The Uzi submachine gun is an example of a modern fully automatic firearm.
The operating action of modern automatic firearms can be divided into two broad classes: semiautomatic and fully automatic. Full-auto weapons include machine guns, submachine guns, assault rifles or PDW (personal defense weapons) such as the Uzi. Semiautomatic categories encompass a wide variety of civilian handguns, rifles and shotguns. Semiautomatic groups can be further broken down into single-action or double-action varieties. These classifications refer to the mechanical manner in which the firearm is cocked, fired and reloaded for the next shot.
Fully Automatic
Fully automatic weapons are legally available only to the military and law enforcement in most countries. They are capable of delivering hundreds of rounds per minute to a target. In a fully automatic weapon, the trigger is pulled once and held. The firearm will fire a round, eject the spent cartridge, chamber the next round, cock the hammer and fire the next round. This cycle of automatic firing, ejecting and chambering continues at a rapid pace as long as the trigger is depressed. The action is powered either by the recoil energy from each shot or by gases from the fired round, which drive a piston that operates the bolt, extractor, cocking and firing mechanisms. Ammunition is fed into an automatic weapon from a box or drum magazine or from a belt threaded into the receiver. The British Maxim gun, invented in 1884, is considered to be the first fully operational automatic weapon.
Semiautomatic
Semiautomatic weapons --- often known as auto-loaders --- require the operator to pull the trigger to fire each round. However, the automatic component of semiauto action ejects the spent cartridge and chambers the next round, eliminating manual cycling or pump-action between shots. The action is powered by the recoil energy from each shot or by expanding gases from the fired round, which drive a piston that operates the bolt, extractor and cocking mechanism. Most semiautomatic firearms will fire as fast as you can pull the trigger. Weapons with semiautomatic operation include rifles, shotguns and handguns.
Single-Action Semiautomatic
In a single-action semiautomatic firearm, the hammer is cocked for the first round by the loading process of pulling the slide or bolt back to chamber the round. Firing the first and each subsequent round requires only pulling the trigger. After each shot the hammer is automatically recocked by the action, and the operator is required only to pull the trigger to fire the weapon again. Because hammer cocking is performed by recoil or gas operation of the gun, single-action firearms have a much lighter trigger pull than double-action firearms.
Double-Action Semiautomatic
Double-action semiautomatics eject the cartridge after each shot and rechamber the next cartridge. However, the hammer or striker remains in the uncocked position. Cocking the hammer or striker and releasing it for each shot is part of the mechanical sequence of each trigger pull. Double-action operation usually results in a longer, heavier trigger pull than occurs with single-action semiautomatics. Semiautomatic firearms known as double-action/single-action (DA/SA) combine both actions.

Professional wrestling is a very difficult and expensive business to get into as a promoter. Start-up costs can include equipment, insurance, staffing and promotion that must be paid before any profit can be gained. It is also difficult, because casual wrestling fans generally ignore wrestling products that are not produced by World Wrestling Entertainment, the dominant wrestling company worldwide. Starting an independent promotion is possible, but the odds of taking a financial loss on your first few shows is very likely and care must be utilized budget-wise to keep your company in business.
Instructions
1. Write a business plan. A business plan is a document that maps out your short- and long-term goals for your company and how you plan on achieving those goals. Include your budget for your costs and what your realistic expectations are on how that money will be earned back.
2. Acquire investor funds to cover start-up costs. Unless you already have a source of capital ready, you will need to raise a minimum of $30,000 to $50,000 to put on your first show. Apply for small business loans and talk to investors about your business plan to try to generate excitement and enthusiasm for your product.
3. Choose a company name and file for a 'limited liability corporation' (LLC) status with your state. An LLC protects your personal assets in the event that your company gets sued and an LLC filing is vital to give your company legitimacy. Your state's website will have forms you can download for this purpose and you'll have a filing fee that could be as high as $800 when you apply, depending on your state. An attorney can be useful for this process and you need to choose a company name that is not already in use in the wrestling field.
4. Talk to multiple insurance companies to find the best rates for insurance for your shows. Insurance is a requirement under most state laws as well as any venue at which you plan on performing.
5. Find a building that will be appropriate for your first show. You'll likely need to show proof of insurance before the final contracts are signed. There are various venues that can be appropriate for pro wrestling, including gymnasiums, warehouses and even paintball venues. When examining the space, make sure you have enough space to accommodate a ring, seats for the fans and a backstage area for your talent and crew.
6. Book medical personnel for your show. It will probably be required by the building and by the insurance company and, more importantly, is important for the safety of your wrestlers. Professional wrestling is a dangerous activity with a high risk of injury, so you don't want to cut costs on your doctor that will take care of the talent when injuries occur.
7. Rent your equipment. You can buy a wrestling ring, lighting and video equipment but renting will probably be more cost-effective your first time out. A new wrestling ring can cost over $10,000 by itself. Talk to other wrestling promotions in the area and see if you can rent their ring. Inspect it before you pay for it, because some companies use very shoddy or unsafe rings. You'll also need lighting, depending on your venue, and video equipment, if you plan on taping your show. You'll need to transport the ring and equipment as well, so you'll probably need to rent a moving truck.
8. Book talent for your inaugural event. Talk to local independent wrestlers and consider signing a former WWE or TNA talent, if you have the funds to cover it. Some name recognition could help draw attention to your show, but be careful with your budget. You'll need to have a contracted agreement with each of your wrestlers, referees and crew members, and if you haven't utilized a lawyer yet, you should consider one for this process to look after your interests.
9. Advertise your show and include the names of any recognizable talent in your advertising once they are under contract. Always include the phrase "Card Subject to Change" in all advertising, because anything can happen in the wrestling business. Fliers are the cheapest method, but radio spots can be effective as well, if you have the money. Television is likely out of your budget to start with, but the Internet is a good place to post video spots.
10. Decide your match-ups once everyone is in the building and figure out who is winning and losing. The wrestlers will figure out the matches for the most part, but you have the final say on any storylines and who "goes over."
11. Book more shows and learn from any mistakes that occurred on the first one. It will take persistence to build up a base audience, so try to keep your operation within a small region to start with and then you can expand to new areas once you have a successful routine established.

The bushrag-style ghillie suit is designed to turn you into a portable bush!
The bushrag ghillie suit system adds jute and burlap strips in seven earth-toned colors to the standard ghillie suit. The bushrag system is a flexible one that adapts to a wide variety of terrain with a minimum of on-site adaptation. A bushrag ghillie suit makes you look like a pile of brush or bush. The system mimics the loose shaggy fur of a large animal and allows the wearer to move between hiding spots with maximum hiding power and minimum need to adapt the camouflage to the immediate terrain.
Instructions
Bushrag Camouflage Systems
1. Cut several hundred 2-foot-long jute strings and two hundred 1-inch-wide burlap strips. Sort the strings as you cut them into piles by color. A standard bushrag kit comes with strings and burlap strips in seven assorted earth-drab colors.
2. Fold each string or strip in half and loop it through the net. Tie the strings in the middle so that the two halves hang from the knot. Begin at the bottom of the suit and work your way to the top.
3. Tie a row at a time. Mix the order of colors as you work your way around the row. Mix rag strips in with the strings. Add each new layer so that it hangs over the layer below it.
4. Tie rows up the legs of the pants till you get to where the bushrag camo will hang from the jacket. Stop tying when you're high enough up the pants to be under the jacket. If you are using a one-piece jumpsuit-style ghillie, just keep on going all the way to the top. Tie more bushrag to the back than to the front to avoid overly restricting your ability to move. When the pants and jacket are completed, do the hood.
5. Lay the net attached to the hood out flat and begin tying strings and rags to the outside of the circle. Work your way around the outside edge. When you complete one row, move up to the next. Again intersperse different colors of string with strips of burlap. When the suit is complete, lay it and the hood flat on the ground.
6. Spray-paint stripes lightly over the outside of the suit using three or four earth-drab paint colors. Don't soak the strings and rags. Spray lightly so no crisp edges are apparent. Spray roughly in the same direction and avoid crisscrossing that may show up in bright light.
Paintball markers range from simple to very high tech.
When purchasing a paintball marker, it is important to compare the competition. There are many paintball markers that are available on the market, but they all differ in many ways. Although some paintball markers may be expensive and very high quality, that does not mean they are suited to your particular playing style or venue. Always keep in mind your playing style when you are comparing paintball markers. Also, consider making the purchase at a local paintball store. Paintball store employees tend to be extremely knowledgeable about the products they are selling.
Instructions
1. Consider the price you are willing to pay for a paintball marker. They range in price from under $100 to over $1,000. When shopping for a paintball marker, search only for ones that are within your price range.
2. Look at the specifications that are present on the paintball marker box or on the description on a website. Many paintball markers will have a listed rate of fire, or how quickly the paintball marker shoots. Rate of fire is an important characteristic for many paintball players.
3. Consider the materials the paintball marker is made of. Aluminum paintball markers tend to be lightweight but scratch easily while plastic ones feel cheap and may break more easily. The packaging or description for the paintball marker usually will list the material used to build the paintball marker.
4. Look on the box or on the description of the paintball marker to see whether or not it is electronic. Electronic paintball guns are more expensive, but will fire much faster. It is important to note that they require batteries, which adds to the overall cost of playing paintball.
5. Ask friends and the paintball store clerk about their opinions on the paintball markers you are considering. Although some paintball markers may have fancy looks and specifications, they are not necessarily good quality. High quality is just as important as high performance.

Wooden paintball forts are a great addition to your paintball field. These forts give you a place to take cover and provide a strategic advantage over your competition during a paintball game. While paintball forts can be massive, complicated structures, simple designs work just as well. A simple paintball fort can be created in less than an hour and can cost less than $50. When creating a fort, recruit the help of a friend to make positioning the materials easier.
Instructions
1. Choose a piece of land for your wooden paintball fort. The land under and around your fort should be flat and void of rocks and other large debris. A flat surface will be easier to build on and safer to play paintball on. Also make sure there are several sturdy trees in the area.
2. Place a sheet of plywood against two trees, making sure that the longest section of the wood is horizontal. Since plywood typically comes in 4-foot-by-8-foot sheets, try to pick trees that are spaced about 7 feet apart. Nail each end of the plywood to the trees using your nails and hammer. About five nails on each side will suffice.
3. Place another two sheets of plywood on the left and right side of your paintball fort and nail to the surrounding trees like you did with the first piece of plywood. This will create a square wooden fort that provides protection on three sides. It is best to leave the rear of the fort open so you can easily enter and exit the fort.
4. Drill several holes on all three sides of the fort using the drill with a 2-inch bit. This will create a place for the barrel of your paintball gun so you can shoot the opposing team without exposing your body. These holes can be anywhere on the boards, so choose locations that are comfortable to shoot through.

Decide what kind of HAND GUN to buy ,If you never owned a gun
You have never owned a gun & you want to buy one, decide what to buy ???
Instructions
1. Go to any gun store , look at what they have on display. Talk to the guys working there. If they are working in a gun store they most likely know a lot about all different kind of guns & can help you make an informed desision.
2. Tell him what you need the gun for , protection , sport shooting , target shooting ,hunting. Once he knows what your needs & reasons are you want a hand gun. He will be able to show you different kinds of guns that meet you needs & recommend a certain gun & the caliber you should buy.
3. Ask to hold the different kinds of guns. See how they feel in your hand.
4. There are only 2 basic styles of hand gun , AUTOMATICS & REVOLVERS
BUT in these 2 different styles of hand guns there are 100's of different styles, sizes & calibers.
Again ask the guy in the gun store to show you both kinds
5. Here is a AUTOMATIC , This is a 1911 automatic , .45 caliber, this is one of the most popular styles of automatic hand guns.
6. Here is a Revolver , this one is a Smith & Wesson model 19 , 357 magnum
7. Once you have decided basically what style of hand gun you want. Ask the guy at the gun store if there is a shooting range in the area that rents guns. You can go rent the style you like ( or something similar) & give it a try , most gun rental are around $20 to rent the gun & you will have to buy a box of ammo.
Shoot the gun & see how you like it.
8. Take a shooing safety class , some states require new gun owners to take a safety class before they can buy a gun. While in the safety class talk to the instructor & ask him the same questions you asked the guy in the gun store. Get all the info you can from as many people possible before you make a purchase.
9. Check your state & city gun laws. See if you can even own a hand gun in your area & is it legal for YOU to own a gun. If you have a criminal record , have a history of mental problems , have a restraining order against you , are under the age of 21 , These are just some of the reasons you will not be able to own a gun.
10. If & when you do buy a gun & you pass all the requirements of your state & city , ( LAWS are different in every state & some cities have their own laws) Go to the shooting range & practice A LOT. A gun is worthless if you can't hit what you are shooting at
Well good luck on buying your first hand gun

Oregon's Crater Lake is a caldera created by the collapse of a volcano 7,700 years ago. The lake and surrounding area is preserved as Crater Lake National Park. Visitors may hike, boat, drive, ski and snowshoe through the wilderness, but hazards exist.
Crater Lake in southern Oregon
Earthquakes
Faults run throughout the area which could cause damaging earthquakes, rockfalls and landslides. Such disruptions could cause waves and flooding in the lake and around.
Eruptions
Beneath Crater Lake lie hydrothermal vents; future volcanic activity is possible. Some have occurred on the lake floor. If these occur at shallow levels, it could cause explosions of rock and ash.
Thunderstorms
From June through the middle of September, storms bring thunder, lightening and high winds. Because of the high elevation, lightening strikes are likely, making the open water and exposed ridges unsafe.
Avalanches
Crater Lake National Park is a popular winter sports spot for skiers and snowshoers, but un-maintained snow conditions may cause avalanches. Check with rangers who monitor potentially dangerous areas.
Fun Fact
The Klamath Indians have long used Crater Lake as a site for spirit quests that sought out powerful and dangerous supernatural beings they believed resided in the lake.

Laser tag is one game among many that gets kids moving.
Action games are a good alternative to board games. They get kids up and running around and teach them about strategy. Kids love the adventure and the ability to pretend to be someone else. These games can last for hours, so it is best for children to begin playing them in the early afternoon. Otherwise, they may have to stop and continue with the game the following day.
Laser Tag
Laser tag uses a laser gun and a receiver dome. The receiver dome is worn in the middle of your chest. Whenever a player shoots his laser gun directly at it, it will go off. Depending on the type of equipment you have, you may be out after the first hit, third hit or fifth direct hit. Players must define their play area if they are not using a laser tag center. If anyone goes outside of the play area, he loses. Laser tag is a no-contact sports. The object is to connect the laser beam from the laser gun to the receiver dome. As soon as players are suited up, they have one minute to find a hiding place. They then seek out other players and eliminate them by shooting them with the laser gun. The last child standing wins.
Paintball
Paintball works much the same way as laser tag, but it is a little more painful. Children must have permission from their parents if they play at a paintball center. It also is possible to rent or buy the equipment to play in your backyard. Players must wear goggles and a helmet for safety. They also should wear several layers of clothing as the paintballs can hurt when they hit you. Players must find places to hide when the game begins. They hunt out other players by shooting them with a paintball gun. Players must keep a constant eye out because other players will be hunting them at the same time. The player who is hit the least wins.
Capture the Flag
Capture the flag is an action game that can be played with minimal equipment. All you need are two flags, one for each team. Children need to contact their friends to arrange a time to play because the game needs more than six players. The teams decide whose yard to play in and determine the boundaries for each side. There should be a middle line where the teams will meet once they hide their flags. The teams assign members to guard the flag, members to scout for the other team's flag and some floaters who will help out as needed. Once both teams are ready, the game begins. The first team to capture the opposite team's flag and bring it over to its side of the border wins.

States have laws regulating the length of gun barrels hunters can use.
Whether people are shooting handguns, muzzleloaders, rifles or shotguns, they often want to know the length of the gun barrel. There are a variety of reasons for this. Competitive shooters risk disqualification if their gun barrel is not the proper length. Many states regulate the size of guns hunters can use. Hunters caught using illegally sized barrels could find themselves in trouble with the law. People who need to measure the length of the barrel of their gun can do so in a short period of time.
Instructions
1. Unload the weapon. If you believe it is already unloaded, double check to make sure there is no ammunition in the chamber or magazine.
2. Cock the weapon as if you were going to fire a live round.
3. Insert a wooden rod into the end of the barrel. Dowels that are slightly smaller in width than the opening of the barrel work well.
4. Push the rod into the barrel until it cannot be pushed any further. Use the pen to mark the spot where the wooden rod comes out of the gun barrel.
5. Measure from the spot you marked to the end of that part of the rod that was inside the gun barrel. The number is the length of the barrel.
Airsoft makes simulations of combat weapons that fire 6mm plastic BBs. One of the most popular models is the Airsoft spring gun. The SM8 is the spring version of the XM8 assault rifle which requires manual cocking before each shot.
Instructions
1. Load BB's into the SM8 magazine by placing them on top of the magazine's spring and pushing down. The BBs will stay locked inside the magazine if loaded correctly.
2. Insert the magazine into the rifle's receiver. Make certain it is properly locked in place. This is usually indicated by a clicking sound when inserted into the gun.
3. Pull back the lever on top of the rifle barrel--the lever is also referred to as a charging handle--and then release it to cock the weapon. It will return to its original position on its own, since the mechanism is spring-loaded.
4. Turn the safety switch on the side of the weapon to the "Fire" position.
5. Line up your shot and pull the trigger to fire the round.
No matter what kind of party you're planning, renting a venue presents an attractive solution for hosts of all ages. Holding the party at a venue instead of your home will provide more space, enable you to invite more guests and end any concerns of personal property damage, guests staying too late and possible disturbances to neighbors. Follow a few simple steps to rent a party venue, and make your event even better for both you and your guests. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
1. Plan in advance. Many popular party venues fill up several months, if not years, ahead of time. However, unless you are looking at a popular wedding hall, several months should suffice. As soon as you conceive the party, start looking for suitable locations.
2. Establish a budget and guest list. Count exactly how many you want to invite so you know the venue size you need. Consider, as well, whether or not guests will sit or stand, and what other equipment (such as a stage, dance floor or dinner tables) you will need. Once you've made your guest list, consider a comfortable price range.
3. Call local venues. If you cannot think of any in particular, consider institutions such as museums, galleries, hotels, churches and music venues, depending on what kind of event you are throwing. Many of these establishments have large amounts of space they rent for parties. Find out which venues are available on the date of your party, and which fit your budget.
4. Gather recommendations. Check with the hosts of successful parties you've attended and see how pleased they were with the space they rented. While you may have enjoyed the party, their negotiations with management may not have been pleasant. Also, find out where your company holds large events and check pricing. You may be able to get a discount if your company has been a good client.
5. Reserve your venue. You may have to pay a deposit and sign a contract; however, this will reserve the room. You are now free to focus on the party itself.

Paint ball paint is similar to crayons---it is composed of a gelatin-like base with emulsifier and dye. While it may look worse than it really is, getting paint ball paint off of a surface can be relatively easy with some very simple tools. Keep in mind that the surface should be cleaned as soon as possible to avoid having the paint set in and damage the surface. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
1. Locate the paint ball spot as soon as you can after it has become wet. It is best to try and clean it as soon as you can to avoid damage to the surface. The longer it is left there, the more dye will seep into the surface and possibly stain it. If the spot is still wet, try wiping as much of it up with a paper towel as possible before it dries.
2. Clean the surface with warm soapy water. Be sure to clean off any dirt and dust that has accumulated on the paint ball spot. The paint from the paint ball will allow dirt and dust to easily stick to the surface, which if left intact can leave scratches on the surface as you remove the paint.
3. Spray a small amount of WD-40 on a microfiber sponge. Clean the paint ball area with the microfiber sponge/WD-40, going in a circular motion.
4. Wipe the area clean again with warm soapy water, and again with a dry cloth.
5. In addition, if you are trying to remove paint ball paint off of a car, spray a small amount of car polish and detailing spray (such as Turtle Wax, Armor All and Mothers) onto another microfiber sponge. The polish/spray will clean the car of any waxy, sticky residue without damaging the car's finish. Clean the area, again going in small circular motions. The Invert Mini is a high-end pneumatic paint ball gun (sometimes known as a paintball electronic marker) known for its light weight, accuracy, and the latest in technological advances in the paintball business. The Mini is meticulously made from aircraft quality aluminum to endure the requirements of the most demanding users. The marker should be cleaned and lubricated after each use to insure it is operating at its maximum efficiency.
Instructions
1. Turn the mini off by pressing the power button until the LED changes from red to green. Place the barrel locking device at the end of the barrel to prevent unwanted discharges.
2. Remove the compressed air cartridge. (Invert recommends consulting your dealer or a competent airsmith for education on the installation of the air cylinders to your marker.)
3. Unload any unused paint balls from the marker by turning the loader in a clockwise direction to remove it. Inspect the inside of the loader and the barrel and remove and discard any unused paint balls.
4. Remove the bolt and guide assembly by turning out the holding screw (located on the rear grip) counterclockwise with a Philips screwdriver. Use a clean rag and wipe any dirt or grease from the assembly. Lubricate all O rings with Dow 33 grease (recommended by Invert).
5. Unscrew the barrel in a counter-clockwise direction and remove it to clean any excess paint buildup on the inside of the barrel. Wash the barrel in warm soapy water. Rinse the barrel in clean water. Allow the barrel to air dry and screw it back to the marker in a clockwise direction.
6. Replace the bolt and guide assembly by twisting the holding screw back in a clockwise direction with a Philips screwdriver. Carefully replace the compressed air cartridge.

"Nerf" brand guns are harmless toys since they "fire" safe, foam darts as opposed to hard projectiles. You can modify (or "mod," as it is more commonly called) a 10-shot Nerf Raider CS-35 gun so that it will fire the darts farther. A few tools commonly found around the house are all that will be needed. Adult supervision is mandatory if a child is involved in the "mod" because a power drill must be used.
Instructions
1. Place the Nerf-brand Raider CS-35 gun on a table with the barrel pointing to the left. Remove the three screws from the handle with the Phillips screwdriver. Remove the screws from just beneath the tip of the barrel at the front, above the hammer at the back and to the right of the trigger guard with the Phillips screwdriver. Pull the brown-colored tube out from the back of the gun with your fingers.
2. Remove the eight remaining exposed screws from the gun -- there will be a total of 14 screws in all. Place the screws in a paper cup to keep them safe until reassembly time.
3. Remove the cover plate from the gun and set it aside. Grip the end of the spring that is on the orange-colored tube at the top edge of the gun. Pull the spring off the tube and out of the gun. Pull the plastic clamp at the end of the tube off with your fingers. Pull the plunger out from inside the tube. Remove the plastic tube and the attached metal rod from the gun.
4. Remove the plastic guide rail that is covering the white tab. Pull the white tab out of the rifle. Press down on the bottom of the tab until it is forced towards the other end. Return the tab to its original position on the gun.
5. Hold the plastic tube by one end. Insert the rotating drill bit of the power drill into the hole at one end of the tube. Rotate the drill bit around the inside of the hole to drill out the size of the hole. Repeat this procedure at the other end of the plastic tube. Blow out both ends of the plastic tube with bursts of compressed air.
6. Locate the small hole in the side of the tube. Cover the hole with a strip of duct tape. Grip the spring from both ends and pull it outward. Hold the stretched spring for 20 seconds before releasing it. Wrap a strip of duct tape around the back end of the plunger.
7. Reverse the disassembly process to return the tube, plunger and spring to the gun. Place the cover back on and reattach the screws.
A hard hat is one important piece of safety equipment.
Identifying hazards in the workplace helps both workers and management know the types of safety equipment that are required. Different environments require different equipment, and a variety of levels for each type of protection exist -- also determined by the type of hazard. If workers are not using the proper safety equipment, health and legal problems can occur. Requirements for safety equipment are set forth by the U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety & Health Administration. Does this Spark an idea?
Safety Glasses
Safety glasses are used as eye protection in construction zones and laboratories to protect the wearer's eyes from flying debris, chemicals, radiation and harmful light rays. Safety glasses are typically made of plastic as it is shatter-proof, lightweight and can be coated to block specific light waves. The glasses not only have front lenses but also feature side shields to protect the eyes from all angles. Safety glasses are available as sunglasses for work outside during the day and as prescriptive glasses.
Ear Protection
Exposure to loud noises over both short and long periods can cause ear damage and hearing problems. Ear protection reduces the amount of noise that travels into the ear, and the amount of protection and noise reduction required depends on the amount of noise in the work environment. Ear protection comes in the form of earmuffs or earplugs. Earmuffs look somewhat like headphones and are made of foam-filled cushions, while earplugs sit inside the ear to provide noise reduction.
Head Protection
Head protection, typically in the form of a hard hat or a safety helmet, is required in construction zones. Hard hats are made specifically for industrial applications, while others are made for more general purposes. Situations in which items can fall from above will require a hard hat. Depending on the application or environment, a hard hat also requires a face-shield visor, which protects both the head and the face. Special makes of visors and helmets are made specifically for individuals to use in welding and grinding applications.
Respirator
A number of items are considered respirator safety equipment. Dust masks are not actually breathing apparatus but protect the wearer from inhaling any large particles. Face masks, dust respirators, particulate masks, disposable respirators and n95 masks are all used to protect the individual's lungs from substances in the work environment. Dust can be an irritant, and some industries use airborne chemicals that are extremely hazardous or an irritant if inhaled.

Professional paintballers typically draw their salaries from team sponsors.
Although it may never make you as rich as a professional star in other sports, competing in professional paintball competitions can actually bring a modest income to the most experienced players. The most accomplished players can earn paintball salaries that approach $100,000 per year. Earning a living as a professional paintballer requires the ability to find team sponsorship, as well as successful placement in various professional tournaments.
How Paintball Players are Paid
Paintball players who are signed by a professional paintball squad are typically paid by the team's corporate sponsors, primarily paintball equipment suppliers and related businesses. Sponsors also typically pay for travel expenses and other costs related to playing in professional matches. Paintball teams competing in the top professional leagues will often have five or more main corporate sponsors. Cash prizes for top performing teams in both professional leagues and tournaments are distributed among team members, adding to a paintball player's salary.
Salaries
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), American athletes and sports competitors, including professional paintball players, earned a median salary of $43,740 per year as of May 2010. This is more typical of professional paintball earnings than the average salary for athletes - $87,340 per year in 2010 - as professional salaries for football, baseball and other more popular sports are much higher than salaries for paintball and other lesser known sports. Oliver Lang received the highest recorded salary for a professional paintball player in 2005, $100,000 per year from the Los Angeles Ironmen.
Professional Leagues
In the United States, the main professional paintball league is the National Professional Paintball League, or NPPL. Within this league, there are four different divisional levels of seven-player teams and two five-player team divisions, one of which uses pump paintball equipment instead of automatic carbon dioxide-powered guns. The NPPL's top seven-player division contains 16 teams. The other main professional paintball organization in North America is Paintball Sports Promotions, also known as PSP Events, which coordinates most of the nation's top paintball tournaments, including the annual World Cup event.
Other Income
Many paintball teams are self-directed, with minor oversight from sponsors, so professional players need to work hard to find income opportunities to supplement their base salary. Professional paintball tournaments often offer thousands of dollars worth of prizes to tournament champions, but cash prizes are split up among all team members. Sometimes tournaments award equipment prizes instead of cash awards. Typically, a professional player will play six times a month and compete in 15 or more tournaments per year. Many professional players eventually use their paintball knowledge to open a related business, such as a retail paintball equipment store, to improve their income prospects.

Almost all paintball guns require a CO2 tank to operate.
The recreational sport of paintball involves two teams getting into a paintball "war" using the many different types of paintball handguns, rifles, and cannons available on the market today. Although there are different models of paintball guns, they all use the same type of fuel to propel the paintballs -- carbon dioxide -- commonly referred to as CO2. Read this information to learn properly screw in your CO2 tank into your paintball gun.
Instructions
1. Purchase a CO2 tank for your paintball gun. There are 3 different sizes you can buy: the 9 oz, 12 oz, and 20 oz tank. What size you want depends on your needs; if you have a big paintball rifle, you may want to consider getting a bigger tank.
2. Locate the CO2 port on the paintball gun. This port is located usually directly below the stock of the gun, near the hand grip.
3. Check the O-ring of the CO2 tank, which is the plastic ring located right below the threads of the tank. Check to make sure that this ring is not cracked, warped, or damaged in any way, as this can cause CO2 leakage during use.
4. Match the threads of the CO2 tank and the CO2 port and screw the tank into the paintball gun in a clockwise fashion. While doing so, keep the tank as centered to the port as possible; this reduces the chance of thread-stripping, which could cause gun issues later on.
5. Tighten the tank until it is hand-tight. Place your ear up to the seal between the tank and the gun, and listen for CO2 leaks. If you hear none, load your gun, and try shooting it.

The Spyder Xtra is a paintball gun that can be used for recreational paintball sports. Paintball guns shoot small balls of paint, which break on impact. Players struck with paintballs are out of the game. The Spyder Xtra is a high-velocity paintball gun, with a speed of 300 feet per second. Using the Spyder Xtra requires placing it into safety, understanding load the gun and understanding fire and aim it. Never play paintball or shoot anybody with a paintball gun unless proper safety materials are being worn.
Instructions
1. Put your gun into "safe" mode and place your barrel plug or sock on your gun before beginning. This will help avoid an accidental shooting.
2. Open the Co2 holding area on the bottom of the gun handle. Place your Co2 air tank into the adapter and screw it into place clockwise. Replace the cover once your cartridge fits snugly into the adapter.
3. Fill your paintball loader with paintballs. Use only 0.68 caliber paintballs. Place your paintball loader into the slot underneath the barrel. This will point downward, parallel to your handle.
4. Attach the elbow pipe to the paintball loader and the Co2 holding area. Pull back the cocking knob on the side of the gun. This gets your gun ready to shoot. Remove the barrel sock or plug before shooting.
5. Take your gun out of safety mode and pull the trigger to fire. Use the sites on top of the gun to aim your shot at an opponent or target. Pull the trigger each time you want to take a shot. Shoot until you have emptied the gun.
6. Place your gun into safety mode and place the plug or sock into the barrel. Unscrew the elbow piping. Remove the paintball loader and place paintballs in the loader. Screw everything back into place and twist it into place. Take your gun out of safety to shoot again.

If you want to impress your friends with the power of science, get into the workshop and make a coilgun. All you need are some electrical supplies to create this super-cool, high-tech weapon. So head on over to your local electronics store and get ready to wow your friends.
Instructions
1. Make the body of the gun. Wrap copper wire around the openings of a PVC pipe. You must create a wide coil, so wrap it around a few hundred times on each end. Leave the two ends of the wire exposed to work on in a later step.
2. Cut the barrel of the gun to make the PVC pipe about 6-inches thick.
3. Create a ring out of steel wire to put inside the gun. It should be slightly smaller than the PVC pipe itself, so that it fits snugly inside the barrel of the gun. You can twist the steel wire with pliers and then clip the ends to create a circle.
4. Take apart the disposable camera. Remove the flash circuit to use in your gun. Find the capacitor, which is the largest implement in the camera. Attach the copper wire to the both ends of the capacitor, and then attach it to the coil wires of your barrel. This leaves you with two free wires that you'll deal with later.
5. Construct the body of the gun. You can use wood, metal or cardboard to create the hand piece of the gun if you desire.
6. Try it out. Connect one of the coil wires to a 9V battery, and then load the steel ring into the barrel of the gun. Connect the other two loose ends of the coil wire to complete the circuit. The steel ring should shoot across the room.
Scenario paintball is an outdoor activity that can be a highly entertaining way to spend a day, as well as a great source of cardiovascular exercise. Starting your own scenario paintball team, either with friends or fellow players from your area, enables you take part in leagues or tournaments.
Instructions
1. Research local paintball fields that offer scenario paintball, either as single-play or league options.
2. Learn the rules associated with the field you will be playing at--and study the field, if possible--to avoid any mistakes and to help plan strategy.
3. Hold tryouts if you will be attempting to field your team based solely on talent, not just on playing with friends. Tryouts can take place at a field with in-field observation, or in any area where you can test players' shooting and other practical skills, such as ability to use cover and speed.
4. Practice with your team before entering into league matches to ensure your team functions as a single unit.
5. Enter every match with a concrete strategy, though one that can be adapted on the fly to counter opposing moves. Your strategy should be based on using your teammates' strengths, and covering their weaknesses.
Paintball is one of the fastest-growing sports today. For new players, deciding what equipment to buy can be a complicated task. Aside from choosing which paintball gun to buy, choosing a tank is probably the next hardest decision. Paintball guns use either CO2 or nitrogen to propel the balls through the air. The tanks that contain CO2 or nitrogen can be complicated and vary in type, price, size, weight, quality and style. Follow these steps to pick the tank best-suited for your needs.
Instructions
1. Determine if the tank you're buying is compatible with the paintball gun that you own or plan to purchase. Some paintball markers only run off of CO2, some only use nitrogen and some use both. If your gun isn't compatible with both, you needn't worry about Steps 4 and 5 below because they deal with choose the right type of tank when you have a gun that can use either.
2. Decide how much you are willing to pay for a paintball tank. CO2 tanks are significantly cheaper than nitrogen tanks and range from approximately 15 to $30, depending on the size. Nitrogen tanks can vary in price from $70 to $500, but the cost mainly depends on what the tank is made of; carbon tanks are the most expensive.
3. Choose the size and weight you want your tank to have. If mobility is important, you will want to buy a smaller, lighter tank. If you have enough money to purchase a carbon nitrogen tank, these are by far the lightest. If your main priority is being able to fire off as many shots as possible before you have to refill your tank, a larger tank of either type will probably suit you best.
4. Consider how much you plan on playing. Nitrogen tanks will cost much more initially, but they are cheaper to refill. You can even refill them yourself with a scuba tank , whereas you have to go to a fill station and pay about 30 cents per ounce to refill a C02 tank. If you plan on playing tons of paintball, investing in a nitrogen tank will save you money in the long run.
5. Decide whether or not velocity spikes during rapid firing is going to be an issue. Many guns are capable of shooting balls over 10 times per second, and CO2 tends to shoot balls at different velocities when they are fired at that rate. However, if you invest in a nitrogen tank the balls should always come out at a stable velocity. This reduces the amount of chopped balls (balls broken in the gun) and increases accuracy.

The velocity of a paintball marker determines how far the paintball will shoot from the gun. It also determines the accuracy of the shot. It is important to have a clean gun in order to have consistent velocity. Too much velocity or too little can cause paint breakage inside the gun.
Instructions
1. Adjust the velocity of a paintball marker by adjusting the gun itself. On most guns, there's normally a screw adjustment on the side of the gun that adjusts the velocity. If you turn the screw in a clockwise direction, it restricts the gas flow through the gun, which slows the ball down. If you turn it counter-clockwise, it increases the flow of the gas and speeds up the paintball.
2. Check out another way in which to adjust velocity. Some paintball guns have adjustable bolts that regulate the gases. There are different types of bolts with different air-flow restrictions. The best way is to try several different bolts to see which works best for your particular gun.
3. Use a regulator to adjust the velocity of the paintball marker. These regulators screw directly into the gun. This allows you to adjust velocity easily and quickly.
4. Look at your paintball marker. Some tanks come with regulators already attached. These have gauges that tell you how much pressure is being put into your gun. You can adjust these regulators directly on the tank. These tanks with regulators have set screws so that you cannot adjust the regulator while playing paintball. Therefore, all adjustments must be made before and after the contest.
Removing a Viridian laser sight from a Glock is very easy to do.
Using laser sights on handguns allows a much higher likelihood of hitting the target where you're aiming. Traditionally, police officers or handgun owners will install a red light laser sight on handguns like Glocks under the barrel and in front of the trigger guard. The problem with a red laser is that it's very hard to see in most daylight conditions, according to Veridian, which sells a green laser sight they say is much easier to see in almost all light conditions. The lasers fits most models of Glock handguns.
Instructions
Remove Laser Sight
1. Turn mounting screw counter-clockwise using the wrench or coin until removed from laser sight. If laser sight rail set uses two mounting screws, remove second screw the same way as the first screw.
2. Store mounting screw in secure place.
3. Slide Veridian laser sight forward and away from trigger guard.

Some companies manufacture and distribute their own products, some companies manufacture under contract the goods that other companies design and distribute, and some companies do both. Regardless of your business model, establishing a manufacturing company requires careful planning and risk management because of the potential for worker injuries, toxic materials spills and product defects.
Instructions
Plan Your Business
1. Research in detail the products you intend to manufacture so you will know as much as possible about the raw materials, specialized or hazardous materials, manufacturing processes and the vendors you'll be dealing with.
2. Research in detail the equipment you will need so you will know as much as possible about purchase price, cost of maintenance, the pros and cons of different models of machinery, installation requirements and which vendors will be the most helpful.
3. Make sure you know the zoning laws where you intend to locate your business, and develop a good relationship with your local planning commission so you will know whom to call with questions or problems before you make a costly mistake.
4. Write your business plan, fully describing what you intend to manufacture and how you will market your services or products, and include any information you have about hazardous materials requirements. Forecast your start-up costs, operating costs and expected revenues.
5. After you know your electrical requirements, zoning requirements for the use and storage of certain materials, building structure requirements and anything else that may affect your choice of location for your manufacturing facility, you are ready to begin working with leasing agents to find a building.

Camp Huawni
Camp Huawni, a co-ed overnight camp, is situated in the midst of eastern Texas forests, enabling campers to experience all that nature has to offer. Most camp activities take place outside, and include hiking, para-sailing, lounging by the pool and canoeing. For daily activities, campers are divided by age group; campers typically participate in six activities per day. In addition, there are several times in which the entire camp comes together for an activity.

PVC cutting tool used to make clean, even cuts on PVC pipe
Air guns made from polyvinyl chloride (PVC) use pressurized air to shoot a projectile such as a miniature marshmallow, potato or marble a long distance. Some people even use homemade air guns as paintball guns. Many ways are available to increase an air gun's shooting distance. The more pressure your gun holds, the farther the projectile will travel. You also can customize your gun to shoot bigger objects by using a larger barrel, but that will lower the distance the objects travel.
Instructions
1. Cut the PVC pipe. First, cut the 1-inch diameter PVC pipe into two 5-inch pieces and three 2-inch pieces for the chamber area of the air gun. For the barrel, cut one piece 6 inches long. Also, cut the ½-inch diameter PVC pipe to a 4-inch length. Start by measuring the PVC pipe and marking the distance for each cut with a pencil. Use a ratchet-style PVC cutter, which is available at most hardware stores, to cut the lengths by squeezing the cutter around the pipe at the marked location. While squeezing the handle, turn the PVC pipe cutter in a circle around the pipe to make your cut.
2. Rub the ends of the PVC pipe with rough sandpaper. This will remove rough edges and burrs.
3. Drill the PVC end caps and set screw hole. Drill a ½-inch hole in the center of both of the 1-inch PVC end caps and 2 inches from one of the ends of the 6-inch PVC pipe. Use a titanium drill bit made for general purpose drilling; they are available at home improvement stores. Hold the items securely, preferably with a vise, while drilling to avoid harming yourself or damaging your PVC. Drill with a slow, constant speed and even pressure.
4. Rub rough sandpaper over the hole to remove burrs and rough edges.
5. Insert the barrel stop. Screw a 1-inch screw into the hole of the 6-inch pipe. The screw should be large enough to touch the bottom of the inside pipe wall but should not go through the other side of the pipe. The screw needs to be at least ½ inch in diameter and fit snugly into the hole to reduce air loss. Apply a small amount of plumber goop around the top of the screw to help reduce air loss, and allow the glue to dry.
6. Attach the bike valve stem. Begin by applying a large amount of plumber goop to the hole in the first end cap. Push the bike valve stem through the hole in the end cap, leaving the rubber seal on the inside of the end cap; this will help create a seal for the air chamber. These stems can be found in most department stores and sports shops.
7. Connect the barrel. Apply plumber goop to the hole in the remaining end cap, and press the end cap onto the 6-inch PVC pipe. Then press the ½-inch diameter PVC pipe into the hole in the center of the PVC pipe; this should be a snug fit. Continue pressing the smaller pipe into the end cap until it touches the screw stop. Allow the glue to dry.
8. Arrange the pieces. Lay the PVC pieces on a flat surface to prepare them for primer and gluing. Do not connect the pieces yet. Starting on the left and working toward the right, lay the end cap with the valve on your work area followed by the 1-inch coupler. Next should be the 1-inch T-shaped PVC piece followed by a 5-inch pipe piece and finally the 90-degree PVC angle.
To create the center of the air gun, place one 2-inch pipe piece above the T and the other above the 90-degree angle.
From the pipe on the left you will work from the right side and move toward the left, adding the last 90-degree angle and the 5-inch pipe piece. Next, place the T on in line to the left of the pipe and above the 2-inch piece of pipe. Off the T, place the last 2-inch pipe piece. Screw the 1-inch-by-¾-inch PVC reducers into the ball valve connection, and place it on the work area after the last 2-inch pipe. Finally, place the barrel fixture on the table with the smaller pipe facing toward the left.
9. Prime the PVC pipe. Prime the PVC anywhere the pipes will touch another piece of pipe by rubbing the primer's cotton-tipped applicator on those areas. Return the pipe to its original location on the work surface when done. Allow the primer to set according to the package directions. The primer helps soften and clean the surface to prepare the pipe for glue.
10. Glue the PVC pipe together. Apply PVC cement to the first pipe connection, where the first piece touches the second piece of pipe. Repeat on the second piece. Connect the two pipe pieces together by pushing them until you feel the pipes touch. Watch the position of the pipes to ensure they will lay flat when you are done. Repeat for each connection. Allow the cement to dry completely. Glue only one connection (two pieces of pipe) at a time.
11. Pressurize the air chamber. Close the ball valve by turning the knob to the closed position. This ensures the air will stay inside the air gun. Attach the hand air pump to the bike valve on the pressure chamber of the air gun. Pump the hand air pump several times to pressurize the air chamber. Remove the pump when done.
12. Operate the air gun. Load the air gun with a miniature marshmallow. Tip the air gun back to allow the marshmallow to roll into its barrel; the screw will keep it from going into the air chamber. Aim the air gun in a safe direction. Turn the ball valve to release the pressurized air and launch the marshmallow.
