Buy Paintball Guns

Paintball Team

Many people who start playing paintball games rent their equipment. But as they gain more experience and find themselves playing more frequently, they decide it’s time to buy their own equipment. Not only can owning a paintball gun be less expensive than renting in the long run, there’s the added prestige of ownership. Learn the differences between paintball guns and then buy one.

Instructions

1. Decide on a price range. The amount of money available for a paintball gun purchase will narrow down the choices of a paintball gun. The best paintball guns, also called markers, can cost hundreds of dollars. Saving for a paintball gun purchase later can be justified because a better paintball gun will last longer and have reduced repair costs.

2. Look at the paintball guns available in your price range and narrow down your choices. It’s better to visit an actual store instead of just looking online. The weight and feel of a paintball gun play important roles in how satisfied you’ll be with your purchase. You also want a paintball gun that is visually appealing to you. If you play in woodland areas, a camouflaged paintball gun can be helpful. People have different tastes, and find what works for you by comparing models.

3. Compare specifications of the remaining paintball guns on your list. For some paintball games, rate of fire is important. For some paintball guns, the rate of fire can be adjusted. This can be important for players who tend to run out of ammunition too quickly. Also, it’s better to have a paintball gun that can be easily switched from automatic to semi-automatic and back.

4. Ask store employees for more information about the particular paintball guns you’re considering for purchase. Most people who work in stores that carry paintball guns also play. They can provide information not normally found on the gun’s packaging or specifications. They also often know about a particular gun’s reliability, and nobody wants a paintball gun that is known to jam often.

5. Search the Internet for information about the paintball gun models you’re interested in. You can sometimes find personal stories in blogs about players who use those models. This information can help you make the final decision on purchasing a paintball gun (see Resources below).

6. Purchase your paintball gun.

How Much Psi Is In A Co2 Paintball Tank

A standard CO2 paintball tank is rated for either 3,000 or 4,500 psi. Both the psi and the volume of a tank determine how many shots the tank will fire before it needs to be refilled.

Identification

Psi measures the pounds per square inch of pressure that the tank is rated for. The higher the psi of the tank, the more shots you will be able to fire. If your tank is not rated at 3,000 or 4,500 psi, consider purchasing a tank with one of these standard ratings.

Considerations

The liquid CO2 in paintball tanks does not convert to gas at a constant rate. This means that the amount of CO2 leaving your tank--and the overall psi entering your gun--is constantly fluctuating. For this reason, many paintball players choose high pressure air (HPA) over CO2. A regulator will help compensate for inconsistencies during the release of the CO2.

Volume

The volume of the tank also affects how many shots you will get from your marker. Common volumes of paintball tanks range from 14 oz. to 20 oz. These sizes equate to 700 to 1,100 shots per fill, which will also vary based on the psi.

Get A Butt Like Jlo'S

Want to tighten your rear end? Jealous of the glorious posterior that J-Lo sports? While you may not be able to get a butt that is identical to hers, you can get yours in excellent shape. By following this routine, you will be on your way to having a butt that leaves others envious.

Instructions

1. Put on comfortable clothing. When doing any type of workout, it is best to wear loose, comfortable clothing, or clothing that is specifically designed for exercising. You should also have good running shoes to ensure you do not injure your feet or calves in any way.

2. Being stretching. Raise one arm over your head and stretch it in the opposite direction. Repeat with the other arm. Next, with your legs straight, bend over and touch your toes. You should feel the pull on your calves. Stand up and lift one leg behind you, pulling your foot toward your butt with the corresponding hand. Your supporting leg should be slightly bent. Repeat on the other side. Finally, sit on the floor with your legs formed into a V and lean forward, stretching both hands toward one foot. Hold for 5 seconds, then repeat on the other side.

3. Place your stair stepper in a location that is open and wide. With your hands on your hips and your stomach muscles tight, begin stepping up, one foot at a time. Start out with 20 repetitions, then repeat beginning with the other foot. You can then do this in reverse, starting by standing on the stair stepper and stepping down.

4. Place your chair with the back facing your side. Use the chair for support. Place the other hand on your hip, tighten your abs, and with your knees slightly bent. begin to do squats. Sit back as if you are going to sit in a chair. Start out with 10 repetitions. You can increase these as you get stronger. Eventually, you should be able to do these without the chair and both hands on your hips.

5. Every other day, jog or walk in place of doing the squats and stepper. If you don't already walk or jog on a regular basis, begin with walking for 30 minutes. As you get stronger, you can steadily increase the pace until you are walking briskly, and eventually jogging. After you gain strength, you will be able to increase the amount of time you jog as well.

Make Antique Shells For Guns

Antique bullet shells

The best way to make antique shells for guns is to use antique gun molds. Antique gun shell molds are purchased from antique gun dealers who specialize in guns and antique gun parts. An antique shell would be the equivalent of the modern day bullet. On antique guns, there were muzzle-loading and cartridge-firing types. In the case of antique shells, they generally came from shotguns made until 1898.

Instructions

Acquire the Mold

1. Go to antique gun shows, where dealers are selling antique guns and antique gun-related merchandise. Look for the biggest shows, where there will be the most variety of antique gun molds for sale. Check out the USA gun show website at http://www.gunshows-usa.com. This website has listings for various gun shows throughout the United States, with maps and directions to various shows nationwide. There are licensed dealers online that also sell these molds on their websites. Check out http://oldguns.net.

2. Decide what type of precious metal to use in the antique mold and purchase the specific precious metal for melting. Metal alloys should be melted separately and not mixed. Purchase precious metal in affordable chunks called "ingots." Check out http://www.cmxmetals.com.

3. Purchase a crucible. A crucible is a vessel made from graphite and clay, and used within a furnace to melt precious metals at temperatures up to 1600C. To purchase a crucible, go to a clay pottery studio and inquire about used crucibles for sale, or online check out The Graphite Shop at http://www.graphitestore.com. Use a crucible outdoors with a propane heater or in a properly ventilated area. lngots should be placed on a crucible within a removable refractory, the piece used to pour the melted liquid metal into the mold.

4. Melt ingots in a furnace or a kiln. Insert the crucible with the metal in place into the furnace. Silver is melted at 961C and 1760F. To find a complete table of melting temperatures for metals and alloys look at http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/melting-temperature-metals-d_860.html.

5. Take a torch or a soldering tool, heat it to melt the precious metal. Gold is easily pliable with a torch when heated at 710/787 degrees Fahrenheit, and 1310/1450 degrees Celsius. Gold shells in an antique mold could be used for making bullet jewelry.

The Finished Shell

6. Pour metal into mold. The mold should be positioned on a sturdy slate, clay or wooden surface, either outdoors or in a well ventilated area.

7. Allow the metal to set, which is a fairly quick process once out of the melting device and poured into the mold.

8. Remove antique shells from the mold, and quickly place them in a bowl of cold water. The water will harden the bullet shells further. It takes on average two days for maximum hardness, and then the antique shells are ready.

Start A Gun Shop

Open a gun shop.

The federal government strictly regulates the gun industry. As required by law, starting a gun shop requires a Federal Firearms License. In addition to a clean record, other regional licenses may also be required. A gun shop can be difficult to open but profitable in the long run.

Instructions

1. Acquire your Federal Firearms License from the federal government. Applicants must be at least twenty one years old, able to buy guns and free of any gun control violation. Any indication of a previous conviction can delay your application with the Alcohol Firearm and Tobacco Agency.

2. Find a location. An official business location must be opened before receiving a license. Search for prospective locations in a high traffic area. Contact a real estate agent about prime location sites. Once a site is established, the local and state police must be informed. Contact the zoning department for compliance information. Apply for business permits and tax numbers. Keep a detailed account of gun transactions in case of an audit.

3. Decide on the types of ammunition you want to sell. Write a business plan to estimate start up costs and general information. Create a marketing plan to target the popularity of certain guns. Find reputable gun manufacturers to conduct business with. In addition, decide on what firearm accessories to carry. Install gun safes and security systems for your business.

4. Market your business in the regional newspapers and publications. Start a referral program. Join the National Rifle Association and hunting and camping clubs in your area to network. Stage a grand opening. Construct a website and include important information about your new gun shop.

Sterilize Co2 Cartridges

Carbon dioxide (CO2) cartridges are used in a variety of ways. Large canisters are used in restaurants for adding carbon dioxide to beverages; smaller cartridges are used as a propellant for paintball guns and other projectile weapons. CO2 cartridges can get dirty and require regular cleaning, depending on how they're used. Cleaning and sterilizing CO2 cartridges can be done fairly quickly and with a limited amount of supplies.

Instructions

1. Wash your hands with soap and water. You need your own hands to be clean before you can sterilize anything else.

2. Apply rubbing alcohol to a cotton ball or swab.

3. Run the cotton swab over the exterior of the cartridge to remove any dirt and debris that can feed bacteria. The alcohol will also kill off any bacteria already present and will sterilize the cartridge.

4. Wipe any excess rubbing alcohol off the cartridge with a clean, dry rag. The inside of the cartridge should already be sterilized because pressurized C02 makes it difficult for bacteria to grow.

Fill A Co2 Canister With An Air Compressor

You can use compressed air/CO2 canisters for a variety of applications, from paintball guns and accessories to pellet rifles. However, getting the compressed air/CO2 canisters filled each time by a shop can become expensive. If you have a compressed air/CO2 tank fitting and an air compressor, you can easily fill the compressed air/CO2 tanks yourself and save considerable money.

Instructions

1. Screw the compressed air/CO2 tank onto the compressed air fitting on the end of the compressor hose. Unscrew the bleed-off valve on top of the fitting to allow all of the leftover compressed air/CO2 to evacuate from the tank.

2. Close the bleed valve, then turn on the compressor. Fill the tank for approximately two seconds for each ounce of of compressed gas the tank will hold. For example, fill a 9-oz. tank for 18 seconds.

3. Turn off the compressor, and open the bleed valve for just a second or two to clean out the lines and make sure the tank valve closes properly. Unscrew the tank from the compressed air/CO2 tank adapter, and use it at your discretion.

Buy Star Trek Uniforms On Sale

Because "Star Trek" TV shows have not really been popular for more than a decade, getting a Star Trek uniform on sale is relatively easy. Although the big screen rework of the original Star Trek characters brought the show new fans, these uniforms typically only become popular in the mainstream during Halloween. But there is always a market for hardcore fans. The key to finding inexpensive Star Trek uniforms is to buy either immediately after Halloween or three to six months after Oct. 31. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

Buying Star Trek Uniforms on Sale

1. Wait for Halloween to come and go and head to a local store that sells costumes on Nov. 1. Stores that merely stock Halloween costumes such as Target or Wal-Mart will probably not reduce their prices on Star Trek uniforms as much as temporary Halloween costume stores that only rent sales space, so go to a Halloween store first. If the price is not to your satisfaction the day after Halloween, try taking a chance on the uniform still being there and costing less a week later.

2. Go to a Web site that specializes in Halloween costumes like Costumesupercenter.com or Spirithalloween.com. These Web sites sell Star Trek uniforms year round, but do their best business in the month or two leading up to Halloween. The best time to get a deal on a Star Trek costume is in the spring when few people are thinking about their Halloween costumes.

3. Surf over to eBay if you can't find a good deal on Star Trek costumes at Halloween costume Web sites. Don't look for a Star Trek uniform on eBay during September and October because the demand rises along with the cost. Look any time from immediately after Halloween to midsummer.

4. Visit an outlet center or liquidation store in November. Many stores sell their excess inventory to these discount stores and the best time to find them is right after Halloween. You may even get lucky and come across a bulk addition of costumes at other times during the year.

Tune A Single Action Revolver

The single-action revolver has been produced for generations, and is still a favorite among gun enthusiasts.

Traditional revolvers were made in single-action only. Single-action dictates that the hammer is cocked before the round can be fired. Tuning a revolver is a process that usually improves the revolver's function by lightening or intensifying the trigger pull. All revolvers are made differently, and the tuning process will vary considerably.

Instructions

1. Unload the weapon completely. Visually inspect the weapon to ensure that no live ammunition is present.

2. Disassemble your revolver. Consult your owners manual to perform this step.

3. Change out the trigger-return spring. A tuning kit will feature a variety of return springs. Choose the one that offers the best trigger return in terms of increase or decrease of trigger pull. Consult the owner's manual for specific return-spring removal.

4. Adjust the trigger's overtravel screw. The overtravel screw adjusts how far the trigger must travel before the return spring is engaged. Consult your owner's manual for adjustment procedures to increase or decrease travel.

5. Check your barrel and the cylinder headspace using a headspace tool. The correct headspace will vary between revolvers, as will the diameter of the necessary headspace tool and the headspace adjustment process. Consult the owner's manual for proper headspace procedures, and adjust accordingly.

6. Polish and clean all parts prior to reassembling your weapon. Clean, polished parts will allow for a smoother function and optimal shooting performance.

Run A Laser Tag Facility

You've checked demographics and invested bucks in a laser tag franchise. You've put together an indoor or outdoor facility full of exciting obstacles and multiple play levels. Now you need to implement a business action plan that will help build a customer base while you smoothly run your facility. Learn to set ground rules, provide the latest technology and keep your laser tag fans happy and coming back for more.

Instructions

Maintain Your Laser Tag Facility

1. Keep your outdoor sign looking new. This is your customer introduction to the facility and should make the best possible impression.

2. Scout your facility daily for hazards to staff or players, such as loose carpeting, holes in flooring or obstacles and burnt-out safety or emergency lights.

3. Be rigorous about hiring engaging and honest employees. Laser tag is a social game, and customers expect cheerful and positive interaction with staff.

4. Keep bathrooms clean and functioning. Lengthy parties or meetings make restroom service a large part of your operation.

5. Run laser tag facility management software to coordinate business operations. Many franchisers offer proprietary software.

6. Test your equipment daily. Nothing kills the party mood of a laser tag game like a faulty program or broken equipment.

7. Enforce employee rules so that they will enforce game-play rules. One of the biggest beefs of arena laser tag customers is cheating, and this can be eliminated by dedicated referees who know be friendly but firm in insisting on compliance.

8. Clean equipment used by the public often. This high-action game can cause lots of perspiration, which can result in unsanitary or odiferous body vests, shoulder packs or headbands.

Enhance Your Laser Tag Facility

9. Use an arcade service that allows you to swap game units. This way you'll always have the latest video games.

10. Increase staff to include party hosts and meeting facilitators, such as personal business coaches.

11. Find out what other local facilities offer for birthday or meeting packages and outdo them. Add refreshments and invitations or customized teambuilding workshops.

12. Run advertisements continually. It's been proven that repeat ads garner more business than one-time ads, even full-page ones.

43 Paintballs Vs 68 Paintballs

Paintballs

When choosing paintballs, it is important to get the correct size ammunition. The wrong-size paintball will often break inside of a paintball gun and will not fire. While there are several sizes of paintballs available on the market, two sizes have become the most popular. The .43 caliber and the .68 caliber paintball are the ammunition of choice for almost any paintball gun on the market.

What Is a Paintball?

Paintballs are small gelatin capsules filled with non-toxic, biodegradable, water-based paint. When shot from a paintball gun, the soft, brittle shell breaks, releasing the paint on the target. The paint washes away easily with water will not stain clothing or skin.

What Does Caliber Mean?

When talking about paintballs, many people use the term caliber. The caliber of a paintball is the same as its diameter. This means that a .43 caliber paintball is smaller than a .68 caliber paintball.

The .43 Caliber Paintball

These small paintballs are designed primarily for use in pistol-style and replica paintball guns. Replica paintball guns are modeled after real rifles and machine guns. Although these paintballs may be much smaller in size, their price is about that of .68 caliber paintballs. They are available in a wide variety of colors as well.

The .68 Caliber Paintball

The .68 caliber paintball is the most popular size, as it accommodates almost all paintball guns. It is commonly available at stores, paintball fields and online. Unlike the .43 caliber paintball, this type is available in many brands and often features colorful designs.

Is Either Size Better?

Both .43 and .68 caliber paintballs have virtually the same performance. They use the same type of ingredients and are equally accurate. The main advantage that a .68 caliber paintball has is the size of the splat: A .68 caliber paintball leaves a much more noticeable paint mark on the opponent.

Information On Gas Masks

A gas mask can be a necessity.

Concerns about attacks on cities, bioterrorism and swine flu brought gas masks to the forefront in the United States in the early days of the 21st century. Many U.S. residents began to think gas masks were needed, but this raised concern because, according to Nova Online, incorrect use of a gas mask can lead to suffocation.

Function

A gas mask, also known as a respirator, is a fitted device that fits over your face. The mask is designed to protect the wearer from harmful airborne substances, including viruses, poisons, bacteria and toxic chemicals. A filter on the mask strips the air of contaminants as they pass through the filter.

History

In the 1850s, Scottish chemist John Stenhouse created a mask capable of removing toxic gases from the air. Stenhouse's mask used a powdered charcoal filter to clean the air. Workers in London chemical factories wore the Stenhouse mask. According to Wabash College, James Bert Garner invented the gas mask in 1915. Garner was a U.S. chemist concerned about chemical attacks in World War I. Garner had done an experiment that showed wood charcoal could absorb toxic chemicals. After sharing his information with the British, the technology helped create masks for British soldiers during World War I. When U.S. soldiers entered the war, they wore the Garner mask as well. Stenhouse and Garner are only two of many people credited with creating the gas mask.

Types

According to CopPlus.com, the least effective type of gas mask is a half-mask air-purifying respirator. The half-mask covers the mouth and nose, but leaves the eyes vulnerable. The full-face, air-purifying respirator protects the entire face. Its weakness is it allows leaks if the mask is cracked or badly fitted. The self-contained breathing apparatus includes an air tank filled with purified air. The tank attaches to the mask and feeds clean air to the wearer.

Considerations

Gas masks are available from Army surplus stores, medical equipment suppliers and online retailers. According to the Washington state Department of Health, gas masks purchased at Army surplus stores or on the Internet aren't guaranteed to work. Reliable gas masks are normally custom-made for soldiers and people who work closely with hazardous chemicals.

Warnings

The Washington Department of Health advises civilians not to purchase gas masks. Chemical warfare attacks are unexpected so no one could know ahead of time to wear the mask. Civilians also aren't trained to properly use a gas mask. A gas mask purchased by a civilian is also likely to fit incorrectly.

Use A Paint Grenade

Lob a paint grenade into an area your paintball opponents occupy. It won't be a pretty sight.

Instructions

1. Familiarize yourself with the way your paint grenade works. Most paint grenades are made from a piece of surgical tubing that is filled with paint, folded in half and clipped at the end. When the ends become unclipped, the tubing bounces around and shoots paint out in both directions, creating a splattering mess.

2. Get within throwing distance of your opponent. Multiple opponents inside a structure is the perfect scenario for a paint grenade.

3. Pull the pin on the paint grenade without letting go of it.

4. Toss the paint grenade so that it lands as close as possible to your opponents.

5. Keep your paintball gun ready in case your opponents try to bolt away from the grenade. This is a good opportunity to tag them with a quick shot (if they're not already tagged).

6. Call for a referee paint-check if your opponents do not call themselves out and you think the grenade was successful. Often players do not realize they were painted because they're used to feeling the impact of the ball.

Make A Cork Gun

Cork guns, sometimes known as pop guns, are a popular toy that relies on air pressure to fire a small cork or plastic foam projectile. The toys are harmless, since the maximum velocity of such a low-density projectile is very low. The toys also make an entertaining and characteristic "popping" sound when fired. Cork guns can be made from parts found around the house.

Instructions

1. Cut the dowel and the PVC pipe. The dowel must be longer than the pipe; it will act as a plunger. Ideal lengths are 16 inches and 12 inches respectively.

2. Bevel the inside of one end of the PVC pipe. This can be done by using the scissors to shave down the inside of the pipe.

3. Use the beveled PVC pipe to punch circles out of the foam board. In total, the circles should have a cumulative height of about an inch.

4. Stack the foam circles so that the wider ends are facing upward and screw them into one end of the dowel. Tape a 12-inch string near the "handle" end.

5. Back the dowel through the PVC pipe. The end with the foam screwed on should back through the pipe last.

6. Tape the free end of the string to the base of the PVC pipe. This will keep the plunger from being taken out of the pop gun.

7. With the plunger fully extended, place a cork into the beveled end of the cork gun and depress the plunger rapidly to fire.

Difference Between 5 56 Vs 7 62 Ammo

The U.S. military services strive to find perfect ammunition.

The 5.56 and the 7.62 ammunition have many differences but share some similarities too. Military services strive to find the best ammunition for their service rifles, so they spend a lot of time and money on research and development. The U.S. armed forces have been very successful with these efforts. The 5.56 and 7.62 were both improvements of designs preceding them and have been serving in these roles for decades.

Recoil

The 5.6x45mm NATO was designed for the M-16 by Remington Arms in the United States. It has been the mainline cartridge for NATO forces from the Vietnam Conflict to the present. It replaced the 7.62. At the time of selection, it was decided the 7.62 mm was causing excessive recoil, which caused poor accuracy. The 5.56 recoil is approximately 50 percent less.

Ammunition

The 5.56 was derived from the .223 Remington. The bore of the 5.56 is .22, the same diameter as the .22 rimfire. The 7.62 was developed from the .308 Winchester rifle cartridge and designed to replace the U.S. military's .30-06 Springfield rifle cartridge. Its bore is .30, which is considered a large caliber. The 5.56 is shorter, thinner and lighter than the 7.62. It was proved during military testing that a soldier could carry 200 more rounds of 5.56 than the larger cartridge.

Bullets

The 7.62 shoots a larger, heavier bullet. The NATO round was a 150-grain full-metal-case (fmj) projectile. The first 5.56 NATO round fired a much lighter 55-grain fmj projectile. As the cartridge evolved, the 5.56 saw the weight of its projectile increase in weight. The current NATO rounds carry bullets that weigh between 68 and 70 grains.

Effectiveness and Uses

The bigger cartridge is much more powerful, delivering nearly more than 1,000 foot pounds of muzzle energy than the smaller one. The 7.62 is used by snipers and specialized assault units because it is considered more lethal for this purpose. It is also used in target competition because the heavier projectile is less affected by crosswinds. However, the lighter bullet flies faster and has a flatter trajectory. With its lighter weight, less recoil and higher rate of fire, it is arguably considered the best cartridge in the world carried by mainline troops.

What Are The Dangers Of Cap Guns

Children should only use their cap guns under parental supervision.

Cap guns first gained popularity following World War II and the rise of television and Western films. When fired, the guns emit a loud sound and sometimes smoke. The toy guns "fire" small plastic caps that come in single, roll or disk packs.

Hearing Loss

The gun's firing sound can severely damage a child's hearing, because their ear buds are especially sensitive. Therefore, if they do fire a cap gun it should be at least a foot away from their ears. Furthermore, they should only be fired outdoors. The same is true to a lesser extent for adults.

Eye Injury

Children can incur serious eye injuries while firing a cap gun. The same can be true for airsoft and paintball guns. Therefore, always point the gun away from your face when you're handling it. Also, remember to wear eye protection.

Real vs. Toy Guns

A child who is used to playing with a cap gun could conceivably mistake a real gun for a toy. Furthermore, a police officer could mistake the cap gun in your or your child's hands for a real gun, as some toys are ultra-realistic.

Burns

Carrying caps from a gun in your pocket can cause burns. This includes ring caps, paper roll caps and strip caps. This is because many caps contain traces of pyrotechnic material that can cause burns.
