate the entire barrel of your blowgun with clear tape to eliminate any air leaks.

5. Hold the barrel perpendicular to the floor to attach the mouthpiece. With the wide end facing up, slip the mouthpiece onto the barrel. Loosely wrap a medium-sized rubber band ½-inch from the top end of the barrel. Gently pull the mouthpiece over the rubber band to form an airtight seal. Secure the mouthpiece to the barrel with clear tape.

Dart

6. Break off a straight, 1-inch section of wire from a paper clip.

7. Wrap one end of the wire section with a medium-sized rubber band.

8. Roll an 8½-inch by 11-inch copy paper into a cone. Place a piece of clear tape on the seam so the cone retains its shape. Trim 1/8 inch of paper from the point of the cone.

9. Hold the cone point down. Drop the rubber-band-wrapped wire into the cone, rubber-band side up. Pull the wire through the open point of the cone until 1/3 inch of wire is exposed. Wrap clear tape around the wire and cone point.

10. Hold your blowgun perpendicular to the floor. Place into the dart, tip side down, into the barrel of your blowgun. Trim away the excess paper and remove the dart from the gun.

11. Remove the eraser from a pencil. Stick the pointed wire end into the center of the eraser to add a rubber tip to your dart.

12. Place the dart, tip first, into the barrel through the mouthpiece end to use the blowgun. Aim the blowgun at your desired target and blow through the mouthpiece.
